Oh pooh crap bum Jools & Iggy Really hoped you would set off a roll of BFPs...

Missed the group hug last night but as this is virtual land, Ill have mine now... Mmmmmm! Lurking in our works internet cafe so a quickie. Feeling ok, gonna get head down & get on with work, its always the build up to days like these thats worst. Shall soldier onwards & upwards.. Love hugs & waves to all xxxxx

Joolsiam · 15/07/2009 10:17

Iggy - sounds like we can both go out and drink loads / eat brie and pate for a little while longer

On the bright side (yes I've found one !), I am now only 6 lbs away from being officially overweight rather than obese - perhaps if I'm not PG this time round, I can lose those other 6 lb by the time I do conceive It means I'll be able to drink at the festival I'm going to over the first weekend in August and the timing will be good because I'll be away from DP for 4 days, then fertile when I get back and he is (hopefully) pleased to see me

Had a nightmare with the blood tests - 4 attempts in one arm when I told them nothing comes out of my right arm - they then tried my left and filled up 7 vials, then the flow almost stopped, so the last 2 vials were almost empty. The woman assured me there was enough, then called me back just as I was leaving and someone else redid those two, but insisted on trying my right arm first and ignoring me. I got very stroppy and stalked out, only to get mega dizzy outside and have to sit down on the floor VERY quickly ! It kinda ruined my stroppy exit I didn't bother going into the EPU - there didn't seem much point without a BFP..

iggypiggy · 15/07/2009 10:25

4ever am thinking of you today my lovely xxx

cupcakefairy · 15/07/2009 10:38

Oh rubbish about the BFNs jools and iggy... that was me a week ago so I know how you feel! But as others have said...there is still some hope. Iggy if it was me I would test again 48 hours leter if af hasn't appeared but it's totally up to you! You know your body... (I didn't last week cos I was away but I would have used up all my babymad tests had I been at home!)

Gracie there is no plan, I don't even have a pla- (that was for the Friends fans among us ) which is why I am scared. Basically been unhappy in my job for a while and was all ready to leave (for good) once baby came...now feel I am just waiting to get pregnant again so I can leave which isn't good...for my stress levels/sanity/anything really! So just need to work out what the next stage of my life is now... (and secretly hope I get pregnant as soon as I leave...??)

Curly I'd love to hide in your kitchen! I have chocolate buttons we can decorate the cakes with hope you're feeling ok about Friday lovely xxx

4ever just want to say hi really brave lady

cupcakefairy · 15/07/2009 10:39

Ooh and forgot to say jools that is sooo great about the weight! Keep it up girl!

iggypiggy · 15/07/2009 10:49

cupcake you are v. brave to leave - well impressed. I am wanting to change work, but feeling like now is a bad time to change cos if I do get PG and don't have another MC - it would be bad to be in process of changing jobs.. then again - can't put life on hold etc etc...

MummyLovesSadie · 15/07/2009 12:53

Jools & Iggy, bums to your bfn's. You both still have time yet so don't write this month off. Bums also to my bfp today, my body appears to still think it is pregnant.

Joolsiam · 15/07/2009 12:59

MLS - I still got a positive test on Christmas Eve, after starting to MC on Nov 11th - at the time I thought it might be a new pregnancy - life is cruel sometimes

very very grumpy today - am waiting to have a row with Tmobile because they've been overcharging me since I upgraded, went to the gym to work out my frustration, only to find my lunchtime spinning class had been cancelled, and have been trying hard to get hold of Rick Stein's restaurant in Padstow - I phoned yesterday and reserved a table for my 40th in Nov but they didn't email through confirmation. Now the number is unobtainable so I have emailed. they took my card details, which worried me, so I'm keeping a close eye on my bank too.

Sorry, just ranting Am in a stupendously foul mood today ..

Very brave to resign Cupcake I've walked out of a job before, to save my sanity, but a slightly different situation because I ended up taking them to tribunal but settling on the steps of the courthouse !

Thinking of you through my grumps 4Ever

mermaidspurse · 15/07/2009 14:40

jools stomp it burns calories, hope you feel ok after blood, venting at t mobile and shouting at poor Rick.
Am soooo impressed at only another 6 lbs that is ace.
It is all bloody exhausing this ttc malarky We have battle fatigue.

cupcake brave and super coool lady

4ever I am hopeful that work will give you a free golden ticket to coem on mn whenever you want Thinking of you heaps through the next few days honey.xxx

mls just go super gently on yourself, it is such a horrible thing to still see that and hurts like hell.x

ig sending you a watering can full of whatever you fancy, sorry about your bfn, maybe too early??

gracie hoping that your matron is lovely and in a good mood and lets you tidy the paperclip drawer for the next 7 months

cupcakefairy · 15/07/2009 14:45

Thanks girls but I honestly don't feel brave!Just v grateful for a wonderful hubby who is happy to support me til I figure out my life!
Iggy I feel for you, that is exactly how I felt about my job it's so annoying isn't it... just adds to the whole mc misery.

