Hi Baby. I don't know if I ovulated... I did bd during hopefully the right days...

Salander you are right!! Roll in the new month!! Still have a bunch of days till AF.... but at least the idea of starting over is promising. That is what I read too. I am still using the stupid expired sticks till this month is over (just not to waste the good ones)... and then just start over new!!

Vikks.. I don't know what to tell you about Povera.... not sure what you should do..anyone else have any advice for Vikks??

xoxoox Ladies!

bubbalewy · 07/08/2009 01:04

Hi everyone, you lot may know the answer but im using a clearblue fm the one with the stick you put in the machine and there are 3 bars on it when ov.!! well its worked fine i usually ov about day 11, but this month its kept on 2 bars for over a week like im gonna ov in 2 days but NO! just more 2 bars.. Has anyone else had this? Its worked fine b4 as iv been BFP twice this year but 2mc hope some1 knows something good or bad PLEASEY

babyinacorner · 07/08/2009 08:14

Hi Vikks - sorry I don't know anything about provera either - going purely on my personal feeling I would possibly just wait and see when my period came naturally.

bubbalewy - I think the official line in the info book that come with the cbfm on not getting a peak is either that you haven't ovulated this month which is normal and does happen occasionally or that a test has been performed incorrectly. what day are you on now?

salander · 07/08/2009 08:16

Hi bubbalewy, yeah, i think cyncan and myself have both had cycles where this has happened. its really frustrating. if you read the manual it does say this can happen, usually in early cycles of using the machine. mine has been on 2 bars for about 2 weeks! it may have missed OV, or you may be OVing later than usual this month. Or you may not be OVing - apparently we don't OV every month, who knew?! is this any help?

Trixel · 07/08/2009 09:30

hi girls, af got me yesterday, so onwards and upwards to a new month!
cyncan, how come your sister in law is staying with you so much? how are things with DH now you've got a bit of a break from that?
vikks - not sure about provera, think my inclination would be the same as baby's - to just let it come naturally, frustrating as the wait might be
bubbalewy - salander, cyncan and baby are right - i think it happens every now and again. next mth will be fine again i'm sure.
off camping today, so see you girls next week
xx

bubbalewy · 07/08/2009 20:33

OH thanks heaps for your answers,
It was on my mind as ive never had it happen b4, Im on cd 17 now and i didnt bother testing today, gave up waiting lol, did any of you ov at all when it went like that?? or have i just got a dud month I may not bother now ive used 10 sticks and they not cheap!!! What a wasted month , so annoying all this waiting thanks again

salander · 10/08/2009 08:23

Morning all, hope all had a nice weekend? don't worry bubbal - i got peaks on days 23 and 24 this month! very weird as sure AF is coming on thursday. think its probably just a blip month. and couldn't even do the deed then as have thrush. DEFinitely writing this month off.

bigbrofan · 10/08/2009 21:17

hi all - just checking in to see whats happening.

vicks - i would wait and let your body settle back into a natural rhythm on its own. if you take drugs it's almost like a fake period.

anybody else testing soon?? how are you getting on engelbart??

i have booked an early pregnancy scan for the 26th of august - i should be about 8 weeks by then - as usual i am so nervous about everything going ok and the scan because of last time. its so horrid.

for all of you having crappy months, good luck for this month xxx

engelbart · 10/08/2009 22:12

Hey everyone, sorry to hear about AFs turning up. But they do say things come in threes so after me and Bigbro we're definitely due another BFP on this thread soon!

Bigbro- are you getting your 8 wk scan on the NHS or paying? I'm wondering about having one too, its about £85 for an early scan where I live. A small price to pay for reassurance but then there's all the worry of what if everything isn't OK etc. Feeling positive though!

cyncan · 10/08/2009 23:16

big and engel!! I am so happy you guys haven't abandoned us!!!

Please let us know what your symptoms were!! I am expecting AF at the end of the week... but you never know.. I am not counting this month gone till AF comes.

Do keep positive, everything will be normal with your babies!!!

xoxox

engelbart · 11/08/2009 07:19

Good luck cyncan, hope AF keeps away!

Anyone else due to test this week?

