good luck to anyone testing today..the wait is agonising..I keep looking at the calender.in the hope the days are going quicker..Ive had to bring DH back down to earth gently as he seems convinced Im already preg..keep reminding him, it may take a while.

Bettymamma · 19/08/2009 11:07

my god you lot are so good at not testing!

morefaith - you're feeling pg. tell me more tell me more.

Mampam - i'm going to have to read some all posts about whats going on with you. Bear with me. Lovely MIL by the way???

Tobago - i really hope its not anything. It can be so difficult to stay positive after each month i know but you were doing a good job of it.

Bettymamma · 19/08/2009 11:09

oh - we're flying back for our week stay in England tomorrow (what you all shout - you're in England) - well i haven't been for a while, but i'm looking forward to returning and buying cheap pg tests.

Hope the weather is as nice as i've heard. We can't cope with 34 degrees here anymore

mummydemma · 19/08/2009 12:09

Hi everyone!

I hope it's OK for me to hop on this bus. I lurked around the April bus but never officially joined it, but AF has shown up this morning and I thought I would buy a 'real' ticket for this bus!

I have added my stats to the list and for now I'm on the back seat! I'm not really sure about my UCL as last month was my first off the pill since DS 3 years ago. I seem to think that my cycle was always 28 days before I had either of my DC and of course it was bang on 28 days whilst on the pill. That's why I got my hopes up when I made it to CD33 this month but alas! Obviously just my body getting back to normal.

Anyway, good luck to everyone on the bus and here's to lovely BFPs for as many of us as possible.

Hi and welcome Mummydemma! This is possibly the biggest bus i've ever been on

mampam · 19/08/2009 14:06

Welcome mummydemma. Bettymamma if you don't mind my asking, where do you normally live? I'm assuming it's abroad somewhere????

tobago fingers crossed it's just an implantation bleed!!

morefaith · 19/08/2009 14:22

welcome mummydemma
thanks bluesnowfaith babydust to you too.
bettymamma its hard to explain l have no oblivious symptoms besides on and off cramps and back ache also harmsting like pain on left leg.l know l pee alot anyway but at the mo l am literally living in the loo also my boobs are tender which l never get even when af so this week l am avoiding sleeping on my tummy which l'm used to cause l cant sleep on my boobs for long.

morefaith · 19/08/2009 14:26

all the best fo you tobago l am thinking of you.

sweetkitty · 19/08/2009 14:44

hi all been a hectic and emotional few days so haven't really been thinking about TTC. CD19 2WW so nothing going on, I never have early PG symptoms apart from a "feeling" but doesn't stop me inventing some lol, have aching ovaries I think

good luck to anyone testing and hugs to anyone at the back of the bus, can hear DD3 up from her nap best go get her

mumabee · 19/08/2009 15:10

Hi everyone, may I join the bus please? I didn't have dessert last night, so can probably squeeze in towards the back I usually lurk on MN but am feeling good vibes on this May bus.

I came off the Contraceptive Patch on 28 June, had a withdrawal bleed between 2-6 July. We started trying soon after and had a 37 day cycle, it's usually 27-28 days. Tested BFN on CD35 and AF came 8-12 August.

Is this correct? TTC#1, UCL 27-28(or is it 37?), CD12.

Babydust and good luck to all.

mumabee · 19/08/2009 15:14

Ooops, I forgot to add cycle 2

Bettymamma · 19/08/2009 17:30

morefaith - that sounds VERY promising - wooohh and you're on cd33! I just knew with dd1 cos of the boobs. A note to those trying for dd #2 - the boobs won't hurt so much in early pg this time cos they've hardened up after feeding!

mampam - i'm an expat in Switzerland but you just can't beat a bit of English women's banter on mumsnet...

WickedWitchSouthWest · 19/08/2009 17:34

bettymama pmsl!! I'll join you in the corner rocking with madness!

good luck tobago I agree tho, i'd rather come on than seeing a bfn, even if I now do have about 20 tests in the cupboard! (5 ultra early; 2 first response; one cb digi; 6 internet cheapie sticks! So 14 then argh). Maybe your pinky-brown stuff is implantation??

wow morefaith i do admire your willpower! Good luck, fingers crossed for you!

mampam ah I see. You got a proper mil! Mine is only a mild dose. What a nightmare for you. I'm aiming for some hand me downs seeing as all my friends have at least 2 kids and a good mix of girls and boys, but I'm lucky that both sets of parents will happily help us out. Freecycle is pretty handy too... You're the only two who can make the decision, and good luck to you in making it!

I have back ache and a great big belly! I know, whinge whinge moan moan That will be lifting small person and eating mahoosive pizza at lunchtime then

My mum said she had a phantom pregnancy once, was wondering if that was possible? To entirely convince yourself that you were and have symptoms (well, I guess we can all do that!) but to the point of your period stopping and everything...?

mampam · 19/08/2009 17:35

Switzerland....nice!

WickedWitchSouthWest · 19/08/2009 17:36

oh sorry, and welcome to the latest passengers on this triple decker of nutters!

LastTrainToNowhere · 19/08/2009 17:58

WickedWitch I think a phantom pregnancy is possible, didn't mad Queen Mary have two phantom pregnancies? Truth be told if I had to go through two pregnancies and then be told it was my imagination at the end I'd go mad too!

NancyPreg · 19/08/2009 18:00

Welcome to mummydemma and mumabee glad you've joined the fray bus!

morefaith sorry but your comment, 'I am always bang on time but by the weekend I will be over a week late' gives so much away. You are already half a week late and given that you are 'always' bang on time, you absolutely must be in line to be our second graduate ....good luck but I think you already know!

tobago how is it? Are you still tampon-free? [hopes]

mampam goodness, is your MIL working hard to fulfil the stereotype and claim her rightful place as the butt of all jokes , except it doesn't sound like much of a joke the way you describe it. Do you think a DGC would soften her up a little??

Bettymamma I have a friend who lived in CH for several years and she said it's the most child-friendly place she has ever lived (neither she nor her DH are English, both are from two different countries in fact). She told me that school-age children (even the youngest) are expected and encouraged to walk to school without a parent and that it would be frowned upon if a parent were to accompany them - is this really the case??!!
In any case, do you miss the seaside

WickedWitchSouthWest · 19/08/2009 19:20

Mad Queen Mary? Yep that sounds like my mum

Loujalou · 19/08/2009 19:57

Had af and it finished on CD3. Then had lots of CM on CD5. Can't remember if that is normal tho. Should really record it all but its a bit late in the cycle to do the temping and was away til today. Keep thinking it might have not been af but implementation bleeding. Well I like to live in hope I know its not likely.

Bought some new clearblue digi OPKs from Amazon and they were v cheap. Half price compared to Boots. So another week of shagging will soon commence.

NancyPreg · 19/08/2009 20:07

Loujalou you've somehow been missed off the bus so gimme your vitals and I'll add you on!

Better luck this cycle...

My mum's dog has phantom pregnancies all the time. And yes i forgot about Queen Mary, she went proper doolally!

I think we have done so well to while away the time with our talking whilst noone's actually getting BFPs. It's brilliant. We'll get 10 in 1 day next week!

Mampam - Switzerland - ohhhh yes, the kids walk home from school on their own from 5/6. People look out for everyone's kids here more - there's a great belief that society has a duty to bring up the kids not just the parents. So you often get interfering old bats telling you that your child should be wearing a hat but apart from that it's quite nice.

Seaside - oh yes i miss it, but they have sandy banks by the lakes here and they are so clean to swim in.

Now -what are we all doing here. Oh yes TTC. 2ww yawn!
