oh MLS - your poor DD. Least it will be out the way for Christmas!

Just a quickie from me as I'm knackered and have playgroup comittee tonight (I'm so Vicar of Dibley sometimes ). Was also on playgroup duty this morning which exhausted me (being enthusastic for 2 hours in front of 24 3-year olds really takes it out of you!)

Loved LA last night , 'God Only Know's was one of my wedding songs and I always well up when it comes on and everyone's hugging at the airport.

4ever - 14 weeks tomorrow lady!!!! Hand will be held on Monday and for every week you need us

Iggy - glad your sickness is back

Mermaid - glad you're knackered

Neeko - LOL at your Tena liners - ai its all sex, drugs and rock and roll

Vjay - enjoy your weekend 'home'. I'll try not to pop at the weekend but had a practice run earier when I 'delivered' a very tricky poo and had to use my breathing techniques . My constipation is something else just now!

Lovely to hear from you monkey - enjoy your champagne

barbie - only 11 weeks - WOW! and . So glad you're finishing up soon as you need to rest missy!

Love to everyone else, off downstairs to make dinner x

Just racing in to say hello and offer hands / toes and anything else ppl would like to hang on to for support

I'm off to Berlin tomorrow afternoon for a long girlie weekend perusing the Christmas markets and drinking copious amounts of mulled wine

Will probably lurk from time to time on my phone, but posting is difficult, so rest assured I'm thinking of you all

I get back Monday afternoon, unpack and repack to go to Gloucester on Tuesday morning for 3 days teaching - tis all go here and I have NO idea when I'm going to start finish my Christmas shopping

MummyLovesSadie · 03/12/2009 19:05

Blue rotfl at you delivering your tricky poo!

My dd has hand, foot & mouth.

Off to do loads of googling now of said virus.

cupcakefairy · 03/12/2009 19:41

Aww MLS how nasty hope she's ok poor little mite.

joolsthejetsetter have a lush weekend!

4ever yes you say it every week, but every week IS a milestone and we all know it

iggy and mermaid yay for symptoms galore

monkey that's hilarious about the edible glitter! Sparkly poo!

blue love that image of you as Vicar of Dibley next you'll have to start scoffing lots of Terry's chocolate orange. (I love Dawn French.)

Glad you all enjoyed LA last night...we loved it too and has def made me feel Christmassy. Welled up at lovely Liam Neeson though as he has since been widowed in RL poor man.

Right, gotta dash...home group tonight. Hugs and kisses to all! xxx

BlueMoon1981 · 03/12/2009 20:29

just checking up on you all

my 2nd edd is on saturday, so feeling very crap this week. the last pg lady at work went on maternity leave today, big speech from her boss, and there was me sitting there (2 desks away from her) biting my lip and suddenly not being able to see and not daring to blink. tried to brave my demons by buying her some baby stuff on the weekend for her, which she was hugely appreciative of as she is one of the few who knows about my mc's. i walked out to the car with her when she left and we had a hug and a cry together. thing don't get any easier do they....

sorry for me post, had to write it down.

MummyLovesSadie · 03/12/2009 21:18

Oh Moon so to hear about your edd on Sat. This 9 months have gone so quickly, I clearly remember your bfp followed by your last mc like it was just a few weeks ago. Hopefully when both of your edd's are gone the pressure to be pregnant by a certain date will lessen too.

CurlyBigPants · 03/12/2009 23:18

moon I'm so sad too for you EDDs are so hard to get through, and the build up to them is so hard, particularly when you are not pregnant. How lovely you are to buy baby stuff for your workmate even with everything you are going through. You are so strong even if you don't know it, and it will hopefully get easier after Saturday. I have a really funny feeling that it will happen for you soon and that we are going to have more bfps by xmas. I'll make sure I lurk on my phone on sat in case you need to talk. In the meantime have a massive hug and be very very good to yourself this weekend xxxx

Lots of love also to mls and everyone else

cupcakefairy · 04/12/2009 09:43

Moon I'm so sorry too. That is lovely that you could have a hug and cry with your colleague though- am glad she hasn't been the insensitive pregnant type. Well done for getting through that, honestly.
Am hoping and praying the magic 'past the EDD' babydust that worked on 4ever and iggy will for you too.

Working on my assessment today but will be lurking if anyone wants a chat

Joolsiam · 04/12/2009 10:02

Will be thinking of you Moon - and well done for braving baby things

Well, DP and I managed to resume relations last night for the first time in around 3 months, so things are looking up Too late for this month, but promising ...

