Unlucky, extremesitting. How crappy. I'll join you in a Mount Gay and coke.

Well done longwee and mrlongwee! Jealous but very happy for you. Must be a headfuck, right?

PMSL at VAGs cognitive dissonance, as a Libra I know the feeling. Make up your mind, woman!

Scorpette your MIL sounds like a bit of a nightmare foodwise. My sister is a vegetarian and her MIL cant get over it, acts like it's the weirdest, most lunatic fringe choice a person could make! When my sister goes round there MIL buys her lots of (nice) Waitrose veggie ready meals and makes a big deal about providing an extra option at the dinner table, while my sister quietly points out she'd be quite happy to just have the roast dinner minus the roast ie all the vegetables.

Tough one huh? I'm sure Mr Scorp is worth it though!

Cosmosis, SkaterBoy and I have one week a year when we are the same age, then I overtake him!

Cosmosis · 03/08/2009 16:55

Yeah, I am back being the old one on sunday skater. Sigh.

extreme glad to see normal service has resumed. Still in the dressing gown?? I hope so.

skihorse · 03/08/2009 16:56

jailbait and I won't even ever be in the same decade, we can't even say "when we're in our 40s" without one of us dissolving in to giggles.

extremesitting · 03/08/2009 17:08

Had to lose the damn dressing gown to go buy the test!!! Grrr!!!

With the food thing, I LOVE when I have a person with food allergies OR vegetarians to dinner. I get right into it! Only downside is that I refuse to make lots of separate meals, so if one person has specific needs, we ALL have specific needs. Get over it nut loaf loving carnivores! Or something along those lines ...

SkaterGrrrrl · 03/08/2009 17:13

DH is a year younger than me, but much more mature. He has a pension and everything!

He's the oldest (responsible) child in his family and Im the youngest (babied) one in my family so he tends to take care of me even though Im older.

NeedChoos · 03/08/2009 17:49

Evening! Congrats to the up diffed longwee, Marvelous news!

I have some news too, (ahem) as of today, MrC and I are SWI!!

How's that for decisive!

VeryAngryGusset · 03/08/2009 17:50

Fussy eaters etc: Reminds me of Xmas with in-laws (at theirs) where MIL cooked brussel sprouts with chestnuts. Complete waste since the only sproutfan at the table was the one with a nut allergy (ie me). Xmas with anyone other than DH made me grumpy enough, then to be denied sprouts and watch everyone else pull faces at them..... Grrr. Then we all sat and watched South Park The Movie with Granny. That was pleasant. Especially the Satan-gay-sex scenes. I blame Canada.

VeryAngryGusset · 03/08/2009 17:52

NeedChoos - are you sure? cos, well, it's a really big step. It isn't reversible, you know. Life will never be the same again.

Heh - sorry - just yanking your chain - Hooray - welcome to TCC proper! It's a mindfuck! You'll love it!

ginhag · 03/08/2009 17:52

extreme don't beat yourself up over the early testing thing.for some insane reason I did about 10 (kid you not) before RTOD this month.

And I get extra stupid points as I knew I wasn't pg (just wanted to be wrong)and I've been pg twice before so no excuses at all really...

Apart from being an utter twat - so I'm basing my defence on that.

Update from planet gin - ican't deal with properly obsessing with ttc anymore,I'll end up having a total breakdown.sooooo

am reverting to the 'plan' I had back when I got pg with mani.lots of drinking, very little obsessing over right days (just a vague idea that lots of sex in middle of cycle=good, making plans that don't involve being pg and absolutely NO testing before the crimson tide...

It's that or a straitjacket for me.

Sept will be out anyway,as my vaguely possibly good ttc time will be spent on a boat,on the Ionian, with fella, mani and my folks.not a nookie situation.

VeryAngryGusset · 03/08/2009 17:52
ginhag · 03/08/2009 17:57

VAG we thought the same movie would be fun to watch with my folks...now they are pretty chilled out hippy liberals.,.

but fun it really wasn't.

NeedChoos · 03/08/2009 18:00

Thanks VAG

I've scared myself to death this afternoon by reading some of the weird stuff on other TTC threads - proper scary!

I'm sure my total control freakery will surface sometime soon and I'll be up there with the rest of you. In the mean time Ginhag's plan sound marvelous and well thought out. Love the sound of your holiday!

