Thanks girls, sorry for grumpiness, it has yet to wear off but feeling slightly more positive though.

Vikks - Softcups? are they similar to Mooncups? Remember reading about them somewhere else, sounds messy!

monkeybumsmum · 23/09/2009 18:40

Just dashing in to say hi

Had procedure today, was v unpleasant. Was to check for endometriosis, and will get results next week. Am on CD13 and third high today, so think we shall have to get down to business tonight, even though am not feeling great... Urgh.

Vikks, cup thing sounds fab, let us know how it goes!

Bubba, thanks for thinking of me re procedure. Am with you on the whole up and down thing. Sometimes it just feels like it'll never happen. Hope you're okay x

Barrenbrook, not had chance to check back as must rush off, but hope you're doing okay too, am sending you a big fat squidgy hug to help get rid of the rest of the grumpiness x

Hi to everyone else, will post longer soon!

cyncan · 25/09/2009 17:08

How is everyone else?? Any one close to testing?

xoxo and baby dust to all!!!

Cyncan

Vikks · 25/09/2009 21:36

Hi All,
Hope you?re all well and staying strong. I?m CD10 today and still ?low?. I think my CBFM is gonna ask me for 20 sticks again! I started POAS CD9 and usually OV about 21ish. Does anyone else have to do 20 per cycle?
I had a letter through from my Docs earlier in the week saying I need more bloods again this month (just call me a pincushion) and when those results are in a decision about the next step will be made. He?s already hinted that it?s probably gonna be self injections! Lets just say I?m not feeling too confident about stabbing myself willingly with a needle (I?m a big wimp). So I?m hoping for a miracle this cycle so I don?t need to go down that road.
Bubbalewy ? I?ve not used the cups yet for fertitly purposes, but I did give them a whirl when AF was visiting for their intended use. I was really inpressed! No leaks, very comfortable and you can leave them in for up to 12 hours. They do look pretty scary and way too big, but I think I might be converted. I?ve told all my girlfriends that they should give them a try.
How did it go at the Docs?
Barrenbrook ? Simular to Mooncups but disposable and a different shape. I?m glad you?re feeling more upbeat.
Monkeybumsmum ? How?s the BDing going? Plentiful?
Cyncan ? Welcome back! Good luck with the testing. When will it be?

bubbalewy · 25/09/2009 23:41

Well had the app with the doc today, told him i thought i wasnt OV and that the CBFM was just showing loads of highs, he said i need to see a gynecologist asap and has referred me, told me to keep up with the CBFM if i wanted to as can give some very relevant info for when i see the gyne.. I thought id just walk out with some pills or something so now just gotta wait for my app to come through.. maybe il OV before i see gyne ya never know.
Them cups sound great, i wanna try them but im always light and only use a few mice a cycle, just bought a big pack of them new tampax pearl mice so gotta use them up first!

Shmoo75 · 26/09/2009 09:29

Hi all. Hope you don't mind me joining you. I am using a CBFM for the first time this cycle and, feel that I need support from fellow users. I am on my 6th cycle after my 2nd m/c and currently on CD16 with the CBFM still giving me Low readings. I do have upto 42 day cycles and, last cycle when I used OPK's I got my + on CD20 & CD21 so, I think I will have to use all 20 sticks. Has anyone had to use more than 20 sticks on their 1st time of using it?

Hope you are all well and having a fab weekend.

monkeybumsmum · 26/09/2009 09:50

Morning all!

Welcome back Cyncan, sounds like you had a lovely time! Let's hope the holiday did you good and that you've come back with an extra passenger

Vikks what are they testing for? What do you think the injections will be? Urgh, I think I would wimp out on those too
Don't worry re using 20 sticks - I did last cycle, and probably will this cycle too the way things are going. Think it's normal for people with longer cycles... Wish they weren't quite so expensive though!

Bubba that's great that your doctor has taken the CBFM seriously. How long do you think you'll have to wait for your appt? It'll be very interesting to hear what the gynae has to say. Maybe he'll give you something like Clomid perhaps?

Barrenbrook, glad you are feeling brighter What are you up to this weekend? Anything nice?

Hi Shmoo, and welcome . I'm only on my second cycle of using the CBFM and think it's just great! We're in similar positions you and I - I had two mc's last year, had to wait 6 months after the second one, but now on cycle 8 trying to conceive number 2.
Last cycle I was really worried that it wouldn't work as my cycles have been up to 42/43 days, but it did work thank goodness. I'm not sure if it would ask for more than 20 sticks - was wondering whether it would, but then all turned out fine. Hopefully you'll get your first high in the next couple of days - it's a very exciting feeling!

