Hi Ladies,

I'm home alone tonight as DH has driven watch Liverpool in Liverpool and DS is staying overnight at grannies as he goes there on a Wed. and it saves DH from driving him early doors, anyhoo (I do ramble on sometimes Its nice to have a quiet house for a change .

Thanks for all your best wishes for acupuncture sesh tomorrow, I'm very intrigued to see what happens, I mean do I have to undress? Better put on matching bra and pants, eek I don't have any matching ones .

Hey Mermaid - my Doctor has offered me acup to (in his words) "help prepare my body for carrying a baby to term". I don't think there is any evidence based results that it helps prevent mc but like you I'll try anything!

Vjay - how lovely hearing your baby kick - you are striding into 2nd trimester bloomingness!

MM - glad to hear DD is getting better and your scooby snacks sounded lovely - yum!

Barbie - lol at your body having a fight while you slept - at least you know you've given your muscles a good workout . you photos on fb were fab, its sooo sunny over there .

gracie - how is the bleeding now? Your night out sounded just what you needed .

Mollie - thinking of you today and hoping TEW has lost your address

4ever - how are you? when do you fly off?

x

GracieGirl · 10/03/2009 22:01

Evening all! Bleeding slowed down now so feeling lots better. I'm wondering whether it was an early AF, I imagine first AF would be a little odd anyway. Barbie - I might be you, you never know!

I'm intrigued by this whole accupuncture idea, a friend of mine is having it for infertility, I'd never thought about it to prevent miscarriage.

Curlywurlee · 10/03/2009 22:30

Hello!!! I got back at the weekend but it's taken ages to catch up with you lot!

Welcome to the new cave mermaid how lovely to see you We've missed you

Jools how is the cambridge diet going? Hope the mattress christening went well

mollie how is the big toe? I'm still ouch'ing every time I think of it . Thanks for the offer to hold my hand through the 2ww. unfortunately AF has arrived with a vengeance, but on seeing my reaction, DH has committed to a military like operation this month so WE WILL BE GETTING PREGNANT. God help us, whatever happened to romance . Anyway hope the evil witch hasn't got you and I'll be thinking of you on the 13th honey. And you too Barbie

Lol at your directness Zen. I've read of lots of people on mumsnet who got pregnant straight away.

Blue good luck tomorrow with the acupuncture. Sounds like an excuse to buy some new undies - might help with bd'ing as well How exciting that you are meeting MM! I do hope we all meet some day, when we have babies in tow. I really couldn't have got through the last few months without you girls

graciegirl Hope the BD'ing in Edinburgh went well and you're doing ok being back at work. I love your attitude - shoes are important. I need to go buy some new shoes. Given that it's after 10pm, I sense an ebay visit coming on I'm glad the bleeding has slowed down.

scamper I am so happy for you on your good scan. It's lovely to hear about your lo moving too VJ. This is how pregnancy should be - I sometimes forget the potential happiness ahead for all of us, it's so easy to get caught up in the bad stuff that might happen. You take care girls and look after those bumps

Gingermumi at your stupid doctors lack of sympathy. I remember going to the doctor when I found out I was pregnant and he asked me was it my first pregnancy. I told him slightly tearfully that I'd had a miscarriage and he just looked at me impatiently and said "oh so that's a no then". Sorry about stupid AF arriving, I was getting hopeful on your behalf. It is gutting but maybe April will be our month instead!

Barbie have your papers come through yet? We need a doctor to check you out and kick off that ovulation process. You will be 2weekwaiting before you know it girl. Any news on the job?

Happy belated birthday 4ever. Hope you had a fab day. Where are you off to on hols?

MM hope DD is feeling better, poor wee love.

Sabs best of luck next week, lots of baby dust from me too

Big wave to Lionstar doozerhead ray and anyone I've missed. Thinking of you too vm and I hope things are going okay in RL

barbie1 · 11/03/2009 06:15

VJay · 11/03/2009 10:55

Thanks barbie I don't want you to feel enivous or any of you for that matter, you will all be pg soon then I can help you all through the first 12 weeks, I will hold all your hands

That poor lady loosing her kids, I read it but couldn't watch it, how crap is that law.

Hope your acupuncture goes well today blue I had cankles on Sunday and thought about your acupucnture

gracie I'm glad your bleeding has slowed down, you can look forward to ttc now.
Good luck curly too.

