hi blue im so much better now thanks....as for doctor i have to go back in three months since last visit, so two more to go. Im keeping note of everything to show her.

I guess im heartbroken at the fact i was so happy to get a positive opk and now its wasted, might not get another for a while. You take it for granted that if you bd on the day there isnt any excuse for it not to happen, if that makes sense?

As soon as i get a job im going to get acupunture, its £70+ a session here

Hi ladies. Quite an emotional day round here today... Have brought chocolate covered brazils to share but Mermaid must promise not to put the nuts back in the bag once she's licked the choc off!!
MLSconceptionguru Definitely going to order a digital thermometer. I thought I'd have to lie there for 5 mins, but 30 secs seems totally do able. Can I start temping on any day or do I need to wait for AF and what am I looking for? LOL at your Spoons story My DH asked why I was laughing but didn't think it would translate well into man world.
Barbie I'm really sorry you've had such a rotten day. Hope your icecream and movie helped. Sleep tight!
Kate AAAARRRGGGHH! Think that's how we both feel about elusive AF. I was always rubbish at hide n seek and you'd think she'd know that by now!
Mermaid It was good that you shared that story about your EDD as the rest of us will feel better about feeling lousy now - if you know what I mean?! I totally get your point about DS. Loads of people have told me to be thabkful for DD and I really am but why should having her make it wrong for me to want another and mourn the loss of the one I couldn't have?
Jools Loved the cat story Am baiting impatiently patiently to hear your test results. Good luck.

Neeko · 09/04/2009 20:31

Jools I meant waiting
Hi to everyone else.

Molliemooma · 09/04/2009 20:31

Barbie I just want to give you such a big cuddle, let it all out lovely you will feel better after (you might look like shit ) Really though it does you good to have a huge cry all the time every once in a while so just let it out. Can you get pre-seed over there? We used it on recommendation and look where it got us 2nd mth of trying, if you can't get it then I'll post you some whilst you are having your accupuncture and getting your body ready for your LO.
Blue How are you holding up this week? Thank you for saying a prayer for me, really appreciate it.
4ever Fantastic news on your test results you sound so happy I so hope that this is the start of all your good luck, enjoy your weekend and get really drunk as it could be your last for a while

babyinacorner · 09/04/2009 20:32

bluesatinsash - yep it no-one puts baby in a corner

barbie - sorry af got you, must be tough - like you said if you do it on the right day it seems like there is no excuse!

4everhopeful - i'm glad you have got some answers now and a way to move forward. I know I have only posted on this thread on the last couple of days but after reading and lurking for so long i feel like i know you all!

Now for a gross tmi question... I'm on day 17 today - my last cycle (straight after mc) was 27 days - soo this cycle i'm thinking i would have ovulated day 13 (hard to tell as im not using ov.sticks) Haven't seen any cm so im guessing. Anyway went to the loo today and wiped and there was cm - yellowy colour and a bit stretchy but breaks at 1-2cm. is this post ov mucous or am i now ovulating?! or could it be sperm finally coming out from day 13 bd?!
I know that I did feel wetter on day 13 but i don't remember seeing any ewcm. The problem is we haven't bd since day 13 so have i blown my chances? should i go for it tonight or is there no point?

any advice gratefully received.

Neeko · 09/04/2009 20:46

Babyinacorner I'm still a roukie (sp?) so my advice may be rubbish but a BD tonight can't do any harm surely? Some websites suggest that creamy mucus can be a sign of successful BDing!

littlebellsmum · 09/04/2009 20:48

Evening ladies - what a day for everyone, it's taken me ages to catch up!
Great news 4ever - at least you now have a problem that you can solve
barbie - you are allowed rubbish days but sorry you had one ( btw, ice cream sounds like a great substitute for mini eggs)
MLS - I'm not sure which made me laugh most, the Spoons comment or the choclate hot cross buns without the crappy rasiny bits!!
DirtyDancingLover - sorry, really don't know, I've never been that clued up about what my body is doing and when
Neeko - thanks for the choclate Brazils, I'm glad I got here before mermaid as there is no risk that they have been ehm " pre sucked"
Joolisim - just think what a waste of money it would be to buy diet stuff that you can't use? You may need the money for baby vests....
Kate - were you really bad in a former life, 3 night shifts over Easter. Focus on that wedding of yours and the honeymoon baby that you are going to make!
Has anyone seen GracieGirl recently? It seems quiet without her!
Waves to everyone else - Happy Mini Egg Easter

PS My not symptom spotting is going well - definetly feel a bit quesy this pm ( but it could be due to all the crap I've just eaten for tea, not to mention the two glasses of wine that tasted quite metallic. Could that be a sign - yes of cheap wine, I think!

Neeko · 09/04/2009 20:51

Littlebellsmum Life's too short to drink cheap wine! Loved the "pre sucked" comment!!

littlebellsmum · 09/04/2009 20:52

Tis true - it wasn't actually cheap, but had probably been open too long!!

Neeko · 09/04/2009 20:56

Methinks you're trying too hard not to symptom spot! Is it too early to test?

littlebellsmum · 09/04/2009 21:04

OMG it is far too early to test and I don't have any tests in the house to stop any temptation! But I do have the link to babymad ...

babyinacorner · 09/04/2009 21:07

Thanks neeko and littlebells - ooh i like the idea of it being a sign of successful bd'ing!

yeah you are right -another night of getting my bits out won't harm though

Neeko · 09/04/2009 21:08

Yes but DISASTER I've just been on for pre-seed and thermometer and it's shut til the 17th!!! Rubbish or what?

