Hi!
A little about me - I'm pushing 34, have a 10 month old DD that I'm still breastfeeding and really want to conceive no.2 asap!
I am on my second cycle since AF returned and am temp / CM / CP charting using fertility friend and have OPKs!
I ovulated on day 29 of my last cycle, and am on day 21 at the moment.
Have been having fun and games with very fertile signs over the past week, so lots of BD, but no ovulation, poor DH is full of a cold and not feeling very energetic but I keep insisting that he perform until my temps go up

So anyway - hoping that there are others out there in a similar boat who can help to keep me sane and hopefully share some good news in the coming months.

oh Hulla - so sorry you had to go back after the eprc but hope you are feeling better now. I can imagine it must have been so difficult afterwards. Glad your mum is looking after you. Thinking of you lots - hope the pain gets less soon xxx

Hulla · 10/12/2010 15:30

Thanks LadyGG and mama I did have a panic over the pins and needles - I truly thought I had a clot or something. I am prone to being a bit dramatic Grin.

I feel good today. I think I underestimated how stressful the waiting was.

Hope you're both well. Lady will you update us here on your scan?

How are you mama?

LadyGoneGaga · 10/12/2010 15:42

I will Hulla but it's not for another 10 days. But I feel dog rough so that's good.

Hulla · 10/12/2010 16:48

Grin absolutely!

pookamoo · 10/12/2010 17:31

Take it a bit easy, hulla

DH had a horrible cold yesterday and stayed home in bed all day. This consequently meant that by the time I got home from work, DD was in bed and I went up to get all sexy ready for bed, he was wide awake and busy around the house... and I was fast asleep by the time he came up! grrr.

Anyway, I woke him up early today, and his comment was that he didn't expect the karma sutra first thing in the morning! Grin But he did agree that needs must if we are trying to catch that egg, cold or no cold!

One more day in the ovulation window, then it will be 2ww time! eek!

DitaVonCheese · 10/12/2010 20:27

Oh Hulla, glad you are feeling better and that someone is looking after you, even if your DH is being a bit crap :(

Also Grining at LadyGG being glad to feel dog rough Grin

And good work pookamoo, good luck!

LifeOfKate · 10/12/2010 21:18

Hulla, glad you're feeling a bit better, hope the pins and needles clears up. Have been thinking about you x

Well done pookamoo, I am quite persistant when ovulating too Wink Good luck on the 2WW :)

Hulla · 10/12/2010 21:44

DH is back in my good books as he's just gone out to get me junk from McDonalds.

Pooka that's exactly what ttc should be like! Have fun Grin

MandaHugNKiss · 11/12/2010 20:28

Where else is it totally ok for me to be excited aboutthe fact it's cd8 and I'm already seeing a bit of ewcm? And to be rather excited that the last time that happened this early, I O'd cd13 and fell pregnant with DS2.

In theory I'd get DP doing daily duties, as it were, from now. But naturally he's away until tomorrow evening. Oh well, I'm sure it'll be fine if I just jump on him the moment he walks in the door (DS2 very poorly and my two teenagers notwithstanding!)

hulla hope you're continuing to feel better. Sometimes, the evil fare of the golden arches just Hits the Spot. Sad, but true!

Conversely, hope you're continuing to feel dog-awful Lady Grin

pook are you charting? If so have you seen a shift and of not do you feel you O'd?

Gotta run, I only et a few minutes here and there between bouts of DS2 needing to cling to me and whiiiine. Remind me why I'm wanting to do this all again, again!

pookamoo · 11/12/2010 22:03

Manda I'm not charting, I use on of these Persona machines.
I've used it for a number of years now, with the Pill in between. It's a fertility monitor. It gives you "red" or "green" days, depending on the likelihood of getting pregnant, and tells you when you are going to ovulate within the next 2-3 days. It worked like a charm for DD, but this time around I think it could be "user error" !

I am a bit Blush about my previous post now... probably TMI!

Hulla · 12/12/2010 09:06

Pooka you could be getting a couple if surges in a month so maybe not user error. What cd are you on?

Manda you're right, it'd hard to even get dh excited about ewcm or CDs, this thread is a godsend. I couldn't even imagine talking to my best friend about ttc like we do here!

Everytime we have McDonalds I vow never again but somehow I forget how crap it is. Wonder if it's something they put in the fries...

Off to do a bit of Christmas shopping today. Hope you're all having a lovely weekend.

pookamoo · 13/12/2010 10:26

hmm, maybe, hulla. I am on cd 17 today, and had my "O" symbol on the machine on days 12 and 13.

"Red" days this month were from day 7 till day 16. Glad of a rest now, to be honest! Xmas Wink

AF is due on day 27, which will be Christmas Day. That's great because we will either have double celebrations, or plenty to do to take our minds off it.

I don't really know about "surges" though - can you enlighten me?

MarmiteMagic · 14/12/2010 10:20

Hello! Just wanted to introduce myself really - I've been a bit of a lurker for a few weeks now.