Big hey to everyone else, and vm if ever you are lurking, I do think of you honey xxx

mermaidspurse · 11/03/2009 11:37

vjay dear of you we will hold you to that one, have you got enough hands though! You must be so relieved to get over the huge hurdle of 12+ I am so pleased that some of us made it, it gives us all hope honest.
barbie that has put ice around my heart this morning.
curly hiya sweetie! you are sounding all bouncy and sunny.x
I was thinking of our lovely vm yesterday
and so hope that you are ok out there in rlx
Right have to go to the gym my poor core muscles wont know what has hit them by the end of this week!

mm1509 · 11/03/2009 13:08

Good afternoon ladies,

Well both DD and I are starting to get rather bored being stuck in, only two more days till Friday and then we can socialise again, feel like I have lost touch with civilization . On the plus side lots of good old home cooking going, tbh probably more than we can eat atm. Looking forward to getting fully back to normal.

vjay oh the thought of your lo kicking in there touches our hearts, I always said this lo was giving you a run for your money. I know what you mean about us feeling envious but lets rephrase it and say you can be our inspiration, we always need good news.

barbie what a horrid story, like mermaid I read the story but couldn't watch the film, I couldn't imagine anything worse. Keep up the good work at the gym, your putting me to shame, treadmill now ordered though so will follow your advice with the power walking .

blue hope the acupuncture is going well, oh I guess I am just a big chicken really.

mermaid good to see you found us, we are all just like a big security blanket for each other.

sabs sending all the baby dust I can muster your way, let us know how you get on hun xxx.

curly hope your military operation goes to plan, and yes romance does go out the window at times although I never heard my DH complain in the past.

gracie now you've got me thinking about shoes, I bought some last week but they were only trainers for the school run..............I can feel a pampering session coming on.

So glad you ladies have mentioned vm I honestly think of her everyday at some point, at times it just feels like there is someone missing on here. If you are ever lurking vm would love to hear from you, just know you are missed.

Big waves to anyone I haven't mentioned in person mm xxx.

bluesatinsash · 11/03/2009 19:58

Hey guys,

MM, glad to here you and DD are ready to face the world again! I too think of VM every time I log on here, I would love to hear from her again, maybe one day....

Barbie - I didn't get further than looking at the photo of the Mum and her kids, I had to shut it down for fear of breaking down in the office - just horrific.

Acupuncture went well and I only had to expose my lower legs . Felt a tingling where the needles were (hands, arms, legs and feet not my cankles thankfully so avoided flying round the room like a balloon that had been let go ) but no pain at all. I was also hooked up to small electrical pulse thing to 'aid' channeling. I'm booked in for next month for the week before ovulation as I was week too late this month (yes I'm on 2ww again..)

Better dash, DS is out the bath and wanting to bounce on the bed .

Molliemooma · 11/03/2009 20:09

Thank you for the lovely messages girls, had a few tears this week but hoping I can move on very soon AF arrived today one day late, so my body was playing tricks with me again Never mind, on to the next cycle.

Barbie Oh my I sobbed my heart out, that poor woman
MM Glad to hear dd is lots better, hope you get through your EDD (Barbie too) without too many upsets
VJay I am so glad things are progressing so well for you
Blue How did the accupuncture go? Lol at matching bra and pants - you mean you don't ALWAYS wear them
Curly Sorry she got you Let's hope the military mission approach works

Big waves to everyone else x

barbie1 · 12/03/2009 04:11

Hello lovely ladies, bet you are all in bed while in sat looking at the sun in the garden typing away to you all

Funny you all said about vm the other day i was tidying and found her book, and tried to google her to see if there was an authors address where you could email her sounds a bit stalkerish! i though i would email her a few line to say that i was thinking about her, sadly couldnt find an address but found the publisher one, do you think we sould send her a little card via her publisher? it might reach her??? any vm if you are still here by some some miricle (sp?) then you a least will realsise that we all love you lots

mollie i woke this morning at 3pm with hayfever and couldnt sleep and i was laying on the sofa thinking about you and you af, i was so certain that the reason we hadnt heard from you was the fact you were celebrating good news....but sadly not, at least we can hold hands for another month eh? I like your hands, so nice and smooth! Hope the tears have dried up, mine havent started...yet. My mum will be out when it my edd so im going to have a fun filled day planned to help me.

