Ummmm, well not great really girls.
It's either good or bad and i'll only know which in 2 weeks.
I'm either only 5 weeks pregnant, not the 10 that we thought.
Or I'm 10 weeks 'pregnant' and the 'baby' hasn't done anything for 5 weeks.

So - that's it really.

I've done the math and I've pretty much convinced myself that it's unlikey to be good news. Pesamistic yes but there was a reason I wanted this scan so quickly, a niggle that was unlying my happiness.

My last period was 14 Feb. It seems more likey that it's not going to b e the good news. Will only know in 2 weeks time. Can't do anything till the next scan.

Gutted. Scared. Disappointed. Worried.
Not happy anymore that's for sure.Just wanted to tell you, well had to really.

Anyway, that's that.
For now.

oh thomcat...im gutted for you...you were so happy when you found out you were pg, but like janh said, if your first test was negative then possibly you are only 5 weeks pg

its a shame they cant do a blood test on you to see if your hcg levels are doubling, would sure beat waiting two weeks of waiting, which is going to be hell for you, infact, cant you demand they do a blood test??

Oh no Thomcat i know exactly what you are going through. Believe me. I know i was between 10 or 12 weeks when i started bleeding. I know my dates as ttcing so hard. When they told me the sac was only as big as 5 weeks so couldnt see a heart beat, i was filled with a sense of hope. Maybe i was in the wrong.
Unfortuantley for me i was in pain and bleeding so was scanned for different reasons, sounds quite different to you. Ill keep everything crossed.

How do you feel. are you having any pregnancy symptons at all? Please let us know how you get on. Do you have to wait a week for another scan.

TC - my dh was like yours too. He just seemed to carry on pretty much as usual, while I couldn't and life was on hold. I just think it's different for us because we carry the baby, so in a way it's more real to us.

Oh TC, I'm SO sorry your scan wasn't quite the happy time you hoped for. As others have pointed out (and you said yourself) you used to have irregular cycles and that may just be the case here. After all your last test was negative. I think JanH is talking a lot of sense. I will keep everything crossed for you. I think two weeks is such a long time to wait.

I have a friend who swore blind she was 11 weeks, she had a scan and was told only 5 weeks and to come back in a week.

All week she went through her dates and swore blind there is no way they could be right as she didnt have sex when they suggested she did.

Shes now 21 weeks and still doesnt know how it is possible.

The only reason i was so sure about mine was because id tested 6 weeks previously.
