Hoping - I didn't get email about your picces .

Neeko - your photos are lovely, your DD is a wee smasher and you have such a cheery, Scottish face . Yes I love, love love Dirty Dancing and was seriously in love with PS back in 1987 . Also remember sobbing to 'Who will love my children' - couldn't watch it now post-DS - I'm too soft.

Came home to two lovely pieces of mail - an evening invitation to a wedding being held at the castle we had ours at which we've not been back to since (you can only go if you hire it out/are invited to another wedding) and a letter stating I'm 'low risk' from my triple bloods . Fully expected to be high and maternal age alone was 1:137 for Downs but increased to 1:377 after bloods. Their cut off is 1:250 so am deemed low. Was 1:8338 for spina bifida. I know its not a guarantee but I'll take it for now.

Neeko · 22/07/2009 20:34

Hi Blue Great news about the tests It must be all becoming real for you now.
When's the wedding? Do you have something bumptastic to wear?
I've never been told I have a Scottish face before What makes it so?

My DH is working silly hours this week 14-16 hours. Seems all I do after DD is in bed (and sometimes before) is sit with the laptop on my knee and my feet up!

cupcakefairy · 22/07/2009 21:01

hoping I can't believe a friend asked you that...as we always say on here, people who haven't been through it just don't understand. Btw did you have to give the pearls back??

Lol, I started talking about 'the mumsnet girls' to dh again tonight and he said 'right, you're gonna have to tell me their names again cos I can only remember Peeko and iggypiggle' made me laugh!

Curly you lurking tonight? Still looking lovingly at pic of your dancing bean?

Neeko · 22/07/2009 21:05

Hi Cupcake Peeko sounds like a pornstar! Mind you probably did the deed as much as one last month

Speaking of scan pics, can we please have them posted/emailed so we can all ooh and ah if we want?

Mermaid if you're lurking, huge hug to you. Please come back soon. I miss you. Same goes for Jools

cupcakefairy · 22/07/2009 21:10

Aww Neeko just seen your piccies! Your dd looks just like you! And what are you on about having to send round 'doctored pics'- as if!
Ha, you're so right, it does sound like a porn star name!

By the way blue your name was on the list in the email hoping sent out..you should have had her piccies

GracieGirl · 22/07/2009 21:19

Evening! Yay for the first time in the last 5 hours i'm not sat deciding whether I need to vomit or not! Bizarre thing this evening sickness!

Cupcake my DH knows quite a few of the names on here though he gets them all wrong too!

4ever I'm 11 weeks and 2 days today. Maybe time is seeming like its flying but its really dragging here. My scan on Friday seems like its years away! I'm sorry you're not getting good support for people in RL, I don't think people realise sometimes how much their comments hurt.

Barbie I'm pleased you've booked your scan.

Blue lovely to hear your blood tests came back low risk.

Neeko lovely pictures. I checked the Emmsys email account this morning and its definate proof of the reasons you don't write any personal details on websites, its absolutely full of freaky emails from weirdos (and I don't mean you lot!! ). Its not just random junk mail either, some are personally written to Gracie having read my profile and they aren't wanting to talk about babies and TTC, quite a bit ruder than that! I should probably send some round for you to read, they are quite funny in a freaky sort of way!

Neeko · 22/07/2009 21:20

aww thanks Cupcake. You're so nice

Neeko · 22/07/2009 21:33

OMG Gracie I can't believe people would do that! WHY? (Please send some though )

I had no MS with DD so it'll be a new experience for me if it hapens this time. There's a freaky part of me that wants it as it's supposed to make for stickier beans.

What's your verdict on MrsKate? I have a good feeling...

anniebigpants · 22/07/2009 21:43

I,ll send you my email adress Gracie as havent got round to it yet. Just goes to show why you shouldnt put too much personal info about yourself on these sights, hope the rude emails arent freaking you out too much!

Blue-Great news on blood results.

Barbie-Glad you had nice relaxing time by the pool.

Big hellos to everyone else. Im feeling like im coming down with something, been feeling nauseous, headachey, and so tired, just dragged myself through today at work. Ive had 10 people cancel their appointments for the next few days due to having Swine Flu, its a big worry for me as i deal with Joe Public day in day out. The dentists at work have said they will treat patients with Swine Flu, at the end of a day so they can totally disenfect surgery after treatment, I have refused, i just dont want to take the risk. I know i could catch it anywhere, DS could catch it at nursery and pass it on, but ive got to do everything in my powers to not put myself at risk.

anniebigpants · 22/07/2009 21:44

Sights? SITES even!

GracieGirl · 22/07/2009 21:47

I have a good feeling about MrsKate too but I texted her earlier and told her not to test yet, her cycles are usually 32-35 days and I think she's only on day 25 today. Maybe by the weekend after she's done these two shifts.....
I managed to leave it till day 27 this time on a 29 day cycle. My fingers are firmly crossed!!!

GracieGirl · 22/07/2009 21:50

Annie you are right to refuse to treat people with swine flu, I know you could catch it anywhere but there's no point in increasing your risk. You stand up for yourself!

cupcakefairy · 22/07/2009 22:29

Eww to the emails gracie! Do they seem like they're written by an actual person? Cos sometimes these dodgy things trawl sites like MN for email adresses and must have picked up the emmsy one...if it's an individual actually sat there lurking on our thread then writing to you that's a bit freaky

Just been watching Chris Moyles on Who Do You Think You Are?..Was quite sad cos he found out his great great grandmother had lost 10 children, some just a few weeks/months old and two at 9 and 11 years old

Neeko · 23/07/2009 09:16

HELLOOOOOO!

cupcakefairy · 23/07/2009 09:35

Hi neeko it is a bit echoey in here isn't it!

