Afternoon all
barbie so glad everything was fine today (apart from the dog situation obviously!) and I agree it's about time you, Gracie and Curly hopped into those stretchy pans

buddha also v glad everything went well for you - yay for baby shopping! And thanks for getting those pompoms ready for me. Maybe you could all get into a pyramid formation and scare af away

Kate sorry you're feeling rough but yay for symptoms! Neeko are you still feeling quite green as well?

OP posts:
cupcakefairy · 09/08/2009 14:43

stretchy pans? what are those cupcake??
I think you all know what I meant!

OP posts:
cupcakefairy · 09/08/2009 14:44

Ooh and apologies for the triple post but meant to ask, iggy are you planning on testing this week? When would you be expecting af?

OP posts:
barbie1 · 09/08/2009 14:49

cupcake are you sure you havent got pregnancy hormones... talking to yourself is one sign!

cupcakefairy · 09/08/2009 14:52

Afternoon all! Just had a text from Curly, she sends her love to everyone, she's enjoying her holiday but missing her internet access!

Just been to my Mum's for bacon sandwiches in the garden - yummy!

VJaybigpants · 09/08/2009 16:54

blue I remember saying you would be up here sometime in August, I will email you my mobile in a mo. At the moment I have no car as dh's is off the road, it is planned to be fixed this week, so all being well I will be able to get to Inverness

gracie bacon butties yummy yum yum

Spent all afternoon in bed with period like cramps and tiredness, ds stayed with me for a while then went and popped a dvd on, he's being so good . Last time I was induced so have no idea what going into labour is like, so any advice from you lovelies that have done this naturally before would be great

bluesatinsash · 09/08/2009 17:31

oooh Vjay period type cramps - that's how labour started for me with DS!!!! Just got your email , will txt you our whereabouts, we can come to you if that makes things easier (not that I'm inviting myself or anything )or meet in a local-to-you cafe to save you going into Inverness.

Cupcake - LOL at mental image of big panters doing a cheerleader formation - bagsy not be at the bottom of that pyramid!

Hi Annie - good to see you! Any more name ideas?

VJaybigpants · 09/08/2009 17:37

Lol blue you can invite yourself round that's fine
I would say we could strolld down the beach but you might try and throw me back in
My sil said she's never seen a bump so big and doesn't know how I manage to stay standing up...well I don't that's why I spend most afternoons lying down .

anniebigpants · 09/08/2009 18:34

Blue-We have a name picked but will probably have a couple as stand by,s incase DS2 doesnt suit his name, or turns out to be a DD instead-lol! Our current favourite name is Ellis ,and Charles for middle name after my dearly loved and missed late father.

OOh VJay, this could be the start of it for you! I too, have no idea what going into labour is like as with DS waters went first but no contractions, had to be induced next day.

Have a bit of a dilema, its my best friend's 30th birthday end of October, and her mum is planning a trip away down to Blackpool to watch Funny Girls just for Saturday to Sunday, i really want to go but i,ll be 35 weeks pregnant then. DH says i am mad to even consider it, he doesnt mind me going if that is what i want, but he says its a long way to be away from home if i go into labour.
Do you wise ladies think i should give it a miss, or go and have fun??

Neeko · 09/08/2009 20:17

Evening all.

Barbie yay for another good scan. you MUST be feeling a bit more confident now.

Vjay I have a feeling you won't be posting for a few days and Blue will be meeting our cyber nephew in person Cramps was my first symptom with DD too. I'm soo excited. I can't join in the bid for texting as I'll be back at work by then and the new term is when I'm my most conscientious I guarantee I'll be blubbing when we hear your lovely news though

Buddha yay for baby shopping - spend lots before you lose your nerve. Thanks for the dreams as symptoms comment

Blue you sound so relaxed and happy since your scan. It's lovely.

annieSorry my sensible head says you should stay home. You've fought too hard for this lo for your DH and DS to miss out, but please feel free to ignore me!

MrsKate Yay for nice strong symptoms.

Cupcake TUESDAY???? You've moved it back a day and I can't wait that long!