MLS big boo to your bfp so sorry. Do you have to go back to the hospital for a check up? Cos they made me go back 4 weeks after my medical management and I didn't do a test until then...which was negative thankfully!

cupcakefairy · 15/07/2009 14:50

Ooh and have been meaning to say- where is our lovely Bakingqueen?? Are you still out there lurking? Should be about now you're getting internet in your house shouldn't it? Hope you'll come back and join us soon

Joolsiam · 15/07/2009 16:08

Just had a call from the EPU - at first I jumped out of my seat and thought they had info from today but no !

It was just to tell me that all the genetic testing came back with no reported issues - not sure whether I wanted them to find something that could be "fixed" or am relieved there are no issues

iggypiggy · 15/07/2009 16:33

feeling sick again, have been for a few hours - could be just hormones before AF I guess... hate the waiting!

GracieGirl · 15/07/2009 16:36

Afternoon all

MLS boo to your BFP! I remember how heartbreaking getting BFP's after a MC is.

Blimey jools thats some nightmare you had having your blood taken!

Cupcake i did hear from bakingqueen over the weekend by text when I had my scary few days. I think she's having internet problems and couldn't post.

mermaid tidying the paperclip drawer - now there's an idea I hadn't thought of! Must remember to mention that at at my meeting next week. My matron was lovely bless her - she just said "surely you're not thinking of coming back to work just yet, if anything went wrong again you'd never forgive yourself!" She's told me to get another 2 weeks of sicknote and come and see her again next week for a natter. So looks like I'm taking it easy for another 2 weeks.

mermaidspurse · 15/07/2009 16:53

gracie i do love our matron i hope she is as nice to me when i ever get pg.

hugs to all

MummyLovesSadie · 15/07/2009 20:58

MrsKate sending healing thoughts to your dh. Remember sperm can last for up to 7 days inside the uterus.

GG thank God for your lovely matron.

Cupcake no more check-ups for me, I'm now on my own flailing in the waters of post mc, clinging onto you girls so that I don't drown.

Jools did you get hold of Rick? Has your mood lifted?

Well I now have one more thing to worry about. I had a chest x-ray last week due to a constant cough since last year which antibiotics & steroids haven't touched. Anyway I had a call at 7.30 this evening from my gp surgery to say that they have the results of the x-ray & I have to go back this week to see the doctor. When I asked if she could tell me anything over the phone she said no as she's just the receptionist. I've got an appointment on Friday morning, wtf can that all be about??

Neeko sends her love to everyone. I've told her we miss her & need her cheery texts to give us a giggle.

bluesatinsash · 15/07/2009 21:18

MLS - try not to think the worst. As a persistent cougher myself it could be lots of innocent things - asthma for one. Mine was dorment for years but 6 months of sleep deprivation post-DS brought it back with a vengance. Please don't google 'hacking cough' before your appointment OK?

Really feeling for you just now as you so spot on described it 'flailing in the waters' of post-mc. Been there and its shit. After the initial shock, then the medical attention etc. you're sent on your way with a flimsy pamphlet from the gynae ward if you're lucky. My last one coincided with new year so I just made a huge list of things to do in 2009 and spent ages drawing up fertility cycles at the back of my diary and other such nonsense stuff.

You will get through this and be back demanding your DH bd on request. I know its a cliche and its trotted out by people you want to punch, but you have fallen pg three times and have a gorgeous DD, you can do it, it will happen.

Here endeth the sermon

GracieGirl · 15/07/2009 21:20

Evening!

Just heard from DH, he's had a crash on the M1 and I don't think there's much of a car left! He's fine though.

We are supposed to be going to Edinburgh tomorrow to see Duran Duran and to stay until Sunday. Normally we swap cars with the in laws to go to Edinburgh as we have a parking permit for their car in Edinburgh. I don't think they'll be that impressed to borrow my car instead. They're a bit posh for my 10 year old Fiesta!! They have an £80,000 Lexus! Looks like my sturdy little Fiesta will be bombing it up to Edinburgh tomorrow!

GracieGirl · 15/07/2009 21:25

MLS, Blue is right - stay away from Google!!! Sometimes you can get scaring after persistant infections, try not to worry - easy for me to say I know. You stick with us, we'll try and keep you from drowning. big hug xx

Evening Blue!

GracieGirl · 15/07/2009 21:25

Isn't Curly's scan tomorrow??? I'm just off to read back through the thread to find out.

bluesatinsash · 15/07/2009 21:28

Evening Gracie - think Curly's scan is Friday...

I'm sure your in-laws can slum it in a Fiesta for a weekend . Bring your waterproofs, I was in Edinburgh today and it was shall we say rather showery - eek!
