Hello ladies,

First of all I want to thank blue for a wonderful afternoon and yes the sun really did come out in Glasgow.............in March!!!! Your DS is absolutely adorable and is so well behaved, he did have fun chasing the pigeons in George Square. I've now met both blue and barbie and I have to say it is even better when you meet in RL, can't wait till we all meet up some day.

barbie oh you poor soul, sending you some TLC your way, hope it doesn't last long hun. Glad you got your appointment sorted out for Sat, let us know how you get on.

sabs wonderful news on your scan, oh to see your lo waving and moving around, it's a day you will never forget.

lion all the good news on here is contagious and it will be very catching for you also, I know the nerves will kick in but soon we can read about your lo waving too.

jools don't feel a fraud for not ttc, we are still not ttc yet due to work issues so you are not the only one, hopefully we will both be back ttc soon when we sort everything out. And give yourself a pat on the back for the weight you've lost, good for you girl!!!

mermaid sorry about your results, they would have hit hard. No need to make any decisions right now as regards IVF, take time out and do what feels right for you and your family. Keep giving DS hugs, they make everything better.

mollie hope you are feeling ok, been thinking about you this week xxx.

vjay 17 weeks wow, it really does go fast...............well it does once you get that 12 week scan out the way. I can imagine your bump is growing nicely, how exciting.

Big waves to everyone, I'm going to enjoy the sunshine while it lasts, take care xxx.

mermaidspurse · 18/03/2009 14:19

jools huge wave honey, you so do belong,I was lurking on the grapefruit thread the other day and I really should have crashed in and given you a hug, so here is a belated one now. I wish our men had their own mn but I expect half of them would sit there in manly silence. It is so good to think about getting healthy its a good channel for all our emotions. I have found the gym with no mascara, mirrors or men,it only takes half an hour so its doable and I absolutely love it. Might be worth a thought, its really helped with muscle tone and core strength and above all its helped my poor head. Opps gone a bit evangelical about excercise sorry
barbie oh poor sick you, the worst kind of yukky. But I have to say horray for your af -she must have been scared by the drs appt. Rest lots and try some boiled water.x
mm nice to think of you and blue in the sunshine.
I feel a bit more ok today, its just a bother papering over all the cracks again. Hope everyone has a sunny afternoon.

barbie1 · 19/03/2009 08:23

Still feel awful...i think its food poisening caught from dh, i had no idea that it could be passed from one person to another but after googling at 3am this morning due to not being able to sleep aparently so

Still spotting so im guessing this is my af, guess im going to just have extra light ones. I think the last spotting was about 29 days ago so i guess it makes sense

jools i missed your last post for some reason was thinking about you the other day wondering where you had gone too. Please dont be put off by the thread title, i just wanted out of the mc section. We are still the same bunch of girls, babies or no babies we are here to talk and support each other, you too congrats on your weight loss, my i suggest you get food poisening as its another way to loose weight, although not quite so pleasent! please come back from time to time, we miss you x

bluesatinsash · 19/03/2009 12:41

oh barbie food poisoning is horrible, hope you're getting plenty rest and keeping your fluid intake up. Yay! that AF is back on a kinda 28 cycle, have you got a list of things to ask your Doc on Sat?

Lovely to hear from you Jools and congrats on losing weight. Totally understand why your just dipping in and out just now, glad that you and your DP are working things through.

Mermaid - how are you today?

Mollie how is work this week?

Its an amazingly sunny day up here and its sooo good for the spirits. I just feel like I've been 'grey' since September and only now do I feel like little colour is entering my life now that spring is here .

Lion - will be thinking about you tomorrow x

Hey MM - DH has definately decided to go for the Volvo and we pick it up next Thurs - just in time for our trip down south - its soo snazzy (God I'm a volvo owner and officially middle aged ).

to Vjay sabs curly and gracie

mermaidspurse · 19/03/2009 13:23

oh blue you have to get some pearls
barbie hope you a little better and yes write a list, if like me it all goes out of head. Really you can catch food poisoning? I never knew that.
lionstar will so be thinking of you tomorrow. Just pace yourself, gets lots of rest and remember, one day at a time
4ever seems to have been on that sunbed and dancing on tables a long time away on holiday.
yes it is so brill when the sun comes back.
ps pre-seed rocks, get some now! seems like its all systems go at mermaid HQ - dh is saying nothing and nor am I! so I think we are going to try again but please please remind me I said trying only one more.x

Curlywurlee · 19/03/2009 18:06

mermaid It is time that your luck turns so visualise that beautiful baby waiting for you and remember that if you and DH have tested normal and you already have a DS, then there is still hope. I'll be right here to hold your hand and who knows maybe we'll be getting those BFPs together

lionstar hope the scan goes well tomorrow. I know it's impossible not to be nervous but VJ is right. This time tomorrow you will have seen your lovely lo and can relax again for a while anyway

VJ I'm so glad time is flying for you now, god knows it must have crawled in those first few weeks Roll on the next three weeks. How is your bump, it must be quite obvious now.

