Here we go a shiny new thread.....

OP posts:
Joolsiam · 23/06/2009 12:13

aaaah - I missed you What is the time difference over there ?

Do you think they will allow you to cut your hours ?

I've managed almost an hour of almost uninterrupted work, so am rewarding myself with a lunch break I walk very fast up the hill into town to buy a salad - keeps me fit since my back still can't cope with aerobics ...

Back soon

mermaidspurse · 23/06/2009 12:19

I've made it to lunch time
afternoon barbie I am still recovering form your fab news yesterday. if what you say about having boys is true then you must have a whole football team in there

jools a deckchair in the shade and mini milks sounds lovely up the duff or not.
Hope you are feeling a bit better.

annie sending you a hug.x

*4ever you ok? Have you contacted the dr yet? wec are ready to break out the barbiemobile if its that dippy receptionist.x

curly hope the drs helps.

well post just came and this zestica stuff looks promising and its in a much nicer 'dispenser' thingy would recommend the company, the free opks are in a proper box and I have a 5% discount code. Haven't a clue what day I am which is a good healthy thing but now going off to obsess over the calendar.

barbie1 · 23/06/2009 12:26

jools plus three hours! finish work at 7pm, whole night to myself while dh is being dined out by his company...if i can stay awake long enough ill come back

Neeko · 23/06/2009 13:32

Mermaid The zestica is very squirtable Regardless of day you should road test it tonight

I think the list is lost in the ether somewhere

mermaidspurse · 23/06/2009 14:00

hi neekothecalm The opk was a fairly robust line and I have the good old tummy pain of ov and its my day 9 I reckon, so it's go go go.
and you know what I promised I would be all mellow about it this month but I just can't.

Have you finished all your marking and are on your well deserved holiday? hope so.

Joolsiam · 23/06/2009 14:16

Found a list - looks to be 5 days old so I have added 5 days to everyone. Getting confused about some people's cycles so please check and amend !

Mermaid Time to get the epilator out. GO GO GOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Joolsiam · 23/06/2009 14:28

Nooooooo

Neeko · 23/06/2009 14:29

Sorry meant to add that I'm not on holiday yet. I'm tidying out my classroom (in between putting on DVDs for teaching the kids. I've thrown out loads. Very theraputic and means my room should be still quite tidy when I have my next maternity leave!

mermaidspurse · 23/06/2009 14:36

yep and this month I have replaced the grey undies so it is all going to plan currently... this will probably be the month that dh goes out for a bit of boating this evening and then gets lost in the fog for 3 days or eaten by a sea serpent or accidentally ends up in France with no passport Other than that I have covered all bases.
jools I can't sleep either, pollen count is high but have no excuse for the usual silly things I do.

iggypiggy · 23/06/2009 15:10

hi all - am lurking a bit today to see you all ok - strangely busy so not much time to say a proper hello. xx

GracieGirl · 23/06/2009 15:25

Barbie trapped wind pains perhaps? I'm all for looking on the bright side until proven otherwise, though definitely a good reason to skive off work a bit more if you feel like it! I'm sure you don't want to vomit really, surely nausea is plenty, else you'll be worrying about your football team Bean getting enough nutrients.

Neeko I love your idea of having a "taking a break" list so those people know we haven't forgotten about them . Especially liking your idea of leaving MrsKate on our list though. You might be right about missing some days from kate's cycle I though she was further on than that.

mermaid GO go go go!! If your DH gets kidnapped by aliens or any other of the above we'll send out the barbiemobile to rescue him! No excuses!

oh jools two AF's? now thats just greedy, we'd have to change your name to 2AFsJools.

Hello to lurking Iggy.