I think you're quite right too annie - no need to put yourself at unnecessary risk. I'm not too worried about catching it but am worried about my BF cos she has M.E and therefore v v low immune system

Hi Bakingqueen Nice to see you. Good luck with the clomid and thanks for the congrats.

Morning Cupcake

4everhopeful · 23/07/2009 09:46

Morning Neeko!! where is everyone?!? Have they gone looking for my AF? As I said to Iggy yesterday she appears to be playing knock down ginger at the mo...

OMBG Gracie thats freaky & a bit scarey about dodgy mails! You hear of these weirdo's but cant believe they have sent yukky things to our precious account!!!! How very dare they!

(Thats the only time I shall use the face for as long as poss, shall be counting back from 10, visualizing beautiful things, and deep breathing to keep as calm & stress free as poss from now on.... )

Neeko · 23/07/2009 09:50

Sounding laid back 4ever So nice to hear you feeling yourself. AF is just allowing you more time to practise your zen like status.

4everhopeful · 23/07/2009 09:53

Oh x post cupcake think I ov on day17 so prob due fri, just starting to work cycle out now, always 14days post ov yes?!? Yep will prob turn up when we trek across london to wembley to watch football tomorrow night!

BTW Annie totally understand your worries re swine flu, its scarey isnt it? Stand your ground!

Bakinqueen everything crossed for you this month - bring on the triplets!

GracieGirl · 23/07/2009 09:55

Morning! it is a bit quiet in here today. Only one sleep till our scans now Annie.

I still can't quite imagine going public after my scan tomorrow. That's what people normally do isn't it?? It just still doesn't quite feel real.

Good luck with the clomid BakingQueen. Poor you on an 8 night stretch, I used to do 7 night on a few years ago, they were tough.

Cupcake I know what you mean about Family Tree stuff. I've spent years researching mine and I can't help getting emotional about all those really young deaths, and we don't get to find out about most of the still borns and miscarriages apart from if the mother died in the process too. My mum always thinks I'm a bit odd crying about someone who died over a hundred years ago, but when its relations of mine its sad. We all know lots of children died back then but when you find out the dates, names and causes of death its all a bit more real.

How's things Neeko still testing? I think I did a few days running when I first found out, then when I had to take a urine sample to the GP and then the midwife I tested the sample before I went just to make sure. How paranoid are we??!!

GracieGirl · 23/07/2009 09:57

x post 4ever. Morning to you!

4everhopeful · 23/07/2009 11:13

Had to put my being calm plan into effect immediately after last post - big announcement at work, the dept restructure is now put back to Jan, was meant to be Oct was thrilled as plan is to be preg when happens, then cant commute to diff office, so another lot of pressure off - phew, until manager (who knows am on knifesdge mentally) said well they may still restructure anyway (its highly unlikely & seems she said cos miffed her voluntary redundancy now pushed back). So up to a massive high, 5mins later crashing down to sobbing wreck in toilet for nearly an hour . I do fear my sanity, this is torture for me & 85 oth colleagues, we had this hanging over us for 2yrs, and its been put back about 5 times. No-one can plan their lives, some want to study, change career etc but we are all being left dangling while they tweek this new system that will be managed by a service centre in Poland. On its own this would be bad enough but coping with that, 4mc, ops, tests, expensive treatment is just absolutely torturing me... Will book docs next week for natural stress relief therapies & maybe even a week or 2 off.... I keep trying to bounce back & if could cocoon myself indoors with no outside influences (apart from MN ) id be just fine.... So sorry for mammoth me me me rant... It helps to write it down. Inlaws/friends ect dont realise extent of worry cos all they wanna know about is our sex life treatment!

GracieGirl · 23/07/2009 11:24

4ever come and have a big hug. Hopefully your manager is wrong and by january you'll be pregnant and blooming and all will go according to your grand plan. You have as many rants as you need, that's what we're here for. Yes book in with the GP and see what lovely stress relieving things they can offer you. Otherwise do you fancy some carrot cake? - I find that always helps.

cupcakefairy · 23/07/2009 11:42

aaaaand breathe 4ever you poor thing. We had a massive restructuring at my work 18 months ago and as a result 3 were made redundant but waaay more people left cos of the upheaval etc. People were so stressed and only now is it beginning to feel a bit more normal, so it must be horrible for you guys but hopefully this will be super positive and by Jan 'the plan' will be fully in action yes, please do take 2 weeks off!!
On a positive note, great that you are getting to know your cycle more that's really really helpful

Hi baking yay for the start of clomid! Hope the nights aren't too horrible, are you a nurse too? I'll look forward to the big catch up on Saturday!

Gracie I can totally understand you crying over the family tree stuff! I had tears in my eyes just watching that show last night; if they were relatives of mine I'd find it so hard eeep to you potentially 'going public' this weekend that's so exciting! I am really looking forward to the day we have more big-panters than little-panters

Am a bit worried about jools and mermaid...hope you girls are ok if you're lurking.