blue lol at the image of you flying off around the room after being popped with a pin! least you got away with keeping your clothes on and not exposing your non matching underwear!!!

curlee glad to have you back with us, i missed you! As for your question re appointment well i had one, and then they called to say i need a letter from bupa before i could go, called bupa who said they dont issue letters before hand so i talked with mollie or mm cant remember now {blush} and i have decided to wait until my mum is out so she can come with me, which also give me a few weeks of temping and waiting to see if i bleed again and then if the letter thing isnt sorted im paying myself (or rather dh is! )

vjay i keep re reading your post about hearing baby heartbeat because it cheers me up so much and make me smile

mermaid how was the gym??? my whole body is wondering what is going on...i swear even my nails are aching after going! its hard work, the heat over here makes it harder too, even though its air conned. They had a seperate ladies gym here but i stick to the hardcore mixed one, much nicer views of men in shorts the pool

Right a temping question for all the experts.....
Start temping on day 20 of cycle as its the first day of getting act together so it reads

cd 20 37.76
cd 21 36.55
cd 22 35.56

thats a big difference no?? also took advantage of dh leaving work early yesterday and practiced a spot of bd! however after i noticed a few drops of blood, still a little this morning...i have never had blood after and we werent being perticularly energetic tmi sorry! any ideas?

Well im off to spend a £150 on my hair no choice in this bloody country....ill let you know how i get on later.

Hope everyone else i failed to mention is ok???

Love from Barbie x

OP posts:
mermaidspurse · 12/03/2009 07:58

its always nice to see an early morning post from you barbie I'm up earlish cos have to go and have an ultrasound today, wasn't bothered but a bit this morning....
I am no temping expert, yet, but oh your poor confused bod. I think the answer must be acupuncture as well Its good your mums coming for some hand holding though.
I am mostly spending most of the time at the gym laughingbut it does help and outwarldy I look like a woman on a bit of a mission! Hope your hair looks a million dollars, it better had for that$$$$$$$
I had also thought of vms publisher - yep we are turning into stalkers but I think maybe she will pop in when she feels she can.
blue well done brave woman, do you feel any different, appart from being a bit holey?
opps look at the time love to allx

bluesatinsash · 12/03/2009 14:56

oh Mollie - sorry to hear TEW got you this month but only a day late is a good sign your cycle is in sync...

Mermaid - I felt very chilled and relaxed last night/today and hardly had my night time asthmatic cough at all, don't know how much is psychosymatic but even getting pampered for 15 minutes at the session is good for the soul .

barbie - I want to see pics of your $$$ hair on fb now! re: bleeding after bd, hmm are your smears up to date? Sometimes it can be down to cervial erosion which is v. common. I would mention to the BUPA Dr when you see him.

Curly - lovely to hear from you and at you and DH undergoing this month's bd with 'military precision'

to all x

bluesatinsash · 12/03/2009 14:57

How did the ultrasound go today Mermaid?

mermaidspurse · 12/03/2009 16:04

gosh! I am normal, well thats a bit of a relief, no nasties lurking. They Checked my kidneys first and I lay there thinking of my bailey fest... apparantly kidneys can be a source of complicaions 'down there' thats my bit of nurse speak! I am retroverted but I knew that anyway and the nurse didn't think that would ever cause problems.
Bless the nhs they kept me seperate from all the lovely fat pregnant ladies. Dread to think what my notes say! So another item crossed off the list. seeing the consultant on Monday with all our results.
blue glad you are ok and chilled, I am going to try it. Then its a leaf out of curlys book and a bit of military planning will have to be done at mermaid HQ!
barbie I hope you had a gold plated coffee cup and very expensive magazines to read at the salon.

VJay · 12/03/2009 17:04

So glad you are normal mermaid

barbie I hope your hair looks fab. I did my temps in degrees F and they went up by about 1 degree when I ovulated, I think when measured in degrees C it's meant to go up just a bit, not very techincal I know sorry.

blue lol at you and your acupuncture and flying round the room, or not, but still very funny.