Am now on CD16 and have had highs for the last 6 days Anyone else had highs for so long and then peaked? Am worried that the procedure on Wednesday buggered everything up and that maybe I won't OV this month. We shall see. DH being quite annoying as each morning when I announce my 'high' status in a worried voice he tells me it's all in my head and if I wasn't thinking about it so much then I'd probably ovulate. Grrr men. We've only bd'd once due to pain after Wednesday so am not really very hopeful for this month

On a brighter note can't wait for this evening and X Factor Anyone got a favourite yet?

babyhopes2 · 27/09/2009 10:42

Hi ladies,

Monkey... I had 5 highs before finally getting my peak, It feels like a lifetime waiting for that peak to be announced sometimes. I hope you're feeling better after your procedure - will keep my fingers crossed for you for OV to occur.

Vikks & Shmoo, I seem to be getting through 20 sticks per cycle. Awoke this morning to find my monitor did not want a sample, finally a break from peeing on a stick I seem to be having a longer cycle than usual this month. Currently CD26 UCL is 27. I ovulated pretty late this month on CD20... keeping my fingers crossed for good news

bubba - I hope all goes well for you and you OV

Cyncan - good luck with testing

Shmoo75 · 29/09/2009 16:18

Monkeybumsmum - Looks like we are on the same CD today 19! Looks like we will both be testing at around 15/10

Babyhopes2 - Oh I will def keep my FX crossed for you. When are you planning to test?

I have finally had my 1st High on CD17 which was Sun 27/09 for me and, have had High's since. So, looks like I am going to have a similar cycle length to my previous one which was 33 days so,pleased with that as, since my m/c's they have been all over the place including 47 days waiting for my 1st period after my 2nd m/c!!

babyhopes2 · 29/09/2009 21:48

Yay thats fantastic news Shmoo Keep us posted on that all important peak.

I'm going to be testing this sunday, fingers crossed AF doesnt suddenly make an appearance!!

Shmoo75 · 30/09/2009 16:57

babyhopes2 - I def have my fingers crossed for you for this Sunday. Really hope AF doesn't show before then.

CD20 for me today and yep another High. Hoping my 1st Peak will be tomorrow. Will keep you all posted

cyncan · 30/09/2009 23:17

AF!!! Starting my 4th cycle now! How is everyone doing?

Vikks · 01/10/2009 21:13

Well CD16 and another ?high? today, that?s the 5th in a row. I had 10 last month before I got my ?peak? I think I?m gonna have a similar cycle. Oh well, I shouldn?t complain, we?re getting plenty of BDing in!

Monkeybumsmum ? Are you feeling any better? Do you think you?ve OV yet?
My repeat tests are always Progesterone. Doc?s says that it?s got to be above 35 and last month I only reached 31 so he thinks that I probably didn?t OV. Last month my CBFM said I peaked CD20 & CD21 so I don?t know what to think. Anyway, one more month of blood tests and if the results are still low I?m gonna try the injections. I don?t know too much about them yet, Doc just calls them Fertility Injections and that I have to be taught how to give them to myself daily. Argh!!

Shmoo75 ? Welcome! Have you got that ?high? yet? You sound like you?ve got crazy cycles just like me. My last one was 35 days but I have had 120 before! I?m hoping they?ll stay under 40 now.

Cyncan - Sorry to hear about AF. Hope you?re ok.

Babyhopes2 ? Good luck with the testing on Sunday. Do you think you can hold out until then?

Hope everyone else is ok too x x x

cyncan · 02/10/2009 06:16

Hi Vicks!

I am doing ok... I am hoping this month will be better. I really don't know what happened last month

But at least my cycle seems to be somewhat regular now.. 35 days long and peak on 21st and 22nd.

Hope this month is the one..

Get as much bding as possible!!!! baby dust your way.

xoxo to all.

cyncan · 02/10/2009 06:17

babyhopes!! good luck with testing!!!!

barrenbrook · 02/10/2009 16:41

Hey! Everyone has reappeared, I wondered where everyone had gone, damn you all and your busy lives!

Schmoo Welcome! Hope the monitor helps with the timing and you get your sticky BFP soon

Cyncan Sorry AF got you, she descended on me this morning, I had what I thought was an implantation bleed 4 days before she showed up so my hopes were oh so slightly raised. I gave myself a good slap round the face! Bugger!

Babyhopes2 Good luck with the testing, have fingers and toes crossed for you.

Vikks Good to hear you're coming to the end of the testing, not so good that you may have to give yourself injections, the things we have to do! How are you getting on with the mooncup thingys?! Have you experimented yet?

Monkey Hope DH is being a bit more understanding about the highs and peaks now. Have you had the elusive peak yet? As for X Factor, I'm smitten, loving Saturday nights now with that and Strictly. No faves as yet, I have yet to swear allegiance to anyone!

Well all, have a good weekend

Babydust to us all

monkeybumsmum · 02/10/2009 17:57

Hello

Just a v quick one as just got in with a load of shopping and need to put it away! Priorities hey......

Sorry that AF got you cyncan and barrenbrook It's such an emotional rollercoaster this ttc malarky.

Babyhopes I have my fingers crossed for you too! Am hoping AF doesn't show for you too - it's about time we had another BFP on this thread!

Schmoo, yay, cycle buddies Mind you, I think my AF is due before yours going off last months short luteal phase revelation!