And where is the lovely Scamper hiding? How are you and the bump?

Graciegirl Hope working nights doesn't interfere with bd plans!! I find working days bad enough. The military option has faltered already. Day 11 passed us by as we were both away, so saving up for days 13, 15 and 17 now. I really do share the most intimate stuff with you ladies!

Blue and MM, it is lovely that you've met up in RL. I agree with MM, I remember your DS from that news item you were on, and he looked adorable. MM how is your dd doing? Hope the chickenpox is completely gone and forgotten.

I'm so delighted to see my cycle buddy Jools back on, you're not a fraud you nutter, we need you right here whether you are trying right now or not. I hope things get sorted out for you soon. Given what you have been through in the last year, it would be difficult for it not to put a massive strain on anyone's relationship Well done on the weight loss, it will all be worth it, even if it's slower than you'd like.

Poor Barbie are you feeling any better hon? What rotten luck, you are meant to be enjoying your work free days. Hope AF has made up her mind and decided to do her job this time so things can get back to normal for you. Fab news that you are going to the consultant though (Curly will stop pacing on your behalf now )

Molly hope you got through the anniversary okay. Tomorrow is the day my first lo was due. I'm trying to distract myself with DIY at the moment rather than think about it. I know about four people who are due in the next two weeks and it's so hard not to resent them slightly

Anyway back to the DIY and tomorrow operation Insemmination commences

Big waves to Sabs, Zen, Ginger, 4ever, and VM

GracieGirl · 19/03/2009 20:04

Lion - Thinking about you for tomorrow.

Sabs1981 · 19/03/2009 20:47

lionstar want to also add my good luck wishes..what time is your appointment? I'll be thinking of you. I'm sure all will go fine, like it did with me....

hello to every1 else and thank u all for ur messages. Will post again properly soon...

Lionstar · 19/03/2009 20:59

You guys are lovely - thanks for all your good wishes, I'm shedding a little tear or two (emotional pg lady alert). Scan at 9.45am tomorrow, we have to take DD as it isn't a nursery day - hope they don't mind. It will help to distract me anyway. Don't know if I'll be able to sleep tonight, everytime I think about it I get dry mouth & shakes.

jools sorry to hear your relationship issues are not resolved, but best to get things on a more even keel before turning into the emotional pg lady! Think your weightloss regieme sounds great - not healthy to loose it too quickly anyway.

barbie I really hope you are feeling better soon, sounds really awful - plus having to tolerate af too. Poor thing.

mermaid so glad you feel up to trying again, I so have everything crossed for you that this is your time - have fun trying too

Curly good luck with that too!

Hi to everyone else

mm1509 · 19/03/2009 22:09

Oh Lion is in there right now, think sparkly thoughts everyone.

VJay · 20/03/2009 10:24

I'm back to refreshing my page for a while waiting for lions news

blue it's lovely and sunny up here too, it does soooo lift the mood. As for your volvo, my dh alwasys says 'bloody volvo drivers' but that's only because my dad, sister and nan drive one, and you know how they love their inlaws. I like a volvo

barbie hope you are feeling better hun. Plus it sounds like you have a cycle back yey

Good news from me, I have had my results back from the afp test, and I'm low risk for downs and spina bifida. I had a few tears when I saw the result. I can feel myself starting to enjoy this pregnancy now, and curly my bump is getting very obvious, I have had people ask me over the last couple of days if I'm pg, good job I am hey

barbie1 · 20/03/2009 10:28

still no news.......

OP posts:
VJay · 20/03/2009 10:33

I'm sat here refreshing away!

barbie1 · 20/03/2009 10:42

god its frustrating isnt it???

As for me, im soooo tired not eaten anything for days now but least i can fit into some on my older clothes that i bought over with me! starting to feel a little more human.....my af has all but gone so it was only 3 days of very slight spotting come the end.