Ds wants to go on the computer now so will have to go xxx

barbie1 · 13/03/2009 10:03

mermaid glad you are normal! what are your consultants looking for on monday? hope you get soome answers

blue all my smears are up to date but will mention it at my appointment when ever that is

My hair took a whole 4 hours, my bum was numb by the time we had finshed its not as blonde as i thought it would be but then i dont think i would want it any blonder? couldnt be doing with roots every few weeks. I guess i just expected to look like sienna miller or heidi klum after spending that much money, sadly im still me, so i guess im some what disapointed! Dont know what i expected really but i did get loads of magazines to read!!! I think my hair looks a little grey due to the toner so im hoping one i wash it it will brighten up some what....oh to have baby blonde hair

We are having a bbq today with a couple we met last weekend who was get on very well with, its nice to finally have friends, although i have a thumping headache and have been feeling really tired over last two days...hope im not coming down with anything?

Hope you all have a good weekend much love as always

Barbie (with the grey hair!) x

GracieGirl · 13/03/2009 10:15

Morning all!

Glad everything's normal Mermaid.
Barbie this temping lark sounds complicated, I might try it if a few months of using ovulation kits doesn't work.

The bleeding that I've decided must have been my AF is over with now, I'm on day 7. DH will be home for days 8 and 9, 13, 18 and 23. They're not quite the right days, but hey worth a go I guess! I'm usually about 32 days, but who knows, anything could happen now I guess.

Staying calm and not thinking about it - honest! That's whats great about Mumsnet, people in RL think I'm calm and chilled about conceiving again - how easily are they fooled!!

bluesatinsash · 13/03/2009 13:43

Hey gals!

I'm loving the new red nose day smiley's !

barbie - I'm sure your hair is gorg. a la sienna! Great to hear you've made friends and having a bbq, hope your sore head clears up.

Mermaid - good news re: your ultrasound, good luck for Monday.

Gracie - know what you mean re: RL = chilled/on here = aaargh!

Have a great weekend everyone, I'm chilling tonight and going out for dinner for friend's b'day tomorrow (in Edinburgh cue lots of Oirish cutting about ) but I'm driving as DS is staying at Grannies and DH and me would rather have a good sleep than a good drink!

barbie1 · 16/03/2009 14:51

Where is everyone????

Barbie walks around checking under the cushions and behind the sofa...............

Just wanted to say good luck for tomorrow sabs if you are still lurking?

I have been so so so tired hence not posting, and my boobies are sore, dh even pointed out that was what i was like last time i was preggers did test and neg so i guess im coming down with something.
Bupa card finally arrived so im booking the appointment once and for all!

Hope everyone is ok?

OP posts:
bluesatinsash · 16/03/2009 16:05

to all x

Sabs1981 · 16/03/2009 21:02

Hello ladies, sorry i havent posted for a while. I have been lurking, but didnt want to bring anyone down with sad thoughts. I had last week off work (using up leave) but another reason i chose to take last week off was cos i was 11 weeks when i miscarried last time, and I was 11 weeks last week, so i was soo worried of history repeating itself. Also DH got made redundant which is not the best timing. He also got made redundant last year so has been really having bad luck so i need to stay positive and strong for him

Have my scan tomorrow at 10am. If all goes well, im going to tell people at work and will try my best to post a sneaky post on here to let every1 know how it went... Thank you so so so much to everyone who have posted to wish me luck, you guys are the best!

mm and blue so excited about you guys meeting up tomorrow! Let us know how you get on. sending you lots of baby dust blue barbie thank you so much for cheering me up on FB the other day, especially with your thoughts of some of us who live in london maybe meeting up in september - hopefully me with a massive bump Good luck with booking your appointment

vjay and lionstar hope all's going well for you guys....

mermaid how did it go with the consultant today? i have a retroverted uterus too!

mollie sorry to hear AF got you, hope its your last for the next 9 months

sabs waves to everyone else and hopes i havent depressed anyone.....

Molliemooma · 16/03/2009 21:11

Blue I am sure you will have a wonderful time with MM tomorrow, give her a hug from me
MM Give Blue a hug from me tomorrow
Barbie It has been exceptionally quiet in here lately, hope everyone is OK? So pleased you can finally get to see someone about your missing AF
It might be worth testing again in a few days time, you never know
Sabs Good luck for tomorrow, let us know how you get on x

barbie1 · 17/03/2009 05:21
