Lovely lovely gynie specialist managed to whip out my Mirena (went astray, have posted before) without needing a GA (or three month wait for one) so am now officially TTC!

This (hopefully) will be my second DC, and am planning to use Persona to get to know my cycle a bit.

Is there a board I can join? Feel a bit weird about just jumping on to those great long boards where everyone knows each other...

Hmmm maybe a bit of nooky will cheer me up - could be just the tonic I need!!

Any news from the girls in our gang?

nymphadora · 24/09/2009 21:09

Still haven't noticed anything even with black knickers! Maybe I actually have to try looking!

sparechange · 25/09/2009 10:40

No news here, other than I got a leeetle bit roaring drunk tipsy last night and told my best mate that we are ttc
She got hysterically excited and phoned me at 8am today to say she is going to suggest to her dh that they start to try, because being on maternity leave together would be fun
Somehow it feels the pressure is now on!

sparechange · 25/09/2009 10:40

ooh, why didn't that work
does this work?

Ticklepeanut · 25/09/2009 10:56

Today feeling wobbly, bloated and with a stitch-like pain in my side. If am not pg but in fact coming down with something days before my one holiday of the year, I will be very !

Ticklepeanut · 25/09/2009 13:56

Update: still got this stitch-like pain in my left side and also now a sort of bubbling/grumbling sensation in my lower abdomen. (TMI warning) when I went to the loo I noticed a dollop of EWCM, which is odd for me at this point in my cycle - I'd expect to have none right now, and certainly not the runny sort - so I think tomorrow am is going to be testing time for me.

Fingers crossed!

TishTosh21 · 25/09/2009 14:27

Hi all,

Im TTC#1, came off the pill about 3 weeks ago. No AF as yet so could go either way, playing the waiting game just like alot of others. Still going to try and make myself wait at least another 2 weeks before testing (as long as AF doesnt come before that)
Only MIL knows we're TTC as she is v excited about it!

girlsyearapart · 25/09/2009 14:47

Good luck Tish can't believe only person who knows is your MIL! That's a turn up for the anti MIL ers on here.
Sparechange- think you have to do each word separately to cross out.
One of my best friends had her 1st baby yesterday 10lb5!!!

TishTosh21 · 25/09/2009 14:51

Thanks girlsyear, yeah I know lol but i do have a nice MIL, think im one of the lucky ones.
10lb is quite large, did she have a VB?

HKT · 25/09/2009 16:11

Blimey! Telling your MIL!!!
We're only trying for another cos I had a veeeery convincing false alarm, and we were both really dissapointed when I wasn't. My MIL is ill ATM, and that's partly the reason - you never know what the future holds, so you may as well do everything in life (within reason!), but if/when I do get preggers, we'll be dreading tellng her! She barely spoke to me when I was PG with #3 - thought I'd got my wicked way with her son! (in a way she was right, but I don't remember him complaining
Only my twin knows what we're up to but I couldn't not tell her, it would be like keeping a secret from myself!
TicklePeanut - good luck for tomorrow! Hope you get a BFP!

Ticklepeanut · 25/09/2009 17:18

Thanks HKT

bigbird29 · 25/09/2009 19:36

Hello all please may I join also! I am ttc DS No 2 for 2 months.
I am testing tomorrow morning and this evening seems to be dragging, I don't feel pg but for some reason I can't remember how I felt last time!
I am wishing everyone all the best ttc!x

nymphadora · 25/09/2009 19:40

Day 17 doesn't the time drag!

tiffanys · 25/09/2009 20:39

Hi all

Hello to any newcomers

Well had a strange few days, had a few of what could be pg symptoms but im not sure if i really have them or just thinking them that much that I have them. (if that makes sense)

ticklepeanut how exciting to be testing tomorrow ... good luck with the bfp i will be watching and keeping my fingers crossed

I have a quick questions for those on here who have more than one dc..... did you show any faster with the second dc or first? Just wondeering

How is everyone else? Any thing to report?

bye for now

HKT · 25/09/2009 22:23

I've had 3 so far - my second I lost quite a lot of weight cos of morning sickness, so didn't show at all until nearly 6 months on (should add I'm on the larger side anyway, so probably wouldn't show as much as a little skinny person)
#3, I think my tummy remembered what it was like, and quickly fell into place, so by 3 months, even if we hadn't told anyone, is was obvious!
If I manage to have another, I'll probably look ready to pop all the way through.

girlsyearapart · 26/09/2009 06:20

Hi yes my friend did have a VB. 10 and half pounds is a lot to push out so she's in hospital recovering for a few days! Looking forward to seeing them both today. If that doesn't make me broody don't know what would!

