Lovely lovely gynie specialist managed to whip out my Mirena (went astray, have posted before) without needing a GA (or three month wait for one) so am now officially TTC!

This (hopefully) will be my second DC, and am planning to use Persona to get to know my cycle a bit.

Is there a board I can join? Feel a bit weird about just jumping on to those great long boards where everyone knows each other...

OMG the waiting game. I hate it. I like the smell symptoms HKT I had a ridiculous sense of smell when pg with DD and it started really early on.

WYG hold on. I wouldn't be able to cos I'm crap but you are a better woman than me I;ve got everything crossed for you.

I'm still waiting for AF to arrive. Only 6 days since I had my implant removed but i want it to arrive now so i can get started. Shouldn't it be here by now? Doc said i was fertile from the moment it came out so why has AF not here???? Sorry ranbling.

stillfrazzled · 13/10/2009 10:42

Hi, I'm on day 6 of the cycle, planning to jump DH tonight and every couple of days till Day 11. Also did my first Persona test this morning, which sadly I was quite excited by.

Hi all - I'm still lurking!

Am on day 9 of cycle - not sure when I usually ovulate so have instructed DH that we need to get busy every day for the next 9 days

He is very happy

Only problem is that I am away in London on a girle weekend this weekend so will have to do a Friday morning/Sunday evening quickie and hope it works. It was the same last month when DH was on a stag weekend at the key time.

Fingers crossed for next month when we may actually be in the same country for long enough to conceive

seaglass · 15/10/2009 14:48

I was HKT, but changed, and can't be bothered to change it back

WYG - any news?

I still keep getting heartburn, and I now feel really tired (but that's not really out of the ordinary) and had what might have been implantation bleeding last night, but I'm not sure. And I got freezing the other night, and my right nipple went blue! (seems a bit of a dodgy symptom, I know, but this only ever happened when PG.) I'm finding it very difficult not to build this all up and get excited, because they're probably just random things that I'm only spotting cos I'm thinking about them - IYSWIM!
Still got a week (ish) to go before I'll know one way or another.

BrokenBananaTantrum · 15/10/2009 18:18

AF has arrived Now at leats I can start charting.

stillfrazzled · 15/10/2009 18:43

Huh. Just done the stupid Babyzone stupid gender predictor.

Apparently, to get the girl I (not-so-secretly) want, it's this month... or March.

And although I know this is essentially horsesh*t, I am quite unreasonably downcast about it. What is it about TTC that makes your sense of logic fly out of the window?

BrokenBananaTantrum · 15/10/2009 20:50

I know what you mean stillfrazzled. I feel like more than half my brain is permenantly(sp) obsessing about TTC.

girlsyearapart · 15/10/2009 20:55

hello. nowt to report here. Due on on the 18th so not testing yet. Boobs hurting.

Will keep you posted. Will be very suprised if it happens this month haven't been trying very hard!

WestYorkshireGirl · 15/10/2009 22:24

Bugger - no luck this month! Didn't really think it was possible as wasn't much action, but when AF rather slow to arrive I started to get a bit obsessed hopeful.

It's arrived today and whilst not as disappointed as last month, it still feels like a failure . However, DH getting a lot better about being a bit more a part of it -apart from the obvious (he'd previously got a bit stressed out and pressured so I stopped talking about it so much and giving him details etc). On a 31 + day cycle it feels so crushing to know it will be over 4 weeks till we might find out again. Also, a friend has just announced her pregnancy so that always brings it home.

Oh well, I shall retire to bed with my period pains and look forward to my week off next week.

Anyone else got news?

girlsyearapart · 16/10/2009 08:14

Did a test last night. Was negative. Totally ridiculous of me as didn't even wee on it properly but just enough to make test work..

Also too early to test. Oh well that's another wasted test! Must remember not to keep them in the house in future..

imkeepingmum · 17/10/2009 09:16

Hi all, tested this morning as AF due and no sign (and am v impatient!), and it was positive!!!!!!!! Had massive and sore boobs for the last week but was trying not to get my hopes up.

Very excited but can't quite believe it as it's only our first month trying!!! Obviously very early days so trying to be realistic (please stay stuck littleimkeepingmum)!

BrokenBananaTantrum · 17/10/2009 09:46

Yea yea yea imkeepingmum. That's brilliant.

WestYorkshireGirl · 17/10/2009 09:51

Congrats imkeepingmum! Very good too that it's your first month. Can't remember if it's your first?

Once AF out of the way, have told DH we have to really go for it this month as I am getting impatient. He took it quite well !

imkeepingmum · 17/10/2009 10:20

Yes it's our first. DP bounced around the house this morning like an idiot after we'd had a conversation along the following lines:
me: "I think there's a line" DP: "What does that mean?" me: "well that I'm pregnant" DP: "are you sure, check the instructions, why are there two lines"

imkeepingmum · 17/10/2009 10:23

Good luck WestYorkshireGirl!

girlsyearapart · 17/10/2009 11:14

Yay congrats!

stillfrazzled · 17/10/2009 19:09

Oh, that's fab! So pleased for you.

I'm coming up to ov (next three days or so), so hoping tonight is the night...

seaglass · 17/10/2009 21:00

Well done imkeepingmum

All my symptoms have gone
Absolutely knackered/feeling sick etc, but think that's because of the trauma of the last few days - my MIL died.
Got to wait til wednesdayish for af.
Feeling pretty bleurgh

BrokenBananaTantrum · 21/10/2009 19:26

Its all gone quiet on here again.

How are we doing? I've never felt so bloated as i am this month.

Seaglass for you. Hope you are feeling a little better.

imkeepingmum · 22/10/2009 20:56

Hello all, still lurking, hoping it's quiet because everyone is busy TTC!!

BrokenBananaTantrum · 22/10/2009 22:58

Ah thats why. Everyone is off baby dancing! Good luck

stillfrazzled · 24/10/2009 13:54

I'm feeling massively bloated too, really weird busy feeling.

Am torn between hoping, and realising it's really unlikely and I'm just obsessing and need to get my head round the BFN that's probably coming...

On CD 18, think I'm 4DPO, so can't test for ten days, right?

OP posts:
WestYorkshireGirl · 24/10/2009 17:17

I am on CD 9, but have taken the radical decision this month not to actively look at possible OV window (as have done previously) and see what happens..... My theory is that trying to time things hasn't worked so far so maybe just relaxing might help! Hope everyone else ok.

stillfrazzled · 26/10/2009 12:23

Aaaargh this is just getting ANNOYING.

Still feeling nauseous, have tingly feeling in nork area, bloated as hell...

And yet is so incredibly unlikely that am actually pg. Remember this happened when we were trying for DS - I spent most of month convinced I was, then wasn't.

Sigh. I hate my brain sometimes.

What is earliest DPO you can test?

OP posts:
WestYorkshireGirl · 29/10/2009 20:52

Seems all quiet on our thread... Hope everyone getting on OK. Someone at work announced they are 16 wks pregnant this week and I wanted to shout 'I want to be pregnant too'! Feeling a bit fed up with it all...
