Morning everyone

Boo for AF arriving, witch that she is
Welcome Vikks!

I am gloomy today, selfish moan coming up - now on CD11 and no fecking sign of any form of high/increase in anything. Have started dipping now and no difference. Worried may not be OVing at all - came off pill 3 months ago and AF regular but now convinced i have done meself loads of damage by being on it so long! Sorry girls just needed to off load that

Think the woo woo sounds like an excellent mood lifter!

engelbart · 27/07/2009 08:27

Morning everyone,

Salander, CD 11 is still quite early to be getting a high especially if you don't have the textbook 28 day cycle. It is so frustrating waitig for the high though, know where you're coming from.

How's everyone else? Really miserable day here today, going to try and stay inside today for as long as possible

NewMember · 27/07/2009 16:00

Hi Ladies ...

Sorry I have not posted - it's been SO long!

Well I still have my CBFM packed away - trying hard to stay relaxed!

Pretty sure I OV yesterday - so looks like I am in the 2WW! Time will tell!

How r u all?

engelbart · 27/07/2009 18:39

hello newmember, nice to hear from you. It's so quiet in here lately...

NewMember · 27/07/2009 19:01

Yea I was thinking that myself ... maybe everyone has packed their CBFM away! lol

bigbrofan · 27/07/2009 19:59

my CBFM started flashing today on day 24 but im not testing as i think af is defo on the way..grrrrrrrr

feel bummed for everyone who got their af's. keep your heads up....

new member - i feel like i will give the monitor another shot if AF comes if not i too am packing it away..

feeling pretty fed up aswell. xxxx

Katnkittens · 27/07/2009 21:12

Hi guys, I posted about a month ago asking for your advice on the CBFM. I got myself one anyway and am a bit confuzzled... I got my first high on day 6 and am now day 11 and still high. Have read through most of the thread and this doesn't seem too unusual for the first month so feel a bit reassured. I'm mega crampy today so maybe am about to OV? Isn't CD11 a bit early though? My cycles are usually 29 days but last month was only 27 days..

xx

Trixel · 27/07/2009 21:51

hi everyone,
katnkittens - i remember you popping in. you're ttc#3 as well arent you? or was it #4? CD11 is quite early i guess, but as your first high was on day 6 it's quite possible, and not a problem i'm sure.
glad you're doing well, newmember - fingers crossed for the 2ww. have you just been bding if you feel like it, or have you had half an eye on your cycle?
hey engel, how are you doing? did you manage to stay in all day? i had a really lovely day actually, just at the gym, messing about with the kids, food shopping. nothing exciting at all but just chilled.
salander - i didnt have a high until day 10 in my first month, i don't think you're anywhere near a time when you might worry that you're not going to ovulate. what did you mean when you said you'd started dipping now? did you mean that the left hand blue line is fading? if so, then you'll probably get a peak in the morning, yahey! let us know!
cyncan - is all well?
how's everybody else, any news?
i'm day 18, and probably going to test sat or sunday.
xo

engelbart · 27/07/2009 22:09

hey Trixel, sounds like you had a lovely day. I braved the rain and got soaked, have the week off work so hoping the weather picks up so I can potter round the garden . Will you be testing using ebay cheapy tests?

katnkittens- the machine does seem to give weird readings at time but I take heart from the fact that even doctors think they're very reliable at picking up signs of ovulation etc. Small comfort I know!

Katnkittens · 27/07/2009 22:18

Hi Trixel, I'm TTC#4! My children are 5, 11 and 13.
The irony is that this month I really dont want to conceive! I am going back to finish my degree in October and my exams are in May, if I conceived this month I would be due end of April so this month and next would be best to avoid as I've worked so hard for this. I'm just a bit concerned as BD on CD8 before I realised the timing issue... would think I'll be fine but it would be typical if I did get pregnant the first month I dont want to be!

Next month won't be so bad as my exams are early May so due date would be end of May so doable, probs not advisable but I'll probably give it an attempt

salander · 28/07/2009 08:21

Hey all. Spot on trix, high today so have calmed down considerably! Thanks for the support though all. All being well this month i think i may put the machine in the cupboard too - will keep a rough eye on cycle times but can't face poas every morning!

Vikks · 28/07/2009 10:29

Hi Ladies.
Well I?m CD 27 so still not started my CBFM. I?m getting very impatient as I know I?m not PG. Although my surgen has just phoned me and cheered me up, he says he thinks my surgery will have ?done the trick? and I have to just ?go for it now?. Like I need more encouragement!
Good luck if your testing x

Katnkittens · 28/07/2009 15:22

Woohoo got my first peak today on CD12, thought I might as was crampy yesterday.

