starry i'm 34 and due date around 18th march. how exciting! i too am gagging for that scan and shan't rest easy until I know it's viable.

Dana · 11/07/2005 12:48

Welcome Artoo. Hope you get the all clear soon

MandM, I have chickened out and decided to remain in blissful ignorance until Wednesday. I will then be able to trust the result and won't have to waste any more money on tests.

I am not too hopeful though as have absolutely no symptoms at all. The AF-like pains have gone as have the headaches and dizziness.

Have you decided when to test? Maybe you should wait until Thurs/Fri, if you can. Easier said than done, I know

How's everybody else? homemama, did you try those ov tests yet?

MandM · 11/07/2005 12:58

Hello Artoo

Dana, I've been thinking about it all morning and I have decided I am going to try my best to wait until the end of the week to test. I just have to summon up the will power now! Like you though, I don't want to keep wasting money on tests. I bought the cheap ones off e-bay but if I use those up I'll end up running out to the chemist and spending a fortune on posh digital ones.

I don't feel at all pg now either, although last week I really, really did, so who knows?!

I'll be looking out for your news on Wednesday - good luck

hi artoo! i had a smear test not long ago and the results came back a lot quicker than normal. it was less than a month. maybe i was just lucky!
anyway, AF nearly gone now. thank goodness. i forgot how bad AF is without the pill. i bought a pregnancy test for in a couple of weeks. i hope i will get a chance to use it!
good luck to all trying and those expecting!

gailey · 11/07/2005 16:51

Hi ladies,
I feel really old now, im 35. on CD6 so next few weeks ttc. I had 3 cheap pg tests from ebay, on last one now so lets hope this month will be third time lucky, going to Florida on 6th August so i am going to test on 5th if AF not turned up. 5th will be CD31. usual cycle is 29. so fingers crossed, and Good Luck to all of us ttc.
anyone heard from lovecloud?

homemama · 11/07/2005 21:21

Hi girls, just checking in. DH is off work this week so I'm doing a bit of supply teaching to keep my hand in. I'll try to check in in the evenings though.
Dana, I'm on CD11 today so I'll start testing with the OV sticks tomorrow. I'll let you know how I get on.

pinklilith · 12/07/2005 09:05

hey guys, so we're trying for march/april time babies now then? Well unfortunately I am joining you, not that I don't like you guys but I was hoping it was my turn. Lol, I bet we all say that at least once! I don't think we are going to try as hard this month though, I need a month where we are a little more relaxed.

MandM · 12/07/2005 13:04

Well, did a test this morning - I couldn't resist, but got a BFN . CD30 today and no sign of AF so I'm going to wait until weekend now and test again then if AF still hasn't arrived (fingers crossed). It will be CD34 on Saturday and AF came on CD33 last month.

Feeling crap today, BFN, dh has gone away until tomorrow night and I am bloated like a puffa fish! My normally flat stomach looks like a football and I weighed myself this morning and am 3.5lbs heavier than last week. Could all be signs of AF due, but then again could be something else....!

Dropped dd off at the childminders this morning and the cm's granddaughter announced "My mummy has got a baby in her tummy and guess what? Dady put it there!" - I think it was supposed to be being kept a secret for a few more weeks! Lovely news but I felt very . But there are only four weeks between her and dd, so it could be a good omen for me too!

MrsQ · 12/07/2005 13:56

Oh rats MandM, that's a horrid day. Did a quick check on list of pregnancy symptoms for you to see if 'puffa fish' was one of them but ended up just convincing myself that I'm definately going to get a BFN this month since have none of them (would be all of about 6 days pregnant so realistically s'pose maybe a bit early!)Fingers crossed for the weekend.

Sorry to hear your news Pinklilith - you never know, a more relaxed month might be just what you need... look what happened to Desperatehousewife

Dana - if you could test nice and early tomorrow that'd be great, then I can check MN while ds is in distracted by Balamory!

Dana · 12/07/2005 14:02

Oh MandM, sorry about BFN Could just be too early, if your cycle is 33 days It's such a horrible feeling though, isn't it?!
And it doesn't help when everybody else around are getting pregnant. My work is full of pg woman

Nothing new from me. Will let you all know how I get on tomorrow...

Dana · 12/07/2005 14:04

Will see what I can do MrsQ

MandM · 12/07/2005 14:28

Good luck for tomorrow Dana!

homemama · 12/07/2005 17:35

Used OV sticks this morning but nothing yet! I'm on CD12 today and cycle is usually 29days (pre baby) so maybe tomorrow.
Good luck Dana!

desperatehousewife · 12/07/2005 17:37

keeping everything crossed x for you...

Dana · 13/07/2005 06:35

Good morning girls.
Is this early enough for you, mrsQ?

Unfortunately I don't have any good news

Not feeling too bad, as it was what I expected, but off course I am a wee bit disappointed.

Just wish AF would hurry up, so that I can get on with next cycle. Can't believe I am actually wishing AF to come

Hope we'll have better news from MandM at the weekend (or earlier if you cave in again )

MrsQ · 13/07/2005 08:13

Oh I'm sorry Dana it's disapointing even if you were expecting it. Well, roll on AF - and another session of BDing to cheer you up

lilaclotus · 13/07/2005 08:19

awww dana sorry about your negative. better luck next cycle!

pinklilith · 13/07/2005 08:56

thanks MrsQ, I'm doing well so far, I haven't tested temps, I don't know when I am due on, I'm not calculating ovulation and I am starting a new diet to help me lose some weight. I will keep myself distracted.

Sorry about bnf dana and MandM, our month will come!

MandM · 13/07/2005 11:05

Dana

But it doesn't necessarily mean that is the end of all our hopes for his month does it? If your AF doesn't come by weekend we could do synchronized tests on Sunday monring!

OP posts:
MandM · 13/07/2005 11:07

Or Sunday morning even!

OP posts:
Dana · 13/07/2005 12:41

MandM, I like your optimism but think it is unlikely as I am on CD39. It should be showing up on a pg test by now. Think my cycle is just messed up because of the pill . Also am getting af-type pains again today, so might be starting today or tomorrow. I hope so!

Fingers crossed for you at the weekend. Hope af (yours) doesn't show up before then.

MissBehaven · 13/07/2005 13:18

Ive not read all your posts yet and im new to this but here goes. I fell pregnant with my first just a couple of months after meeting my hubby. That was 5 years ago! We decided last november to try for no. 2 but its just not happening! Should I be concerned? Any tips? (Apart from the obvious?)Thanks girls..

gailey · 13/07/2005 13:57

Dana - I hope something shows up soon for you.

Welcome Missbehaven, can depend if you have just stopped taking the pill or other contraceptive. I had my last inj in Dec, and only just started to get AF back, hopefully this month will OV will also show. On CD7 hopefully next week will be a good one.

Does anyone have any comments on the BD dates for concieving a boy or girl? have found out it is best BD times close to OV for a boy, anyone know if this is true?

Dana · 13/07/2005 14:26

Welcome Missbehaven (like the name). This is only my first month of trying, so probably can't offer you the best advice. But from what I have read and heard there is no need to worry until you have been trying for at least a year. Think according to statistics something like 85-90% of couples fall pg within the first year of trying. My friend recently went to the docs after a year with no luck and was told to come back 6 months later if still nothing.
I think a few of the girls on the "aprilbabyshowers"-thread have been trying for a while, so maybe they will be able to give you some better advice and good tips.

Dana · 13/07/2005 14:30

Sorry that was quite a long message without really adding any value

They just came round with ice cream for everybody in the office because it's so warm. I do love my work