Vikks · 11/08/2009 20:25

Well ladies? I took your advice and waited; no more drugs for me. Got my AF this morning! I?ve never been so happy to come on. I was beginning to think the op had gone wrong. So I can officially post now, CBFM got put on today CD1. DH and I are going to be on holiday around ovulation time, so I?m thinking with all that relaxing, maybe just maybe?? After two and a half years we finally have a month where things could happen. I?m gonna have to try not to get my hopes up too much but it?s nice to be positive for a change.
Baby dust to us all, we will be mummies!!

bigbrofan · 11/08/2009 22:21

hey engel - i am going to pay for it. you only get one scan at 12 week son the nhs in scotland. its about the same price here but i think worth it as i want the reassurance after last time...

my early symptoms were sore boobs like before af but got worse each day.... i also felt really lathargic and tired...now i am nearly 6 weeks - i feel very tired and off food but eating lots of junk... need to stop... my boobs are still sore and very vainy and much bigger...getting more and more tired eacg day - have had the occasional cramps in my tummy think uterus is growing but apart from that no sickness or nausea yet!!!

what are your symptoms engel??

vicks thats so good about your af... and cyncan keeping fingers crossed for you...

engel how many weeks are you??

hope everyone else is good.

xxxx

cyncan · 13/08/2009 16:17

Big! Thanks for sending us your symptoms! I am expecting AF any day now. I will test this Saturday though...

Vikks! How exciting to hear about your AF! I think it is the only happy time for AF!! You are right, we will be mommies!!

xoxo to everyone!

Trixel · 13/08/2009 16:49

Vikks · 13/08/2009 18:06

Trixel ? It does! But I feel like I?ve achieved something this month already! I think I?ll pass out the day I get my BFP.

Engelbart ? The ?DP CM BT OPK Grapefruit drinking? girls don?t know your news, they?re asking!

xxx Vicki xxx

cyncan · 13/08/2009 18:54

Hey Trix! How was camping? Hope you had a great time!

Trixel · 13/08/2009 20:44

camping was grand thanks Cyncan - went to Kettlewell, a tiny village in the dales. they had their scarecrow festival on where you go round on a trail and there are all sorts of scarecrows (ranging from panto characters, to amy winehouse, to batman, to darth vader etc etc!!). it was lovely weather, and really good fun. village fete, victoria sponge, pub lunch, all quite traditional british stuff! do you have similar things there cyncan?
engel and bigbro - glad to hear things are going well!
xx

barrenbrook · 14/08/2009 15:37

Hi ladies, can I sneak in and join you? I've been lurking for a while now but thought I should pluck up the courage to say hello.

Me (34) and husband (40) have been TTC since I had my Mirena coil removed in Oct 08, had a mmc in Jan 08 at about 7 weeks, those days of not knowing my cycle were bliss in comparison to now where I analyse every possible symptom only to get disappointed when AF arrives!

I've only just started using my CBFM, I'm on CD6 and had my first pee on the stick thing this morning (I actually got excited about it when I got up! Loser!)

Anyway, enough of my wittering. Nice to meet you all!

salander · 14/08/2009 15:49

Welcome barrenbrook! Laughing at you being excited at POAS, i was too the first time. It does wear off on day 20 though....

Joining you in mental symptom spotting - AF due any day, sure am not pg and horrendous PMT symptoms but just wish it would hurry up!

Good luck with the monitor, hope it goes well for you

Trix that sounds brill fun, lol at the amy winehouse scarecrow

barrenbrook · 14/08/2009 16:12

Oh good, ice broken, I've made someone laugh

Salander I hope it's not PMT and you get what you (and the rest of us) are hoping for

Vikks · 14/08/2009 17:30

Hi Barrenbrook, it's my first CBFM month too!
I know how you feel I'm CD4 today so I guess Sunday I'll be POAS, can't wait! I hope it's idiot proof

barrenbrook · 14/08/2009 17:42

Hi Vikks, it's most definitely idiot proof, if I can figure it out at 5am after 3 hours sleep (t'was a long never ending shift at work), anyone can!

Funny we get excited about the smallest of things eh? I told my hubby and he just gave me a look and said "that's nice honey!" Bless him x

cyncan · 14/08/2009 18:53

hi ladies!

trix there are some similar things here... but not so exciting! I am glad to hear it was fun!!

I tested this morning... BFN.. as expected. I have my regular headache before AF..so I am expecting it any day.

This coming month will be my third cycle with the CBFM.. I am really hopeful for this month!!

To our first timers... it is idiot proof! You will be able to do it. Just make sure your sticks are not past the expiration dates.. like mine were this month

xoxo to everyone!!

babyinacorner · 14/08/2009 20:42

Hi Everyone - welcome barrenbrook and welcome back trix! your camping trip sounds fab.

Cyncan - grrrr to the bfn

had my second session of acupuncture, it was cool! She did some points in my ears that are chill out points - I was thinking 'yeah right, whatever' 5 minutes later I was giggling like I was drunk and feeling stoned. She did a couple of points in my belly too and I could literally feel the energy whooshing inside me. One conception tip from her was to not walk around in bare feet. This is because you have an acupuncture point on the bottom of your foot and if that gets cold the cold travels up through your body and into your organs and hence bad for your fertility. So keep your socks on!
