TTC - Try to conceive (ie first or second baby)

UCL - Usual cycle length (length between periods)

CD - Cycle day (what you're on today)

Well it looks like I might still be in with a chance for the June bus, but my instinct tell me I left if too late so will stick around and keep you company.

Feel pretty rubbish today as CD1, but I'm on holiday next month, right when OVing, so fingers crossed.

I went onto the pill injection after dd2 and came off it in July and have been trying TTC#3. I was warned by my GP when i went on the injection that it can take upto a year to concieve after coming off it!
I also havnt had a period since i started on the injection and they havnt come back since i came off it so have no idea what day of my cycle im on.

I was really hoping that it would happen quickly again like it did with my other dd's and eventhough the GP warned me this could happen i still cant help feeling dissapointed!!

Is it possible to concieve when your periods havnt returned, im guessing its not but would like advice from someone???

Ameliamummy quite a few people on here have mentioned that they found it much harder to conceive third time round . And to reply to you question I think that yes it is possible to conceive when you periods haven't returned. That is what happened with my best friend with her DS. She stopped taking the pill and waited and waited. Came to see me and complained about her period not having returned for about 2/3 months. Then she started complaining about other things which can be pregancy symptoms so I suggested she test as I was convinced she was pregnant....and she was

needahand- does anyone have any wisdom as to why number 3 is so bloomin hard to conceive ?! I had noticed that pattern amongst my friends as well !

thanks needahand thats reassuring to know, i think because it was so easy with my 2 girls i sort of took it for granted and assumed it would be the same this time around maybe i should just relax and stop worrying about it and let nature do its job.......

Hi midnightgarden I have no idea, but that's an absolute age...saying that a friend of mine has never used contraception with her husband (15 years!!) and she is now 12 weeks pg so it can happen! Mind you I'm off to moan at the gp tmrw morning and I'm only on cycle 7! Not sure what I want her to do apart from listen to me moan/rant...
