Lovely lovely gynie specialist managed to whip out my Mirena (went astray, have posted before) without needing a GA (or three month wait for one) so am now officially TTC!

This (hopefully) will be my second DC, and am planning to use Persona to get to know my cycle a bit.

Is there a board I can join? Feel a bit weird about just jumping on to those great long boards where everyone knows each other...

I'm still here - AF is due on Sunday...going on a hen weekend as of this evening! I'm going to drink (although will deffo go easy) as I don't feel pregnant at all. In fact I don't know if I even ovulated this month as I had no pains and none of the sticky mucas stuff. Is that possible do you know?

I agree it is difficult when people announce their pregnancies - almost all of my friends in RL and on facebook seem to be pregnant for them but for me.

stillfrazzled · 31/10/2009 10:05

I know what you mean, Nichy. Four of my friends have announced pregnancies in the last three months. I am delighted for all of them - I just want to catch up!

NichyNoo · 01/11/2009 17:33

Well - I got my AF

Right in the middle of a mate's hen weekend which wasn't great. Two of the other hens are pregnant so felt a bit sad when my AF arrived.

Stupid I know but I feel disappointed even though we've only been TTC for 2 months....

stillfrazzled · 02/11/2009 09:20

I'm so sorry, Nichy. As you say, two months no time at all - but that doesn't make any difference, does it?

I'm on CD27 (I think; bloody Persona's given up the ghost after three weeks' use) and trying so hard not to (a) get my hopes up and (b) waste yet another test. I will not test until tomorrow, I will NOT.

Really feel rough but I know how good I am at inducing symptoms...

Just dropping in to say Hi to all on our thread. Pretty sure I OV'd at weekend and managed a fair bit of action so now waiting.......

stillfrazzled · 05/11/2009 08:47

Well, came on this morning.

Was hoping to give DH some fab news on his birthday, instead he has tearful DW and no bday action...

Ah well. Onwards and upwards, next month etc etc etc.

Sigh.

Hope your 'efforts' pay off, WYG

girlsyearapart · 05/11/2009 09:11

for you stillfrazzled.

I had a 2 day period on oct 21st which left me a bit confused as I was expecting a heavy one first time off the pill.

Oh well here's hoping for next month. Though not had much action recently so probably not!

Winibaghoul · 05/11/2009 10:19

hi ladies - do you mind if I join?
Currently TTC number 2. We're not actively 'trying' we've just ditched the protection. Not getting all that much action due to ds not sleeping properly

girlsyearapart · 05/11/2009 15:44

Hi wini sort of same here.
Don't know what my ov dates are or any of that but not on the pill so we shall see!
How old is your ds?

Winibaghoul · 05/11/2009 17:28

My ds is 13 months girls.

WestYorkshireGirl · 09/11/2009 21:56

Well life for me has been eventful of late.... Yesterday was knocked off the M1 by a Polish lorry driver, spun round infront of him and then ended up in crash barrier. Apart from bruises and sprains we are all OK, but shaken up, but just glad to still be here to tell the tale. Was on CD26 today and felt quite queasy and decided that as was feeling so rough would need to go to A&E and it would be useful to know if I was PG (if you recall I had high hopes this month as managed quite a bit of action with OV'd). Well, did my first test and it was negative . So not only do we have a written off car, had a near-death experience and have various injuries; I am not pregnant either! All, in all, a bit crap really!

stillfrazzled · 10/11/2009 20:10

Oh no! WYG, that's awful. How are you feeling now?

OP posts:
WestYorkshireGirl · 10/11/2009 21:26

Well headache and queasyness subsided, but still bad back and neck pain so think I will be off work the rest of the week. Just been speaking to my midwife friend who says that I should not set too much store on the false pg test. She thought my feelings of fatigue which have been quite extreme since the accident could be because I am pg and she herself had a negative test when she had her first. So maybe there is a bit of hope - will have to wait and see.

Stillfrazzled Thanks for asking how I am - nearly time for you to spring in to action?!

stillfrazzled · 16/11/2009 14:13

WYG you are uncanny.

This is CD12 and woke up this morning to find EWCM - but now it seems to have gone! Don't know whether I OV'd or not. V frustrating. Got plenty of action over weekend, so if it was we're prepared...

How's everyone else doing?

WestYorkshireGirl · 17/11/2009 19:09

Stillfrazzled

I am pleased to hear about your recent success and it made me chuckle! Good luck!

