Hi!
A little about me - I'm pushing 34, have a 10 month old DD that I'm still breastfeeding and really want to conceive no.2 asap!
I am on my second cycle since AF returned and am temp / CM / CP charting using fertility friend and have OPKs!
I ovulated on day 29 of my last cycle, and am on day 21 at the moment.
Have been having fun and games with very fertile signs over the past week, so lots of BD, but no ovulation, poor DH is full of a cold and not feeling very energetic but I keep insisting that he perform until my temps go up

So anyway - hoping that there are others out there in a similar boat who can help to keep me sane and hopefully share some good news in the coming months.

Fantastic news, Dita. Will continue to keep everything crossed although am starting to get cramps now Wink Sorry to hear that you've also had bad news.

DitaVonCheese · 12/11/2010 14:13

Thank you all so much Grin Blush I can't actually believe it. I put a +ive test on FF yesterday and it popped up this big screen saying "Congratulations on your pregnancy! Would you like us to announce it?" etc and all I could think was "Nooooooo, it's not real" and closed the page in a panic Blush

I might just go and lurk on some July antenatal threads though ...

Mamafoof · 12/11/2010 14:42

v cautiously and tentatively posting but i got my bfp - can't believe it as thought i was out as had a bit of spotting. so so nervous (esp when i breastfeed - but think it's ok to do so still, right?)

anyway, keep your fingers crossed for us and hope you all get your bfps v v soon!

LadyGoneGaga · 12/11/2010 14:53

Whoop, Mamafoof Grin. How exciting!

DitaVonCheese · 12/11/2010 14:55

Yay yay yay! Grin Have they put something in the water do you think? Grin

Know exactly what you mean about worrying while bfing but I think it's okay once implantation has taken place.

Mamafoof · 12/11/2010 15:54

thank you ladies! So Dita - how often do you BF? And how long you planning to go on for? I do so twice a day but want to try to get to 1 and then eventuallu none once pregnancy progresses hopefully.

Hulla · 12/11/2010 17:45

Wow!! Congratulations mamafoof! The thread is having a great month Smile

I still feed dd a lot at night, last night was all night (well, felt like it). And she latched on a lot today just to suckle. My nipples are sore though but I'm sticking with it for now. I don't plan to wean her but then I don't know how bad it will get.

I still can't believe it myself Dita. I think it's because when you test early you can convince yourself it's wrong.

I am constantly starving at the moment which is accompanied with nausea before & after eating. During is fine Smile.

Hoping for a few more bfps...

Beveridge · 12/11/2010 21:42

Just popped in to say hello and see how everyone is Smile

So chuffed to see all the BFPs! Clearly it's all been going off on this thread! Grin

Had my 12 week scan this week, all fine apart from morning sickness that will not shift. It's started earlier than with DD and is going on for longer and this week I have actually been throwing up in the mornings.

This baby will be made largely of Coca Cola at this rate, as it's the only thing that stays down before 11am! Blush

If men got pregnant, I suspect mat leave would start at conception.

Hope the current good run continues!

QueenFee · 13/11/2010 01:37

loving the bfps! Congrats Mamamoof :)
Fingers crossed it's my month too!
As for if men got pregnant Mat leave would start at conception that really made me laugh how true!

silkenladder · 13/11/2010 08:00

Congratulations Mamafoof Grin

LadyGG, have been stalking your chart. Looking good (as far as I can tell as a complete beginner)!

There won't be many of us left as this rate!!!

LifeOfKate · 13/11/2010 22:34

Woah, I step away from the thread for 5 seconds and suddenly there are all these BFPs flying about!!! Shock

Seriously though, Big Big Congratulations to Hulla, Dita, Mamafoof :o

And hello again to the graduates, you know we demand birth announcements when the time comes, don't you?

Things are ok with me, recovered fine from operation although still need to investigate surgery site and see if things are in working order yet Blush Think I'm just putting it off as I'm scared it won't have worked (thus putting of TTC again) and according to the surgeon, the next step would be vaginal dilators which do NOT sound much fun at all Shock Anyway, will keep you all updated :)

WRT my cycle, I had AF last week (from 3rd Nov to 10th), which means my last cycle was 42 days long... that's not ideal, is it? Also it means that what I thought was EWCM wasn't which is a bit depressing, how am I supposed to get this right when I am getting unreliable messages? :(

LadyGoneGaga · 14/11/2010 07:28

Kate when did you get EWCM? You can get several bouts of it in a cycle, the FINAL bout will precede ovulation. Basically as body gears up to ovulate it will raise Eostrogen that makes you produce EWCM in advance of ovulation but if you have some stress or illness or just something to make the body want to delay ovulation, then it will dry up again and prob come back in a few days? Could this have happened and you didn't notic it.