Vikks Ow! That sounds horrible - hope they're not too painful if you do have to do them. It'll be great if they help - do you feel better thinking you have a 'plan'? Am feeling much better now thanks!

Am now on CD22 (I think ) and yes, I did get 2 peak days, hooray!!! I went to go and get my results on Wednesday, and I have cysts on one ovary, am borderline for Lupus anticoagulant (sticky blood???) and the doctor was pretty sure I have endometriosis too. Never rains but it pours... Have to wait 6 months for a laparoscopy, and am starting to think it's not going to happen before then Will keep going with the monitor and hope to get lucky! Managed it with ds so there is a glimmer of hope there...

Better go and put stuff away, happy weekend all!

PS Barrenbrook enjoy tomorrow night!

monkeybumsmum · 02/10/2009 18:08

Sorry, forgot to say hi to Bubba too How are you doing?

Vikks · 03/10/2009 17:28

Advice please!! I missed my testing window. Have I buggered up the rest of my results for this month? I?m kicking myself. I slept in this morning and when I switched on my CBFM it wasn?t asking for a test stick. I did an OPK instead and got positive! Typical isn?t it?

Barrenbrook ? I?ve not used my cups yet. I was waiting for my peak days so I didn?t use them all up. I think tonight will be the night, I?ll let you know.
Monkeybumsmum ? Your condition sounds very similar to mine. I?ve got cysts too and when I had my first laparoscopy they discovered I had endometriosis too. I?ve only got mild endo and they were able to lazer some of it off during the op. Six months is a long time to wait for the op, that must be very frustrating. If you want to know anything about the laparosopy I?ve had 2 (so far). x

monkeybumsmum · 03/10/2009 18:03

Ooh gosh Vikks, I haven't a clue, but if in doubt BD!!! It'll carry on asking you for test sticks tomorrow I'm sure, so just go with what the OPK says for tonight... Did you have a nice lie in? You are lucky! I've woken up at just after 5am for the last three mornings and can't get back to sleep
I'd be really interested in hearing about your laparoscopies if that's okay - am not worried about it, just curious as to what'll happen. How long did it take for you to feel better after them? My doctor told me I'd need three weeks off work which seems a bit extreme. I still can't believe that they will find any endometriosis in there, but will wait and see.
Have a lovely 'romantic' evening

babyhopes2 · 04/10/2009 10:05

Hi everyone, Thanks for all the good luck sent my way - I think it worked as I tested this morning and got my BFP WOO HOOOOO!!!

I am soooo excited and just hope this one goes right for me. Getting in the docs tomorrow because I need to be referred to hospital ASAP to make sure this one is in my uterus & not another ectopic. Also my blood type is B- (rare blood type) so need shots every three months to make sure me & baby dont build up antibodies against eachother as baby will 90% be blood type B+ ... nothing is ever simple but I know it will all be worth it!

Fingers crossed this one works out better than last time I will keep you all posted.

Vikks - I'm not sure what you do if you miss your testing window but I'm pretty sure monkey's advice is the best to follow!

Baby dust to all & thanks again for all the good luck received xxx

Vikks · 04/10/2009 11:51

Babyhopes2 ? Congratulations!!! I?m so happy for you, that?s brilliant. You give us all hope. I?ve got everything crossed for you, good luck at the hospital. Did you have any symptoms? How many DPO did you test? Did you do anything different this month? We need details!!

Monkeybumsmum ? My first Lap was in Feb and that was the ?Lap and Dye?. They didn?t know I had Endo until they opened me up. I?ve not had any of the classic symptoms just painful AF, but most women have that. Anyway the dye test was good and my tubes were fine and they were able to laser off some of the Endo. My Doc seems to think that I can still OV but the Endo makes my ovaries a little less responsive. My second Lap was in July and that was for Ovarian Drilling, the jury is still out on whether that one worked. Both Laps I had two incisions, one in my tummy button and one across the top of my bikini line. They are very small and in the second op they went in the exact same place, so I?ve got two scars not four. My recovery time was about 3-4 days, my Doc said two days but I was still sore by then. I went back to work on day 4 although I wasn?t 100%. The worst bit about it all for me was a big bruise which took I while to shift and every time I bend over or lifted something I could feel it. But definitely worth it, it?s a really quick op and they can find out so much about your condition and which treatment you should have. Hope that helps x

Barrenbrook ? I tried the ?cups? last night. I not sure if it helped or not but ?everything? stayed in for 10 hours which has to be good. I?m gonna stick with them, you never know!

Hello to everyone else x x x x

Shmoo75 · 04/10/2009 12:15

Babyhopes2 I am so happy for you hun and I def have my fingers crossed that all works out well for you this time hun. Keep us posted as to symptoms and when you had them as, we all need to know!

monkeybumsmum don't you have to take a baby aspirin if you have Lupus? Really hope you get a BFP soon and don't need to have the ops. Here's to us both being in the 2ww together.