I have one DD who is almost 10months and DP and I would love to start TTC #2 but AF still not made an appearance yet Sad

BUT have had a teeny bit of EWCM over the past few days so am keeping my fingers crossed it won't be long now.

Looking forward to chatting with you all - I have loads of newbie questions as although DD wasn't exactly a surprise we hadn't expected anything to happen quite that soon and never got around to any of this charting malarky last time!

Marmite

Mamafoof · 14/12/2010 10:23

Glad you are feeling better Hulla. You will have your good and your bad days but overall it does get better. I feel alot better thanks. It does hit me sometimes - like when we were in Mamas and Papas the other day - felt a little sad and everytime you see someone pregnant is a little reminder. However, Christmas is definitely keeping us busy not to mention my DD - who is bringing me so much joy at the moment so everything helps. Am hoping I get my AF next week - if I do, hopefully that means all is back to normal but am not holding my breath as I know that first af after an mc is always random!

Good luck Manda and Pookamoo for this month - hope you get an extra present at Christmas Xmas Grin

silkenladder · 14/12/2010 16:08

Just checking in here. I've been very busy in RL the last few days, but have been lurking in spare moments.

Welcome Marmite I was also a charting novice a month ago, so now, of course, an expert Grin I've been finding it a bit frustrating seeing day after day of unchanging temps as I haven't ovulated yet, but on the other hand, I do feel I know what's happening with my body a bit better and am not convincing myself I could be pregnant every couple of weeks.

I have a dr's appt on Thurs, will be back after that to let you all know whether there's any hope for me what she says.

LadyGoneGaga · 15/12/2010 09:02

Silkenladder and Marmite why not check out the charting thread - a lovely bunch of girls and lots of us have had BFP's recently so there are "vacancies".

Sorry haven't been around much, continuing to feel rubbish which I know is good but also a bit wearing. My early scan on Monday so not too much longer to wait to check the bean is ok. Feels very unreal this time round - like I'm not letting myself believe I'm pregnant. May be more real after the scan.

pookamoo · 15/12/2010 09:18

Are we going to need a new thread soon? This one is almost up to 1000!

MandaHugNKiss · 15/12/2010 18:12

I think you're correct about needing a new thread pook but I'm far too 'new' to do it...

Oooh, lady sorry you feel bad (even though it's kinda good Smile). THanks for the heads up on the charting thread, I think I'll be Lurky McLurk there.

HUge temp dip this morning, but then I've had Precious Little sleep these last three nights; even less than my usual Very Little, thanks to DS2's illness. Which I definitely have. Great timing considering we leave at 5am next wednesday and I've still got SO much to do (not least of which is hatching and catching an egg ) I thought it might be a pre-o dip but knowing my luck this illness will push me back.

QueenFee · 15/12/2010 19:22

I haven't been charting as still waiting for af. Feeling a bit more hopeful than my last negative post as ds is sleeping better again. Also my skin has been really spotty which is usually a pre af thing for me so fingers crossed.
With the other 3 I fell pregnant really quickly so this is totally new territory for me.
Is anyone on the 2ww?

pookamoo · 16/12/2010 10:28

Hi queen I'm on the 2WW, and due to test on Christmas day! I think manda is also?

I have caught DH's grotty cough and cold from last week, so feeling lousy and not taking anything just in case!

MandaHugNKiss · 16/12/2010 12:26

No tww for me yet... cd13 today - I've been O'ing cd21 but taking agnus castus ths cycle so hoping it will bring me forward ('twas cd13 for the two cycles i took it before... although wasn't breastfeeding then).

I don't feel I'm going to O any day (and I usually know) but you never know. I've started the opk's and they are... snow white. Sheesh. Would it be normal for them to go from snow white to a positive within a day or would there be a gradual fade in, as it were? Or, let me guess, it's different for different women and then again dfferent in different cycles so it's impossible to say! Gah, sometimes our unique physiology is just a pain in the rear!

Kinda glad I'm not in the tww just now as I have a feeling I'm goin to be completely obsessed, particularly with 'searching for charts like mine' on FF. If I can O a few days before going away that's be ideal as I'll be unable to get online anyway (resolved to NOT take laptop) and happily distracted.

pookamoo · 16/12/2010 13:30

Oh, sorry manda I must have got mixed up.

Am at home nursing this nasty cough. I can't remember if it's ok to take anything in pregnancy, and since I don't know if I am or not, I would rather not take the chances. I know aspirin is out of the question, but paracetemol? Beechams? bleugh... Confused

MandaHugNKiss · 16/12/2010 15:12

Paracetamol is definitely ok.

If a bean is busily implanting, remember it's not technically plugged in to the main blood supply in the very beginning so to a degree you have a little leeway with what you can take (how many mothers get spectacularly drunk before they get their bfps all to no consequence despite months of hand wringing?) - but that said you also need to bear in mind what passes in to your milk.

silkenladder · 16/12/2010 15:19

Should I do the honours?

pookamoo · 16/12/2010 17:16

True, Manda, and I have taken paracetemol before since BFing. Probably just being over-careful re a bean just because I don't want to do anything to lessen the chances!

Go on, silken, it would be lovely if you could make us a new thread!
