Thanks Iggy I stop a week on Tuesday but unfortunately have lots of work to do before then and then Christmas dinner to organise.

I'd definitely have the reassurance scan. I had scans at 8.5, 11 and 13 weeks. The middle one was a reassurance one. i didn't think I'd need it but it really helped to keep me sane(ish)

monkeybumsmum · 09/12/2009 19:01

Hello!!

Been madly busy and not had chance to post, but just wanted to say well done to Iggy and 4ever What fab news! Am so glad things are going well for both of you

Have to dash as just got in, but hi to all, and I hope you're all okay x

4everhopeful · 09/12/2009 19:17

Aw Neeko hon - big hug again from me too you, at least Dh lates are only 2/3 daya a week, how long does he get off for christmas? It will do you both the world of good when the hols arrive, theres light at the end of the tunnel, only 2weeks to go!!!

........and where are the christmas smileys?!?!?

iggy good to hear you're healthily shattered! I was, and still am reguarly going to bed at 9pm & dont know how Id of survived if I was trying to work!

I have just spent FOREVER trying to upload some scan pics on my profile! I have so many scan pics already I could fill an album up! We have them in little frames all over the house!!!! Anyway I managed to get 3 of Mondays pics uploaded to my profile, they are quite clear, some are funny angles & the one where you can see bubbas little hand its face looks like a little monkey! The one where you can see its arm & leg its turning over so looks really skinny, and the one where you can see its face, you cant see its arms or legs, but you get the drift!!!

bluesatinsash · 09/12/2009 20:20

Aww 4ever - what lovely scan photos - especially seeing the wee fingers . Its an honour to meet baby4ever . I'm thinking a girl?!!

Neeko - honey, wish I could waddle pop round for a cuppa. You work so hard and are always attentive to everyone on here despite having to juggle being pregnant with full-time job/DD/hard working DH/house etc. I really admire you and neither wonder you're feeling scunnered. Christmas holidays are nearly here so keep that thought in your head! Just remember it won't be long until you're off on mat leave and DD is at ante-pre giving you some well deserved and long overdue 'me' time (and maybe a wee trip into Glasgow to meet me and babyblue!)

Barbie - honey #2. Only 2 weeks until you can fully rest and relax. You've worked so hard and had to contend with your long hours, its probably feeling worse today as your mat leave is so near and yet so far...

Iggy - another vote for reassurance scans! I had them at 6, 7, 9 and 11 weeks and helped, in fact were the only reason I kept sane. Roll on your 11+6 week one though

Well babyblue is heading in the right direction . Midwife said head is down at the brim of cervix, not engaged but not free any more either. Bought my first baby clothes today - two tiny velvet hats, one in pink and one in blue for baby leaving hospital. Had a wee moment there in the shop thinking how this journey started back in July 2008 and all the pain, heartache, worry and stress that's happened since then. I'm nearly there, so nearly there and just wanted to say a truly heartfelt thanks for always being there, asking after me and sharing your heartfelt stories too, oh I'm getting all full of emulsion as my FIL would say .

Right off to do the ironing and yes where are the xmas smilies?!!

BlueMoon1981 · 09/12/2009 20:29

aww 4ever your scan photos are lovely, he/she looks a decent size already!

jools i agree, the end of this year can't come quick enough. sod christmas and everything else, i just want a clean slate and a brand shiny new year full of hope again. sorry to hear you flooded, but men being men won't have had the first clue. good to hear you sounding so positive

thanks to curly, neeko, mermaid barbie and blue (and anyone else i have probably missed) for your words of wisdom. i am conscious i haven't done much lately except bleat on about how sad i am and and about everything. as for the councelling (sp?) i have promised myself that if i still feel like this in January, i will seek some help. i personally feel that now the 2nd edd and my friends baby being born are out of the way (in the nicest possible way) i have some sort of closure to deal with now, and i can start trying to find me again.

i have said it before but i will say it again - you lot are lifesavers, without you i think i would have fallen over the edge of the cliff. i laugh and cry with each and every one of you, you are all amazing women, and i truly thank you from the bottom of my (broken) heart for being there and offering your support.

Neeko · 09/12/2009 20:46

Beautiful pics 4ever - with pics like those a part of your heart has to believe.

Blue Glad baby is moving in the right direction and congrats on the hats. I bought a baby record book on Sunday and have forced myself to write in it already. It's such a hard thing to do when you know you wont believe it til the baby's in your arms - and then you'd need to trust DH to buy the hats, God forbid!

Moon you sound a bit better so hopefully you have turned a corner. If not we'll be nagging persuading you to keep that new year's resolution.

