GracieGirl · 01/07/2009 17:42

Mermaid there's no danger at all of me doing any housework! I'm just lying still and trying not to get too hot.

BakingQueen its far too hot to do baking in this heat! Get back on your swingseat and eated another Mini milk!!

Barbie LOL at you turning into your Mum! have my hand to hold for your scan tomorrow.

Joolsiam · 01/07/2009 17:45

Neeko got back to me and said the same re MLS - sorry to bother you *Neeko and thankyou

Fingers crossed for scans tomorrow and hoping it is all over soon for MLS I'm logging off the work network and heading into the garden to check on my strawberries, peas and tomatoes and eat a Solero (I haven't been anywhere that stocks mini milks yet !)

GracieGirl · 01/07/2009 17:55

MLS in case you are lurking later, I couldn't really explain all this in a text. There is a chance with a small fetus that you might not pass it at all. With my MMC I had a scan at 10 weeks which clearly showed a deceased 6.5 week fetus. During the next week I had no bleeding at all. Had another scan at 11 weeks and there was no fetus at all but an empty yolk sac. Their explanation was that it has been reabsorbed back into my body. In a way it had then become part of me. They did say that if I'd not have gone for the private scan at 10 weeks they would have assumed it to be a blighted ovum where there had been no fetus in the first place. I did end up having an ERPC in the end though as I never started bleeding and my HCG was still so high.

MLS if there is anything we can do to help we are all here.

Neeko · 01/07/2009 18:19

Hi, Sorry I've not been on. Very busy day today. Glad we swapped numbers though as would have hated to have come back on to find that no one could check on MLS I really think you should push for a scan on Friday so they can see what's going on that you have to suffer even more now.

Good luck to Barbie and Mollie for tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you both. safe journey home Barbie

Big waves to all the rest of you.

BlueMoon1981 · 01/07/2009 19:35

evening ladies

mls heres another hand for holding, hope you are ok.

phew isn't it hot. i had to laugh at the hair straightening posts, i always straighten mine, its a horrible wavy mass otherwise, but luckily i tied mine back today so not much could happen to it!

had a bit of a crap day today, my friend with the same edd as me came in with her scan pics, i think i did a good job of being genuinely happy whilst holding back the tears. but later i was very with her as i found out she told someone about my mcs when i asked her to keep it to herself. i was just coming out of the toilets and this poor lady said to me how are you, i know about your mcs, and i said how do you know in not very nice terms! i know she only cares but i feel like she betrayed me. and one of the other pg ladies is avoiding me so i guess she knows too.

and i'm fed up of people saying are you better. no i'm not but what would you do if i said no?! so i'm biting my tongue and saying yes thank you then swiftly changing the subject.

sorry again for the me post, feel a bit at having a rant when poor mls is having a hard time, but i needed to get it off my chest. and i know you all know what i'm talking about.

hope everyone is keeping cool-ish in this heat, lots of ice cream is the only way i'm afraid!

BlueMoon1981 · 01/07/2009 19:37

oh and i forgot, everyone keeps asking if i've lost weight. yes i have, but i also lost my baby too...

hopingalways · 01/07/2009 20:02

I just found these while I was tidying up. I knit them for a friend's baby while I was pregnant for the second time, but when I lost that one I couldn't bring myself to wrap them up and send them on. They're newborn size so my friend's baby is now far too big for them.

Would any of you big pants ladies like them? You've all been so lovely to me, I'd really like to give something back.

moon good to see you're back, been thinking about you.

Will post properly to you all in a little bit

BlueMoon1981 · 01/07/2009 20:22

awww hoping thats such a lovely idea xx

bluesatinsash · 01/07/2009 21:13

Aww Hoping what a lovely gesture and hat's off (padon the pun) for being able to knit!

moon - at your friend for betraying your confidence. I was also asked at work if I'd lost weight and that I was 'looking too thin' last time but they didn't know I'd been pg just that I'd mysteriously lost weight over xmas when most folk put on a stone.

MLS - so glad the worst seems to be over. I agree with Gracie that natural can unfort. take a few weeks to all come away even if scan shows nothing left. I had repeat contraction-type cramping two weeks later followed by plum size clot that night. Phoned gynae who said it was just the remains of womb lining finally shedding . All of the above was why I demanded an ERPC 2nd time around.

Barbie and Mollie - will be thinking about you both tomorrow my lovelies x

MummyLovesSadie · 01/07/2009 21:27

Thank you all for the hair stroking, hand holding & good wishes. I'm back to waiting for things to happen which I can't believe as I was in so much pain this morning I was doing my labour breathing exercises. Lovely dh (formerly known as arseface) came home with two huge bars of Green & Blacks creamy milk chocolate. He's going to work from home tomorrow afternoon so I've only got the morning on my own with dd. We have relatives down to stay from Scotland from Friday so I hope things get moving tonight or tomorrow. GG what happens to the sac if the baby is absorbed?

Moon well done for keeping it together while you looked at your friends scan pics. If people ask how you feel then just say "I feel utterly shit & completely empty actually". Who gives a crap if it makes them feel uncomfortable... good, piss off with your scan pics, your gaggle of easily conceived children & your misplaced sympathy.

Hoping nice gesture with your booties & hat. It must make you feel like crying just looking at them.

Neeko How are you doing today? Have you had more little wee-soaked knickers to deal with?

Jools I'm pissed off on your behalf for what your friend said about leaving it too late. Lots of women have babies when their older than us. Wasn't Cherie Blair 45 when she had her last one? As for giving your body a rest - arse to that. This morning I received a brown envelope containing 10 x opk's & 10 x hpt's. I don't know any other way to recover from a mc other than to try again asap.

4ever that must have been painful having a trapped clot in your cervix. No I don't have anything else except for ibuprofen but if I get any pain after midday I'll be using ibuprofen washed down with vodka.

Blue will definitely ask for erpc on Friday if I need medical management.

Thinking about Barbie & Mollie for tomorrow, please let us know your news asap.

hopingalways · 01/07/2009 21:39

now DH is decorating I can get on the Mac again!

moon that is awful, people who haven't had MCs just don't understand what a painful and private thing it is. Maybe the pg ladies aren't avoiding you because mc are "catching", maybe they just realise that with their happy baby bumps there is nothing they can say or do to make it better? I find no matter how caring and sympathetic pg friends are, all I want to do is scream "but you have your baby, how can you possibly understand!?!" even the ones who had mcs before

barbie crossing fingers for you! the ms sounds like a good sign, but really hope it passes as soon as you know everything's OK! crossing fingers for you too gracie MLS really hoping the worst is over now

cupcake afraid you're testing without me next week spotting's started so think AF is on her way sometime next week

Joolsiam · 01/07/2009 21:48

I love the thought of bean being sometimes reabsorbed, so still being with you I am pretty sure this is what happened to me last time and I never thought of looking it like that before.

Just quaffing a nice cold glass of rose

Glad you are as OK as you can be MLS Hoping - love the thought of those precious booties

Moon rant away !

anniebigpants · 01/07/2009 22:29

Popping in to say good luck for tomorrow barbie and safe journey home, and good luck to mollie too.

Hoping-what a lovely thoughtful gesture.

jools-ive had all those 'helpful' comments too, the-do you not think you've left it too late, or well, its for the best-natures way and all that and you need to give your body a break-all said by friends who have no idea what it is like to have experienced one mc, never mind three.

Love to everyone.
