best of luck pinkmushroom
this will be the lucky one!

NotaGoddess · 12/08/2009 00:03

sweetkitty, dont despair there is hope you wont get spd, although Ive only got 2 not three I had horrific spd with ds1. when pg with ds2, worried myself silly about it for the first 4 months as ds's quite close in age and was worried I wouldnt be able to cope. by miracle, it never happened!

did you see anyone about it(other than dr/physio?

I saw a chiropractor and although it didnt go away, it helped reduce the sheer pain-alot.

I also had PUPPS with ds1, but not with ds2(??) weird, but that, the spd and all pregnancy sickness drove me bonkers

If pg I'll be hoping for another ds2 pregnancy!!

sky27 · 12/08/2009 08:48

Fingers crossed I get a positive OPK today. If I do it's a ten day LP. If not LPD or no ov

Good luck everyone, anymore BFPs?

LastTrainToNowhere · 12/08/2009 08:56

I see I didn't make a drunken fool of myself online last night. Will wonders never cease? Well, that's the last binge I have, it's TTC in earnest now.

Any BFPs today? Good luck to everyone testing and to everyone ovulating

sweetkitty · 12/08/2009 09:43

Notagoddess - thanks but it's a given I will get SPD had it in all 3 pregnancies from 12-15 weeks each time. Last time though and they are so worth it.

Nothing on OPKs here yet either

lucylev · 12/08/2009 10:01

Morning all,

what a great thread

Well My first two week wait begins today, the last few days lots of BD so fingers crossed! any positive signs i could be looking out for and am i right in thinking i can test first day after day of missed period?

MrsRigby · 12/08/2009 10:17

Morning everyone

I've now come to the realisation that I either have cancer of the womb or I'm pregnant .

Last night I actually managed to convince myself for about 40 minutes that I was neither, though I still sat on the couch with DH with my hands on my tummy.

I'm enjoying the quiet at the moment, DS has finally decided he wants to sleep, probably only got 40 minutes, but that's better than nothing. At least I can now grab 1/2 cup of very weak coffee (have stopped all caffine aside from this and as soon as I am proved right in my diagnosis of pregnancy then I will stop all together) and some toast.

Last night DH and I were supposed to be having sex, but he said he was too tired - even though he got an erection (sorry TMI). So we never did it. I mean SERIOUSLY how the hell does he think babies are conceived . All I got out of him last night and this morning was apology after apology and "my fishies stay around for 5 days don't they".

I couldn't sleep last night, well I did but it took me a good 2 hours to get to that point. Thinking over and over, what if I have already ovulated and we've missed another chance, what if tomorrow is too late. We're trying for a baby, but we've only had sex twice since starting last Saturday.

Anyway...

MrsRigby · 12/08/2009 10:33

DS is sucking on the packet of Pregnacare tablets , I won't take them away from him as he'll scream the house down and I have a headache - besides he's now accepting mashed food with lumps in and the vitamins can only do him good.

Oh wait no, he's now fiddling about with DH new blu-ray DVD player. We got the black one (I'm not being racist, I just wanted it to match the TV which is black and also a Samsung). It's the one that has the flip down thing that covers the buttons. We thought brilliant, this is for us, this will stop DS playing with the buttons. Only DS isn't bothered about the buttons, DS loves the flap and the flap on the Sky+ box covering the card.

Can we all please take a minute of silence for the DVD player and the Sky+ box.

Okay, he's now on to the metformin tablets (for any PCOS women, I'm on 850mg bd). On a happy note he's now relinqished the pregnacare tablets. Just goes to show that DS didn't inherit my genes and that men are inept at doing 2 things at once.

Bettymamma · 12/08/2009 11:23

Ohhh Mrs Rigby you make me smile! . By the way do fishies really stay for 5 days???

Sweetkitty you are very brave.

So i guess we were all bding last night??

ImmaterialGirl · 12/08/2009 11:39

sky I'm crossing fingers and toes and everything for you today. Bring on the +ive!! But could it also be that your cycle will simply be longer this month?

MrsRigby Hopefully I'll have a similar morning scenario in a few years time...

and Bettymamma that's a conversation-starter question right there!

But to answer you, yes, I did!

pigleychez · 12/08/2009 12:08

Hello all, Can I buy a bus ticket please... Hopefully for just a few stops

I have a 12mth old DD and just decided to try for DC2... Very excited

Waves to SK

Cannot for the life of me remember all the codes ect... can someone kindly remind me. Thanks ladies

sky27 · 12/08/2009 12:54

Thanks Immaterialgirl It could be a longer cycle because i'm recently off bc pills. Getting slight cramps and lots of EWCM TMI I know.

MrsRigby You make me laugh, it's nice to have the positiveness but also the down to earth attitude.

Welcome Pigleychez

Loujalou · 12/08/2009 13:08

Just wish af would properly come along just so I can stop obsessing. Well I rather it wouldn't but am having some bleeding (just a small amount) but think its af as that is what usually happens before it starts.

MrsRigby · 12/08/2009 13:29

DS is napping again - yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee (please if there is any god let it be 2 hours).

Bettymamma yes, sperm can survive in the uterus for about 5 days. The egg on the other hand .

