Wow ! congrats to Lates and Rainbow !
I go away for a few days and look what happens, must do it again !
Rowing - thats great about the embies, will be watching this space to see how you get on.
Welcome to the board pgsoon great to have you join us.
And boo hiss to AF for generally being a pain in the ass !
No idea whats happening with me, might have ov'd, might not. Darned HSG has caused chaos. My own fault as not temping this cycle cos I couldn't be arsed !
Oh well, what will be and all that.
Happy Sunday all (what's left of it anyway).

KiwiKat · 10/05/2009 22:23

Wonderful news, Lates and Rainbow. Let's hope it's catching for the rest of us, and am certainly sending sticky thoughts to you both ...

Am not quite the hairy harridan, but am certainly very PMTish and snappy. Don't think I like clomid very much.

rowingboat · 10/05/2009 22:23

Hi sweeties, you are so lovely you lot!
Fab news Rainbow!
Issy, sorry I didn't post over on the Assisted thread, it's been so hectic since we got back, but thank you so much for your good wishes!
Fruit you are funny, I'm going to wear slippers at work for sure (we call them baffies up here, well people over eighty do anyway), it will make a change from the flippers and clown shoes.
VSF how are you? How is AF behaving now. Is mad boss driving you up the wall?
Welcome pgsoon, so sorry to hear about the stillbirth that must have been so hard, you are a very strong lady to get through that.
Kiwi have you gone into a clomid-fuelled frenzy yet?
Beam was the hsg horrid? I have had one and I felt poo for quite a few days after.
When I told the doctor in Hungary about the HSG and how it revealed I had one patent tube, he laughed and said, it doesn't actually mean the tube is in the right place to pick up eggs. Which may have explained why I had no luck TTC. Mind you, I have adhesions on my adhesions.
LS Is there a benefit to a six week scan. We only get one scan where I am - at 12 weeks?
The latest for us is nothing much, I'm not even sure when I am supposed to test, but feel like leaving it as long as possible, if nothing bad happens in the interim.
Not getting carried away, just in case. I'm such a misery. But I prefer to be prepared for the worst and then get a nice surprise if the best happens.

spiralqueen · 11/05/2009 13:29

Hi all and welcome to the newbies - we had just been saying how quiet it was and now it's all up and hectic again.

Lates & Rainbow woohoo great news and so happy for you. Rowing hope it's the best surprise ever!

AF visited Friday but CD29 rather than last time's 54 day epic. It's funny how so many of us are keeping the witch busy this weekend. Do you think that our cycles are coming into line because we're all on the same thread? (Think this could be sleep addled rambling - had late night Thursday as out with DH at party and am still recovering )

fruitbowl · 11/05/2009 13:55

Spiral love the theory about us all having the witch round at the same time - let's get some research funding!

Rowing we want a full description of the baffies! pink mules with maribou? crocs? or the traditional sheepskin mocassin? How long do you have to wait before testing? I really would be feeling like wrapping myself in a giant ball on cotton wool. Good luck. I'm with you on the "glass half empty" approach - then it's a bonus if it's good news. Got everything crossed for you.

Big big big congrats Rainbow!
I'm hoping with all my might that this is it for you. Sticky wickies.

Kiwi I thought it was just me being my usual battleaxe self but I agree now it was the clomid that made me really really with anyone and everyone about absolutely NOTHING! Delightful! Good luck.

Byeeeeeeee x

Fantastic news lates and rainbow !!! So pleased for you!! And it's great to have these success stories!

Lates i have to admit i hadn't seen your original message as have been popping in and out when i have a few mins.

All the best to both of you for the next 9 months....!

Welcome pgsoon!

I'm now on 2WW, just relieved to have managed to do the deed twice around ov because it wasn't easy with a house full of parents. Had the gonadotrophin injection (there must be an acronym for that, what is it?!)so knew when it happened....it's quite a relief that actually, at least you can concentrate your efforts But only on cd 13 so i feel like there's a looooong way to go till AF due, and my 42nd birthday in between ...

haraslou · 12/05/2009 10:57

great news LS and RBdays - congratulations. Keep us posted. So much news, it's hard to keep up. I'm having a month off, thanks to DP being critically absent, and rather enjoying lurking here with a quadruple shot latte and bourbon chaser. Good luck with the interview, Fruit. Maybe we should all change jobs??

rowingboat · 12/05/2009 13:57

Hi Haraslou, are you any further forward with the reason for the 'bonus' AF?
Are you feeling a bit lonely?
Nothing much happening here. I checked last night and apparently I test 12-14 days after the transfer if no bleeding, so that's Saturday to Monday. I will probably wait until Monday, at least! [quivering emoticon]. Won't think about that just now...
There is no bleeding at the moment, but I don't really feel pg either.
Tetley, well done with the bding and relatives, not the most relaxing of experiences. Welcome to the 42 club as well!
Fruit the slippers are woolly sheep, I didn't have any until we went to Hungary and bought them for £4 - cool bargain. Not exactly 'Dynasty' though.
Spiral that's good news on AF going back to a more normal length. 54 days sounds like a complete pain.

fruitbowl · 12/05/2009 14:27

Hi again (I'm all over this page like a rash!)

Interview done just waiting for the response and AF to show - CD30 today. Think will have to test tomorrow because I've got acupuncture at 10am and she advised it'd be better if we knew before she did treatment - yikes! A great excuse to test as this is still early ish for my cycles - I'm scared!