I like the concept of post EDD baby dust - my final EDD comes up this month - not sure exactly what day it is and don't want to look it up, but am pretty sure it is the same as Scorpio Maybe that means a January BFP for me

Right, must focus - gotta pack and get the car in for its MOT / Service / CAM belt change aka money pit.

iggypiggy · 04/12/2009 10:16

moon that is so nice that you were able to buy her some baby stuff.. to my shame I still haven't sent a card or present to my friend who got pregnant on the first try on honeymoon and was due a week before me

mermaidspurse · 04/12/2009 12:48

moon such a big shiny star for you today. It is such a good sign to be able to buy baby stuff for someone and give hugs and shed tears. It is the hardest thing to do. I will think of you and your dh tomorrow.xx

jools It could be worse you could have a broken cam belt or a head gasket
Your planned weekend sounds absolutely what the dr ordered. And a big round of applause for dp too

cupcake hope that assignment gets done and have a good weekend.

mls ouch at your poor dd, I hope it isn't too uncomfortable and she gets better soon.

So I am going to the drs this afternoon and will flutter my eyelashes for some of this cyclogest stuff, very relieved to read that your dr prescribed it 4ever thank you for that.

iggy the point is we will know how glam our toes are girl! Usually I get rushed in wearing 2 odd socks and hairy legs which would rival that rugby player in the bed. So I am going for the femme fatale look this time

so this is a week to all pat ourselves on the back.
small panters and commandos - for bravery in general, coming back to threads hooray cos we missed you - facing sad anniverasries and for having a lot of fun - thats especially for jools the pre christmas party girl

medium I am not sure if I am one? am I? that is quite exciting... for still being brave even when scared and wobbly.

large panters - for being large - wow ladies we are impressed and for being extra brave in massaging pereniums (scuse spelling) ha I can just imagine barbies face
oh yes and for having tricky toilet procedures, thats for you blue

saggy pants - for sticking around and still being here we love you all loads but especially love our little cyber nephews and neices.

barbie1 · 04/12/2009 13:04

Rushing in quickly, just back from the dubai rugby 7's...left an already pissed dh there while i waddled back to get ready for a hen night....

mermaid you would love some of the rugby players that i have been ogling looking at today, yummy..tight shorts and nice bums

Back to rugby tomorrow as saturday is the big party day, although not as much fun when you cant drink i must say!

moon well done brave lady, im sure that you are now nearly past your edd you will be the next for a bfp...fingers crossed for you.

Pereniums and tricky poo's

mermaidspurse · 04/12/2009 13:30

barbie I think a lot of the time your body makes sure it is clear both ends when you go into labour. I was copiously sick and had to have a No.2 before everything happend.
Sounds like you hahve a good weeknd planned too, hope the aches and pains are better.

4everhopeful · 04/12/2009 14:25

Im gonna post properly later but wanna send moon a big hug for bein so brave, will post more to u later.... Also wanna elaborate on cyclogest for mermaid before u go docs (& to monkey) as mls said it does thicken the womb & make a good bed, but fundamental role of progestorone is essential in the development & maintenence of ur fetus in pregnancy, its one of the main hormones that makes it all happen.. Now standard to be given for recurrent mc even when no cause found.. I had it back in jan, & mls has had it too, its no cure all guarantee, but as my cons said we dont kno why those didnt work out so its not to be discounted.. Iv been on it since wk 5 & will keep takin til wk 18. As far as im concerned anything & everything that might help eh girls! Right exchanging white coat back to dressing gown.. Back later x x x x x

mermaidspurse · 04/12/2009 14:35

4ever fab thank you flutter eyelashes and bash over head with yellow post it note

4everhopeful · 04/12/2009 14:50

Oh & although will post later massive thanks for acknowledgement of my 14week today status! Am i wrong not to be singin & dancin down the street still? Thing is im far from it & wobblier than ever, a right anxious scaredy cat, gonna be a long wait til mon, poor dh keeps tryin to reassure me... I cant do logic at the moment tho...

cupcakefairy · 04/12/2009 15:08

Argh barbie the whole pooing in labour thing terrifies me too! But yes, my Mum said the same as mermaid, that every time (and she did it 4 times!) she was sick & had to empty the bowels beforehand Anyway she said if it happens most women don't notice and the midwives subtly sweep it away!! (She used to be a nurse and attended a few births) Sounds awful though.

