I have a quick question for those more experienced at this -how long does it usually take from you see EWCM to you actually ovulate?
I'm on CD10, and noticed it for the first time today (the sticky, cloudy version) (never had that much reason to notice before). My problem is that I'm away at a conference and not supposed to go home until Friday. I could ditch the last two days and go home tomorrow, but not sure if that would be a bit extreme... It's a big and fairly important thing, but at the moment I'd rather have a baby than a career (yes, I am a shame to feminism)

What would you do?

Hi ImmaterialGirl. I think for me it was a couple of days this cycle, but I'm sure it varies greatly from person to person. Also, I'm useless at symptom spotting and bought a CBFM to do everything for me...I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will come along shortly.

Snowbunny, pigleychez and loujalou, the wedding is on 12th Sep and, yes, it's an enormous church affair, organised exclusively by my mother and DP, who scoffed at my idea of a small registry office do. I should call it My Big Fat Greek Wedding II and sell tickets.

Hi I've just realised that no-one has put me at the back of the bus (and I'm too thick to be able to do it myself!). I'm now on CD8.(don't know if I'm entitled to still be on the May bus but I'll lurk here for now!).

Lots has happened in the few days I haven't been able to get on here. Congratulations to anymore graduates that I have missed.

Need to vent (sorry in advance). DH has given up smoking!!!! Ok so I nagged him telling him at every opportunity that his little swimmers would be deformed with 2 heads and 2 tails but now......well now I just wish he'd have a bloody fag! He's in the vilest of moods, snappy and miserable. Everything's my fault and he looks at me with definite dislike. There's no way we'll be bonking tonight or any time in the near future if this mood carries on. Damn Damn Damn for two reasons: we haven't had a bonk since not long after I last ovulated (that was about 3 or more weeks ago) and I'm absolutely gagging for it!; I'm hoping this dry spell doesn't carry on when I'm ovulating otherwise it will be a complete waste of a cycle!! Grrrrrr

Sayanything are you Greek? I am but managed to have quite a small (well 80 day guests - which is small for Greek weddings) Greek wedding. Though not religious so was in a church. Lots of lovely food though.

Am feeling sickly / nauseous but still got to wait to Monday for period. Though if it is coming there will probably be some spotting on Sat (TMI). Just had some cake and that wasn't appealing, Ribena tasted foul. Also, got nipple pains though they are probably imagined.

Well CD14 today and I thought my "busy" week had got off to a disastrous start last night. DH works crazy shifts for one of the emergency services and was due home before midnight last night, but true to form he got stuck at a job and it was nearly 3am when he got home. Of course, I had previously warned him of the importance of this week and despite the ridiculous hour, he didn't disappoint! Bless him!

Fingers crossed for a quiet shift for him tonight!!!!!