ImmaterialGirl I have everything crossed for you - aside from the fallopian tubes that is, I kind of need them at the moment. Sorry if that's a little selfish.

Loujalou I was thinking the exact same thing last night and then it hit me, I have sodding PCOS, AF might never come along. I'll just test at the end of September. I'll probably be on about 5 threads by then.

Currently dividing my time between the April and May bus, so if you think you've heard it before - you have

MrsRigby · 12/08/2009 13:33

Welcome Pigleychez and good luck.

All the acronyms/abbreviations can be found at the top of this page or click on this mumsnet.com/info/acronyms .

Loujalou · 12/08/2009 13:38

Good luck Mrs Rigby. Your posts did make me laugh. My 16 mth old DS had found all sorts of tablets that had fallen out of DH's jeans. Think DH might be more careful from now on. Then again he is a man.

MrsRigby · 12/08/2009 13:52

Loujalou I started getting worried before thinking DS had taken a tablet as he was drooling like mad, sticking his tongue out, throwing his head back and waving his arms in the air - and then it hit me, he was hungry. He was 18 minutes late having his lunch as I was doing the Ocado order .

Oh god he's crying. Bye, bye everyone...

SnowBunny1 · 12/08/2009 13:56

Now I'm depressed, it seems I'm the only one ttc but not ttc if you get what I mean

DH still hasn't thawed out since the episode at the weekend, when he announced that "we're more seeing what happens than ttc". Well I can tell him exactly what will happen at this rate....NOTHING!!!

Don't pay any attention to me I'm just jealous of all you hot ladies bding your nights away whilst I have come to a bit of a dead end.

Welcome pigleychez

Is anyone testing soon?

sayanything · 12/08/2009 14:00

Hi Zayja, sorry I didn't reply earlier, I'm on hols so with limited access to the internet.
No, haven't POAS, as we haven't really BD this month - I had a chemical pregnancy, lots of bleeding on and off for a couple of weeks, so not really in the mood plus I don't think I OV. That's why I'm actually eagerly anticipating AF now (she's 1 day late hrmph!), so things can go back to normal (fingers crossed).

Good luck to those on TWW!

zayja · 12/08/2009 14:38

So sorry sayanything, I didn't realize you were coming off that experience. I do understand as I had a MMC in late Apr. and it took 6w for AF to return and I was so impatient. Also, since then I've had a somewhat irregular cycle - makes TTC rough!

Well, forget that junk, enjoy your hols and here's to getting back to normal ASAP

Spirael · 12/08/2009 14:38

Hi all, just to let you know I am still here, lurking around!

I'm testing relatively soon, SnowBunny1. I'm in my TWW currently, and AF is due at the beginning of next week... So I'm currently thinking that I might risk one of my cheapy Tesco BOGOF tests on Saturday morning. (Then maybe Sunday, Monday, Tuesday...)

I keep swinging between tentatively thinking it could be positive, then five minutes later I'm absolutely sure it won't. I guess mostly because I really don't feel any different from normal, but then I have no idea whether or not I am meant to feel any different, as this would be my first time!

Possible symptoms I've spotted include random stomach twinges and a bit of constipation (maybe I just ate something funny?), a random emotional outburst of the type I'd expect just before AF (maybe she's coming early or I was just tired?) and feeling generally tired and hungry (I'm probably just being lazy and greedy. :P).

So yeah... I really have no idea! I think I ovulated on either day 10 or day 14, which'd put me at either 12 dpo or 8 dpo, respectively, I think? I managed to make sure both were duly covered in the BD schedule my poor DH has been forced to adhere to, so I'm tentatively optimistic.

Is anyone else testing this weekend??

MrsRigby · 12/08/2009 15:28

NO, but I don't need a pregnancy test because I know I'm pregnant.

You just reminded me Spirael of an early pregnancy symptom I had with DS, feeling hungry. I've woken up the past 2 days feeling hungry and in fact DH has made a note of my stomach gurgling. Also the last 2 days I've woken up with a headache, but I didn't have them with my last pregnancy.

I have had cramp like sensations for a couple of days, I think this was the fertilised egg implanting .

LastTrainToNowhere · 12/08/2009 17:06

Aw snowbunny. Time to break out some Ann Summers maybe? That ought to thaw mr. snowbunny nice and proper

spirael I do that too. Last month I'd convinced myself I was pregnant the morning after we BD. Then I convinced myself I couldn't possibly be. And I went back and forth like that for two loooong weeks before AF came. Just realised I'll be that madwoman again this month. Oh, joy

MrsRigby · 12/08/2009 17:26

SnowBunny1 don't worry your not alone, although DH and I are TTC, we've only had sex twice since Saturday. Last night he was complaining of feeling tired so we didn't BD. Initially he phrased TTC in the same way "lets have unprotected sex and see what happens", but soon after I hit him over the head with the frying pan he started to tell friends that we were TTC.

SnowBunny1 if you haven't got a frying pan a wok will do.

Whoever coined the phrase that violence doesn't solve anything was talking shite .

boodleboot · 12/08/2009 17:57

how many days past ovulation will there be enough hormone in your wee to test? or is that not how it works with the testing thing....