Trixel · 28/07/2009 20:13

hurrah for highs and peaks salander and kat! vikks, that sounds like good news. what was the surgery for? think i missed that one somehow.

Vikks · 28/07/2009 20:53

Trixel ? My op was Ovarian Diathermy (aka drilling). It?s given to women who don?t respond to ovulation drugs (eg, Clomid) it sort of ?zaps? your ovaries back into action! Sounds good x

Trixel · 28/07/2009 21:12

wow, that's amazing! brilliant that they can do that. was it painful? under general anaesthetic i presume?

Vikks · 28/07/2009 21:38

Yeah it?s a General, they do it through a laparoscopy. I?ve got two small cuts one in my tummy button and one across my bikini line, it?s the second time I?ve had this type of surgery so I know they?ll heal well and be quite faint. Just I bit swollen and bruised at the moment, but on some super painkillers!

engelbart · 28/07/2009 22:41

ooh glad to see thread hasn't completely died!!!

AF due tomorrow, eek. Fingers crossed.

Anyone else testing?

salander · 29/07/2009 08:25

Morning all. Think I am well and truly hexed this month - another high today, prob peak in next couple of days and.....I have a fecking awful wisdom tooth abscess! Have never felt less like doing the deed. Going to dentist tomorrow oh god. hope everyone else getting on better.

Trixel · 29/07/2009 12:35

well done on the update engel!
that is a royal bummer salander - it sounds really painful. maybe once you've had it sorted you'll have a renewal of amorous feelings [hopeful look]
vikks, when did you have it done the first time, have you already got one dc? just tell me to sod off if i'm being too nosey!
engel - have you not tested yet then? how are you feeling?

Vikks · 29/07/2009 16:44

Trixel ? You are definitely not being too nosey, it?s good to talk about it. My first op was in February that was laparoscopy and dye, they also did some laser treatment when they discovered I had endometriosis (PCO too). We?ve no DC yet still TTC no.1. Have you had any treatments? How long have you been TTC?

Engelbart ? Are you testing?

Salander ? Good luck at the dentist, hope you feel better soon.

engelbart · 29/07/2009 18:20

Think I will try and hold out and test on Saturday! If of course AF doesn't turn up in the meantime...

Just heard on the news that pregnant women are 4 times more likely to be admitted to hospital with swine flu It must be so worrying to be pregnant at the moment.

bigbrofan · 29/07/2009 23:10

hi all, my monitor is flashing m so period is due in the next few days... feel af symptoms though so cant face testing. if nothing by saturday i shall just go and buy a test.

engel good luck for saturday - how good would it be if we were to get a couple of BFP'S. if only keep positive.
salander thats rubbish about your mouth - gargle with salt water...

how is everyone else getting on??

anyone else testing soon or just me and engel??

xxx

Trixel · 29/07/2009 23:59

think i'll probably test on saturday or sunday, bigbrofan - altho i have no business doing so as i'm not due til next wednesday-ish. we have the in-laws coming for 5 nights on saturday (yikes! if i'm still sane by next thursday it'll be a miracle) and i could do with knowing if i can have a drink or not. they tend to like enormous quantities of the odd tipple...
vikks - gosh, there's a bit going on in there isnt there? did the laparoscopy show that you weren't ovulating, or was it more to see if there was a blockage? it's really good that they can see what potential problems there are and do things to sort it. unexplained infertility must be hard, as it's tricky to know what to do about it. i've not had any treatments to date. we had one DS with no probs at all in getting pregnant in 2003. caught on again relatively easily in 2005, but had to terminate at 21wks as he had fluid on his brain, lungs, heart and wouldnt have survived. then had a successful pregnancy resulting in DS2 in 2006. then got preg in 2008, evthg fine at 8wk scan but found out at 12wk scan that heart had stopped. that was march and we decided that we'd stop then, stick with what we had. but in nov thought ach to hell with it, let's try again but then had another mc in dec 08, although at just 5wks this time. we seem to have been blessed so much with our 2 scrumptious ones, but mother nature certainly is keeping us on our toes. it means you don't take anything for granted though, you know? anyway we've been trying in greater earnest since jan. and my cycle seems to have decided to throw curve balls at me, varying between 28 and 35 days, which is just typical!
we'll all get there! it'll be lovely when all our bfps start coming in, how exciting!
engel - i'm very impressed that you're not going to test til saturday, what willpower!
