mls lovely to have you back, i've missed you. my heart aches for your sad post, but you seem quite grounded about it all. come n take a seat with us small/commando panters in mermaids greenhouse and have a glass or 5 while we keep check on the medium/big panters.

btw it DOES look like a chick! and vjay you are right, we will ALWAYS have something to say on ANY matter on MN!

curly nice to see you too - please do not worry about me, you have plenty enough worries of your own without mine. and for your benefit i'm on cd 23, and not hopeful as i have my backache starting which comes before af... feeling very fed up and teary at the moment, have been a nightmare at work this week and have had to apologise to some colleagues for my behaviour where did the old me go

the office talk is still babies, 2 v heavily pg girls, and one lady back from maternity leave after having a year off. and they all sit near me so can't get away from the chit chat

on a course tomorrow so the change of scenery and learning something new will do me good.

to everyone, sorry for not posting to you all xx

cupcakefairy · 04/11/2009 20:54

Haha I thought it was a chick too! And then a jammy dodger..That's hilarious

Neeko I'm def sharing that chicken suit with 4ever a little longer..paranoid ecause my scan was before 12 weeks that things could still go wrong. But definitely getting stretching twinges in my tummy which makes me smile Just went through my AN notes carefully and found the part where it says titch is 44.8mm long (they didn't tell us at scan) dh said 'really? wow!' and went to get the pic again to look at

Gosh Curly how horrible for you puking blood do not feel guilty for being miserable you have every right too..you've flipping suffered enough! Your girl will be so worth it though

Aww 4ever bless you worrying more but nasty colds make you feel rotten all over, I'm sure 4everfighterbean is snuggled up safe

Jools-resident brave lady..I'm thinking of you loads during this hard week dates-wise too... really hope you're ok x

cupcakefairy · 04/11/2009 20:56

x-post moon- HIIII! lovely to see you. Hope the course is a nice breath of fresh air tomorrow...and the old you IS still in there somewhere

Also forgot to sy I invited a girl from my AN thread here...she'sdecided to terminate after being told baby had an abnormality that would be terminal before birth, and she's getting married next week her name's vivcliquot...hope she does come over.

bluesatinsash · 04/11/2009 21:16

oh cupcake - your poor fellow ante-nataler. Hope she finds her way over . LOL at looking like a jammy dodger - it so does! I imagine they will be used lots on the AIBU threads . glad you got through your EDD on Monday, deep breath and onwards and upwards (clutchng your scan photo .

MLS!!!!! So lovely to hear from you and what a moving honest form your boots post. Your consultant sounds ace and your determination an insipration. We are all here rooting for you and BTW you take far too many holidays - Italy - ... I've been stalking your on FB and didn't want to email again as felt you needed some space but have been thinking about you lots x Let the 2ww commence!

Curly - you poor thing with the 5 months on and still being sick. I know how debilitating it is and I only had it until 17 weeks. I threw up blood with DS and GP said it was just my oesophegous getting all scratched and sore. Are there no anti-nausea meds they can give you like MM? Big hug x

4ever - understand totally why your wobbling again. The reassuring scan is now two days ago, another few days til your next one - I was exactly the same, thinking of reasons why it would go wrong BUT it won't! Keep under that cotton wool and Monday will be here before you know it.

Jools will be thinkinga bout you and hoping you and your DP have a fab time in Cornwall and a lovely b'day on Monday. Big hand hold for 11th too, really hope seeing it disappear it gives you some closure x

barbie - fab news on getting pram for 300 - kerching! Sorry you're feeling homesick. I love my winters cold and frosty too but as Vjay says cherish this one with your DH, spoil yourselves as next Christmas it will be ALL about your lo .

Moon - pg women in the office - grrr. Hope your course gives you some light relief and remember AF pains and pg pains are nei on identical so fingers crossed...

I'm working extra day tomorrow to tie things up, haven't worked two days in a row since May 2006 but only two days to go and I can ceremonally burn my well past their sell by date work pg trousers - heel click . Boss took me out for lunch today and gave me Willow Tree 'prayer' statue and lovely card, she's the best!

Night all x

OP posts:
cupcakefairy · 04/11/2009 21:20

Aww blue that's lovely! I've got the 'prayer' statue too it's gorgeous

Lol, just realised that is actually called biscuit...maybe it is meant to be a jammy dodger

MummyLovesSadie · 04/11/2009 22:04

Thanks for all your positive messages.