I have had even more drama as was admitted to hospital over weekend with abdominal pain. AF still not arrived and NHS direct were worried about possible ectopic or injury to spleen from accident, but turns out to be a VERY nasty gastric thing so have been signed off for the week. Feeling guilty as it's my second week off work!

Am now on CD34 and still no AF, but getting loads of cramps, but still it will not arrive - a bloomin pain!

All quiet on our thread lately!

WestYorkshireGirl · 20/11/2009 14:01

Stillfrazzled - it looks like it's just me and you at the moment so I will tell you my news!

Well after going to the Drs today about my abdo pains, she was much more encouraging about me doing a pg test (the nurse and other Dr I saw this week said they are so sensitive that it was unlikely I was pg if I had tested negative). Oddly she wouldn't do one there and said I should do a home test as they are more reliable.

I had bought 2 cheapie tests from Ebay and used one last week (CD26) and it was negative. I then had one done by a Dr who came to see me at home out of hours on day (CD30) which was negative. I did one this morning (CD37) and it looked like a bit of a faint line but we weren't sure so I went and got a Clearblue digital one and well it says PREGNANT 2-3 weeks! I am quite surprised as I have been getting cramps all week like my period was imminent, but also a bit vindicated as my breasts have been quite sore the last day or so. I put the sick feeling and being off my food down to the gastric bug and abdo pains. Have been pumping myself with all sorts of things in last 2 weeks after the nasty car accident and abdo pains, but Dr says I shouldn't worry about that.

So, all a bit exciting! DH really pleased but can't quite take it in with all the drama that has been going on the last 2 weeks!!

girlsyearapart · 20/11/2009 15:16

Yay WYG! Congrats to you fab news!

I came on two days ago (just after spending a fortune on a Clearblue)

So I'm out of the running for the next month.

NichyNoo · 25/11/2009 13:01

Congrats WYG!!! That's great news!!!

My AF is due this weekend (on the very day I will be a bridesmaid for my best friend so trying not to think about it). Still not sure if I ovulated the past 2 months...have been having lots of sex though

stillfrazzled · 25/11/2009 13:37

WYG, that's fabulous! Saw this literally three seconds ago, so sorry, haven't been checking my watched threads

As to drinking etc, I had about a bottle of wine and a couple of G&Ts the night before BFP with DS (was our anniversary, felt like I was about to come on and thought 'well I'm going to have a bloody good drink, then' Duh). Confessed to nurse in tears, who just said that people do terrible things before finding out they're pg and she'd only worry if I'd taken cocaine or something. SO am sure you don't need to worry at all.

I'm due on next week, have given in and bought a pack of cheapie tests to tide me over till my other ones arrive from eBay I am a hopeless case, i know.

wearthefoxhat · 27/11/2009 12:56

I was on this thread with a different name - until someone in RL reckoned they'd spotted me (not that I let on that they were right of course)

Still ttc, but no joy yet.

Well done WYG - that's really exciting news

ceebs05 · 27/11/2009 18:55

Hi

I've been looking for a thread to join - am new to the site and TTC. Started trying this month although had been a bit careless the month before. But just had AF so time to start again! I couldn't believe how disappointed I was when AF arrived (slightly early although only came off pill 3 months ago so still settling back into normal cycle I think). I know it's daft as it was the first month of trying but had been feeling nauseous so think I had got it into my head that I could be pregnant.

I feel totally obsessed about it now and am worried that I'm going to keep freaking out every month I don't conceive!

From what I see on here this is not uncommon though?!

WestYorkshireGirl · 29/11/2009 13:47

Welcome ceebs05

I suppose technically I shouldn't be on this thread anymore, but just dropped by to see how people are doing. Keep up the good work, ladies!

I am 6 weeks pg now - they work out your pregnancy from the first day of your last period, not conception date; so you automatically gain some weeks which is a bit weird!

Haven't had a lot of pg symptoms yet and still keep wondering if it's really true!

Remember that I did 2 neg tests before I found out at CD37 so that's worth bearing in mind.

Good luck all and I will pop in occasionally to say hi.

stillfrazzled · 01/12/2009 19:58

Hiya. Have been keeping well away from Conception board in an effort not to get too obsessed.

Not that it did any bloody good - came on today, one day early

It's two and a half months since I had the coil out, so nothing, really, but I just want to curl up and cry. Not to mention feeling like sh*te, which I'd forgotten after so long with Mirena taking care of the period side of things.

Sigh. Another month of waiting.

stillfrazzled · 04/12/2009 17:10
