4everhopeful · 01/12/2009 22:45

Good stuff mls! Had to forsake im a celeb for footy but caught the eviction! Im also ignorin my pile of pressies to wrap! Oh & yep quite a bump but never really lost it from oth pregs, put on a stone & a half since so not sure how much is valid baby bump! .....Neeko baking xmas cakes at 10pm?! good god woman ur nesting is in overdrive!

4everhopeful · 01/12/2009 22:56

Night night mls i did last post about 10.15 & my silly phone took 30mins to load it time to sleep too methinks im turnin into an insomniac & woke from 3 to 7am last 2 nights, not good!

MummyLovesSadie · 01/12/2009 23:01

Yeah that will go on for the next 6 months & then after that you'll be woken 3 times a night by a hungry baby wanting a feed!

4everhopeful · 02/12/2009 06:13

I went to sleep after 11pm & woke up again at 2.30am on the dot, now third night in a row Dh went to work at 4.30am & cant believe still awake! Been googling & apparently insomnia a common 2nd trimester symptom.. Anyone else had it? Also debating if can feel baby flutters or if wind?! Could be both but more googling does show can be common as this is 5th preg!? All this interpersed with grins for mermaid still! Right am gonna call dh, charge phone & switch on gmtv in hope of gettin another 4 or more hours of sleep! Sigh! Thank god not working as would have to get up now!

MummyLovesSadie · 02/12/2009 07:52

4ever you know this is all natures way of giving your body practice for what is to come. My dd decided to wake up at half past midnight, had an absolute FIT when I tried to get her back to sleep in her own cot, ended up in our bed, dh stormed into the spare room after two hours of her messing about & finally an hour later (after I'd burst into tears ) she went back to sleep at half past bloody three! Then at half past six dh came back in to get ready for work - welcome to the world of parenting !

(Despite all of that I wouldn't change her for the world!)

iggypiggy · 02/12/2009 09:20

O.M.G

I can't believe I disappear for a few days and come back to this news from mermaid

I am so so so happy for you!!!

Please do join me here in the sand - it's really quite nice...

Sorry all, first day back in office after various things, so got lots to do - will catch up properly later - just had to respond to mermaid and her news!

No news from me - muchly feeling sick - but obviously quite happy about that...

4everhopeful · 02/12/2009 10:40

Oh mls im soooo tired! I got back for a bit, ill embrace the sleeplessness of new parenthood if i have a gorgeous baby in front of me to make it all worthwhile! Bless ur dd, hopefully u can get a snooze in if she has a nap! ....Iggy how long til ur scan? ........Mermaid im still grinning, albeit slightly delirilously!

cupcakefairy · 02/12/2009 11:03

Morning lovelies..it's Love Actually day 4ever that is so cute of your dh! Glad you found a copy! Mine is quite excited about watching it tonight, haha! Dunno if we'll be able to pull off simultaneous watching so just watch it anytime! We'll prob watch it about 8ish.
My tummy is definitely starting to pop out now too and I am sleeping in fits and starts cos of tummy pains so I'm sure it's all normal

MLS I'm a Celeb made me cry loads last night with the letters from their families! always gets me!

Hi iggy nice to see you popping head out of sand for a few mins

Neeko impressed at your domestic goddess-ness... I've never made a Christmas cake either. I remember Nigella making a sickly chocolatey one on her show last year with edible glitter on top

4everhopeful · 02/12/2009 11:45

Hey cupcake sweetie.. Really lookin forward to LA with u blue & vjay tonight plus anyone else! Was reassured to hear ur havin tummy twinges & pain too cos have lots of rumbly gurgling stretchy feelings too, mainly at night, tryin not to be worried by it did wonder if im feelin movement tho!?

Joolsiam · 02/12/2009 11:58

4Ever - next time you're awake in the middle of the night, pop on here One of the side effects of my tablets is insomnia - not the tossing and turning kind, but the wide awake, gotta get out of bed and do something kind - so I was surfing on my ipod last night at 3am !

Ironically, that kind of insomnia is usually for me the first indication of pregnancy. Other side effects are mild nausea and headaches - the irony is not lost on me !! Feeling so much better already - like a curtain has been lifted on the world and I can start seeing and feeling clearly again.

