Lovely lovely gynie specialist managed to whip out my Mirena (went astray, have posted before) without needing a GA (or three month wait for one) so am now officially TTC!

This (hopefully) will be my second DC, and am planning to use Persona to get to know my cycle a bit.

Is there a board I can join? Feel a bit weird about just jumping on to those great long boards where everyone knows each other...

Congrats bigbird!

Sorry for the TMI first thing on a monday morning but I have a question that can only be asked here...

Following some advice in one of these threads, I've been doing the 'shoulder stand against the wall' thing after DH does the deed (god only knows what I look like...)
I think they are getting to their intended target, but the next day, I get something which looks very much like EWCM.

Which is now confusing the bejesus out of me, because I don't know what is actually EWCM and what is ahem, slighty congealed present from DH.

Are there any other ovulation symptoms I can look out for?

I can't answer any of the questions

I am now on day 27/? and no sign of anything. Have tested twice but both -ve. Not expecting to be pg but want to move on if I'm not IYSWIM!

Hello again. Had my implant removed today. Though she wasn't going to get it out it took a lot of prodding / pushing / pulling (sounds a bit like giving birth when i put it like that)

So i'm fertile again. (hopefully it all still works)

Anyone know how long before AF comes along? I've not bled at all while i've had the implant and don't want to get caught out. Would you wear a pad all the time do you think?

Have had period like feelings- sore boobs, bit of tummy ache but only a tiny tiny bit of blood.

Came off pill a bit less than a month ago and had period straight after so would be too early for period anyway.

Am confused now..

Have been away a while and this thread has really grown - welcome to all the new recruits. I am waiting for AF, but 99% certain I OVd when away and DH was not with me . Tried looking for EWCM, every day, but it never seemed to get very stretchy like some of the pictures you can find if you google it. It feels a bit rubbish when you know you have another 4 weeks to go until trying again.... I will have to eat some more chocolate...

Ticklepeanut - I have had cycles of up to 39 days before with no pg symptoms so know how you feel. Sorry to hear about your cat.

Brokenbananatantrum - good news about your implant - good luck.

Bigbird - congrats!

All others who have had BFNs - lets try to keep our spirits up!

Ooookkkaaaayyy, an odd thing to say on a TTC thread, but - yay, AF just started!

(Disclaimer; Mirena out exactly three weeks ago, so now feel like my system's getting back to normal and we can start trying properly)

Anyone use Persona or CB? Do you know if today counts as day one, or is it too late?

Stillfrazzled I used Persona for several years. If today is the first day of 'heavy' flow, then it would be Day 1 and you would need to press the 'm' button until it shows a number 1. However, you need to press the button at the right time for your testing window e.g. at a time when you will wake and test your first urine of the day. I always pressed it at 8am as that covered 3 hours before (when I get up early for work) and 3 hours after if I lie in. The day doesn't matter so much e.g. if you miss pressing the 'm' button on Day 1, you can press it on Day 2 and wait until it shows 2 on the display, but you must get the time right. The instruction book is very good.

Hello everyone, do you mind if I join your thread please? I'm TTC#1 and just waiting to test (not for a while yet)... Have had a few odd tummy pains and a couple of waves of feeling quite sick over the last couple of days. Sure it must be in my head though as not feeling very hopeful. Hope your symptoms are real and not just in your head - when will you test?

I'm fairly sure I've OV'ed today (god, I sound as neurotic as my sister ) and unfortunately DH is knackered. I'm going to have to pretend to be really sexy and alluring, which is going to be pretty bloody impossible. I may have to blindfold him and pretend to be Kylie Minogue He's having a little sleep in the bath right now, so wish me luck

Welcome Winnie your symptoms might not be in your head. When I got pg with DD i felt sick too before af was due.

Still waiting... I really didn't appreciate how hard it would be. Have had feeling of AF coming for nearly a week now, plus occassional nausea, but no actual sickness, going for a wee loads and most strange really bad wind (sorry, tmi)!! AF due anytime from end of this week, so trying to resist the urge to test. Think AF might put in an early appearance though...

How's everyone else?

I'm doing the waiting game now - about a week and a half to go - so far, the symptoms I'm making up in my head spotting at the moment are heartburn (although probably more likely to be last nights tea than PG) and a bad headache that gets worse with certain smells not sure what that's all about! I usually have a terrible sense of smell, but today I have dog smelling abilities (I don't mean I smell like a dog, just that I can smell like a dog - you know what I mean!)
How's everyone else doing?

I am on day 28. Cycle for last 3 months has been between 29 and 31 days (although can be up to 35/6). I am actively trying to stop myself from testing to avoid disappointment until the weekend if I can make it that long!!