MLS's DD is really poorly again. This disease seems really nasty

Thanks to Blue and 4ever for your support. I've had a huge sob to myself once DD was in bed which has helped. For the record though, an early home for DH just now is two mins before DD's bath time at 7pm. He's constantly shattered too, poor soul. I'm with Moon in looking forward to a shiny new year!

VJay · 10/12/2009 09:31

4ever lovely scan pictures, you can see so much, it's so exciting isn't it

blue what you said about the long journey to get where you are now is so true, I was exactly the same, I still think it now when I look at Ajay and realise how lucky I am. Not long now, I check everyday for news

neeko I do feel for you so much. In June my dh was put into a more stressful job at work and was told it was for 3 months up until Ajay was born....he's still there now and works so hard, long hours, doesn't switch off when he gets home, and is missing out on both ds's at the moment. He should be back to his old job in the new year and I can't wait

moon I do hope that you get some closure now and that will help you to move on, but if not you look into some councelling (sp?) it can't hurt can it

barbie hope you have a calmer day today

mm not long for you now either, hope you are ok

mls hope your dd is getting better the poor thing.

Big waves to everyone else, and yes, where are the Christmas smileys

mermaidspurse · 10/12/2009 10:32

mn hq is probably feeling like me bah humbug
my name is mermaid and i have not written any cards yet

neeko it is a horrible feeling when it all gets on top of you.
sod the housework and definately no ironing and thats an order.
No one in our house had clean knickers this morning

It is horrible when dhs work so hard mine is gone at 6.30 back at 6 and then out again till about 9 but then at least I can take ds up to see him after school which has always made such a difference.

barbie goodness you could at least have tried falling in the icecream counter
I think we need to rewrap you in cotton wall with some kirsty type ribbons Roll on maternity leave.

vjay have you got more exams coming up? Glad you are ok and enjoying your boys. Think we all need to really look forward to our men having some time off over christmas.

mls I am hoping you are both tucked up on the sofa with dvds and make dd better goodies. They are so little somehow when they are poorly, big kiss to her and hope you are also okc and not too knackered being florence nightingale.

monkey I thought you were meant to be resting? But if you are indeed rushing then I guess its a good sign that you are feeling better. Don't forget the water and lots of it

jools worst nightmare and in a room full of men, the things we go through. I reckon though that its a good sign of your body having a good clear out. Glad you feel great though and looking forward to showing this year the door.

blue have you started retidying the cupboards? Glad you are ok, sounds like you are getting close. Everytime I think of you going into labour I hear 'we built this city'

iggy hope that you are still feeling on top of the world. I know its still a weebling time though and sending you lots of thoughts.

I have just read the fat content of the red pepper houmous that I am currently eating my way through every 2 days 12.4g Have started putting tomato slices on top to try and balance things up!

Also been keepng an eye on the august anti natal thread, like checking on peoples symptoms and very supersticiously really happy that no one has pinched my edd yet nearly every date is taken except the 7th so I may if things go ok put myself in there next week.
dh is talking of me plurally(sp) so it is sinking in, bit bloody scared though. I have never seen a heartbeat on any of my mc 2 of then were scaned at 6 weeks and no beat so I am trying not to dwell. Tummy feels different though almost as though its tying itself in a knot. Not that dreaded pulsating low ache so we can but wobble from one day to the next.

moon I so hope that it does become a little easier for you now with the dates and births under the belt lovely lady.

mm come out come out wherever you are yes not long for you either.x

mermaidspurse · 10/12/2009 10:35

bother. forgot 4ever omg fingers and everything how clever are you!
Well actually i think you are clever for getting photos onto your profie let alone making that little soldier of a bean Its lovely to see.

littlebellsmum · 10/12/2009 10:43

4ever scan pictures are lovely - bubba's looking good

LovelyNeeko and Barbie Hope you are both having better days

MLS Hope DD is feeling better - horrible time to be ill, so much fun to have.

blue wow, 39 weeks - how good is that and not long now!!

Iggy great news - 7 weeks and growing!!

mermaid Good luck with the scan - hope you still feel rubbish!!

Hello to everyone else!!

I think that Cupcake might have her 16 week MW appt today? If so, hope it goes well.

I've got mine booked for next Friday at which point I will be 17 weeks..... And once, I'm happy there is a heart beat, I think we might get round to telling some people - all being well a little Christmas present for the dc's and grandparents!! Also, better tell work at some point - I am so lucky that I never show for ages.
However trousers getting tight and wardrobe getting limited!!

I'm probably not going to be around for a while - RL is claiming me back. I'll probaby lurk before Christmas and let you know how next Friday goes.

