Anyone else with news?? Surely from all the people on this bus there will be lots of graduates - fingers crossed for everyone

Question Time....My period came Saturday and I think is about to stop. I'm only on day 3, is this an unusually short time to bleed and if so does it make any difference to when I will ovulate. A lot of you ladies seem to be very knoweledgable on all of this so I'm sure you must know. I dont really want to get in to OPK's as I am quite obsessive by nature and I think it would make me a bit more loopy than I already am

Ladylou - sorry to hear that, from someone who has been denied many times this last month, I know how frustrating it can be

Snowbunny hmmm, I would imagine that it's hormones that govern when you next ovulate but I'm not sure if a shorter bleed shortens your cycle, sorry not much help. If you don't want to use OPKS, then apart from lots of bonking, you could look out for other clues such as EWCM and any odd cramping.

MrsR let us know how you get on today at the docs..

Ladylou do you think that you've done enough this cycle to compensate for your refusnik DH? Sometimes I find it really odd to grasp that out of a (roughly) 28 day menstrual cycle, we women are fertile for, what, 24-36hrs and I think that men often fail to grasp this too because it is a bit counter-intuitive e.g. years ago, I thought that if you just had sex once at any time, then that would mean a baby would be coming in 9mth's time!

It's the old 2ww for me so nothing to report at all atm

Nancypreg - i was thinking this the other day, do you remember teachers at school seriously looking you in the eye and telling you that if you had sex during your AF that you'd get pg. Yeah right! on a 8 day cycle maybe???

Though apparently, there was a girl at school who got pg without sex. It involved a bit of fumbiling. She was called Mary forever after that....

Hi ladies,

So I'm not sure if this month will be the one -but for a strange reason.

Last month my DP told me he could smell on my breath that I was about to get my period. Six days later I did.
Just now (we both work from home) I asked him if he could smell anything on my breath again and he said he had actually wondered about it this morning, but not anything right now. So of course I'm freaking out. I'll breathe on him again tomorrow morning.

He says a lot of men can smell on a woman's breath that she's about to get her period, which at first I was a bit at.

Anyone else heard of this?

I dont know if we have done enough to be honest. I always thought I ovulated later on in my cycle, which is about now according to the ovulation calendar, but with all the cramps I had around day 7-10, Im wondering if I ovulated then. If thats the case , then I know we had to shag sessions around then, but if it is now like the calender says so, then Im plain out of luck.

DH and I have had 3 days off together, and though he says he wants to spend time together, he seems more inclined to sit watching TV and be arsey in his attitude. Maybe he is on his period? Not sure it should be like this in second month of marriage?

have'nt heard that one ImmaterialGirl but DH always asks me if i'm on a day before i actually get my period,he says i act all weird and go all with drawn,maybe men know more about our bodies than we do?
I have also done shoulder stands this month medee it worked last two times

IG that's a new one on me! Perhaps your DH has a particularly cunning sense of smell?! It sounds as though he was a bit more unsure this time around so perhaps your luck is in this cycle...

IG - your dh could make a fortune out of his talent! I have heard of this before but never known anyone who can actually pick up on it. I know some men can smell when you're actually on your AF (gross). I had a colleague at work who said he can smell the difference. Bizarre.

Ladylou - i found the 1st year of marriage the most difficult. EVen though we'd been together for years, we had ideas about how marriage was going to be and when things didn't live up to our expectations we got really moody with one another. 2nd year was alot easier etc etc !

I've worked out if i'm pg (no signs, i don't believe it - i refuse to symptom spot) then i'm due May 5th and if i tested it wouldn't be until end of next week so i think we have to wait a while for May's BFP's. Anyone getting one now is going to be due April yes??? I'm shite at maths so i might be wrong??

Yeah your right Bettymamma, although due to my last cycle being 37 days i could be due either month if i am could'nt i? Still will cross that bridge if i come to it!

Hi Ladylou83,hope you don't think i'm ignoring you,we seem to post at the same time!
My DH needed lots of training for the first couple of months,i'm sure he'll get better good luck
