Bettymamma · 29/08/2009 20:15

Congrats Nancypreg!! You've been driving the bus and updating the list for a couple of months now. Am happy you're joining the May ante-natal thread to keep us all organised. I think i feel almost ready to post on there now.

Ladylou - i'm liking the symptom spotting. I know we said we'd stop each other but my fingers and toes are so crossed for you. Well they are crossed for all of you!

MrsRigby - you were missed.

Who mentioned hot dogs and plastic cheese - (runs off to the fridge).

Loujalou · 29/08/2009 20:38

Only 4 dpo and nausea has started again. Why does this always happen? Far too early to be pregnancy symptoms and not very pleasant. DH was convinced I was due on as have been moody cow but that is related to upcoming birthday more than anything!

Beanmum not sure I am tempted to test at all at the month. 2 months ago had the same thing. Was absolutely convinced i was preggers and nothing. Think I need some booze.

How are all your bank holiday weekends?

Beanmum · 29/08/2009 21:11

loujalou - I've noticed early nausea too, whcih has had me totally convinced i'm pg on more than one occasion Now wondering whether it might be to do with the release of progesterone at ovulation? Trying to ignore it this month, but have been feeling really icky for the last few days...

Good luck for June hells

Welcome jen

Haven't actually got an excel spreadsheet, but am loving all the data entry and interactive graph-iness of fertility friend . I embraced my inner geek some time ago.

bluesnowfalcon · 29/08/2009 21:47

Congrats Nancy great to see another BFP!

Having trouble keeping up at mo as we are really busy finishing our conservatory so sorry if I miss anything!

Thinking of all

bluesnowfalcon · 29/08/2009 21:56

Jen welcome to the May bus - I came off the pill in July so now waiting for my second proper AF and have been TTC since the begining of August so we'll just have to wait and see.

I had all sorts of odd niggly pains and feelings before first AF so nothing unusual in that

Good luck with TTC and hope to see BFP's soon x

Gingerbics · 29/08/2009 21:57

Well done to all the BFP graduates, I'm hopping over to the june bus with hopefully a lucky ticket. Got everything crossed for all us graduates -to-be !

Sweetpeasmum · 29/08/2009 22:06

Blimey, still only CD13 for me. Enjoying the enhanced sex life but not looking forward to 2ww, I'm a bit of a control freak and v impatient! Have been busy obsessing about ov signs, am saving temping and fertility testing for next month - I have to feed my neurosis slowly lest it take over my whole life!

MrsRigby · 29/08/2009 22:45

Evening .

I've been trying to post since this morning, but between DH and DS - aarghhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Went shopping this morning, can't remember what for, but basically it ended with DH and I screaming at each other and a traffic warden trying to break up the fight.

It was a VERY windy day.

Firstly, we went to withdraw money for the builder who completed some work on the house whilst we were away. Only 1 person serving (ON A SODDING SATURDAY). I told her we wanted to withdraw some money, she gave me a look and then asked how much. After asking for £650 of our own money, she told me (DH apparently knew we couldn't take out our own money when we wanted) that we could only take out £300 and that we would have to arrange in advance for a larger sum. Then when I presented my card, she had a go at me for not signing my card and then not carrying any ID . DH then stepped in and clarified that it was a joint account (should DH and I ever split, I'm fucked - everything is in his name and he deals with the money side of things) and showed his ID, which included an unsigned credit card and she then had a go at him (he maintains that he did sign the card, but the signature rubbed off).

So then we (I was in Starbucks buying a tall chocolate cream frappachino) made the mistake of going into the Early Learning Centre. DH showed DS a toy and DS immediately started crying when DH tried taking it off him, he was inconsolable - and so was DS. So of course we ended up having to buy it (Whizzy Mountain with 3 free construction cars) and as of yet DS hasn't really played with it, but DH and I have and it's great. Afterall that's why childrens toys were invented - for mums and dads to play with .

Sorry, I've just seen 2 great big spiders and DH has just seen 1 also - all within 30 minutes. He stepped on them all. My skin is crawling and I don't think I'll be sleeping tonight. First sodding wasps and now spiders, you get less insects in a tropical rainforest.

Anyway, where was I - oh yes...

So DH and I returned to the car to be met by a lovely traffic warden (I actually really like them - I have a very sadistic side). He had written a ticket and was just about to apply it to the windowscreen when DH started to go into a blind panic. We'd brought a ticket and DH had asked me to put it in view on the dashboard, which being the good wife I am, I did. So you'd think that would be the first place he looked, but in a panic he started tearing the car apart and had a go at me. I then started screaming that I did put the ticket on the dashboard and that the strong wind must have blown it. DH then found the parking ticket a bit further down the dashboard. He didn't apologise to me, which then made me even madder and at that point, the traffic warden had to step in.

Following this we went to Waitrose to buy a load of organic food for DS, but before we could do this, we had to park. However, all the parent and child spaces were taken up by men with mid life crisis and flashy sports cars, supposedly disabled people (it's amazing what passes as being disabled these days) and the ignorant elderly (usually a woman). So after circling the car park for 15 minutes a space became available, DH was just about to indicate when a woman in about her 50s manouvered into it. Before DH could say or do anything I got out the car and caught the attention of the woman. I informed her that parent and child spaces were for parents with children. Not 50 somethings dressed as 20 somethings wearing far too much make-up. I further informed her that she was a dispicable human being and reminded her that what goes around, comes around or what comes around goes around (I can never remember which way around that saying is said). She was not happy and walked off. The point was made.