Dh has to go away tomorrow for 5 days so im going to be left alone, i was going to cancel the doctors but im going to be brave and go myself and even attempt to get from one side of dubai to the other driving alone...wish me luck

OP posts:
Joolsiam · 20/03/2009 10:45

I'm lurking too - waiting for news

Glad you are starting to feel better Barbie I had bad gastroenteritis last year - was off work, in bed, doubled up with cramps and eating nothing for a month - just hideous

VJay · 20/03/2009 10:47

Ooooh good luck barbie with the driving, you are a brave girlie. My friend has always had an af that is light and lasts only 2 - 3 days, so don't worry too much about it, it is good you are getting to the doctors though.
I'm sat hear working on another maths assignment, I'm not just refreshing my page, honest

barbie1 · 20/03/2009 10:53

A month jools? gosh it was bad enough for 3 days....the chemist thinks we could have gastroenteritis too or food poisening, whatever is was i dont want it back any time soon. Im glad you are lurking, our old gang is back!!!

OP posts:
Joolsiam · 20/03/2009 11:03

Barbie - 2 days before I fell ill, I'd spent some time in Hemel Hempstead A&E with my other half - he has epilepsy and had a particularly bad time, so I had to get an ambulance out to him.

To this day, I am convinced that I picked the bug up in the hospital. There is a suspicion that it might have actually been one of the scary ones - C Diff

I have never ever been so ill in my life - maybe TMI but I remember having AF and being so dehydrated, there was nothing there - I got in the bath to ease the cramps and it all sort of washed out of me . At one stage, my temperature was so high, I was having mild convulsions - very very scary

barbie1 · 20/03/2009 11:07

bloody hell jools that is scary....i have spent so long in the bath just to stop the aching, the warmth tends to stop the cramping....

Where is lion its wierd as im further a head then you, 4 hours so ive been waiting for hours longer because i forgot the time difference!

OP posts:
mermaidspurse · 20/03/2009 11:08

barbie glad you are feeling better today and well done for feeling brave enough to drive across town - I imagine a Penelope Pitstop vision zooming along
vjay huge big gold star for you with your test results, it must be a truly lovely feeling.
morning jools you ok lovely lady?
curly hi gorgeous! I am on cd12, I cant beleive I even know that,(jools would be proud of me) so I will keep my fingers crossed and think very sticky thoughts for you.x
Right have to work, no sidetracking now....love to allx

Joolsiam · 20/03/2009 11:13

Meant to say to everyone - particularly Curly and Mermaid - thankyou so very much for your wise, cheery and encouraging comments - it really does help

No more weight movement on the scales, but my hairdresser and my MIL both told me I'd lost weight yesterday Still worried about lack of BD action, but I have just over 4 weeks to sort that out, as I've told myself I'm not even going to try this cycle - am going for 4 more weeks of good weight loss instead.

Mermaid your luck MUST change sometime soon. I am in awe of your positive attitude. Very impressed with the CD comments aswell

CD6 for me, not that I'm counting this month. I don't think I ovulated last month, after starting the diet so fingers crossed things sort themselves out in the next few weeks

mermaidspurse · 20/03/2009 11:25

jools I really do think that the longer you wait/lurk and get your body tippititop the better. Love you heaps,we will all get there

4everhopeful · 20/03/2009 12:36

Hello ladies! I'm back from Egypt, tanned, rested and a bit of post hol blues... Took me an age to read through and catch up!

Good to hear your news sabs vjay, waiting to hear from lionstar too!?

barbie hope you're feeling better now too?

Big waves to curly blue mm jools and gracie... mermaid sweetie - sorry no answers for you from your tests, and sorry lo had trisomy 7. My 3rd one had that, Edwards or downs. We knew from week 11 scan & nuchal fold, put under fetal meds, and lost her on week 13. It is meant to be random as our parental chromosome results are normal should only be a one off, but strange me & you are in the same boat and same amount of MCs?

Did lots of BD on hol and ovulated day before we left so maybe am PG again now?! We made no 3 on hol in Cyprus so maybe? Am having post hol blues quite bad, and took a few days to really relax into hol, only then did I realise how much stress was bottled up! Didnt actually dance on tables, came close one night! But we did let our hair down, relax and very much enjoy the free drink and food! Great to spend so much quality time with my lovely DH and horrid being back at work now! Feeling very apprehensive about poss PG. Read about you girls acupuncture and am now thinking should try anything and everything so will see...

xxxxxxxx
