MrsKate · 28/07/2009 16:29

aww cupcake i really know how you are feeling big hugs

on the positive side . ive got this BFP after 3 cycles and gracie did the same must be a luck number after mc

cupcakefairy · 28/07/2009 16:35

Thanks sorry, I just had to come on here and vent or I was going to cry looking at that pic! At least now I know never to post a scan pic on facebook; I never know who I might be making cry!

I really hope you're right Kate! And annie to the boobs! Love the idea of hoping sewing mailbags together for you

Waves to moon so glad you are looking ahead with a bit of a smile

OP posts:
BlueMoon1981 · 28/07/2009 17:57

annie i already have E cups so goodness knows what will happen to mine when i get far enough along when i'm next pg! they grew at an alarming rate just with being 12 weeks pg.

cupcake its horrible isn't it, i have 3 pg ladies at work and 1 pg friend, it feels like you are the only person in the world not to be pg and it hurts like hell like you say, at least we now know to be considerate about it next time. it will happen for you

bluesatinsash · 28/07/2009 19:38

Oh cupcake - its shit when that happens. I do think there's something really, I don't know, vain about posting scan pics on FB . Its like flaunting it to all and sundry. Its different here as its a parenting site with everyone having a vested interest and you can choose whether to look or not but FB is so in your face, grr. Three cycles here for me too post-2nd mc so fingers crossed for this month, I do have a feeling for you my lovely .

Annie - at boobage size. Really hope they've reached their peak. Did have a small at your mail bag reference. Thought anymore about names now you know the flavour ?

Moon - lovely to hear from you and sounding so upbeat and positive, the weeks will fly in and you'll be POAS before you know it. Get the wine/pate in while you still can .

Neeko - bad mummy over here too. I sometimes sneak on here when DS is watching Ben 10 . But really watching Ben 10 copious times is enough to make you turn to gin of a morning - aaargh.

Neeko · 28/07/2009 19:50

Cupcake Sorry to hear about your facebook misery. My advice is to give up Facebook. Well seen I'm not a member. I got my BFP on my 3rd cycle too. fingers crossed for you honey.

annie OMG that's so going to be me too. I'm straining out my 34Es already. Do you think a wheelbarrow for bump and boobs would be a good pg look?

Blue Glad to hear you're a bad mummy too and you're right - MN makes us better mummies than drink would!

Moon so happy to hear you sounding so upbeat. Hope the weeks fly past til your BFP. By the way what did you bake? I could just go a cake so please share!

Mrskate how are you feeling today?

BlueMoon1981 · 28/07/2009 20:05

neeko i made bounty cake choccy cake with choc chips, vanilla butter icing and desiccated coconut on top! haven't tried it yet as only just had our tea. thinking of being totally disgusting and having ice cream with it too!

Neeko · 28/07/2009 20:07

Oh wow. That sounds amazing. When will they develop technology when you can really share things like that through cyberspace??

BlueMoon1981 · 28/07/2009 20:15

found the recipe on the internet and thought it was about time i made a cake! if i could send you a piece i would, although i'd have to make a few more to share with everyone else on here! i bet one day you will be able to teleport stuff, technology moves an amazing pace these days, watch this space!

Neeko · 28/07/2009 20:25

If that happens I'll be nagging you to make another one!

GracieGirl · 28/07/2009 20:51

Evening all. Getting slightly stressed now about going back to work tomorrow after having 6 and a half weeks off. Also it seems no one knows what I'll be doing yet. I start at 7:30am tomorrow as I have a three hour meeting first thing, that bit's no trouble as been going to that every month for 3 years. Hopefully I'll be back in the swing of things by then. I don't even know what to take with me, or where to put it. Nurses uniforms have magic pockets where you can carry about 20 things round all day in them. I now have no pockets. You can guarantee that no one will know where the key to the spare office is and there'll still be no furniture, computer or phone in it.

Cupcake I agree its very strange announcing pregnancies on facebook. Have a big hug.

Moon and neeko - I've gone off cake at the min - can I steal some coconut off the top?

Neeko · 28/07/2009 20:59

Gracie Try not to stress. If there's no furniture then you can't be expected to do any work surely? You're obviously going to have to invest in a work handbag or a big comfy pregnancy cardigan with huge pockets. Try to focus on why you are doing this and not let it stress you. Think of all the weeknights in front of the telly and wekkends off preparing for your lo.

bluesatinsash · 28/07/2009 21:13

Gracie - let's hope they've thought ahead and at least got you a desk! Us office rats tend to have desk tidys where we keep our stuff some even have gonks and such like but I'm quite minimilist . I wear badge round neck and have office key hanging off it. If you get on the PC and are bored out your brains, email me I'm on nhs.net and you know my RL name from your snazzy table.