Mermaid - I hope me talking about my symptoms at least showed you that things can go beyond normal sadness and grief and there are times when you have to seek help because you are ill, ie something can be done to help us feel better. If I do conceive in the near future, I won't come off the tablets - they are considered safe in first few weeks and I'm hoping they would help greatly with early pg anxiety

Have you taken your head out of the sand long enough to phone that golfer yet ?

and yes, I am still smiling for you

mermaidspurse · 02/12/2009 12:22

jools I have just upended my filing cabinet to find all my golfing stuff. My dates are all a bit distressingly simular to last year but are bang on the dates for my ds too so it must be the time of year for mermaid to get jiggy I had an open invitiation to epu so wonder how long such an invite lasts for... so I am just waiitng for the NHS to finish having lunch.
went for my massage this morning and of course she couldn't do it doh! I couldn't actually say the pregnant word she had to guess!

I am so very glad that you feel the curtain has begun to lift for you and the side effects are not to grim. I have thispicture of you standing on a phone surfing now.

morningafternoon 4ever I like the sound of a snood, very cosy. I have some twinges (here we go) but know that is normal but every tiny thing... need I go on.
Wow at you and cupake tinking you have flutterings, lovely to hear.

mls small children are a little like a tardis in parents beds they suddenly become the size of a rugby player on steroids and hog the entire bed

umm oh and light headed as well, I think that is normal isn't it?

mermaidspurse · 02/12/2009 12:24

mmmmm rugby players in beds it must be my hormones

Neeko · 02/12/2009 12:59

So happy to hear of tummy rumblings and stretchy feelings, not to mention rugby players for Mermaid 4ever and Cupcake Jools lovely to hear you sounding so positive. So glad the tablets are working quickly.

MLSthesnoozyone Hope you're not too tired. At least you've already ovulted this month so don't technically need DH in bed!

Will be back later xx

mermaidspurse · 02/12/2009 13:49

I just moved into the 21C and am now looking at a clearblue display which says in black and white pregnant 1-2 weeks. So that is sinking in abit now. Tis very clever how they do that.

bluesatinsash · 02/12/2009 13:51

mermaidpostjiggy Had to smile at the NHS being at lunch as one entity - its so true - down tools and they're off! Hope you get a schedule drawn up by the end of today or at least your first appointment. Still madly for you.

4eversnoodlikenickershaw - to you feeling flutterings but hope the insomnia doesn't hit you every night although as MLS says its good practice! DS was in with me two nights ago @ 2am as DH took up residence in his bed and they do expand once they're in - its bizarre . DS was sleeping across the bed and I had a wafer thin strip to accomodate me and bump! MLS - great to hear you're feeling like your old mischievious self . My initial burst of organisation has waned now. Bag is packed but loads of pressies still to buy and wrap - hurrumph. I'm thinking of sod's lawing this baby out by writing Xmas cards this weekend with our three names hoping they will be out of date!

Love Actually girls - we'll be putting it on @ 8pm too. 4ever might get DH to give me deluxe foot massage . What colour you getting your toes painted? I got my first xmas card today too!

Jools - really pleased the tablets have helped lift your sad veil and are safe to take during pg. Have you and your DP talked things through again now your head is clearer and he is calmer after his epil episode?

NeekomoveoverDelia - did you watch Delia's xmas last night? She used pre-pepared icing for her Xmas cake . It all looked delicious and you could practically smell the booze coming through the tv

Met my actual consutlant (as opposed to the scanning guru one I've been seeing) this morning who was delightful. She is letting me go to 41 weeks and is very positive about me having a VBAC . Really going to try and get baby out before xmas so lots of bracing walks and scrubbing of floors pour moi!

Better go, car is going into garage this afternoon. Catch you later laydeeez x

mermaidspurse · 02/12/2009 14:31

Iggy that is only 5 more sleeps and i am with you on the swinging of extremes. You have done really well combating your fear lovely which is a really good sign that all is well with your bean.x

Just managed to book scan for the 14th Dec using my open invite, a couple of jokes and a promise not to tell anyone the name of the person making the appointment did the trick. Left a message with the golfers answering machine I sure hope he gets wet on the pitch or whatever golfing speak is. Field? no green thats it.

blue I am laying bets that you will just finish sealing the last christmas card and it will be all systems go

ha! Nick Kershaw of course snood king classic.

7 weeks ig thats gone fast for us. 4ever has my mobile or I can send it through to Gracie.

I think I will be about 5w +3 but that should be ok for a internal? shouldn't it? not the heart probably but I am sailing in there regardless and they can tut all they like. I have been all full of apologies and I am in the way and a hassle previously but I am going in a bit militant,a bit edgey a bit deal with this now attitude. So I had better do my toe nails, you too iggy we have to look good girl

4ever thanks for passing that on from annie who I hope hasn't stopped grinning with that lovely bundle

no stay in bed its raining cold and will soon be dark, you are probably in the best place.x
