PussinJimmyChoos · 02/07/2010 23:12

Going off thread title a bit, anyone else sick of all the bumps everywhere? Been TTC no 2 for 2 yrs now and just starting fertility investigations...seems that everywhere I look there are huge pregnant bumps

KaraTrace · 03/07/2010 07:47

There are bumps everywhere, new neighbour is due this month so soon will be seeing new born all the time. It is especially painful as I was due this month too but mc.
I have been TTC #2 for 2 years also, good luck with your fertility investigation PussinJimmyChoos.

TheLadyOfTheGreenKirtle · 03/07/2010 08:31

puss, Im so fed up of them. everywhere i go i see pregnant women swanning around. i know that they havent taken anything from me, but...

how did dildocam go?

Loujalou · 03/07/2010 09:05

Lady hope all is well and your trip to the doctors gave you some answers.

Puss totally agree and most of my friends seem to have bumps too.

Anyway

Louja wants to know if a turkey baster is a practical alternative to shagging as she is fed up of being nice to her husband. Though the anniversary present of a handbag should help the nice feelings.

PussinJimmyChoos · 03/07/2010 17:31

Louja Turkey baster crossed our minds as well cos it gets knackering!

Roffle at Dildo cam! I was mid cycle but it didn't show that I've just ovulated or about to, so I am no wondering I ovulate early than I thought I did - eg CD 10 or similar...

It also showed that the lining on one side of my womb wasn't as thick as it could be, but consultant didn't seem to think that was the issue

I've got lots of eggs in the ovaries though so that is good. 21 day progesterone is good also so next step is the 3 day bloods, sperm test for DH and I've got 3 cycles worth or clomid BUT am considering trying for one more month and this time getting jiggy a day after period finishes and every two days after that to see if makes a difference before going on Clomid - what do you think?

Bit nervous about all the mood swings also!

TheLadyOfTheGreenKirtle · 03/07/2010 19:19

all sounds good. what dosage clomid are you starting on? i think your plan sounds pretty good tbh, clomid thins the womb lining and my mood swings on clomid were epic (dh still shudders now when he thinks of it - i once woke him up to shout at him about going to the pub for an hour five years ago) try taking it in the evening though to reduce the effects.

PussinJimmyChoos · 03/07/2010 21:21

It thins it?? But he said one side was already thin....not sure about dosage - prescription is at home (staying at mums for the weekend atm)

Lady - what is your TTC story if you don't mind me asking?

TheLadyOfTheGreenKirtle · 03/07/2010 22:58

not massively i had to downgrade from 50mg-25, worked on 5th cycle but mc'd.

its lissie. been ttc for 5y, had a total of 11 mc's (inc cp's) and one ep. lost left tube and discovered that the surgeons had misplaced my bladder during ds's cs birth. was ttc him for 3 years (but reckless for 2 before that)

PussinJimmyChoos · 03/07/2010 23:01

Oh Lissie...you have been through a lot..here, have choc Where are you now in the whole TTC game and do you know if there is any hormonal basis for the repeated mcs?

I've had people saying oh well at least you have one and I can see what they mean but at same time, doesn't mean I don't have the right to want no 2!

TheLadyOfTheGreenKirtle · 03/07/2010 23:09

we are still ttc but half heartedly now. all of my mc's follow a temp spike/fever swollen tummy etc and all at 5-6w so pretty sure that the problem is to do with NK cells/immunity based but my local cons wont test, saving up to see mr shehata atm. we have enough for 1st appt (just about) thanks to lovely mners and our savings but need enough for tests/travel down there etc too. dh lost his job in may so had to put it on hold.

its v frustrating, ive seen so many "specialists" but they wont listen to me. i had uterine GBS after ds was born, went undetected for a week. they wont even prescribe antibiotics. and because imc at 5-6w i feel like im making a fuss of nowt.

Loujalou · 04/07/2010 07:51

[Passes Puss the turkey baster and some more chocs]

StormTTCbabyNo1 · 04/07/2010 08:53

Lady , Puss hope everything works out for you guys xxx

FB Status - Happy 4th Anniversay babe...its a good few days still before I can test but if you can hang on I might have the best present in the world to give you...I hope xx

TheLadyOfTheGreenKirtle · 04/07/2010 10:34

todays fb status:

lissie is either fat or pregnant. bring on the bacon butties!

FlyingCat · 04/07/2010 13:38

Status I'd love to have written this week...

FlyingCat is proud that she managed to "relax" whilst spreading her legs for a room of around ten medical folks in her HSG test. And it really wasn't as bad as anticipated.

or...

FlyingCat wants to know whether she just saw a blocked tube or it was just a bad picture but won't find out for another 10 weeks!!!!

PussinJimmyChoos · 04/07/2010 17:19

Fbk status: WTF is going on with OPKS! Am I frigging ovulating early, late or not at all - so confused!

Lissie - where is Mr Shehata based?

TheLadyOfTheGreenKirtle · 04/07/2010 17:53

flyingcat, i lol-led at your status. they should have told you the results. when i had my HSG i pestered questioned them for about an hour although they did try to force the dye through my tubeless side, always helps to read the notes

puss, he is based at the miscarriage clinic in harley st. has a few NHS appts at varios hospitals down south, but it would cost a fortune to get there from shropshire.

JustKeepSwimming · 04/07/2010 17:56

is so fed up with her BIL & SIL and their crappy attitude to family, esp how they treat her MIL. In fact next time a 'family' day is organised for their benefit, JKS is NOT going!!!

PussinJimmyChoos · 04/07/2010 17:58

I can't believe your consultant won't consider doing the tests you want and you need to go down this route - I'm no expert but do have a Biomedical background and the whole temp peak/fever thing before a m/c does sound immunological based - what twat consultant can't see that?!!

TheLadyOfTheGreenKirtle · 04/07/2010 18:06

whats up chick?

puss, i know. everytime ive mentioned it to him he dismisses it. wants to try heparin instead (despite the fact that i already bruise like a peach and get regular nosebleeds) from about 6-7w (fat lot of good it'll do the embryo that i lose at 5-6w, even if it will work) im sick of being patronised by doctors. been told to go on holiday so many times that Im considering taking my passport to the next appointment.

PussinJimmyChoos · 04/07/2010 18:15

What a twat! Can you ask to see a different consultant or make a copy of all your records and make an appt with a private consultant - closer to you than Mr Shehata and see if he can prescribe you something there and then?

Apologies if my suggestions sound simplistic btw! From other fertility stories that I've read in the past and if IRRC some of the reocurring m/c treatments are actually quite straightforward - eg injections or tablets etc

Oh I could whack him one on your behalf

TheLadyOfTheGreenKirtle · 04/07/2010 18:26

i know, we are going back to our local cons to try to push him/at least get new tests done. then go to see mr shehata. we have also been under LWH so i could go back up there to their NK cell clinic.

PussinJimmyChoos · 04/07/2010 18:40

Threaten to name and shame the twat on mnet...

TheLadyOfTheGreenKirtle · 04/07/2010 19:02

lol, that could work I have built up a portfolio of articles from newspapers/medical press etc about it.

god, i hate him!

PussinJimmyChoos · 04/07/2010 19:19

Does he not read any of the articles?

Some consultants really have a God complex!