Scorpette · 03/08/2009 18:06

The food situation is controlled - I am cooking for myself for every meal bar the evening one and I can therefore cope if it's weird/bland/yuck. The woman uses no seasoning, not even salt though - it's not right. extreme will you be my MIL? I wanna comne round yours and be fed till I burst Nah, the woman's lovely otherwise - can hardly complain, considering my Ex's crazy fat cowbag mum (not being bitchy - she really was mentally ill, obese and had all the personality of a dead slug). Mr Scorp (that's right, I be da boss) is more than worth it. His whole family are actually great, I really heart them.

I think I might actually need sectioning if I carry on being as mental as I have been over symptom-spotting: fringe looks bushy and rubbish? Obviously getting pregnant lady super-hair! Broke a nail? The baby is leeching nutrients from me already! Big fat belly? Clearly showing already (nothing to do with not going to gym for over a week and eating like a pig )! Feeling mardy? Hormonal pregnancy flux! Ad infinitum.

Serious question (sorry) - I only ever get period pain on the left. Cramps are to do with one part of the womb working harder than the rest, so if I'm now getting flutterings only on the left (it had been in middle womby area), does this mean it's just accursed RTOD preparations I can feel or just the over-active part of my womb being, well, over-active? If the egg's coming from the left could this be it? Basically, please convince me every single thing I feel is a sign of updiffedness [grin of desperate maniac]

ski Me and TYF will have one year a decade when we're both in the same age-group (9 year difference) Luckily he's a Scorp too, cos it will be for nearly a whole year. Two pervy obsessive Scorpios should have a good chance of having the antichrist a baby, right? As regards birth order, I am an eldest child, he is a middle child, and I am a bossy cow and he is easy-going and laidback. Works for us!

Bah, have to keep deleting history, as am on MIL's puter and don't want to get her hopes up with seeing 'MUMSNET' as a site heavily visited

Scorpette · 03/08/2009 18:10

Choos Good choice! Let the madness (even more than usual, eh? ) begin! Stay away from most threads, mind - when I first joined up, I read a thread about the weirdest/grossest/scariest things that had happened to women during labour. I nearly stitched myself up with darning thread, I tell ya!

ginhag · 03/08/2009 18:23

scorp can't advise you on the 'fluttering' thing as I never had it and tbh am not sure what would cause it at such an early stage (expect thinking about it a lot??)

the nails-now they get stronger (everyone checks their newly-impressive talons).our bodies are fucking amazing really.well actually mine is rubbish, but it's true about the nails.

choo yeah it'll be great.except only me n the fella can sail, and haven't been since I was 6 months pg with mani so have sort of forgotten how.sure it'll be fine though,I mean, sailing with a toddler, what could possibly go wrong??? And yes my 'Pregnancy Plan' is top-notch,I should write a book and get hung drawn and quartered reviewed in the Daily Maul...

SkaterGrrrrl · 03/08/2009 18:30

Welcome aboard the Love Train, Choos!

Woo-woo!

Scorpette · 03/08/2009 18:42

ginhag surely you are not suggesting that all these very clear and obvious signs of updifficence are all in my head and not my womb? Heaven forfend

Oh Christ. Mealtime beckons within the next hour. Keep fingers crossed for me... [discreet spewing emoticon]

PS Cheggers it's a reet bugger having to say 'dinner' instead of 'tea'. Bloody Southerners and their daft ways

ginhag · 03/08/2009 18:45

scorp

longwee · 03/08/2009 19:32

Oh fuckety fuck. I have just done another test to confirm the last one and it was definitely negative. It was a very watery wee though - I do drink loads of water - so it could have just been very diluted and late in the evening as opposed to first thing in the morning - but now I don't know what's going on... Will do another in the morning but I wish I had just waited till the morning as I'll be left wondering all night now...

There is definitely an ongoing theme here - and a direct correlation between pregnancy tests and angst. Do you think there's anything any of us might learn from our collective experiences......?!

skihorse · 03/08/2009 19:47

Don't POAS until you're in maternity jeans and your nips are spurting milk? I'm as guilty as anyone for POAS when it's unecessary.

skihorse · 03/08/2009 19:58
NeedChoos · 03/08/2009 20:10

You're not kidding re the weirdness and down right wrongness of some of the stuff on other threads.

longwee thats just....well...not cricket is is.

ginhag · 03/08/2009 20:16

Fuck longwee your head is being messed with mate

diluted wee could've done it tho.if not first morning then a few hours without erating n minimal drinking is ok

luck to ya

SkaterGrrrrl · 03/08/2009 20:35

Oh. my. god.

You all have to go and read THIS THREAD. Immediately!

SkaterGrrrrl · 03/08/2009 23:15

I see I lured Scorpette over

God it breaks my heart to see such a nice sounding woman with such a horrible man.

So how is everyone tonight?
