cupcakefairy · 02/12/2009 16:11

That is what iplayer is for Vjay! so funny how all the dhs want to watch it too though!

Yes 4ever the twinges are definitely normal! Mine feels like my whole torso is stretching out and is quite uncomfortable at night along with trapped wind lovely!

mermaid YES to being militant! I love it.. it's definitely the way to go and you deserve 5 star treatment lady! (And yes to rugby players in bed haha!) Do you want to update the list or is that for another day? (Looking at '1-2 weeks pregnant' is probably enough of a step for oday??)

barbie1 · 02/12/2009 16:47

Yesterday i just couldnt get on line, soooo busy and had a few emotional moments and just felt generally rough.

Came in from work this afternoon and dh has convinced me to pull a sicky tomorrow so ill do a full post then.

Im lurking tonight but cant sit still long enough to post due to the baby being in a tranverse position and my ribs being in agony....but......

I had to congratulate mermaid and say a big welcome back to monkey!

bluesatinsash · 02/12/2009 19:19

That's a LOT of smileys barbie -

We're just bathing DS so we can get downstairs to watch LA. Candles are lit, my 1349 pillows are arranged on the couch, we're all set .

mermaid I saw DS's heartbeat at 5+3 (after early bleeding scare, somethings never change eh?) with internal scan - just a teeny tiny flicker at the top of a black circle but there all the same.. We'll all be hand holding and taking turns to watch over you from now until 14th xx

to everyone else x

MLS and Sabs - my dd is 6 and ds is 4 and every night before I go to bed, I check on them and check they are still breathing. If I don't - I have to get up and check. DH thinks I'm mental!

jools great to hear you sounding better - I know taking tablets is a big step but I also know that they can be a great help

Sorry can't stay - still smiling for mermaid. Even told DH about you yesterday which is quite something as he thought I had lost my mn addiction some months ago!

Need to start my christmas baking today - Cheese straws tonight and mince pies on Friday!

Got a bit of a crafty weekend planned with the kids - told my ds that we would have a crafty day on Saturday and he corrected me - No mummy, a christmas crafty day!!

Christmas has arrived in the littlebells house - on Dec 1st along with the advent calenders. out come the christmas books, videos , colouring stuff jigsaws. In fact everything but the decorations!!

Love to everyone - hope the cake worked well neeko

cupcakefairy · 02/12/2009 20:07

dh is not back from the chippy yet...hmph.

Awww LBM that sounds so lovely, proper family christmassy type stuff hope you have loads of fun this weekend. We'll be making Christmas cards too

Hi barbie, enjoy the well-earned day off tomorrow!

Neeko · 02/12/2009 20:20

Quick post before I join the Love Actually party.

My name is Neeko and I too am a child-breathing-checker!

LBM Christmas books, CDs and DVDs out here too but I want to join in with you on Saturday! The cake is slightly sunken in the middle but i'll disguise it with my spiky icing.

Mermaid and iggy please share a hand to hold for scan day as I gave the other one to 4ever weeks ago and she still needs it!!!

Barbie I really think that the baby lying tranverse is affecting your judgement as there's plenty of time for another BFP before Christmas and then the race will be on for the fist BFP of 2010. Christmas is a time of hope after all, so let's not take it from the small/non panters, eh? Hope you feel better tomorrow.

Right, logging off for my 1st viewing of Love actually. It'd better be worth it as the silly woman at the checkout forgot to deactivate the tag and the security guard in Tesco had to rake through my bags which contained my Tena lady pantliners - nice!

monkeybumsmum · 02/12/2009 20:21

Evening! Just a quickie from me as must get kitchen tidied then get to bed...

Mermaid You do sound calm, and that's great you've got a scan sorted - will you be able to have regular ones like 4ever's had?

4ever I'm glad I'm back too Thank you for telling me about Mollie, that's great news!! Will you say Congrats from me if you're in touch with her, or if you're lurking Buddha - well done!

Hi Curly Am loving the idea of your waddly dance How are you doing? re edible glitter, fab stuff! Did you know it's not digestible? Comes out the other end... It certainly makes going to the loo more interesting

Hello to moon, cupcake and iggy it's lovely to meet you all! Iggy sorry to hear you're feeling so sick, but it's a really good sign! Are you managing to keep it under control?

