Lovely lovely gynie specialist managed to whip out my Mirena (went astray, have posted before) without needing a GA (or three month wait for one) so am now officially TTC!

This (hopefully) will be my second DC, and am planning to use Persona to get to know my cycle a bit.

Is there a board I can join? Feel a bit weird about just jumping on to those great long boards where everyone knows each other...

I think it might in some cases I was ttc my first dc for 6 months and the night I went out to a party and it was the first time I had relaxed was when I became pg. Everybody is different and different bodies react differently.

imkeepingmum · 28/09/2009 15:20

Hello all again. After first thinking we would wait for a couple of periods before TTC we are both too impatient and are now actively TTC, very excited but going to have to try to be patient and let things happen!

nymphadora · 28/09/2009 18:40

Don't like this 2ww thing, am very impatient!

If I am not pg thistime the next 2ww has my wedding in the mddle so should be distracted at least and will be testing on honeymoon!!

WestYorkshireGirl · 28/09/2009 20:29

There seems to be a correlation between TTC and junk food - KFC, Burger King and Macdonalds all in one weekend!!

nymphadora I did think about the legs in the air/pillow thing, but that just seems a bit bizarre (as well as uncomfortable!)....

Kaylo quite excitingng that at least 2 people in West Yorks are on MN - where are you? I am near Holmfirth.

nymphadora · 28/09/2009 20:45

I actually find it comfy

bigbird29 · 28/09/2009 23:21

all the best imkeepingmum!
nymphadora Patience is something I have very little of and struggle to wait to test. I really wanted to be pg this month...next month if I catch I would be due the same as my 1st dc not sure about birthdays so close together or really does it matter? Anyway only 2 more days to wait got really bad pmt so I pretty much know but there is always that glimmer of hope! lol

Muser · 28/09/2009 23:31

My dh and his sister are days apart, but they seem to do fine. He's never mentioned it being a problem. I wouldn't worry.

nymphadora · 29/09/2009 07:58

That's a good thing about if I got pregnow, the rest of my family are autumn/ winter bdays

bigbird29 · 29/09/2009 08:42

ok I couldn't wait any longer and did test this morning and I have a faint line it came up within a minute so am trying not to get too excited and have sent hubby off to get me a digital test as there is no trying to interpret a line it just says pregnant or not pregnant! I am working until 10.30pm so won't be doing it until tomorrow morning ooooh cant wait!

bigbird29 · 29/09/2009 08:44

oh and nymphadora, I have been extremely stressed in work this month so it may not affect you after all.

BrokenBananaTantrum · 29/09/2009 09:28

Hello can I join please? We are TTC #2. I'm waiting to have my contraceptive implant removed (can't get an appointment for a month!)

NichyNoo · 29/09/2009 12:45

Hi all, I'm still playing the waiting game - AF due next week. I don't 'feel' pregnant though if you know what I mean?

Can I ask a really stupid question?? Is it correct to think that the only time you can conceive in an entire 28 day cycle is the 6 hours or so that an egg is released and alive??

I remember spending my late teens obsessing about pregnancy scares and now it seems that it was only a risk if I had sex on the 1 day I had an egg (or maybe a few days before if the sperm managed to live inside me). It just seems that the odds are stacked so high against not getting pregnant that I'm wondering how everyone manages it

loulouscissors · 29/09/2009 14:05

Hello All!

I'm new to MN, but i've been reading through these threads and I now don't feel so alone during this dreaded 2ww! DH and I have only just started TTC#2 this month (DS is nearly 6 and I'ne just realised what a gap there'll be), but I've suddenly turned into an obsessed lunatic! I'm only 4 DPO and trying to symptom spot even though I know its too early!!!I just cant think of anything else!!!

BrokenBananaTantrum · 29/09/2009 14:42

I know how you feel loulou. it can become an obsession. Hopefully we can all keep each other sane!

loulouscissors · 29/09/2009 16:43

Thanks BrokenBananaTantrum! It must be horrible having to wait to TTC! I fell PG with DS straight away so never got into this whole crazed obsessiveness before, but its been a while now and I honestly cant remember how I felt in the very early stages! Now it feels like every day is a lifetime and I'm just preparing myself for being disappointed! Not due AF till 10th Oct so still have a long time to wait!!!!!