Blue I vanished from fb at the same time as I vanished from mn. I've yet to return to fb as it's a horrible scary place, made to make women longing for a baby feel ten times worse about their inability to have one. I'd be completely unhinged by now if I'd stuck around there! Not long for you & you'll be sat with your feet up reading trashy mags - I hope you get a chance with that lovely ds of yours!

Message to Vivcliquot please come on over when you are ready. You won't meet a lovelier bunch of girls.

Moon booooo for an office full of pregnant people & pregnancy talk. You just don't need all that crap thrust right in your face every day. Hope your course is more interesting than any I've ever been on where I've been sat there all morning yawning & wondering what's going to be in the free sandwiches!

Vjay thanks to you I now have a craving for Jammie Dodgers!

littlebellsmum · 04/11/2009 22:42

oh bugger - just typed a really long message and lost it!!!!

MLS - you're back! Lovely to see you - I agree btw, crap happens to good people all the time and even more unfairly good things happen to crap people too,
But your back and on the case again - it will happen! BTW, how did DH take being told that he was wrong?

Jools have a great weekend and birthday - hopefully the great wine and food will dull the memories somewhat.
And for the two of you, prepare for constantly being reminded how old you are when you are pregnant. All I got from the MW today was , well you are 40..., well at your age... I had to tell her to stop eventually, it's only been 2 weeks and I'm still getting used to it!

Thanks for all your lovely messages yesterday - today ended pretty well - the mw thinks that I am 11 + 1, making me past last times mc and I even took my head out of the sand long enough to have a quick scoot at my an notes! Iggy - theres loads of room for two in the sand and its lovely and warm here ( as I'm sure Barbie can confirm, living where she does!)

Blue - two days only - go girl!!

4ever - you're called weeble for a reason aren't you! Wobbles are normal and if I believed I was pregnant, I'm sure I'd be wobbling too.

poor curly - I've luckily never been sick but friends of mine have suffered like you. Buckets of sympathy!

I'm really missing the point of - why on earth would you waste your time posting on something you had no views on!!

barbie1 · 05/11/2009 03:49

i thought red nose day was coming up!

Nice to see a busier, chatty thread. No time to post cos i gotta get my backside to work....ill be back laters xxx

mermaidspurse · 05/11/2009 07:57

rushes in helloooooooo, its cold too much work in the cold, awful cold - infact my nose looks like that biscuit.

ps the biscuit is I think a homage to Gordon Brown who would not share with mnetters what his fav biscuit was when he came on mn the other week. He wanted to answer questions on working tax credit and armageddon and not bourbons

mls there is a load of vodka with your name on it just to the right of the biscuit tin, help yourself, well done and big gold star your way.

jools please bring some nice weather here.x

4ever honey and lemon drinks and if you feel worried nip down to the scanning dept, we need o keep that stress at a simmer point and no higher oh and some balsam tissues are in the greenhouse too.

barbie I salute your bugaloo bargain, well done girl - re the weather doesn't that just go to show how the grass is always greener?

blue 2 days wehey I am so pleased for you allxx

opps got to get going xx

iggypiggy · 05/11/2009 10:10

mls really good to see you back

barbie & 4ever don't apologise - I am oversenstive

jools is your birthday on Monday? Not sure if I remembered right... anyway hope you have a happy day.

moon the old you will come back - I only just feel the old me is coming back x

mermaid how are you getting on? Still downing vodka in the greenhouse?

curly blood in sick sounds terrible - hope you feel better soon.

lbm I definitely need to join you in the sand..

waves to neeko blue vjay cupcake and everyone else.

Am still pretty ok. Not looking forward to next week, but not too sad either. Not sure if i mentioned that AF is due on my due date - cycles cyles...

MummyLovesSadie · 05/11/2009 13:46

Hello Iggy how are you doing? I think the run-ups to edd's are always worse than the actual day. I was desperate to be pregnant before my edd but as it turned out I was told that my 3rd baby had died the day before. Am I allowed to ask what cd you are on? Cupcake is right about bfp's coming in batches - perhaps it'll be our turn next?

iggypiggy · 05/11/2009 14:24

MLS - I don't actually know exactly what CD I am on... but somewhere around 24 or 25? Have been trying to ignore - don't want pressure this month - have given up actively ttc until the new year tho

MummyLovesSadie · 05/11/2009 14:55

Well if you have given up for this month & are not going to properly ttc you know what that means!