I had another wobble yesterday due to lack of symptoms Cue excessive knicker checking and very irrational behaviour I was convinced it was game over for me and in a couple of days I'd have brown spotting like last time to signal MMC. However, today I have felt queasy ALL DAY so wobble seems to be over for now.
I go back to work on Friday and have a very busy week ahead so I may not be on as often. I'll be thinking of you all constantly lots though. Please someone text me exciting news such as Cupcake's BFP

bakingqueen · 09/08/2009 21:27

Vjay! So excited for you if this is the beginning (but you probably don't feel ready!) My friend at work had a massive bump and her ds arrived 12 days early

VJaybigpants · 10/08/2009 16:25

neeko your wobbles are so very normal. I had so many of them in the early days, here is my hand to help you through them

The cramps just seem to come and go. Bought a moses basket today, wasn't going to bother, but we are running out of time to get the room done that will fit the cot. so moses basket it is. My sore nipples are back now, haven't had that symptom since the early days. but I get sharp pains in them, I suppose it's everything getting ready. I hope it happens soon

barbie1 · 10/08/2009 16:59

vjay i hope it happens soon for you too

Very quiet here today.....i had to go and buy bacon which cost nearly £6 just because of all of you i hope its as good i want it to be when i eat it in a minute!

iggy what are you going to buy????

i had a little more bleeding yesterday but it was my fault because i finally gave into dh and did the deed! bless him its been weeks (tmi) the doctor did warn me it could happen due to a sensitive uterus and the placenta stuff but boy does it make your heart stop for a while...

Its gone now and dh has been banished from my side of the bed until i give birth for at least a few more weeks...

Neeko · 10/08/2009 18:29

Hi all.
Cupcake You've gone very quiet today Hope the evil witch has stayed away and you're not having a meltdown in the corner somewhere.

Vjay Thanks for the hand to hold. Much appreciated though I think you'll need it back very soon to hold your new DS. Babies are so cute in a moses basket.

bakingqueen thanks for your comment too. i hope you are well.

MrsKate we're going back to work on the same day. Boo for working but yay for pay

Iggy I hope you buy something like shoes or a handbag that you won't grow out of in a few months

Barbie how was the bacon sarnie? Cheese is my thing at the moment. You and your DH will just have to be more inventive

Neeko · 10/08/2009 18:30

Oops meant to say a big hello to everyone else. Whatever you're doing to keep you away, I hope it's fun

bakingqueen · 10/08/2009 18:40

Hello all is it just me or has it been very quiet here recently?

Not symptom spotting especially with 15 more days before I can test but came home and devoured a ton of peas from the garden - strange as not eaten peas for about 20 years! [puzzled face]don't know why but just had to eat them craving now gone thankfully as not many left now! The plant looking a bit bare!

Hope your all well today x

Neeko · 10/08/2009 18:55

They do say you crave the things your body needs so maybe it's a symptom? Fingers crossed.

bluesatinsash · 10/08/2009 19:06

Evening All,

Neeko - here's my hand too. The early weeks are such a test to your sanity, its so hard when your default setting is preparing for bad news . Not long 'til your scan and although its boo that your back at work on Friday, it will keep you busy and the next 4 weeks will fly in.

Barbie - my DH hasn't had any action since mid-April . Just too terrified and also lost my mojo big time. There are other ways to skin a cat though as it were so he doesn't explode .

Vjay - moses baskets are sooo cute. Your body certainly sounds like its gearing up for labour . We've confirmed our stay in Elgin so will text you Friday so see if your still around on Sat!

Iggy and Cupcake - sending another batch of babydust your way

All threads seem to be quiet just now, think its the time of year - hols, good weather (!) etc.

mermaidspurse · 11/08/2009 07:40

just creeping into the shell that was my kitchen before cheerful mad builders turn up.
ohh vjaymegapants so close now

My ds birthday is on saturday and he was 2 weeks early and is a lovely smiley laid back Leo - I reckon you are going to pop any minute

blue hope your norks are back to normal, if anything feels normal these days! Glad you are having some lovely family time.

barbie please be carefulx

cupcake fingers crossed lots xx

iggy hope back to work is not to grim after strutting your stuff in court.

jools Thinking of you often lovely toned goddess lady. It must e nearly time for your test results? hope the back is recovering, your dh is happy and that your cats have not cost you an arm and a leg like mine did last week... scale and blinking polish honestly only I could have a cat who needs his teeth literally flossed

4ever hope the wedding was fab with lovely weather. so keeping my fingers crossed for your tests and all the other bits and piecesxxxxxxxxx

neeko Mrskate* gracie glad that you are all ok, hang in there time is sloooowly ticking alongx

opps better go jolly green giant will be here in a mo - hopefully I wil get running water today and my dishwasher swoon, idolise and stoke daily forever