My typical cycle is around 35 days but can go from 28 to 40 days so I am used to multiple patches of the stuff!

Thanks for stalking my chart, Silkenladder. Fingers crossed!

DitaVonCheese · 14/11/2010 17:06

Oooh LadyG - I'm liking all the symptoms at the bottom of your chart! When are you POAS?

LadyGoneGaga · 14/11/2010 17:26

POASed yesterday (at 9dpo, am idiot!). Blush BFN obviously. So will test again Weds-ish I think. On tenterhooks.

LifeOfKate · 14/11/2010 21:53

Ooo, thanks for that LadyGG, I did get it a couple of times and with my operation coming up and lots of other stuff going on, I did have a bit of stress last month which I guess could have delayed ovulation. Just a little frustrating for me, I used to be a regular 28 days with a very obvious bout of EWCM bang on CD14, I can't cope with all this uncertainty! Blush

LadyGoneGaga · 15/11/2010 10:52

Tested again this morning(have no will power whasoever) - BFP!!!!!! Grin

Am feeling a bit nervous. Only 11dpo today and lost my last bean at 7 weeks so scared but happy.

Mamafoof · 15/11/2010 13:14

congrats LadyGoneGaga!! so exciting!! Let's hope all goes well for us and wishing the rest of the ladies loadsa luck too! xx

DitaVonCheese · 15/11/2010 14:12

Yay yay yay yay LadyG! Grin Grin I won't bother with OPKs etc next time, just get myself a cycle buddy, works every time Wink Have you made it into July or will it be an August baby? I've been lurking on the July thread but not quite ready to post yet ... Blush

(Btw, I started testing at 8DPO this month Blush Blush)

What an epic few weeks for this thread Grin

No news really from me, still appear to be pg, still haven't taken it in Blush Still temping because I'm not sure when to stop, plus I find it reassuring (wrongly?) to see my nice high temp each morning.

Anyway, high fives all round :)

LadyGoneGaga · 15/11/2010 14:27

Scraped into July Dita - 28th. Grin

BFN 9dpo (Internet Cheapie AND First Response as was convinced internet cheapie was wrong). This morning (11dpo) used a different Internet cheapie, thought there was a suggestion of a line if squined really, really hard. Seriously, if DP had have been there he would have said "No way". So did my last FR and got my clear line!

I felt pregnant from 6dpo to be honest.

DitaVonCheese · 15/11/2010 15:05

I may have had a glimmer at 8DPO but I think I was probably just seeing where the line was wet/slightly differently textured due to the nature of the test. It was fun doing one a day though and watching it turn darker, even if I wouldn't have dared call it a BFP until 12DPO.

28th is our wedding anniversary :) Think my EDD is 24th, though I went 12 days over last time so will be lying to my family this time and claiming it's August ;)

LadyGoneGaga · 15/11/2010 15:16

I went into labour on my due date Dita so looks like I might beat you! Good call on August though to family. I may do same as my Mother did my head in last time, bless her.

LifeOfKate · 15/11/2010 15:32

Yay, congratulations LadyGG :o

What an exciting time for our little thread! I am so chuffed for everyone :o

Hulla · 15/11/2010 16:05

Oh my God!!! Yay! Congratulations LadyGGG!

Eeeek! What a fantastic month for this thread.

Looking forward to you and Dita joining the July thread. I have been bandying my pearls of wisdom around already!

Oh I think I will add two weeks onto my due date, good idea.

Still not many symptoms here. No sore boobs though my nipples are amazingly sore and darker which I didn't notice last time. I am still hungry, hungry, hungry but not all that nauseaus unless I'm on a train (not normally travel sick).

I quizzed the midwife about my symptoms (or lack of) this morning but she said not to worry. So I'm tryin not to.

LadyGoneGaga · 15/11/2010 16:17

Thanks Hulla. I might wait a little bit to join July thread until I feel a bit more confident as I lost my last pregnancy at 7 weeks in September. So I have some mental blocks to get over!

Last time it started to get really painful to feed DS. I'm starting to think about weaning as he's 2 and a half but he loves it soooo much. Says it tastes like Strawberry milk and it is "yummy, yummy in my tummy". He just has morning and evening but feeds for aaaaages each time - secretly hoping milk dries up really quickly/starts to taste yucky and he loses interest! I might have to put Nailbiting stuff on my nips.

Hulla · 15/11/2010 16:27

Completely understand you wanting to wait. It's the reason I haven't told my siblings. I am very frightened this time, although haven't experienced loss like that so I imagine that makes you feel more worried. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!