Tetley yeah well done on doing the do with the folks around -

HarasL enjoy your month off - go and party for us!

Rowing - you are such a cosmopolitan style guru - £4 hungarian woolly sheep slippers? I'm so jealous. I bet they're right comfy. How are you going to last til monday before testing??? Shall we play "eye spy" to take your mind off it?

xxxxxxxxxx

OP posts:
rowingboat · 12/05/2009 17:35

Ha ha! 'all over this page like a rash' is that CSI or Hill Street Blues?
Oo testing eh? You never know...
I need very little distraction to avoid testing, because I'm too frightened to see the result, after spending all that dough (staying in Hill Street Blues character).
Has anyone been watching the new 'Ashes to Ashes'? I right missed it, what with being away and owt. (Oops I just changed to 'Coronation Street')

spiralqueen · 13/05/2009 14:12

Did you all see that thread from the 42 yr old who thought she might be pg the other day? So many people were posting to see if she'd bought a test/tested/got results that it almost crashed MN

tetleytea · 13/05/2009 14:18

no! where was it? that's an age dear to my heart as i'm turning it next week....

And was she?!!

fruitbowl · 13/05/2009 21:43

Think it was this one Spiral?

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/753921-Oh-my-god-oh-my-god-oh-my-god-I?pg=1&reverse=1

Mind you - sounds like most of our lives every single month "am I / aren't I" etc!!!

I'm doing an "am I? Aren't I?" special myself. Feel bloody tired and sick but got BFN this am CD31. Hmmmmf. Kind of waiting for the witch to show but secretly hoping "this is it". Sound familiar anyone?

How's everyone else doin? xx

OP posts:
KiwiKat · 13/05/2009 23:21

Not so grumpy now, heading off to the fertility doctor on Monday for a scan to see if the clomid has encouraged anything to happen.

fruitbowl · 14/05/2009 09:12

Good luck with that Kiwi.

Well I had the official "red wipe of doom" this morning. Effing fed up . Don't think it's gonna happen for us now. Got another 4 months of clomid but don't have much hope. DH said this am he's already resigned to it not happening and I felt like shouting "well what the eff am I putting myself through all this for then ?" But I didn't. It's not his fault (sigh)

Thanks for listening to my CD1 blues. Better luck y'all. x

OP posts:
spiralqueen · 14/05/2009 09:57

Yup that was the one Fruit.

Hope the trip goes well Kiwi - I've got trip to GP Friday next week to talk about referral to fertility clinic.

How's everyone else doing?

rowingboat · 14/05/2009 10:27

Oh dear, sorry Kiwi, it does all get a bit frustrating! What is the plan for Friday?
I have been reading that thread about the 42 year old, although she isn't pg, there are loads of people on there who conceived at forty plus.
So I ended up doing a test and got a positive result, it said 1-2 weeks which would be about right. However, I'm getting loads of spotting and reddish discharge and cramping, so I'm not feeling very positive myself.
Feeling a bit knackered quite frankly and rather like the idea of loafing around, but I'm not sure how helpful that would be.
This is all so flipping worrisome. Collapses!
That's good news about going to see the GP Spiral, I hope you feel better after getting some investigation done.
I was thinking about getting Mayan abdominal massage before all this, but didn't get around to it, it is supposed to help fertility, just thought I would mention just in case. I think it realigns your 'bits' inside.

dixie64 · 14/05/2009 13:36

Virtual hugs to all those that need them - and buckets of babyglue coming your way Rowing - take it easy.
x

fifitot · 14/05/2009 19:39

Fingers crossed rowing x and Fruit - I share your pain. My AF just stopped so climbing aboard again next week......dunno why.

Hi to everyone else too on this rainy and cold Thursday.

fruitbowl · 14/05/2009 20:02

Oh Rowing you must be on absolute tenterhooks. Congrats on the BFP!!! Hope this doesn;t sound ignorant or offensive but if you had 3 embs implanted did they say you could expect some bleeding and still be preg with one of the littluns? Loads of luck x

OP posts:
KiwiKat · 14/05/2009 22:39

Sending you sticky thoughts, Rowing. Bummer re AF, Fruit and Fifi. Sorry that you're feeling down.

haraslou · 15/05/2009 04:22

that's fab news Rowing - hopefully. I like to think of it as a steeplechase, a series of hurdles... so you're over another..
sorry, trying to meet a work deadline so a bit distracted. And no, I am no closer to establishing the reason for the mystery mid-cycle AF. This cycle it happened after ov which had me dreaming of implantation bleeding - I am officially crazy.
Sorry, Fruit n Fifi re AF. I will be joining you come Monday. and you can join me on my big party weekend. so shallow, I know.
Kiwi, good luck on Monday. Must be time for some good news.

rowingboat · 15/05/2009 13:13

Hi all, well the bleeding continues unabated, so it's looking like a bust for us. However DP has been reading me reassuring internet stories about people who had lots of bleeding, but still had a baby at the end of it, so I'm testing on Monday....
Going for a lie-down.
I'm not feeling too bad overall though and not depressed or anything (yet).

spiralqueen · 15/05/2009 16:19

Hold on in there Rowing hope that you manage to get plenty of rest and that the bleeding abates. Sending loads of stickiness to you.

Have a good weekend everyone.

spiralqueen · 15/05/2009 16:21

PS: To add to your DP's stories one of my friends bled throughout her 2nd pg and produced a gorgeous DD at the end of it.