BrokenBananaTantrum · 29/09/2009 18:50

God i HATE waiting

westyorshiregirl and kaylo I too am from West yorkshire. Nice to know you are too.

LouLou i've got my fingers crossed for you.

As I have had an implant for the last to years I havn't bled at all. I want it out so I can ttc a summer baby. Why do I put such pressure on myself.

I concieved DD after just 2 baby dances but from reading through the posts it sounds like even if you concieved quickly first time you might not again

Why am I stressing? I'm glad you lot are all here and understand my mumblings.

nymphadora · 29/09/2009 20:54

Just marking my place, another week to go

tiffanys · 29/09/2009 21:16

Hi everyone,

Welcome to any newcomers.

I have had a cople of horrid/stressful days. Starting with having my car vandalised, then going to funeral yesterday so been quite stressed - enough ranting for me

Well i wasnt able to hold of testing so i tested about 5 days ago and got a bfn - although af not sue until thursday so i think it was to early, I have had very sore nipples, very bad backache, so much so that dh has been getting warm waterbottle for me everynight this week and I have just had to most overwhhelming nausea where i had to dash for the loo. I am hoping i am not imagining any of this.

Does anyone know if backache can be a symptom?

I to have become obsessed, this 2 ww has semt forever i dont know how i am going to be a a few months if i dont get the bfp! Im glad i can talk on here tho

girlsyearapart · 29/09/2009 21:31

Hi my dds have birthdays 3 days apart.
Good as they had shared party and will continue to until they start school at least!!

Conceived both of mine first try so it can happen twice.

Have become a tiny bit obsessed with running and Dh is always at work so we haven't been seeing much of each other.

Would be a miracle if I was pg this month..

Muser · 29/09/2009 21:34

Hi, don't think I've posted on this one to introduce myself. We're planning on TTC no 1 in the next month or so. I am very excited!

Sorry you've had such a hard couple of days tiffanys. Hope it gets better soon and it turns out AF is not on the way.

bigbird29 · 30/09/2009 08:39

Tiffany- sounds promosing I couldn't remember too much about symptoms from my ds and I was sure I wasn't pg this month but I've done 3 tests now 2 digital and woop woop its defo pg! My symptoms were stomach cramps on 3dpo I had no show I felt a bit groggy but then about 5dpo-10dpo I felt completely normal so thought it hadn't worked then I started to get sore boobs pmt like symptoms quite ratty and only the last 2-3 days I've had nausea feelings. It is sooo hard to symptom spot as it is so similar to af symptoms.
Its the hardest the 2ww fingers crossed for everyone!

girlsyearapart · 30/09/2009 08:48

Yay bigbird congrats!
Have you worked out due date?

bigbird29 · 30/09/2009 09:10

Thanks! yes I have quite a long cycle 37 days so my due date is the 10th June! It hasn't really sunk in we haven't told anyone yet (apart from you guys!) This means my mother in law, step mother in law, my mum, my gran and nan in law and this bump would all have birthdays within a week of eachother! Lots of Gemini's lol!

stillfrazzled · 30/09/2009 09:56

Congrats bigbird! Maybe this will be a lucky thread

I'm still waiting to start bleeding (Mirena removed two weeks ago today, one day after what I'm fairly sure - based on EWCM - was ovulation).

Have done two tests, the eBay cheapies, both BFN.

BUT need advice - currently dying (poss slight exaggeration there) of horrible cold and aching in every limb. Really want some Nurofen or similar, but even tho I know I'm almost certainly not pg, feel guilty about it.

WWYD?

Stillfrazzled - I'd stick with paracetamol if you are worried. Drink loads and try and rest. Phone in sick to work if you have to and stay in bed if you can.

Hope you feel better soon.
