Dana

Hello Missbehaven! I don't really have any good advice on this either, but do know that most doctors won't consider any intervention until you've been trying for 12 months. Would it be worth going to see your GP, just for a 'chat' about your situation and to see if they have any specific advice. Also, if things have happened for you within 12 months, at least you have already made yourself known to them, and it might speed things up for you later?

Anyway, hope it doesn't come to that for you. There is a strong chance that if you are BD'ing at the right times, etc. nature will take its course when its ready! Coming off the pill can really mess up some people's cycles for a while.

MissBehaven · 13/07/2005 14:48

Thanks girls, ive not been on the pill since i stopped taking it when i fell pregnant before. We just thought of it as "if it happens, great!" But now we really do want another as we (think) we're ready now...

homemama · 13/07/2005 17:07

Hi girls! No OV yet, according to the sticks! Had to use two sticks this morning as I'm not very good at the hovering to pee thing and I dropped the first stick down the loo!!!
CD14 tomorrow so hopefully I'll get the line!

Sorry Dana Hope AF comes soon then you can get on with it again.
Welcome to everyone new.

2GIRLS · 13/07/2005 17:55

Hello MissBehaven,
this is my first month of ttc again. and I'm just waiting to pg test. I think next week will definitely show if I am or not - but in the meantime I have gone mad, I am testing every day even though I KNOW that it is way, way too early but because it's a BFN I'm convinced that I'm not pregnant, even though I'm having loads of symptoms. Confused?..I am!!!

lilaclotus · 13/07/2005 18:04

welcome missbehaven!

as AF went yesterday we had our first go at BDing (a bit early i know but we need to get practice!). two things about this: 1. dp was cross because i didn't lie on the bed with my legs in the air afterwards 2. he said it was much more fun when sex actually had a purpose. lovely, isn't he!

sarjon · 14/07/2005 10:26

Hello everyone, haven't been on here for a while as have been on holiday (1st anniverary with DH and af arrives the 1st day of holiday - typical!)

Just to recap am ttc 1st baby and am only in 1st month of trying. Have finally caved in and am now using fertilityfriend.com to try and keep track of where my cycle is at (apparently cd12 so time to start the action!!). Actually finding it v interesting knowing exactly where and what my body is doing as have only ever seen af as a nusiance (sp.) before now so can appreciate where your dp is, ahem, coming from lilaclotus!!!.. Sorry, rambling now....

Anyway, good luck to you all, xx

Dana · 14/07/2005 14:43

Sarjon, welcome back. Hope you had a good holiday! Sorry about Af arriving, but sounds like you and DH are in for a couple of fun days

2girls, when is af due? Hope your symptoms are all true...

lilaclotus, you husband sounds very sweet

lol at dropping the ov stick in the loo homemama I am useless at peeing on sticks too.

Gailey, there's a whole thread (also under conception) dedicated to the girl/boy timing question.

MandM, any sign of af yet? You were due today, right? Hope she doesn't show!!

Same old, same old here. Still no af, and pains have gone again. Am getting pretty fed up with it now but suppose I should just try not to think about it...easier said than done though..

homemama · 14/07/2005 19:12

Welcome back Sarjon! Can't remember when everyone is due so good luck with B'Ding and testing to all this next wk as we're off to family cottage on Isle of Wight for 10 days.
MandM, I know you're peeing on a stick on Sunday morn so good luck to you!
Dana, hope AF arrives soon so you can get on with the good stuff
Hope to come back to good news from some of you!!

Dana · 15/07/2005 06:24

Sounds lovely homemama. Have a great holiday

abbeyvale · 15/07/2005 12:12

Hi all,
new to mumsnet and hoping to be around for a while. been checking previous threads to look for some answers. TTC for the past two months after coming off pill.have DS who is 22 months.had crazy weekend two weeks ago which i knew would involve lots of drink and as AF was due on the friday did a test that pm & got +ive result.another the next morning also +ive.so didn't touch a drop all weekend.then tues am AF arrived !!!!did another test just to be sure and it was -ive. was so disappointed as we were really excited.been BD past few nights as think am ovulating and then this morning get light bleed!is this implantation bleed?can you be pregnant and still have AF?am quite confused!!DS was happy surprise so have no experience of "TTC".

Dana · 15/07/2005 12:54

Just wishing everybody a nice weekend. I'll be crossing my fingers for you on Sunday, MandM and will check in again on Monday - good luck!!

Welcome Abbeyvale.
It is possible to bleed - especially in early pregnancy - but since you had 2 positives, then bleeding, then a negative, it sounds like you might have been pg but had an early miscarriage. Sorry to say that

I might be wrong though. Maybe you could give your gp a call for some advice? Sure you will also get lots of advice and support from all the wise MNers

MandM · 15/07/2005 13:22

Hello everyone, I haven't checked in for a few days.