MLS Hi there So sorry to read about the rough time you've been having. Life is very tough sometimes I so hope that things start looking up for you, but in the meantime I would love to join you on the small panters bench (athough mine aren't that small I hasten to add ) I hope we're not there for too long... I am still in Belgium, am here for good I think. Have you ever been? It's not as boring as it's made out to be, honest! (And there's lots of yummy chocolate to be had ) Oh my goodness re Roxy on Enders! What happened? Is the dad Denise's ex? Haven't watched it in a few weeks, but love it!

Neeko How did your Chrimbo cake go? What recipe did you use? It's lovely getting ready for Christmas isn't it - I was inspired to start listening to my collection of Christmassy songs yesterday in an attempt to accept that it is actually December already - keep getting a shock when I look outside and there are no leaves on the trees!

Jools Hello Sorry to hear you've been feeling low too, but glad you seem to be feeling a bit better. You are very wise to have gone and got help, I just hope things continue to improve for you.

Blue My ds does exactly the same! You end up balancing your head on the corner of the mattress... Not the best nights sleep! Are you getting pressies on the internet? At least if you don't manage to get them all in time you've got a very good excuse!

Barbie Hello again So thrilled for you that all is going well! How are you feeling? I hope you're not working too hard... Enjoy your day off tomorrow won't you

LBM You sound like you've got a lovely weekend planned... Are you doing things like making gift tags with the kids? Am thinking of doing it with ds, but not sure whether the tags would escape past the mountain of glue he's bound to put on!

I hope I've mentioned everyone, and if not then hello to you too! I think you might all be watching LA right now, so hope you're enjoying it - I might have to catch up and watch it tomorrow as you've reminded me what a fab film it is!

Night all x

Sabs1981 · 02/12/2009 20:57

just a quick one from me to say i hope you're all enjoying LA night

Also to mls no-one contacted me about the kits so I still have them if you're interested...

MummyLovesSadie · 02/12/2009 21:21

Ahhh need some Christmas dvd's for dd to watch as I haven't got any & am feeling left out now. Will be playing Christmas cd's tomorrow & will try to dig out 'That's Not My Santa' from deep within dd's book collection! She tried to make a Christmas tree decoration at the Mother & Toddler group today but kept removing the 'stylish' glued on pasta pieces so I surreptitiously left it behind!

Monkey no I've never been to Belgium but it's funny you mention that it's not as boring as people say because the couple of people I know who have been have said 'It's ok but very boring'! I think I gave you the wrong info on 'Enders, oops! It's actually Ronnie who is pregnant & yes Owen is the Dad. The only problem is that he is currently wrapped up in an old carpet, decaying in the soil under the tree planted in memory of Trina & yes, Lucas did him in!

Neeko pmsl so much at your Tena Lady story I think you'd better pass them over here!

Hope you are all enjoying Love Actually. I'm really going to wrap some prezzies now.

monkeybumsmum · 02/12/2009 21:25

Owen's dead? OMG! I thought you meant Ronnie anyway Will have to start watching it as am sure the Christmas day storyline will start brewing and I wouldn't want to miss out!

MummyLovesSadie · 02/12/2009 21:36

Sabs just sent you an email.

Monkey yes Lucas strangled him with his wedding bow-tie in Phil's motor on the morning of his wedding day - class!

4everhopeful · 02/12/2009 22:12

Ah just drying my eyes! what a lovely film, got very emotional & hormonal at the end! Brill! Big waves to everyone, will catch up properly 2moro, im gonna snuggle up to dh now & try & sleep thru the night! X x x x x

barbie1 · 03/12/2009 10:08

I'm considering myself well and truly told off by neeko Sorry small panters...didnt mean to piss you all off thinking you might need to wait until march for the next bfp...prove me wrong and get one sooner!!!!
mysticbarbie was mearly thinking out loud and believed that this thread is so lucky that we are bound to have another bfp in march!

I hope you all enjoyed love actually, dh tried to download it last night for me as our original copy is still in storage in newcastle however all the download sites have been shut down so im going to have to go any buy a copy to watch it again.....