Just spoke to MLS on FB, I was missing her!

Moon - your recipes sound d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s!

Off to get foot rub off DH downstairs, its as racey as we get these days...

cupcakefairy · 28/07/2009 21:47

Ooh blue you lucky girl! I would switch this incessant bd for a foot rub ha, just kidding, I'm actually quite enjoying the bd which is one good thing about ttc I suppose!

Hope all goes ok tomorrow Gracie...you might be bored but as neeko says, it's all for a good cause!

Curly thinking of you tomorrow my lovely.

Moon That cake does sound amazing! Was it? DH and I made an amazing cake the other day - it's just ordinary sponge, but you put a few dollops of lemon curd on top of the mixture once it's in the tin and sprinkle fresh raspberries on it then stick it in the oven...the lemon curd kind of spreads out through the cake and it is just DELICIOUS.

Thanks for all your lovely comments girls...really hoping that magic 3rd cycle applies here!

OP posts:
GracieGirl · 28/07/2009 21:56

Thanks for your encouragement Neeko, Cupcake and Blue. I probably will email you Blue as there isn't even a mobile signal except in the toilet so can't even text, I'm sure I will get Mumsnet withdrawal symptoms!

Right I'm off to bed for a good nights sleep before work!

cupcakefairy · 28/07/2009 22:00

Night Gracie you'll have to go to the loo to get a text update on Curly!

OP posts:
BlueMoon1981 · 28/07/2009 22:45

cupcake the cake was GORGEOUS! very sickly but very lovely and i had 2 scoops of chocolate ice cream with it too

barbie1 · 29/07/2009 04:33

Good morning girls..

Just popping on to say good luck curly not that you will need it of course ill pop back later to check...

gg hope your first day at work flys by for you...and the next 27 weeks go equally as fast

cupcake hang in there girl....it took me 9 cycles to fall this time, and that was without having proper af. least your body is working better than mine ever was so i get a good feeling that it wont be long for you!

blue clever you at making cakes...i had another craving for a cornish pasty the other day, which is just the worse thing to crave due to not being able to get anything remotely like it over here, so i made 6 of them 3 for each of us...the thing is they were so nice i ate one and a half for my dinner and then the other half at 9am the next morning i just cant stop eating...dh thinks its soooo funny.

annie big ( . ) ( . ) i hope they dont grow to much more for you! the bigger you get the uglier the bra's get!!!!

blue i would love a foot massage the good thing about managering a spa is the fact i no longer have to do treatments but can demand the girls prove they are up to standard by practicing on me might have to use that trick today....

neeko how are you holding up my lovely? you dont seem to be obessesing as much as i did in the ealry days...wishing you a long chilled out pregnancy...

blue cant wait til tues to get to see your bump and baby! gosh half way there already...seems like an age away for me.

mrskate how are you? and how did dh react with the news? hope the back aches eases soon

Went to the cinema last night to see harry potter, my first one never got into it but dh has seen them all and wanted too....it wasnt so bad, might even watch the next one was really uncomfortable sitting so long though and when i got up i had a stabbing pain down one side, hurt so much i let out a gasp and sunk back on the seat, poor dh didnt know what had happened. Panicked for a while but then thought it was probably due to the way i was sitting and the fact i had eaten a meal right before going in...not enough room for everything to be comfortable...anyone else ever had anything similar??? .yesterday i felt bad all day, one of the worse days i have had...all good signs so im not moaning but why oh why couldnt i feel like that pre scan and save myself a fortune by the way i had to pay up front this time and claim the money back, nearly dropped dead in shock at the £652 bill that was for a full scan (£125) and a round of blood test..
Have to pay another (£125) next week for my 12 week scan and then if i want further test for downs etc that will be on top...im starting to save all my loose change now

Have a good day everyone xxx

GracieGirl · 29/07/2009 06:29

Morning! Who's silly idea was it to go back to work???? the 5:50am alarm nearly killed me! Something to do with having been awake most of the night. will someone text me what time Curly's scan is so I know when to sneak out to the loo lots to check for texts.

Barbie stabbing pains - yes that was what I had from week 5-9 all the time, and I had it again the night before last just to remind me what it feels like.

Right just drying my hair then off to work. Bye!

MrsKate · 29/07/2009 08:06