It is CD33 for me today and no AF (so far!). It arrived just before lunchtime on CD33 last month, so I have been watching the clock and nipping to the loo to check all morning! I am going to test on Sunday morning if it still hasn't arrived......will check in first thing on Monday and let you know whether I'm , or !
Hello again Sarjon.
Homemama have a brilliant holiday - it sounds lovely
Welcome Abbeyvale - I would second what Dana has said re last month - sorry . I think sometimes the pg just doesn't 'stick' but I'm no expert on the topic unfortunately. I suppose on the positive side, at least you know that you're fertile and things are all in working order! I have heard about implantation bleeds, but don't really know anything about them. Perhaps you could have a look through previous TTC threads/archives? Good luck for this month anyway.

Dana - has your AF arrived yet?

abbeyvale · 15/07/2005 13:56

Thanx MandM & Dana. Been looking thru other threads and getting some thougts from those. Am trying not to get hopes up for this month, but its so hard ! In the meantime thou plenty of BD - haven't been using temps or sticks yet to determine when ov, but it may well come to that in a few months !!!!!! Think will prob give gp a call too for some advice.
Thanx again s and good luckto anyone testing over the weekend.

Dana · 15/07/2005 14:18

No, nothing yet. Am getting so impatient
Have AF pains on/off. Also feels like someone is sitting on my bladder and need to pee every hour or so. Hmmmmm...
Probably just my mind playing tricks on me

MandM · 15/07/2005 14:28

Perhaps a little someone really is sitting on your bladder?!

Test again on Sunday morning - I'm sure it'll be lucky if we both do it at the same time

MrsQ · 16/07/2005 08:15

2Girls, you're on the same sort of dates as me I think and you're making me v tempted to test now! I'm planning to test on Thursday (CD28) - need to get it done before we go on holiday with the in-laws next weekend (no keeping it to ourselves there then, IF anything to keep to ourselves that is ) Will be really gutted if I don't get a +'ve result this month. Can't tell if I'm having symptoms or not... swaying madly between convinced I am and convinced its all in my head

Good luck on Sunday MandM (and Dana... )

sarjon · 17/07/2005 08:58

Just checking in to say I'm thinking of you MandM (and Dana??) when you test today.

Got everything crossed for you!!

MrsQ did you test?? I know how tempting it is I've been testing every blooming day (told you I was mad) can't seem to stop, luckily I'm getting them off ebay so v cheap.

I'm not totally sure of my dates but usually my cycle is around 35 days (though it has been more and less) so I am assuming that AF will be here 20 - 22 July.

My test today was neg as always, BUT I had a very light bleed which if it is AF then it's early and I don't think I get a light bleed before proper AF, so don't know what it is, could it be implantation bleed? Lots symmptoms and going toilet alot but this has happened before then I'm not pg.

Any news Dana and MandM..?

MandM · 18/07/2005 09:23

Morning!

Well, mixed news from me really. Unfortunately I gave in to temptation and used my last test on Saturday morning instead of Sunday morning. Got a BFN. Wish I'd waited that extra day now!

Anyway, today is CD36 and still no sign of AF. Feel distinctly 'weird' in my stomach and don;t know what to make of the whole thing.....

OP posts:
MandM · 18/07/2005 09:23

Dana - any news?

OP posts:
lilaclotus · 18/07/2005 10:41

mandm, i hope you can test again soon!!!
i should be ovulating tomorrow. i get ovulation pains, so hoping to get those soon. we're off on holiday on saturday (to the lake district) and i hope we can test when we get back.

Dana · 18/07/2005 15:02

It's so frustrating, isn't it MandM?! Hope it's just still too early to tell for you. Maybe your cycle was a bit longer this month.

I'm a bit down today. Have been going to the toilet non-stop the last few days, all my clothes are tight and I have been totally knackered, so DH made me do a test Sunday morning, as he was convinced I was pg. Did a cb one and could have sworn there was a line there. DH, however couldn't see anything and said I was nuts. 1 hour later fished the test out of the bin (as you do ) and there was a clear blue line on it. So even though I should have learned my lesson from last time, I had myself convinced I was pg.

Today I phoned my GP but the surgery is closed August 1st, so thought I would do another test just to make sure. BFN!!! No doubt about it.

Had a look at the website "peeonastick" and one of the pics of an evap line on cb test looked just like mine from yesterday....

So disappointed and feel a bit stupid for imagining all the symptoms.

Good luck to anyone testing this week. Might take a couple of days off MN as I need to try and focus on something else. But then again maybe to addicted to stay away

Phew, feel better now. Thanks for reading if you got this far.

MandM · 18/07/2005 15:08

Dana - that is so wierd - I just opened up this thread, and as I did your message appeared!

about your tests, but still not giving up hope for you yet. You definitely seem to have all the right symptoms. Do some chemists not offer free pregnancy tests as well as GP surgeries? It might be worth getting an 'expert' like them to do a test for you whilst your waiting for your GP to get back?

If you decide to take a few days off, remember to check back in before the end of the wek to let us know how you are.

Thinking of you x