Last night i felt really guilty about calling in sick so decided against it, however i had a rubbish night sleep and woke with a headache and backache so i really do have an excuse not to go today, instead i took the dog for a walk and promptly feel asleep when i can back. The midwife tells me that between 28 and 32 weeks the baby has a huge growth spurt which can upset the hormone balance again so its normal to feel crap at this stage....

im glad monkey is back

mermaid how are you doing today? even dh was smiling when i told him about you, he even said is that the cornish one who gave her things away a few weeks ago i guess i talk about you all too much!

mls i feel left out with all the christmas talk too we are going to go and buy a huge inflatable snowman for the garden this afternoon, and will put the tree up next week, still not the same though....

iggy loving the fact you are feeling sick glad you took your head out of the sand to post...

blue yeah for making it to december! Its the month both you and mm will get too meet your precious lo..11 more weeks for me, how can my tummy possible stretch any more

Im really struggling to get comfortable so im going to leave it here for now, sorry to those i have missed..you are not forgotten i promise you!

Ill be back soon xxx

mermaidspurse · 03/12/2009 12:34

Hi barbie thank you for all those grins glad you took the day off, remember guilt is man made and nothing to do with us women!
Hope your aches ease.

I feel sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo tired and sooooooooooooooooooo dizzy and lots of pains shoting around. So I am clinging to them as symptoms. and mushrooms I just have to keep eating mushrooms.

4ever hope you are ok today another week nearly crossed off. Is it a scan day for you on Monday? Hope you have nicely painted toes now too. Thanks for the info on cyclogest. Mt golfer hasn't called back so I will have to go to the gps tomorrow and see if I can sort something out.

I have to go and find the sofa for a bit.x

4everhopeful · 03/12/2009 12:52

barbie1 · 03/12/2009 14:38

4ever im 29 weeks today!!!!

monkeybumsmum · 03/12/2009 15:08

Oooh Bruges is lovely 4ever You're bound to be nervous for Monday, but everything's been okay so far which is really good. I think I'd be just the same as you if we ever get that far again... I think we spend so long thinking it'll never happen that it's almost impossible to believe when it does.
Can I ask what cyclogest is?

Barbie 29 weeks That's amazing!

Mermaid hope you're having a cozy snooze and enjoying the rest x

Had a bit of a melt down last night after dh accused me of becoming obsessed I did point out that it's been 22 months now since we started trying for number 2, and how can I not be thinking about it all the time? Didn't really help... Bless him though, he was sad that he'd upset me so we're going to open some champagne tonight to toast the life we do have, and I'm going to try to chill out a bit. Difficult though...

Hope the weather in the UK is better than it is here, blurgh...

VJay · 03/12/2009 15:46

Afternoon all, did we all enjoy Love Actually, well those that watched it anyway. Think I'll get another viewing in cos DH still wants to watch it

Right I won't be back on til Monday as we are away back home to deliver presents and see the vicar about Ajays christening. Blue don't pop til I get back .

Have fab weekends everyone

iggypiggy · 03/12/2009 15:54

hello lovelies - am feeling better today - am hoping is just cos symptoms kind of come and go... but guess can only wait...

mermaidmushroomfreak that sounds a good sign! I will do my toenails before scan on monday - although am wondering how they will see them?!

neeko I am grabbing your fourth finger and little finger - mermaid can have the rest

monkey I think MLS's doctor said something good to her DH about obsessing? Something like 'your wife isn't obsessed she just knows what she wants' - is that right mls? Sorry if not!

4ever that scan sounds like big milestone - they all are really aren't they? Are you having weekly scans all the way through?

barbie sorry you uncomfortable - hope gets better soon.

iggypiggy · 03/12/2009 16:21

panic over - think am gonna be sick

MummyLovesSadie · 03/12/2009 16:27

Hi all, just a quickie from me as dd is ill, covered with a spotty rash & I'm taking her to the docs later. I have a feeling it might be chickenpox.

Iggy yes well remembered about what my consultant said. Monkey my dh said to him that he thought I was obsessed as he sees me temping every day (little does he know about the obsessive cm checking, use of pre-seed, drinking of grapefruit juice & studying every minute detail of my charts !) but the consultant said "No your wife is not obsessed she just knows what she wants"! Cyclogest are progesterone pessaries, they help you not to bleed as they thicken the lining of the womb. I was taking them when I had mc number 3. I didn't bleed until about a week after coming off them (I came off them as I'd had a scan which confirmed the baby had died at 5 weeks)

Will try & post more later.
