Ghosty
So sorry to hear your news. There are a good number of us on this thread and other conception threads who understand completely how you feel so keep in touch. I keep telling myself it will happen soon and it will - for all of us. The waiting is a real bummer though....
Fingers crossed for everyone trying this month.

i have morning sickness but im due in jan is it to early 2 have it? x

quackers · 28/04/2003 12:14

Hi again Kirby, you and I must have nothing else to. I'm at work - can't you tell! I have to say I felt a bit queezy and off certain foods being about 3-4 weeks pregnant but everyone is so different! Some people don't get any change, some are constantly down the toilet!! I have been toldthat strong pregnancy systoms mean your hormones are reacting well but obviously this is different for everyone.

kirby · 28/04/2003 12:16

ahhh im at college, have u got any good websites for things to do wit babies? im on a childcare course! thanx xxx

quackers · 28/04/2003 12:38

Right place to be then!!! Try www.bbc.co.uk/health/parenting/pregnancy section, Pampers have quite good one too. Also babyworld.co.uk. have fun!!

kirby · 28/04/2003 13:05

thanx quakers im checkin them out at the mo! xx

AnnaK · 06/07/2003 17:37

I have had cramps, discomfort and shooting pains for over a week now. I took two tests today and they have both showed dark blue 'pregnant' lines. I have polycystic ovaries and hence funny hormones (was told I couldn't use ovulation predictor kits and the temperature method for checking ovulation was not appropriate). Any ideas whether the test result is still valid...?

WELL DONE ANNAK!!!!!

StripyMouse · 07/07/2003 09:53

Brilliant news AnnaK. sounds to me like you are definitely pregnant. If you are taking any medication for your polycystic ovaries it would be worth ringing your GP asap just to check whether it is safe to continue/alter your dose.

AnnaK · 07/07/2003 13:04

Thanks for the comments everyone. I have a GPs appointment tomorrow. I am scared now! I have only had one period since coming off the pill in April and was told I probably wouldn't conceive without medical intervention. Big surprises all round!

Egypt · 07/07/2003 22:09

Brill news Annak - also have PCO and told i need help to conceive. hopefully starting clomid next week. you lucky thing you. how did u manage that then!? any advice!

AnnaK · 08/07/2003 08:22

Egypt, it sounds ridiculous but we didn't have much sex at all and it certainly wasn't planned for now. The only advice I can put forward, based on other peoples' comments is use the missionary position with a pillow under your bum and stay lying down afterwards. Night time is therefore best.
The other thing is my husband got his ex girlfriend pregnant while she was on the pill! The resulting daughter was definately an accident. He seems to have super sperm. Again not helpful to anyone else. Sorry.

Egypt · 08/07/2003 18:23

Well, that may be good news to us too, as my hubby has super sperm too! He got a reading of 120 million - which is v good according to what I've read! BUT - where is my baby then!!!!!! Have you been to the GP and had all confirmed? Let me know how it went.

bunny2 · 08/07/2003 22:37

Congratulations Annak, I am greatly inspired by your experience . I have shooting pains too. Fingers crossed, please please please let me be pg. Hi Egypt.

Egypt · 09/07/2003 20:25

Hi Bunny
How's it going??? You are my inspiration!

bunny2 · 09/07/2003 21:49

Hi Egypt, so glad to inspire you . Well, now I just have to wait and see if the clomid worked its magic. I do have some very strange pains on my pubic region and I am very tired but that could be to do with other thing. How's it going foryo?

Egypt · 09/07/2003 22:46

Well Bunny
Bit peeed off really. As you know going to cons on friday - hopefully he shall give me clomid, should my blood results confirm that i dont ov. BUT got p on monday, so that means that fri will be day 5. Poss too late to start clomid this cycle. Then i read somewhere that you can start it on day 5 if your cycles are 35 days or more. My last one was 35 days so i got v hopeful. now after 2 days my p has stopped! WHAT IS GOING ON! I bled like niagra falls the first day, second v lightly and today - nothing. SO MAD. I really thought I ov'd though this month, as had LH surge, EW Mucus, pains in side and rise in temp, but I guess i'm just not ov'ing. I know i shouldnt bother with all this charting and testing, but its just too tempting isnt it? finger crossed for friday now. at least i get the morning off work!
Your signs sound hopeful - but I'll not try not to tempt fate for you. Think positive though.

quackers · 10/07/2003 09:37

Hi Egypt, just wanted to add my best wishes for starting this clomid - hopefully this cycle. Bunny2 filled me in on what it is and what it does. Your signs of ov sound spot on though. From my basic but frantic research of signs, if you get the LH surge, mucus and a temp rise, then it is almost certain. Forgive me if I have missed something you have told us though that contradicts this.
Lots of luck!!!
xx

Egypt · 10/07/2003 19:40

Hi Quackers
Thanks for your message. Not you didnt miss anything. The cons just seems to think I don't ov cos of hormones in blood test. Have you tested yet? Let us know ASAP OK!!?

Ness73 · 10/07/2003 20:09

Good luck to everyone trying. We're not but I'm about 7 days late - my cycles are usually long anyway so not sure if this is a big deal. Have been feeling pressure down below though - not so much crampy thoughy, just pressure (even a bit horny - blush!!) I did a test today though and I got a neg - but the line was really blurry. The line that confirmed I'd done the test properly was clear and dark though. It was a clearblue test. Any thoughts?

I bought two tests so am stopping myself from doing the other one for a couple of days. We have a 13mth DD. Feeling unexpectedly broody so actually wouldn't mind a positive though probably not 'sensible' right now.

quackers · 10/07/2003 20:14

Sounds good to me Ness, did u say you had a vague line - any line is a positive so hopefully, fingers crossed for you!!
Egypt - thanks for your kind words, I really appreciate the support!! I can't really test until Wednesday. I am really funny about those that say you can test 3 days before due. Havn't heard any successes. I feel very moody today though - like pmt, so am not as keen now. However still off tea and nipples and bbobs big, so we'll see.
All the best!

Egypt · 10/07/2003 21:16

Mmmm, sounds good to me quackers - and Ness. Fingers crossed for you both! xxxxxxx
