Just on checking for any news from lion heading out soon but will be back later, hope everyone is good today.

Curlywurlee · 20/03/2009 17:57

I don't think Lion's working today as her dc wasn't in the creche. Hopefully everything is okay and she is enjoying a nice glass of orange juice with her ds.

night night Barbie Good luck with the mother of all road trips tomorrow and make sure you get some answers so you can relax and get on with the baby dancing

bluesatinsash · 20/03/2009 20:15

No news from lion still?....

Fab news and well done Mollie loving your 3 P's Plan !!!

Are you lot all drunk now after your early evening sesh in the beer garden? .

4ever - great to hear from you and lovely to hear you had a fab holiday with your lovely DH. I so know what you mean about your 'soul being damaged' but you will get your longed for lo one day, I just know it.

Have had a bit of a rubbish day myself, AF came 3 days early (the old boot) and colleage had her 12 week scan (having had one at 5 and 7 wks as she is on Crohns medication) which she txtd me about (I had asked her to as I was working off-site today). Couldn't help but feel then felt awful for feeling that way as I'm over the moon for her. Then felt all 'woe is me' all afternoon - EDD round the corner for first lost lo (6th April) and I should be on mat leave soaking up the sun rather than ttc and well, you all know how it is...

But I logged on here and felt instantly better just catching up with posts and DH and DS have been papering me all evening (well I've ben pampering DS )so onwards and upwards to next month.

MM - hope your work is OK and flies in.

barbie - good luck with the driving, you'll be fine, let us know how you get on at the docs x

I'm off to drown myself in a large glass, snickers bar and Grey's Anatomy - later all xxx

MM

Lionstar · 20/03/2009 21:04

Girls, girls - sorry to have kept you all hanging on, but ... it's GOOD news

So there was a bubba bouncing around like crazy and the sonographer was having a hell of a time trying to take any measurements. All right size, two arms, two legs etc, I cried and laughed in equal measure.

DP was an absolute angel, he hadn't let on that he'd taken the whole day off, so when we came out (took 2 hours!!) he bundled us off to Saville Gardens where we had a lovely walk in the spring sunshine and a yummy lunch. Then we stopped at MILs on the way back and as soon as she opened the door DD said "there's a baby in the tummy" so rather let the cat out of the bag (though we were going to tell anyway).

Thanks all for your levely words of support - it has really helped get me through my doubts. I hope I can relax a bit more about the whole thing now. And I also so hope that it won't be long before I can be passing on the support and love to everyone as your time comes!

Joolsiam · 20/03/2009 21:11

HOOOORAAAAYYYY - FAB news indeed Lionstar Blue - enjoy your wine - I'll raise a glass with you

Mollie - so pleased for you

Barbie - good luck with the driving and the docs

GracieGirl · 20/03/2009 21:13

Lion that's brilliant news! I've been on a 13 hour shift at work today and have been worrying about you! I'm so pleased its good news!

I can't believe missed your afternoon virtual drinking session whilst i was hard at work!!! Can I join in now??

GracieGirl · 20/03/2009 21:28

I'm glad you enjoyed your holiday 4ever - we missed you! Hoping your BD'ing worked.

Curly your line describing us lot after miscarriage is legendary - its so exactly right. "It's more like onwards and upwards then downwards and sideways, and hopefully onwards and upwards again". That is completely how I feel.

I'm on day 14 since I last had some random bleeding so I did an ovulation test. Its positive. Now what???? I think that means I'll ovulate in the next 24 hours. My DH is miles away, I'm on 3 long days at work and he's on 3 nights. There isn't a single second when one of us isn't at work until Monday. We BD last night - will that do??? I'm sooooo tempted to call in sick and hit the motorway!! Maybe Monday will be ok.

Curlywurlee · 20/03/2009 21:33

Phew Lionstar we really must stop worrying so much. That sounds so wonderful sweetie. Now bossy curly is going to insist that you sit back and enjoy your pregnancy

4ever I know exactly how you feel. Today was my due date for my first lo, work is going crap and all I can think of is that I should be on maternity leave, getting the nursery ready. I'm sending a massive hug your way honey. And maybe AF's arrival is simply the first day of your pregnancy, and so is actually a wonderful thing.

I'm off to open a bottle of wine (shocking I know after spending the afternoon in the pub with you lot ) and start this military campaign

Curlywurlee · 20/03/2009 21:38

Sorry Gracie doing some crossposting I think the day before ovulation is when the ewcm (yuck) is like an egg white. And that's the time to do it!!