Re showing- dd1 took me till about 5 months to show but with dd2 I had a bump by about 10 weeks. Luckily we were on holiday in Australia more or less until the first scan or I'd have had to tell everyone early.

Am feeling sick, have had bleeding gums and can't stop eating but I don't think I could be pg even though I feel like it..

Stopped the pill on Sept 13th and had a period after that. So surely too early?? Unless I was pg before..

I can forsee a fortune being spent on tests in the next few months!

TishTosh21 · 26/09/2009 08:22

Yeah 10lb is alot to push out! she must have had a gruelling labour.
I stopped the pill on Sept 8th, had been BDing since then and havent had a period yet so still in 2 minds as to whats going on.
Been having dreams i had a baby aswell!
I dont want to test too early but the suspense is killing me, its been nearly 3 weeks since coming off the pill and people have told me to wait at least 4 weeks. Been having v small bouts of sickness that only last a few mins, not sure if this is a sign or just coincedence.

Shortly after coming off the pill I felt things in my abdomen that i thought was my period coming but nothing happened.

Ticklepeanut · 26/09/2009 13:25

Well, BFN this morning

No sign of AF though, despite feeling most peculiar overnight (bloated with occasional abdominal pain).

I've read that the embryo only starts producing the hormone that tests are supposed to detect after it has implanted in the uterus lining, so if the pains I had yesterday/last night were implantation, maybe I won't have enough hormone to show up for another few days? Still keeping my fingers crossed just in case. I'll update when I'm back from my hols on Friday.

Good luck to anyone else testing in the meantime!

girlsyearapart · 26/09/2009 13:27

Yeah I bought a test which came up negative. Thought it would be but just feel pregnant..

I suppose it's too early for it to show up on the test anyway though.

Right off now to see my friend

WestYorkshireGirl · 26/09/2009 17:12

Ticklepeanut & girlysearapart- sorry to hear about your BFNs . Hope you enjoy your holiday / friends visits.

Nothing much to report at my end - apart from frustration (this may be TMI, but we seem to be above that in this thread!) that the little soldiers always seem to be going the wrong way after BDing i.e. they aherm.. 'trickle out' very quickly!!! I can't imagine how any can get to the right place.......

Kaylo · 26/09/2009 20:40

Oooh, I live in West Yorkshire too.

Sorry. Just didn't West Yorkshire was on the Mumsnet Map

xx

tiffanys · 26/09/2009 22:43

Hi all

Sorry for the bfns.. hopefully we will have some luck in the next few days if u are re testing.

My af is due thursday and I have already started to feel very much like normal, (moody ... snappy .. ready to pop) so guessing im probably going to get the normal af this month!

westyorkshiregirl I have heard that lying with a pillow under your bum or keeping your legs in the air after bding can make the little soldiers more likley to reach there destination .... might be worth a try!

Got a lovely day tommorow to look forward to... and still trying to focus on the hhealty eating but seem to be slipping... kfc got in the way

nymphadora · 27/09/2009 08:03

I have been lying with my feet up, figured it can't do any harm .
*TMI alert**
though a few times lately nothing has come out, so where does it go?

bigbird29 · 27/09/2009 20:05

Hi all,

let me join you all in bfns! I barely slept the night before testing and got so excited as I felt I was pregnant even tho I couldn't really sense any pg signs! My hubby thought I was going all starnge when I kept touching my chest to see if they were a bit sore...but no! There was nothing not even a glimmer of a line...I did the first response test which aren't the most accurate when done earlier as I just couldn't wait any longer!
I am due wed so am going to wait til then. However like TIFFANY'S if I was honest I feel premenstrual so ate a Burger King and Macdonalds all in one day!
Goodluck everybody.

nymphadora · 27/09/2009 20:32

How muchdoes stress affect ttc? Had an awful week and didn't sleep well Thursday/Friday though I should have already ov by then
