aaliyahsmum · 23/06/2005 21:52

ok here are some questions
*if i got af monday what day of cycle do i call today?
*when i do temp do i do it as soon as i wake up every day

romilly · 23/06/2005 22:43

aali'smum - if you got AF on monday today you will be CD4 - always count first day of AF as cycle day 1. (see, its not rocket science, LOL ) and yes, temps should be taken at the same time every morning before you even get out of bed. so keep thermometer by your bedside and alarm clock set! plus pen to write down temp. although most thermometers have a memory on them now so you can recheck if you go back to sleep.

hope that helps.

nemo - thanks hon! how are you getting on in this heat?

LOL @ me, i am like buses too, dont get on here hardly at all for days and then post like a demon in one day. i think its the 2ww that does it

Cadmum · 24/06/2005 03:19

romilly: I had nearly forgotted about about UK busses! ISWYM now...

Have you ever heard of anyone who does not get a rise in temperature following peak day? I honestly don't think that I have one chart that suggests even a hint of a rise in temperature until days before af and then a sharp drop the day before af arrives... (Bear in mind that I have been pg 6 times in the last 8 1/2 years so I must have been ovulating some of the time.)

Why oh why do we torture ourselves like this?

I AM going to buy OPKs next cycle if I haven't caught this time. I no longer have money woes to add to my excuse list so I will be off to the shops on Day One should af decide to grace me with her presence again. I will officially join the POAT club.

Frizbe! How did I miss your news?!?! Congratulations and please have a happy, healthy 8 months followed by a lovely wee baby.

Wendy: My smile is hurting my face thinking about your success. Yeah! The same rules apply to your pregnancy as Frizbe's. Please continue to stay in touch.

Missing DQ, Nemo, Bonkerz...

Worrying about hereshoping...

Thinking about you all!

milosmum · 24/06/2005 10:58

Im Back!!!!! had a marvalous holiday - the weather was gorgeous!

hope i havent missed any BFP- if i have congrates!

too much to catch up on.....

HandbagAddiction · 24/06/2005 12:32

Just about to siappear on holiday so I'll make this brief. Af still hasn't really arrived despite threatening to with odd bits of spotting so I'm getting a bit concerned that something odd is going on. Went to the doctors this morning and he was brilliant. Took my concerns about irregular cycles very seriously and has suggested that I have some blood test done - to include thyroid stuff, hormone checks and general stuff - such as anaemia where I have a history. Has also suggested that I have an 'internal exam' on my return from holiday too.

So still having bad cramps, feeling a bit woozy sometimes but by BFN yesterday confirmed that I'm not pregant!! Day 29 and counting!! Glad that I'm doing something proactive though to ensure that there are no problems.

So....hope everyone else is OK. Off to finish the packing now...and I'll catch up with everyone and any BFP's when I get back!!

munz · 24/06/2005 12:34

YAY!!! MM is back, are u starting to TTC again?

my temps are v high again (36.9) not sure what that's all about, r they ment to stay high?

dramaqueen72 · 24/06/2005 13:12

oh cadmum! long time no see..iyswim!
hope youre well and there is no need to buy those opks! I really miss our little group, obviously i'm delighted to be pg, but there is no support network like we had 'back in the ol' days'!
I worry about hereshoping too, unless shes changed her name? i cant cat her, she has 'no cat' feature on. I do hope shes okay. missing bella too, hoping the stork is putting her on his list SOON.
Rom -still lurking by now and then checking in on you.

romilly · 24/06/2005 15:02

hmmm, cadmum - not sure about your temps. maybe its just simply because you always have disrupted sleep (didnt you mention that once) i find that any disruption is sleep wreaks havoc with my temps. as does a few glasses of vino.
anyhow glad you will be joining us on the POAS reports. this thread doesnt seem quite so obsessed on that front, BELLA! we need you back!! LOL.

milosmum - welcome back to the madness, glad your holiday was great.

handbag - bon voyage! and happy holidays!

wendy and frizbe - our preggie girls, have a chilled weekend!

dramaqueen - its such a shame we couldnt all end up on the same thread, but its always lovely to have you drop by. i feel like you and george and nemo are our lucky mascots! i do sneak a peek at how you all are on the due thread, but dont like to butt in!

munz - high temps are good, healthy and normal in the luteal phase so dont worry hon. i've had 36.9 occasionally.

romilly · 24/06/2005 15:04

handbag - meant to say sorry about BFN honey

also wendy - another question for you - how many dpo did the hospital ask you to test on?

Cadmum · 24/06/2005 15:11

Oh George! In my haste to get to bed last night I forgot to mention you. I am sorry. I miss you too but I am delighted that you are on the ante-natal scene... IYKWIM

Cadmum · 24/06/2005 15:33

Romilly: It is true that my sleep is still quite broken (DS2 has sleep apnea) so that is likely to blame. When are you planning on testing?

Handbag: Have a lovely vacation. Sounds like your doctor was very helpful and will be dedicated to helping you get to the source of your troubles. Let's hope it clears the way for a BFP.

