that price is 25K over what we are paying because we are in this phase (site 38) so they are cheaper, yeah.
a beam vacuum system is one that is built into the walls of the house and there are just little outlets (size of a single socket) in the walls in the rooms. All you have is a tube handle thingy that you carry to the rooms, plug in and hey presto, it sucks!

Hulababy · 10/06/2005 14:53

That sounds a fab idea. Not seen one in a house before (have one in my hairdressers). I want one now!!!!

angedemarche · 10/06/2005 14:58

i think they are popular in NI (maybe we are too lazy to carry a hoover around!)

I've just had a good look at your town house, it's so big and spacious. I love townhouses and we actually put offers in for 3 (the only other houses we went for) all older about 1900-1920, but the people in them just mucked us around.
I will keep my fingers crossed for you
XxX

spacecadet · 10/06/2005 15:00

angedemarche-sorry! opk'sare ovulation predictor kits.

Ive never heard of a beam vaccum system, what a great idea

charleepeters · 10/06/2005 19:28

Hulababy · 10/06/2005 19:30

Best getting chatting quick charleepeters - it's for a good cause after all ;)

munz · 10/06/2005 20:41

CP - y r u not talking you ur DP?

we're after a run down barn when we eventually get our own place to convert, DH has this thing about new buildings thou so we want to have an old building with old but new decor etc inside. we see a programme with a couple who'd bought a water works (disused obviously) they made it look really good, that's the sort of thing we want to do - gotta save a load up first thou!

charleepeters · 10/06/2005 20:43

we had an argument about money its sorted now we have kissed and made up shall we say

hope everyones ok

hugs to all xxx

OP posts:
Hulababy · 10/06/2005 20:43

I saw that programme too munz - was fab when finished wasn't it? Not sure I could cope with the upheaval of doing it all ourselves though, but love the end results. Keep saving

munz · 10/06/2005 20:46

round one to CP then! lol.

DH liked the mini in the front room idea - not sure i'd go for that but I love the out come. not too bothered about the building site for a house thing - when I was small our house was always like a building site it was never finished properly cos my dad's a carpenter/builder he seems to think they don't finish their own houses off? (weird man! )

can't wait for DH to come home tomorrow morning and feeling a bit ahem, more favourable towards him! as long as he's awake still! (and it's not sore) - TMI!!!

Hulababy · 10/06/2005 20:47

Good on you charleepeters

LOL munz! Hope he is feeling bright and breezy for you!

munz · 10/06/2005 20:49

think I might well send him a text telling him to get some pro plus and red bull! lol. althou 7am with cold hands on a saturday - hmmmm actually doesn't sound so good put like that!

ooh do u watch extream make overs on sky? (i'm in love with that programme at the minute they have excellent designs on it)

sparkly · 10/06/2005 21:09

Hi everyone - not been around for a few days as have been so busy at work. Very glad it's the weekend!

Hula, sorry to hear about your buyer. Don't know how people can behave like that. I would be really angry. But, your house looks fab!! Fingers crossed you get a buyer soon. I didn't realise you were so close - we're in Leeds and notice you're in Sheffield.

I'm CD13 or 14 today but it doesn't matter as DP has had to go visit his Nan down south this weekend so no BD for us so probably missing our opp this month. Can't be helped. I'm having a girly night out tomorrow night which ought to be great fun. DD is with her dad this weekend so I have the house to myself which is odd!

Hope everyone has a good weekend and good luck to anyone testing x

Hulababy · 10/06/2005 21:11

Not realised either Sparkly - have you never been to any of the local(ish) meets?

Hulababy · 10/06/2005 21:13

LOL @ text munz!

CD14 here. Yet again had some lower tummy cramps in past couple of days and had what seemed like EWCM...but too early to match with my past experience of temping. Hmm...might have to get thermometer out for next month and see what that says.

sparkly · 10/06/2005 21:14

No, can't say that I even recall there being any locally ... but perhaps not looking in the right place!

Hulababy · 10/06/2005 21:15

We had a big Christmas party near Leeds last year. Also in summer we often have some meets with children - places like Yorkshire Sculpture Park and Cannon Hall farm. Currently planning one for this summer, probably at Cannon Hall farm - on the meet up threads.

Frizbe · 10/06/2005 21:56

Hi all, glad you all seem ok today

Hila, that's good news re your agent, and great re the rent possibilities, like the choice of house as well, didn't realise Sheff was so expensive! Really hope you enjoy your hols as well!

Sparkley your not too far from me either, we're in Ripley, Derbyshire, but ss is from Leeds, so we're up and down the M1 all the time!

Anged, nice house too, like the vacume thingy, why don't all of our houses have those?

Munz, I saw that programme too, I'd love for us to buy somewhere old and do it up, dh is slowly coming round to the idea we were going to move next year, but he's just put me off another year (again!) but rightly so as we need to expand our businesses again 1st! (especially as we're trying for another beanie!)

Harizeb are you next up for testing?

CP, did I read your not speaking to dh? argh!

Ponka · 10/06/2005 21:58

Hello Everyone.
Can I join you?

I'm Ponka
28
DS 1 year
DH 35
About CD10, I think.

Today is my first day of TTC!

I came off the pill about 2 months ago and waited a bit to get it out of my system and we've decided today's the day to go for it! I'm hoping for a Baby reaaaallly soon. DH says he wants it to take a while cos he likes this part!

Lets just say we've had a very nice evening .

charleepeters · 10/06/2005 22:00

Welcome Ponka feel free to join us i hope your stay with us is not to long!

Frizbe - were all good now, we made up

OP posts:
Hulababy · 10/06/2005 22:01

Thanks Frizbe; and yes, particualrly towards south Sheffield it has gotten quite expensive now. That is a very reasonable prize for the location TBH.

Welcome to the TTc thread Ponka; hope your stay here is short

Hulababy · 10/06/2005 22:02

Whole update on the house here BTW, so not clogging up this thread.

Ponka · 10/06/2005 22:04

Ooooh. I'm quite near, too then.

I'm in Nottingham.

Hulababy · 10/06/2005 22:04

Maybe we need to sort out a TTC meet; idea was mooted once before.

Hulababy · 10/06/2005 22:05

Ponka - there is a Nottingham meet on the 11th August - at the castle.