On the other hand, get in that car and go forth and conquer

mm1509 · 20/03/2009 22:15

Been at a 'ladies night' with DD's school, so bottle of wine later had to check on lion. Fantastic news like I said to sabs before you will never forget this day....................wine makes mm very nostalgic remembering DD's scan all those years ago. Will catch up with all you lovely ladies tomorrow.

barbie1 · 21/03/2009 03:16

blue do you know we share the same edd? so im going to hold your hand and you can hold mine too....in fact i think we should get another bottle of wine and some choccies and sit together, what do you think?

GracieGirl · 21/03/2009 06:17

6am and getting ready for work (though I'd love to be driving down the motorway to my DH for some ovulation BD'ing! ).
Barbie I hope driving to the docs isn't too stressful.

VJay · 21/03/2009 09:04

Oh I'm so pleased for you lion congrats to you and DH xxx

Goodluck today at the docs barbie, fill us all in when you get back.

Gracie you may be ok with bding the night before, they say bd from day 10 onwards, or something like that, so fingers crossed, you never know

barbie1 · 21/03/2009 09:13

Im back....phew wasnt too bad at all, only made one mistake where i had to go around a roundabout twice but im blaming the other drivers for that

My doctor was the nicest person ever, an english lady who had so much compassion that i cried with relieve when she said she would help me which in turn made her cry! she listened to everything and in the end ordered me to have 4 blood test, one for thyroid and ltc and two others she said we should check out levels of oestrogen and progestren but as we didnt know where in the cycle i am it was impossible to do this. She is checking that my brain is producing the chemicles that it needs to tell the rest of me to ovulate. And on top of all this she has ordered an internal scan for tomorrow morning to see if the wombs lining is correct, to see how many follicles there are and the check for pco.....oh and she wants to check out my cyst too. I should have all the answers by tues and then ill go back in and see what the next step is. I really could of hugged her
She seems to think that the coil might be more to blame for the lack of periods and the mc has kind of just got in the way of my body getting back to normal.......

sorry its all me me me just so relieved that someone is finally listening! (apart from you lot)

OP posts:
VJay · 21/03/2009 09:29

Your doctor sounds fab barbie I'm really pleased for you, it sounds like you will get some answers at last.
Did you have the mirena coil in before you got pregnant, because I had mine taken out last April, got pg straight away then had 1st mc in June, I was convinced it had something to do with the coil.

What is everyone up to today? I think we're off to the park/beach for a walk, then it's the mountain of ironing for me....wupdedoo!

mermaidspurse · 21/03/2009 09:33

lion yipee so pleased and relieved all rolled into one.x
barbie fantastic news, a full mot and a lovely Dr.
Have a fab weekend girls.x

barbie1 · 21/03/2009 09:33

vjay yes i had the mirena and got pregnant 3 weeks after and i too blame the bloody thing.....one doctor told me that there is a higher risk of mc with it. I wish they told me sooner

Im going to laze by the pool, first time out in days and its only a 2 min walk from house so i can come home if i feel unwell, i hope your day is a nice one, sod the ironing

OP posts:
VJay · 21/03/2009 09:45

Oooooh have a nice time by the pool . It's a bit cloudy up here today, but I'm determined to get ds down to the park to burn off some of his energy.

bluesatinsash · 21/03/2009 10:22

FANTASTIC news lion and what a lovely DH you have . Enjoy everything!!!!

GREAT news barbie and 'much respect' to your Doctor for giving you the fully MOT and starting to address things at last (I've read about coil and Lesley Reagan advises not to use them for contraception 'cause of higher mc threat' bloody Docs should tell yo that before fitting them!). And to only have to wait until tues for results is brilliant , you can start to plan... Oh hun, I didn't know we had same EDD so yes hand holding and wine drinking sounds good to me .

I'm off to the gym for my i-pod fix then DH, DS and me are washing the cars (and removing all the raisins scattered from DS) as we get our new car on Thurs and i'm hoping as its a Volvo that is has some amazing fertility powers . Off to the park ths avvo as its is GLORIOUS here!

Love to all xxxxxxxx

Lionstar · 21/03/2009 14:34

barbie, and everyone else I'm so to have put you through any amount of worry. I was thinking all day about getting back to the board to post, just with the busy day we had it was the earliest I could do - sorry though.

Can't stop now either, we're off to visit a friend with a newborn (glad we arranged it for after the scan) and have a batch of apple muffins in the oven for her - musn't burn them. I'll be back later to have a proper read and respond then.

Thanks again for all your lovely support

VJay · 21/03/2009 15:42