We have said to dh's nephew that we will go to Disneyland with him & his daughter next July so I hope that means that I will fall pregnant & will be due in July - isn't that how these things usually work??!

mermaidspurse · 05/11/2009 17:19

iggy lovely lady I think you are aout right cos I had to look where i was today cos of my accup. and I am day23 - not that we give a damn of course ha!
mls yep sods law at work fingers crossed.
4ever hope you are okish and your cold is not too bad.
Hope everyones evening goes with a bang pop and a sparkle

iggypiggy · 05/11/2009 19:39

ah yes we all on same day well there you go

cupcakefairy · 05/11/2009 20:56

Ahhhh mermaid you are so clever, the thing makes much more sense now. I saw the thing about Gordon Brown on Have I Got News For You..hilarious that he couldn't decide his favourite biscuit. Plonker.

Yes MLS sod's law definitely applies to you now I agreed to a girls' retreat weekend in May and am now due 3 days after it..still really want to go though

iggy evil AF has such rubbish timing. Hope she doesn't arrive on due date that would be pants

Dh is calling for dinner, but I'll be back!

Joolsiam · 05/11/2009 20:56

Just popping in for a quick helllooooo

Sorry to post and run, but I'm mad busy - have been doing more training at work, getting in late after parking on the M25 for hours and hours - grr and my internet connection only seems to want to stay up for 3 mins at a time !

Barbie - how sweet of you

Thankyou to everyone for your birthday wishes. Yes, Bday is Monday. We are off to Steinland in the morning, back Monday evening

Special hello to all the small panters. I think our cycles must have synchronised, as I reckon I'm on CD24 today too !! No chance for me this month though and, like Iggy, I'm forgetting about it for the rest of the year.

Delighted to see you back with us MLS

See you next week x x

cupcakefairy · 05/11/2009 21:59

I'm back
Hi jools have a lush holiday, you deserve it and happy birthday!

LBM glad the appointment went well and you raised head above sand long enough for it boo to mw going on about your age but well done for telling her to shut it!

Blue yippee to work finishing..hope you got through the 2 days in a row fine.. you're on the home straight now

4ever you ok? Hope you're not wobbling quietly somewhere.

Well I guess I didn't have all that much more to say so think I will go watch Flight of the Conchords now

Massive hugs to all x

MummyLovesSadie · 05/11/2009 22:13

Yay Jools happy birthday for Monday! Welcome to the 40+ ttc club! Seriously, don't stress about being 40 years young, I have heard lately so many stories about women having healthy babies who are far far older than us.

Cupcake every time I read one of your posts I have a welsh accent in my head, especially when you use words like lush!

Neeko where are you? Are you ok?

MrsKate · 06/11/2009 09:49

hi i love the new home !!!

mls we have all missed you loads big big hugs

i hope everyone is ok ive gotta catch up xxx

Neeko · 06/11/2009 09:53

Hi
Just quickly popping my head in to reassure MLS that I'm ok. Work and home life a bit manic, but I'm allowing myself to lurk and normal posting service will resume over the weekend - which is more than can be said for Royal Mail!!!

cupcakefairy · 06/11/2009 10:33

Haha MLS that's really funny, I don't actually have a Welsh accent at all...infact I always get called posh but having lived here more than 6 years I have definitely picked up 'love' 'lush' and a whole host of other Welshisms!

Good news from me this morning is that dh got the job he interviewed for yesterday clever boy he is. It's in his office just a different department. He's not thrilled by the job but at least it's security & he can carry on looking if he wants (and I can stop worrying how we will feed and clothe the baby!!)
Today is his last day in current job so pretty ace timing

VJay · 06/11/2009 11:23

Oh well done mrcupcake that is good news

Just had my shopping delivered now I have to go back out to tesco cos I forgot a load of stuff and I'm having a fireowrk party tomorrow for us and the neighbours, so need the stuff now, gggrrrrr.

Hope eveyone is ok, think I'll have a before I go out, see we can use the jammy dodger like that too I suppose

hopingalways · 06/11/2009 12:57

takes deep breath

I thought it was only fair to let you all know that I'm not going to come back.

DH and I have decided to stop trying. I just can't cope with life in the baby limbo any more. I feel like the most horrendous failure to be doing this after only a year of ttcing and 3 mcs, but I just can't do it any more.

I'm wishing you all the best of luck in life and little ones. You have been very kind and very supportive through one of the worst periods of my life.

waves goodbye

VJay · 06/11/2009 13:39

I'm so sorry hoping. You and dh have made such a brave and hard decision and I wish you both lots luck and happiness for the future. Don't hesitate to come back if ever you feel the need to, if just for a chat.
Take care xxxxx
