See you soon. The bar's open!

Cosmo - yes it does have a rather special ring to it. Although I'm leaning towards Fanny Gusset for that chic old-lady feel (nb not smell).

My mum does tie herself in knots ont he mums-having-rights-to-life thing as she childminds my neice specifically to give my sister a change to have an external outlet. This apparently does not apply when your childminder is not a primary schoolteacher able to give one-to-one tuition blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.

She also believes that fathers are not as good as mothers despite clear evidence that my dh is far less likely to feed child chips/drop on head/leave in supermarket trolley/teach drinking songs/wipe up vomit without vomiting etc etc.

We are so going to fall out over this.

VeryAngryGusset · 06/08/2009 12:32

er - whoops - should be chance, not change. Note to self: angry typing is not accurate typing.

idealcamel · 06/08/2009 13:24

vag What a grumpy-making conversation with your ma. Mine is terribly feminist, and went back to work about a month after having me. And I'm an only child. And while I have real over-achieving girl issues - spending too much time trying to be perfect etc etc - I DID NOT suffer from my mother working. I would have suffered far more from a very bored mother at home demanding my attention all the time.

Both my parents were teachers before they retired. Some correlation between that and gin, perhaps?

ginsterspasty Sounds like you're doing alright at motherhood and business, even if you're feeling guilty about it.

chEGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGERS Well done with the harvest

Cosmosis · 06/08/2009 14:09

VAG I suppose it depends whether you have a boy or girl. Cum is defnitely a boys name I think.

Cosmosis · 06/08/2009 14:18

A thought when passing the fancy cake shop next to my office. Do you think i should commission them to make a cake resembling a shrivelled ovary for the upcoming BOD??

I think it could be quite a talking point.

NeedChoos · 06/08/2009 14:51

ooohh you could go all out and choccy wokky do dah to do a cake in a gothic theme a la Gin Palace with shrivelled ovaries instead of cherubs..
www.choccywoccydoodah.com/#items

and put the choc willies in the party bags..
www.choccywoccydoodah.com/#items

Think they are very civilised with the little blue flowers...

NeedChoos · 06/08/2009 15:43

Helllooo - didn't think the willies were that bad ??

idealcamel · 06/08/2009 16:17

I'm afeered of the phallus.

Probably why I'm not updiffed yet.

idealcamel · 06/08/2009 16:19

New thread names are clearly necessary

Mid 30's TTC - Palais de Gin Three: This time it's personal

Cosmosis · 06/08/2009 16:46

I can't get the site to load I'll try again from home. It's a bit funny at work because all our IT is based in Belgium so I get funny results on some sites.

I'll order a cake and some willies for the Gin Palace Mark 3 opening night bash.

Oh and perhaps some willy shaped straws for that added touch of class

donttrythisathome · 06/08/2009 16:52

Oh don't forget about the TTC AND up-diffed in the new thread title for the karma and all that (and for moi of course...)

ChEGGs sounds like you've laid well missus, great news.

NeedChoos · 06/08/2009 16:53

Mid 30' TTC and artists formally known as BESH TTC - Gin Palace and Spa Resort

Cosmosis · 06/08/2009 16:53

Palais de Gin Trois surely?? Us being all kultured and that.

NeedChoos · 06/08/2009 16:56

I like the willy straws - still makes me laugh when you see Pink Hummers coming in to Brighton with a screech of girls drinking WKD with Willy Straws

"a Screech" - collective name for pissed under 21's

idealcamel · 06/08/2009 16:57

Mid-30s TTC (now with added updiffedness)--Palais de Gin Trois: The search for the right hole

VeryAngryGusset · 06/08/2009 17:05

Lovin "The search for the right hole"

skihorse · 06/08/2009 17:06

camel I adore both your suggestions but I'm confused, "right" hole? I knew I should never have got together with a sailor.

donttrythisathome · 06/08/2009 17:37

Oh no Choos has spotted me and ma bitches around Brightontown

Like the last name suggestion.

NeedChoos · 06/08/2009 18:01

Class Donttry!!

Have you got a pink cowboy hat or bunny ears?

RunLyraRun · 06/08/2009 18:11

Err hello, Mid-30s SWI, surely? And I reeeaaallly want the spa in there:

Mid-30s SWI (now with added updiffedness)-Palais de Gin (and Spa Resort) Trois: the search for the right hole

Prone to overcomplicating things, us? Mais non.

I'm off to Kenya tomorrow lushes, so I'll see you on the 22nd (I will probably miss the whole of the next thread at the rate you go!)

And you know what happens when I get back....eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkk

donttrythisathome · 06/08/2009 18:20

Shrivelled ovaries head boppers.

donttrythisathome · 06/08/2009 18:21

(that's to Lyra)

NeedChoos · 06/08/2009 20:08

ha ha - I remember them - deedley boppers!!!

If we go French does that mean we go from S&M styley Dungeon to ornate renaissance finery a la Palace of Versailles!!

oooohhh will we have staff to deal with the POAS and serve drink and canapes??

skihorse · 06/08/2009 20:25

I lived in a Francophone area until last August. The lady across the road from me never, ever, EVER had a baby bump and suddenly I noticed one day she had a baby in a pram. A braaaaaahn baby! In Europe you're still allowed to adopt outside your race - especially if you steal them from your colony.

If we go french, none of us can go above a size 10 even full-term, we will also need to return to work 5 days post-partum but then, and this is the good bit - no interaction with said child until graduation!

SkaterGrrrrl · 06/08/2009 21:15

No way - my wedding cake was from choccywoccydoodah! They make seriously camp confectionery, you can buy a chocolate Kylie and of course the chocolate willies.

extreme that list of names is quite um, something, can I have first dibbs on Homo, a fine name for a son. What could possible go wrong?

My mum is also a primary school teacher and as far from a feminist as it is possible to be...

Good luck with your bakers dozen, cheggers and have fun in Kenya Lyra! Stroke a leopard on the nose for me.