GracieGirl · 23/06/2009 15:27

MrsKate is on day 28 (of a 35 day cycle so no getting excited yet!)

bakingqueen · 23/06/2009 16:37

Hello sorry not been here for last few days been busy with work. So pleased with your news barbie am so happy for you both. For whoever fancies updating the list am on day 26 af due on friday really thought this month would be the one but done test and bfn so now having a me afternoon catching up on you lovely ladies watching TV and eating a large amount of chocolate! barbie1 · 23/06/2009 17:08

Good to see you again bakingqueen!..you have tested too early!

mermaidspurse · 23/06/2009 17:11

bakingqueen so sorry for your bfn, I thought this would be the month for you too... enjoy your afternoon sounds a good plan.x

iggy strangely busy? oh don't like the sound of that

GracieGirl · 23/06/2009 17:21

Hello BakingQueen, you enjoy your TV and chocolate evening. I hope you've tested too early, my BFP didn't come till day 27 using a concentrated urine sample. Its not over till AF appears!

Barbie us insomniacs have to stick together! I've spent many an hour thinking of you lot at 3am!

Mermaid I'll tell Kate you said hello!

mermaidspurse · 23/06/2009 17:34

barbie we would be upset if you didn't talk pregnancy stuff, I am sitting comfortably...

barbie1 · 23/06/2009 17:42

well if you dont mind...

V silly questions

Cm...ok i have lots buts its watery??? i mean can that be normal? Keep freaking as it feel slightly wet down there and have to keep checking!

achy legs...it feels like im coming down with the flu! my legs ache and if i walk lots my knees feel like they belong to an 90 year old!

twinges...this is normal right? feels sometimes like something is digging into me other wise just feels like period, heavy womb....

Bloating..i look about 4 months, i kid you not...why is this when beanie is anly about 4mm?

When they say your boobs ache, are you meant to feel like this constantly? Or is is ok when you sometimes only feel them if you jump up and down poke them they hurt me at different times in the day

See i told you i was blonde silly

GracieGirl · 23/06/2009 18:00

Ok barbie I can answer the bloaty question - me too, I look at least 5 months pregnant for 75% of the day, it does get bigger and deflate throughout the day and night too. I can't fasten any of my trousers. I would say its your bowels playing up. To do with blood supply changing to certain areas when pregnant and pregnancy hormones playing havoc. That would also explain the sharp pains, which could be trapped wind.

I'm not sure about the rest, you need to speak to a proper been there done that expert.

mermaidspurse · 23/06/2009 18:50

Your body is going through the biggest changes, the aches well off the top of my 'I'm just a woman' head I would say it's your bodys way of going stop slowdown
It is normal to feel twinges and some of them feel like strong period type pains.
I can remember working at the boat show when I was just pregnant with ds and I swelled up like a beach ball and I was probably about 5-7ish weeks.
Boobs - my sil said she always knew she was pregnant when her nips felt odd when the wind blew on them I know that sounds completley mental but it is weirdly true They are probalby full and yes they will be painful.
gracie I have this rather odd picture of you inflating and deflating throughout the day - surely this will have to stop for you soon.

MummyLovesSadie · 23/06/2009 19:14

MLS opens door with a brown arm & shuffles in with her jelly belly full of French bread, cheese & tiny bean wobbling. Helloooooooo lovely ladies, it's brilliant to be home, I've missed you all & have been thinking of you every single day. I'll read through the thread & post later.

GracieGirl · 23/06/2009 19:28

Yeah! MLS is back! The voice of sanity amongst the newly pregnant!

Neeko · 23/06/2009 20:54

Welcome back MLS. Missed you loads even though I texted you all the time

Barbie It all sounds fairly normal to me. I think pregnancy is a bit different for every woman so you'll be unlikely to find someone who's experiencing the exact same as you. Remember you are also hypersensitive to every twinge in your body and are probably noticing things that those lucky women who've never experienced M/C would miss.
As for posting these things. I think this is a thread to support women who've had miscarriages and allow them to become friends. The thread (and us) wouldn't work if you couldn't ask what you needed to know. Post away. We're here for you and will help when we can and send hugs when we can't.

Hi to iggy
I'm off to update the list.