Neeko · 09/04/2009 21:10

Sorry we crossed. I mean Babymad is shut, not your bits! Hee Hee

Joolsiam · 09/04/2009 21:14
MummyLovesSadie · 09/04/2009 21:15

Barbie I'm sure you feel a bit better after your big cry, I always do even though when you are in the midst of it you feel like your whole world is crap & it can't be fixed. Everything is fixable.

Babyinacorner the difference between cm & sperm is that sperm is a bit cloudier & doesn't stretch as far. Day 17 does seem a little late to be ov if your last cycle was about 27 days but your body is getting back to normal so anything could happen. I'd go for it tonight if I were you as ewcm accumulates until the day you ov.... so what have you got to lose? Hey, it's great having people to speak about these things to in such detail isn't it?! Can you imagine our dh's emailing each other like this heehee!

Mollie I'm also on the pre-seed (slime-o-rama) so what you said is very encouraging.

Neeko start temping on your first day of af. Your af days will be a slightly lower temp, you will get a dip when you have ov'd followed by a sudden rise & the rest of the month will stay at the higher temp. The temps will drop at the end of the month if the evil af is flying in on her broomstick. All of this is really easy to interpret if you write it on a chart as opposed to a diary, did you get the link the other day to the charts that I use?

On the last series of Spoons it ended with the husband & wife in hospital & she looked serene with her longed-for new-born baby in her arms. The husband said "darling, can I get you anything else?". "Yes" she said..."ANOTHER FU**ING BABY"!!!! How true!

Neeko try this link:

Neeko · 09/04/2009 21:22

Thanks for the info MLS and love your sense of humour. If anyone had told me 2 months ago that I'd have been happy to talk to "strangers" (sorry ladies) about my sex life and body fluids I'd have thought they were mad. However, now I'm bllody thankful for you all!

LionstarBigPants · 09/04/2009 21:32

barbie, sorry to hear you are feeling down - hope the virtual chocolate and hugs do the trick. Don't know if you can get such stuff over there, but Agnus Castus is meant to be good at regulating luteal phase, especially if it is too short. If you fancy a go I'm sure we could arrange a special delivery from Holland & Barrett!

I'm so impressed with your self-control jools, especially with all the encouragement here!

MLS loving the Spoons sketch

mermaidspurse · 10/04/2009 09:52

jools get those running shoes on and get thee down the chemist. foot tapping now.

barbie1 · 10/04/2009 10:20

jools come on lady, get your fit, toned backside down the the chemist, the suspense is killing me! come on it will cheer me up (barbie is good at emotional blackmail )

thanks to everyone for putting up with yet another of my moods i really do think i should be out of the toddler tantrum stage by now dont you? ffg im 29!!!
A little better today but v bad pmt...i guess the worse it is the stronger the hormones? taking this as a good sign.

mls i must admit i had to re read the last few pages a few times to see the spoon thing everyone is talking about, thought they meant real spoons and was confuzzled! easy done....

How is everyone this easter, i miss not having an egg (how ironic in both senses!)

OP posts:
VJaybigpants · 10/04/2009 11:16

4ever I'm glad your test results showed up something, now you know it can be fixed, good luck xxxxx

barbie I'm right there with you with the homesickness, after seeing all my family and friends over the weekend it's taken me till now to start feeling better again, plus I'm one big hormone at the moment so that doesn't help.

My dh is working all Easter, so it's me and ds. We are going to make some Easter bunnies tomorrow and enjoy eating them, yummy!

VJaybigpants · 10/04/2009 11:17

just realised, we'll be needing a new thread soon, we have all talked so much over the last week or so, like they say , it's good to talk xx

bluesatinsash · 10/04/2009 11:26

Morning (is it? yup only 11am)All,

barbie fingers crossed your pmt follows though to a decent crampy proper AF. Had to at your egg reference. How are you today? Is your DH off for the Easter weekend?

Jools - you take your time girl . I'm like you would rather wait for AF than test and get a BFbloodyN. I loved your Cat-as-soft-toy-thief-story .

Baby and MLS EWCM and sperm confuses me too especially when your bd every day and can't tell the difference!

Hey Mollie love, hope your resting this weekend x

DH and me are off today but DS goes to nursery on a Friday so DH is downstairs watching the golf and I'm about to go to gym to carbon footprint offset all the chocolate I will be eating on Sunday

Wonder if 'Sound of Music' is on on Monday? It's normally always on and I sing all the songs to DS in fact my name here is from 'My favourite things' altogether now .."girl's in white dresses with blue satin sashes, snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes....

I'm away to twirl upon a mountain in Austria x

mermaidspurse · 10/04/2009 11:26

I think jools is too busy handing back chewed loved toys to her neighbours.
at your pmt barbie I agree with lion and had heard that agnus castus was good for balancing poor confused bods. You are going to have to get your next visitor to bring you out a parcel with everything in and just hope the customs don't open it for your friend!
my accupuncture is booked for the 15th, we need a scared smiley for that - and a for £70 blinking quid
blue please tell me your ankles are smaller?

littlebell I am going to keep my fingers very crossed for your symptoms
mls may well have to award you one of my scientific coats and a little medal to go on it but jools has got gold braid on her epilets(sp?)
hope that mollie and lion vjayscamper sabs(hope you enjoyed your birthday?) are being good and putting feet up.
curly and ginger are ok and getting ready for battlestations again.
babyinacorner hope you are ok settling in and and comfy over there

neeko how can babymad go on holiday? very irresponsible, their feedback will plummet!
I keep double testing my sticks this week obsessed moi?

hope everyone has a lovely weekend be it filled with either chocolate or sunshine