Good luck all - see you soon

littlebellsmum · 10/12/2009 10:45

Xpost mermaid - yes, I think my trousers are tight as I am eating all the pies and the houmous and anything that happens to be in the fridge!! I'm sure the tomatos help!!

mermaidspurse · 10/12/2009 11:40

lbm 17 weeks that snuck by. I am mrs tubby now and don't think I can be hiding it at 17 weeks! You have done mega well to hide it this long and will have everything crossed for next week. Just take it easy out there in rl thinking of you heaps.x

Neeko · 10/12/2009 12:39

Hi
Thanks for the support. So so lovely to have all of you who understand and can help to pick me up and dust me down. Had a real sobfest last night, but, as usual, it has helped me to get things more into perspective today.

Mermaid Had a toatl heartmelt moment at your DH referring to you in plural. Keep eating whatever you fancy. In 7-8 months you can start the life-long diet again. Plus what you are doing now is FAR more important than writing Christmas cards.

LBM You are the best secret keeper in the whole world. Enjoy being reclaimed by RL.

Vjay I love hearing you talk of your boys I hope your first Christmas as a family of four is a perfect one.

Cupcake Good luck for today. It's the best sound in the world and will have you grinning for days.

My bump hasn't been moving very much over the past couple of days.It is moving sometimes but only with prodding . Should I get it checked out or stop being paranoid?

4everhopeful · 10/12/2009 12:51

Hey lbm good luck with rl stuff! Exciting ur soon to tell people! Fingers crossed for ur apt tho sure all will be well! We are close, praying things remain ok, ill be 17wks on christmas day ...... Thanks for all ur comments on scan pics, like neeko says when i see them my heart aches to have complete faith & believe, but am so scared to dare to be complacent or cocksure in anyway so its still 1wk at a time, im already desperately in love with our little baby tho & spent about 40mins talking to him/her sayin just that, when dh went to work at 4.30am this morn! I also told baby all about u all & was then awake til 7am! ..... Got teary telling u that, as i did reading blue & moons posts of each spectrum of our journeys & how thankful we all are to each other & how uniquely special what we have is... I thought how poignant that blue only just brought the baby clothes, so touching, & that sums it up for me too really.... Mermaid we will get u thru this hon, iv been wanting to ask when ur danger zone is, we will be holding ur hand on mon, what time is it? I have real faith in cyclogest makin the difference for u hon... x ....Cupcake good luck with ur apt today, let us kno! .....Massive hug to Barbie & Neeko, also Vjay & your hardworking dhs.... Roll on christmas hols, for u too Jools lovely.... Oh & Iggy yes yes yes to lots of reassurance scans from the queen of them! ....Im still in bed posting on my pho (hence lack of sentences & sore thumbs!) My bf son is 6today so round there later, shes also one with new baby close to my edd, wierdly her dd is 15wk today & my preg is 15wk tomorrow, who'd of thought that when i sobbed at the news she was born Anyway before we go there my dddddh is getting one of my main pressies on his lunch, then doin the food shop after an 11hr day bless him, he is workin so so hard (plus still cookin dinner every night) & im countin down til next fri when he starts his hols! Im so very lucky to have him i love him to bits...

4everhopeful · 10/12/2009 13:09

Hey Neeko glad to hear u feelin a weeny bit better & dusted down, remember to take some gold stars & a pat on the back for what u HAVE achieved monneeko All the cards & pressies sorted, school nearly done, ur gorgeous girl, the list goes on.. If ur worrying about bubba maybe u could get checked out cos seeing bubs or hearing hb is sure to cheer u up for a long time as u just said! ....Also forgot to send get well wishes to mls poorly wee dd, & also forgot to add monkey to the list (oops) if someone can please do the honours? Right, gonna get ready to flit round a couple of shops for very last stocking fillers before picking dh up from sainsburys at 5pm! X

barbie1 · 10/12/2009 14:25

just quickly for neeko Dont worry about a non moving bump....some days i went without any movement, its only now at 30 weeks that im getting constant kicks and pokes...however if its still the same in 24 hours it wouldnt hurt to call the midwife?

iggypiggy · 10/12/2009 14:57

am having small panic today - no logical reason - just illogical ones....

I have been reading about miscarriages after having seen a heartbeat (why?!) and I have been feeling a bit better... so pissed off with self...

mermaidspurse · 10/12/2009 17:31

ig don't read those threads, don't, really don't read them. We have to try to stay hopeful and forward and positive.xxxxxx

bluesatinsash · 10/12/2009 21:05

Sneaky we post as should be in bed...