Enjoy the hen party barbie

Waves to mermaid has your golfer got back to you yet??

Hi 4ever14weeks I'm in my slobbing about clothes too and very comfy! Just managed to submit my assignment so I may go watch an episode of Sex & the City now!

monkeybumsmum · 04/12/2009 15:13

Just a quick hello from me as trying to get house ready for visitors...

Just wanted to say mermaid you are just so lovely It pours out of every post you make - am sending you a big hug for being such a love x

MLS How is dd today? Hope she's okay... Have been thinking about what your consultant said, and it now seems to be my new mantra 'I'm not obsessed I just know what I want' Makes me feel lots better, thanks x

Barbie Have you checked whether you're given an enema when you go into hospital to deliver? Over here it's par for the course, and although I was dreading it when I went in with ds it was fine and means you don't have to worry about pooing!
Also yum yum yum re rugby players, they sound like they'd brighten up your day

4ever Well done on 14 weeks today - it wonderful to have come this far, may the good news continue! Thanks for the info re Cyclogest too, I think if we ever get to that stage I'll insist and not leave till I have some!

Moon Will be thinking of you tomorrow... I think you're amazing for having got the lady at work a present. You sound a very strong and selfless lady, it must've taken a lot to do that for her. Your post made me want to cry, you're just so brave x

Jools Hope you're having a fabby weekend Enjoy the gluhwein!

Blue for your poo! It's all good practice hey...

Iggy I feel exactly the same re pg friends, it's so difficult to know what to do, other than follow instinct and stick our heads in the sand...

Really must go, got people arriving in a few hours and the house looks like a pigsty! Big hello to everyone else

Have a nice weekend all x

mermaidspurse · 04/12/2009 16:14

sorry 4ever congratulations and tribulations for getting to 14 weeks
Can you let me know what dosage of cyclogest. The dr is in uncharted waters books, google, yes google ladies and said he was happt to prescribe it as I knew it wasn't a magic cure but can I ask my lovely friends what dosages they were given!! classic. The emmsys hotline.

So mls and 4ever what were you prescribed? my phone has lost its signal again. bloody orange and granite

bluesatinsash · 04/12/2009 16:27

Moon - big hug for tomorrow and well done for keeping it together in front of colleague. Sounds like she appreciated how hard it was for you and that in itself is something...

Mermaid like your combination of flutterin eyelashes whilst bashing over head . Practice your steely eyed look too

4ever lovely I meant to txt you earlier but had mad day as agreed to go to work (WTF?!) this morning then straight to my official leaving lunch... Just wanted to acknowledge your 14-week status . I know you're still sh*tting yourself and the pre-scan anxiety is creeping up again but 14 weeks is a fantastic stage to be at. Look how far you've come already from that first tentative scan at 6 weeks... Big hugs and hand holds for Monday. Had a at you swapping your white lab coat for your dressing gown! DH is buying me a new DG for xmas as I've worn this one straight out .

MLS - Hand, foot and mouth swept our playgroup last year, your poor DD. What's the treatment?

Barbie - you make me laugh! I don't poo in front of DH either. We definately operate a closed door policy . Just keep him up away from the business end during birth and you'll be fine even if you do sh*t the bed .

Monkey - have fun with your visitors

Jools enjoy Berlin and so lovely to read you and DP have resumed relations

Cupcake - might watch S&tC film tonight as DH is at a poker night.

Have a good weekend everyone! x

bluesatinsash · 04/12/2009 16:31

mermaid - tell me this was your GP and not the consultant gynaecologist asking you to ask your friends re: dosage .

Classic indeed.

4everhopeful · 04/12/2009 16:40

Just tx u hon, but its 200mg twice a day! Yay for ur doc! Hmm unchartered waters im in them now!

mermaidspurse · 04/12/2009 16:57

ha its all very cutting edge at our drs
thank you 4ever for that lovely, I left a message with the gatekeeper receptionist he said that he would sort it out.
It just goes to show the good side of recurrent mc is that I am armed with all this knowledge to deftly bat over the desk. Although I do have to stop myself from saying things like 4ever said or when Cupcake went... etc etc.

monkey have a lovely weekend, i think i need some visitors to get a tidy house too.

blue what film?

4everhopeful · 04/12/2009 17:05
