Wednesday - new passenger! Welcome latestincarnation! I'm afraid myself and liaghen are poas addicts so we're not the best ppl to tell you not to test! Hopefully there will be a sensible type along to talk you out of it soon

Thanks for the welcome WWSW

givecarrotsachance · 14/10/2009 14:54

Hi latest

Just popped in myself to say "hi". Have been BESHing lately but am still on this bus.

Still counting as Cycle 1 as still no AF since mirena removal. Thought I spotted some signs of CF yesterday but then it went away. Was going to have a go at it last night but just couldn't do it - wasn't in the mood and refused to go down the route (yet at least) of doing it without the fun, just for TTC, especially as signs were really not strong.

Hope everyone is well, big congrats MrsR and hope you are feeling well.

Carrots xxx

latestincarnation · 14/10/2009 15:10

Hi carrots! I'm a firm believer of hormones making you horny when you are ovulating, so maybe tonight's more hopeful?!!

liahgen · 14/10/2009 16:42

Evening everyone

at wwsw..yes I am indeed a POAS addict, I confess.

Welcome to the newbies.

Glad you had a good time at weekend wwsw

Am very glad to hear about the morning swimmers as dh was too pissed really tired after the wedding we went to on Saturday, so didn't manage it Sat night, but had morning sex on Sunday so here's hoping then.

Anyone seen newmember recently, she's normally couple days ahead of me, and I am now counting down. 9 days to testing

I will not test early--

I will not test early--

I will not test early--

Have I managed to convince anyone yet?

liahgen · 14/10/2009 16:43

bugger that didn't work did it?

WickedWitchSouthWest · 14/10/2009 17:24

nearly worked We all knew what you were thinking anyway so technically a test might work in 5 days time?

Funny enough my dh was also too tired on Sunday night after the wedding. Why is it man + wedding = drunken idiot?

Loujalou · 14/10/2009 17:37

Did one of those digi OPKs on Monday and got a smiley face so jumped had sex with hubby in the middle of power cut and also last night. But I don't think I have had any EWCM. Usually get it day after positive test. Not sure if that means anything. Or my head has been so achy I have missed it.

Might also dtd tonight as hubby is away tomorrow night just to be sure. We have already had sex 3 times this month - I think my hubby thinks his luck is in. Tried to follow the Deanne's plan but not quite to letter as hubby is away tomorrow and first bit was a bit shaky.

How are the rest of you doing? Anyone been POAS with positive or negative results? Ha ha men and alcohol and weddings not a good combo. I faked sleep when hubby came back to the room after his friend's wedding was easier that way

liahgen · 14/10/2009 17:43

lalalalala wwsw I can't hear you.....

5 days you say?

however you must be nearer than me.

lou I find with the digi's, and with my ov pains and temp, (well last month anyway) by the time I get a smiley face it's almost all over.

I have used nothing this month, and we've only had sex 4 times around the right time so not particularly hopeful to be honest. Surpisingly, I'm fairly chilled about it too. (thank god for that I hear collectively)

Someone has given me some advice re getting better quality eggs, soy Anyone have any experience?

WIll post a link.

Loujalou · 14/10/2009 17:46

WWSW just read the link and it was really useful got DH on the multi vitamins already but there will be no more hot baths for him cold showers is the way forwards.

Welcome newbies. Glad to hear Kaylo that you are okay. We were all worried for a minute.

bluesnowfalcon · 14/10/2009 18:21

Sorry all but can you remove me from the bus as I was luckier than I thought and got a BFP today. Hope all on here are lucky soon

WickedWitchSouthWest · 14/10/2009 18:24

lia not a chance! due to my irritatingly long cycle, I've got AGES Will be really interested in the link if you can find it!

lou I used a pack of FR opk's this month and found it pretty spot on with coinciding with ewcm. I have enough for next month too..obviously don't want to be using them! I'm hoping we've done enough: started the shagathon on Friday, so Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon, Tue and will make dh have sex tonight. It's that point of the month where I do actually have to work pretty hard to make him find me desireable

WickedWitchSouthWest · 14/10/2009 18:26

desirable...obviously

WickedWitchSouthWest · 14/10/2009 18:28

oh congratulations bluesnow!!! fantastic news

Marking my place for later

Loujalou · 14/10/2009 18:39

lia I was impressed I have done it 4 times and going to try one more! Thought that was a good effort and now not so sure.

UmBongo · 14/10/2009 19:15

YoooHooo - It's MEEE. Didn't think I would have to join you, but I have just had a 37 day cycle, usually reliable 30-31 days. Is there wine and cake on this bus? [goes to snuggle down in the cushions at the back]

UmBongo · 14/10/2009 19:18

ttc #2, cycle 17, ucl 31 day 1

liahgen · 14/10/2009 19:23

falcon congratulations, well done you, (oh and dp/h too)

May we all follow you soon.

bongo there's freshly made chocolate brownies, especially for the cd ones and 2's, (chocolate zone )

crack open the wine, i'll have a small red please,

wwsw I don't bother with desirable at that stage, just tell hm it's important so put the porno on and get on with it. good luck, could be the money shot as they say.

WickedWitchSouthWest · 14/10/2009 19:29

haha! money shot! excellent. Unfortunately for me dh is a bit of a porn prude so it's all down to me and my efforts at seduction without putting the pressur eon him that tonight's the night tis a tricky business.

hi bongo sorry you've had to join us...enjoy the chocolate though. I have some brie in the fridge and sorely tempted to have a little treat (well, there's no wine in the house and even if I have caught this month there will be no implantation till next week so it's ok )

wwsw I am confused. You are dc19, and only just on your shagathon fertile period, yet I am cd15 and all done and dusted.

this is the message I got from the lady about the soy

the soy i used was from boots its ina box with seperate calcuim tablets ,but each capsule contains 100mg of soy isoflavrons
here is a link to them.
here
because the soy is capsule form they are better absorbed.
this is the link to soy info

and here

i got my bfp the first month trying soy after ttc for a year.
i took on days 3-7 200mg (2 capsules at night for 5 days for a stronger ovulation and a better egg.

WickedWitchSouthWest · 14/10/2009 20:26

lia I have a long old cycle...I normally ov cd16, and that's when I got the positive opk this month so my cycle could even go to 33 days this month! I generally do have 14 days from ov to bleed. According to dr amy I could actually be fertile until tomorrow!

Soy looks interesting...going to read the articles now, thank you!

WickedWitchSouthWest · 14/10/2009 20:33

oo well that's very interesting. Are you going to try it again? I'd be really tempted to give it a go next cycle..also will be interesting to see if it will help depending on my blood results (appt is Monday).

liahgen · 14/10/2009 20:56

yes if not lucky this month I will try it cos age is running after creeping up on me so willing to give anything a go. Especially as I can't have my tests till next cycle now cos day 19 is on a bloody Sunday.

I'll be bloody rattling soon. As we all will.