We then visited DH parents. For a refreshing change, they didn't try to take DS off us as soon as we walked through the door. We were chatting about Cornwall, DS and other general stuff when DH's father started telling us the football scores off teletext. He does this everytime and it's baffling as neither DH or I like football or know anything about it. Then DH's mother started worrying about DS when I put him on the floor to crawl. She kept covering all the corners on furniture etc and tried to make DS sit with toys that she wanted him to play with. Normally I would have tried to compete for DS affection, but it's a lost cause and I'm just going to focus on DC#2 (IF THAT EVER HAPPENS). It really pissed off DH and I, we would rather he explored and received a few knocks etc so that he learned.

And on top of all of this, I made the mistake of taking another test - a BFN. I've absolutely no idea what is going on with my body. Something should have happened by now.

Welcome jen99 .

CurlyCasper · 30/08/2009 08:41

mrs R I really hope your Sunday is better than your Saturday, Or that you at least feel better after venting. That's exactly the sort of arguments my DH and I have - the little things that really irk you at the time.

Nothing to report here. Think I've started 2WW, but not sure.

Right, off to the in-laws today. I like them at the moment - is this likely to change when I have a child?

Medee · 30/08/2009 09:22

congratulations, NancyPreg!

Medee · 30/08/2009 09:22

congratulations, NancyPreg!

memorylapse · 30/08/2009 10:31

Mrs R..theres nothing like having a good rant to get it out of your system.

I hope that today is a better day for you

Firerise · 30/08/2009 12:37

MrsRigby, sounds like a shocker of a day, did the warden let you off the ticket in the end? Its days like that make a lass miss gin.

Hows the willpower going liahgen? I crumbled this morning and cracked out a FR. BFN of course but only on CD25 out of 30 (List is a day off) so what the hell was I expecting especially as this is our first month of trying??!! Feel a bit stupid now! x

x

MrsRigby · 30/08/2009 21:13

Evening everyone

Feeling much better today, though I do wish my period would arrive - never thought I'd be wishing for that!

I estimate I'm on CD31.

curlycasper I stopped liking my in-laws when DS was born. They constantly want to see us (what this really means is they want to see their grandson), every week and usually for the best part of a Saturday. If we don't go around they start saying when they do see us "well we don't know when we're going to see you again", they say the same thing when they leave answer messages - they even wrote it once in my bloody birthday card . If we're out and aren't in to pick up the phone, they quiz us about where we have been and what time we were out etc. They keep telling me that I have to leave the baby with them, that it's not normal to always be around the baby and that I should go out and leave DS with them. They keep pushing 'advice' on us. They were not happy that I was still breastfeeding DS at 3 months and not giving him any proper food. Now everytime we go around they grab him off me without asking and force me to compete for his affection. We take his toys around with us, but the mother-in-law does't let him play with them, instead she gives him toys that she has around the house. Whilst we're there they don't allow us to look after him, every time he goes near the fireplace, she gets up and throws a blanket and cushions over it. DS goes to an empty table to investigate and she grabs him and puts him somewhere else. It's an absolute nightmare. I hate going around.

firerise yes, he teared it up infront of us. He was really nice.

DH wants to have sex tonight, he admitted to me today that he really wants another child - now .

pigleychez · 30/08/2009 22:03

evening all,

Hope everyone is well and symptom spotting is in full swing

CD 19 of 28.
Today I had horrible lower back pain, had some headaches and had a few moments of that horrible sick feeling in the back of your throat.
Also been really tired since friday. Been dozing off mid afternoon when DD has her nap. [lazy cow emotion]

Last night had a sharp shooting pain in my right hand side that reminded me of the implantation i felt with DD and today ive had a few grumbles too

Trying not to read too much into it as not to get my hopes dashed when AF arrives

Firerise · 30/08/2009 22:32

MrsR Glad you got a nice traffic warden!!How on earth do you put up with your inlaws being like that??? That would drive me insane, does your DH get irked by it too and not say something to them? I would certainly not want to see them every weekend if they were like that!!!

I am v lucky that mine live several thousand miles away, especially given my FIL does not approve of me plus once said in a slightly worrying way that when we have DC's he want to have "access" to them.

Pretty sure I'm about to come on even though its early as v crampy and I've been hyper emotional today for no good reason.

Ladylou83 · 30/08/2009 23:25

What a day MrsR!!! Blimey....

BFN from me today....really want period to arrive so can just start again...oh joyful

liahgen · 31/08/2009 07:56

yep BFN for me too today with FMU and a tesco test.

Still 6 days till Sat really so could just be too early but don't think so.

Am so fed up now of this, it's stressing me completely. Started this feeling so positive and no am so bloody despondent it's taking over my bloody life. That wasn't how it was supposed to be. Even DH and I are bickering and not having much sex after the point of OV.

Sorry about other BFN's, hopefully we're simply to impatient.

Good luck to anyone else waiting this week.

MRSR sounds like our Saturday this week, was our wedd anniv and spent most of the day bickering and sniping, and moaning about the kids.

At lunch, (was also MIL's bday) even crossed my mind that Why on earth would we want more when DH seems so disattisfied with our current lot.

lucylev · 31/08/2009 09:45

Hiya guys,

I have re-tested this morning and got a neg so looks like now i am just late.. will await my p and get trying again for next month

Its bank holiday today so a nice lazy day ahead

Beanmum · 31/08/2009 11:14

Congratulations nancypreg!!!

Anyone else tested over the weekend?

Today is my second day of a peak reading on the CBFM, so there will definitely be another shag tonight. So far, my cycle seems to be textbook.

Fingers crossed everyone!

Beanmum I only just saw that you already posted the list. Doh! I've no idea how I managed to miss that. Sorry .

am really fed up too. Will be three years of trying at christmas . Am 35 soon and STILL no kids, totally understand about the bickering etc. The shagging becomes a biological chore....Keep your chin up. I have cramps so AF on the way and I was really hopeful this month. My husband says..." don't worry" ARRRGGGHH!!!!