Iggy - listen to mermaid - stay away from mc threads, keep that positive head on..

mermaid - your DH deserves one of your gold stars for being so supportive and smashing . It will be standing room only for your scan next week as we all jostle to hold your hand xxx

neeko - remember I posted @ same gestation as you as I had no movement one Saturday all way round IKEA etc. and you suggested cold glass? Somedays they're just quieter which isn't good for our sanity! When's your next ante-natal clinic? If not soon I would phone day clinic as you should be able to pop in for quick doppler check.

4ever - 17 weeks on Christmas Day wowser [smile} but we will not be dropping our holding of hands any time soon OK?

LBM - you are queen of stealthpregnancy! enjoy RL but let us know how you get on tomorrow.

Moon - we'll all be there for you now and through out 2010 x

MLS - really hope your DD is on the mend soon, what a worry you must be having..

Cupcake are you OK? you've been quiet which isn't like you? Hope you're sharing and talking to your DH xx

Vjay - can so picture you staring at Ajay and just feeling so blessed and happy . Have you got him a wee 'my first xmas' top?

Correction from my post of last night - head is at brim of pelvis not cervix . Got my obstetric terminology all mixed up

night all xx

Morning lovelies

mermaid I am waiting for my exam results at the mo, they should be with me anyday now. I also signed up for my next course the other day, 'graphs networks and designs' , it's a third year course, but I'm only doing half the amount of study this time, I think I have enough going on at the mo

blue Ajay has got some little Christmas babygros, they are sooooo cute

Right does anyone want my doppler, I was going to ebay it, but I think I would rather donate it to Emmys, so first come first served and all that

barbie1 · 11/12/2009 08:38

Morning vjay

Im sat in shorts and t shirt putting up the christmas tree....its feels so weird!

Thats lovely that you are donating the doppler, prehapes it will become a emmsy hareloom

I saw the cutest xmas babygro's in mother care earlier, you have to post us some pics!

4ever was meant to say earlier that your scan pics are lovely, very clear too.....

Hi everyone else, i have to get back to helping dh.....will be back soon x

VJay · 11/12/2009 08:58

Hiya barbie I bet it does feel weird putting up a Christmas tree in the heat, but make the most of it, it's f f f f freezing up here in the Highlands today
I will post some more pics soon x

Sabs1981 · 11/12/2009 09:56

Hello ladies, hope everyone is well.

A very quick post from me. I really hope that if hoping is lurking she wont mind, but rather than keep it for ourselves, I really wanted to share it. When hoping sent me that knitted hat that you guys have seen Saara wear in the photo, she also sent another hat (green and cream) with matching mittens. But as Saara was such a big baby at birth, the hat unfortunately doesnt fit her head. So rather than have it just sitting there in the drawer, I wondered if anyone else would like it instead.

I really hope that if hoping is lurking, she's OK with me passing it on to someone else on here.

blue and mm hope you're taking good care of yourselves, not long to go, so excited for you guys!

neeko hope you've felt some movement by now. Otherwise I would echo what blue said and pop over to a clinic for a check

lbm good luck for the scan today

4ever AMAZING scan pics

Kisses to my cyber nephews. Sorry for lack of personal posts

I've had a busy week with Saara, and DH and I have been down with a cold. I had Saara wieghed on Monday and she was 11 pounds, 11 ounces.

Hope everyone has a good weekend. Anyone else having an x-factor party this weekend?

mermaidspurse · 11/12/2009 10:21

x- factor ? what is this strange thing?

had to come home from dhs work as the smells of cars and associated stuff chiefly bacon sarnies and gearbox oil made me we need a sick face mnhq.

so came home and home smells make metoo

ugggghhhhh

vjay I am sure one of the larger pants than me would love your doppler and I will fight over it with iggy in a few more months. what with the graphs? I am imressed and fingers crossed for your exam results.

sabs hope you are feeling better there are some nasty colds doing the rounds but it will all help to build up saaras immune system, big kiss to that big girlx.

barbie glad you are getting all christmassy, hope you are feeling ok and not rushing around too much.

4ever morning nearly 15weeker amazing!

cupcake how did the mw appointment go or am I confused.

neeko so glad you are feeling a wee bit better sometimes you just gotta howl!

its friday and I have a scan in 3 sleeps time and that is very scary.

Sabs1981 · 11/12/2009 10:26

mermaid I'll start holding your hand from now if you like

I was a very strange one in this pregnancy, as I loved the smell of cars, air fresheners, even bathroom cleaning sprays but the fact that some smells are getting to you already is a good sign....