Welcome back Milosmum. Glad you had a lovely time.

Nice to hear from you DQ. I wish that is was possible to cat herehoping but I suppose that if she does not want to chat with anyone then that needs to be respected. Judging from her last post, she was convinced that she was about to miscarry again. I sure hope that she was mistaken but my heart goes out to her whatever the situation. She was a great source of support for me and I wish that I had been online when she needed support.

teuch · 24/06/2005 15:39

hi, just wanted to drop in to say good luck to all those testing soon.

Hope to see some familiar 'faces' - and some new ones - over on the antenatal threads soon!

wendy11 · 24/06/2005 18:48

Rom - I had egg collection on the Thursday and embryo transfer on the Sunday. We were advised to test 2 weeks from embryo transfer which would have been 16 dpo if I take the Thursday as ov day or 14 days from transfer. Hope that makes sense.

Milsomum - Hope your holiday as left your rested and refreshed and raring to go.

Cadmum - It really is good to see you back with us. I have missed your chat. I see we almost have you converted to POAT although obviously I hope you don't need to

milosmum · 24/06/2005 18:52

hi munz- yes im back in the game! but not temping just yet going to w8 for af to arrive then start.- i take it you have started....good luck honey.

Wll feeling so positive after my hols and just looking at it as a new chapter now...

really hope you are all doing well...

wendy11 · 24/06/2005 18:53

Sorry hit post before I had finished

Has anyone anything nice planned for the weekend?

It was DH's birthday on Wednesday although we did not do anything apecial - actually feel a bit guilty about that as all he got was a card and a box of choccies although with Dh's sweet tooth I don't think he minded too much. May go out somewhere tomorrow night for a nice meal to make it up to him.

It is really silly but I am afraid of eating anything that will make me sick or catching any colds or bugs. We have waited so long for this pg that I am terrified of doing anything to harm it. I know that I cannot live like a hermit for the next 8 months and that I will just have to give myself a kick up the rear and get on with it. Should'nt really be moaning!!

Enjoy your weekend everyone and I will catch up with you all over the next couple of days

Debbsy · 24/06/2005 20:31

hi all just nipping in to say hi and hope eveyones well so so busy will catch up soon love to you all xx

angedemarche · 25/06/2005 00:25

Anyone there?
Head is in a bit of a turn. Got a BFP!

Cadmum · 25/06/2005 02:52

ang! Congratulations!!!
I am here...Do i count?

Cadmum · 25/06/2005 02:53

OOPS! Hours after the fact. Sorry about that. I am used to being 7 hours behind so I thought that your post was more recent... (Blonde moment, much?!?!)

Cadmum · 25/06/2005 02:55

Goodmorning all.

Thank you for the welcome back Wendy and NEVER think that any of your worries are to trivial to share with us. We are here to listen/read. We want to share everything as much as we can via MN.

munz · 25/06/2005 09:58

to echo cadmum wend - we fully understand your worried, it's only natural, just try to rest and take things easy, if you're not comfortable eating or doing something for the minute then don't. hopefully the scan will go well then the 12 week one and you can relax a bit more. we're here thou to listen and if it's important to you then it isn't trivial.

MM - well we've not been really getting on so we've only BD 3 times all month and that's only because dr who was on two nights running for the finale and I have a thing for CE otherwise DH wouldn't have got any! lol. the first one was rather uncomfortable so I was reluctant to do it all again but well when CE's about i'm like a mad woman!

AM - OMG WOW!!! Big congrats to you hon, give us all the details then how long he u been TTC? any signs?

anyhow i'm off to crawl back into bed I think (or actually take the Dog to the vet's to get him stabbed (booster jab time) then crawl back into bed! heavy night of drinking with a friend in town! lol.

angedemarche · 25/06/2005 10:52

have to say that my first post on this thread was the 8th June turns out it waws probably 8th/9th that I conceived... weird. Didn't think for one second that it would happen so quickly. For our first baby it took almost 2 years. My head is totally in a turn!
I was going out with the girls on Saturday night and did a test before I left, I didn't feel pregnant but I just didnt want to be drinking just incase. It was negative. then last night we were just about to open some wine, I was talking about a pair of white cropped trousers I bought yesterday and was complaining that I wouldn't be able to wear them next week because of my period, and thats when I realised I was 1 or 2 days late. Did the test and +ve! really don't know what to think! XxX

romilly · 25/06/2005 12:20

angedemarche - congratulations on the BFP !!!! i seem to remember saying hope it happens quickly for you - and someone else said hope your stay is a short one, well it seems like it will be! well done! masses of stickydust to you and a happy next 8 months

wendy - you are not moaning, you are sharing very valid thoughts! i would be exactly the same as you - i probably would turn into a hermit too, for fear of doing anything wrong. come and talk to us whenever you need to hon.

cadmum - you most certainly do count! we all think so anyway dont we girls!

munz - hope the hangover eases off quickly! i have to go to a party tonight and only on 8dpo - too early to test i reckon - so am going to have to do my utmost to steer clear of the drinks

i have to go to the vets as well - poorly cat so catch up later...
