Ummmm, well not great really girls.
It's either good or bad and i'll only know which in 2 weeks.
I'm either only 5 weeks pregnant, not the 10 that we thought.
Or I'm 10 weeks 'pregnant' and the 'baby' hasn't done anything for 5 weeks.

So - that's it really.

I've done the math and I've pretty much convinced myself that it's unlikey to be good news. Pesamistic yes but there was a reason I wanted this scan so quickly, a niggle that was unlying my happiness.

My last period was 14 Feb. It seems more likey that it's not going to b e the good news. Will only know in 2 weeks time. Can't do anything till the next scan.

Gutted. Scared. Disappointed. Worried.
Not happy anymore that's for sure.Just wanted to tell you, well had to really.

Anyway, that's that.
For now.

Thinking of you TC x

Sorry to hear that you got this worrying news
Am keeping everything crossed for you, that everything turns out ok.
A friend of mine thought she was 12 weeks pregnant & when she was scanned it turned out she was only 6 weeks.
She gave birth to a healthy baby boy 4 weeks ago.

GRMUM · 25/04/2005 19:40

What janh says makes a lot of sense. Really hope that is the explanation. x

tammybear · 25/04/2005 19:40

Surfermum · 25/04/2005 19:41

Thomcat I'm so sorry to hear this. I went through the same - 3 weeks of waiting and wondering am I pg or aren't I, and emotions all over the place. Take care of yourself.

flamesparrow · 25/04/2005 19:42

I sending you huge hugs. I read all of your thread the other day, and was in tears of you with you, and I am now worrying with you.

Hoping with all my heart that your first dates were just a bit messed up.

xxxx

cat82 · 25/04/2005 19:43

Thomcat · 25/04/2005 19:50

D still wants to go out for drinks with mates tonight so he's obviuosly not worried, about anything!

Oh man, ............................... wish I could be more positive about this. Not finding it easy. Stopping crying might help aye.

Tinker · 25/04/2005 19:51

Think it's just hard for men to get it though.

Thomcat · 25/04/2005 19:53

I've told him I don't feel like being on my own but he thinks I'm over reacting. Says we don't know anything yet. Not sure if he's actually going out but know he'd like to

OP posts:
Polina · 25/04/2005 19:53

Fingers and everything else crossed for you! Love from us all here.

Tinker · 25/04/2005 19:55

Hmm. Think he should stay in with you but...

JanH · 25/04/2005 19:55

Oh, it's different for men, they never get so emotionally involved, they can switch off and behave as if it isn't happening. I'm sure he is worried but they hate going over and over stuff the way we do.

TC, could your mum come round and keep you company this evening, or a friend?

Fimbo · 25/04/2005 19:55

Sorry don't know what quite to say. I agree with what JanH said previously. Keeping everything crossed for you.

kid · 25/04/2005 19:56

The waiting is really hard, I hope the 2 weeks pass as quickly as possible for you.
I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you TC

Nemo1977 · 25/04/2005 19:56

Tc my dh was the same sort of carrying on as normal and saying we know nothing etc...it is hard but sometimes its the only way the feel they can cope

PrettyCandles · 25/04/2005 19:56

Hey ThomCat, cry if you need to. Men cry differently (ie down the pub). Here's hoping that you just missed a period. Toes and fingers crossed for you. Rough to have to wait for two weeks. Is it so that they can do a growth scan?

JoolsToo · 25/04/2005 19:57

I'm sure you are worried but it might not be the bad news you're expecting - it's hard, but try and keep positive and I'll keep everything crossed for you!

Hope you get the news you deserve TC.

NomDePlume · 25/04/2005 19:57

TC, there's still hope hon. I've got everything crossed for you.

emmatmg · 25/04/2005 19:59

Oh no, Thomcat, I'm so sorry.

I'll keep everything crossed for good news in 2 weeks for you.

JakB · 25/04/2005 20:06

Oh TC, I am so, so sorry I was just about to reply to your gorgeous post about DD's new bed when I saw this. Really thinking of you and sending you a huge hug. I'm really, really hoping that you've had an odd long cycle/double ovulation scenario and it's all cool. Much love, JakBXXX
