Please don't be offended if you're not named, you're still welcome, I just have a rubbish memory. I can see a couple of you on November thread but there's a whole load of people not there. Just wondering if you wanted a little thread to keep in touch?

Headfairy - just replied to you on grapefruit thread. So sorry about your sad news. Was hoping a new thread might provide you with support from old friends.

And Sunnydale, I know you're wary of new threads, so though you might also like the company of old friends.

Wishing and Bubble having your weird long cycles and missing whole month's threads, thought this might be one for you too.

So what do you say? I'll start a list just in case:

Issy, ttc#1, cycle 14, ucl 28ish, cd 23/10dpo, mc Mar08, cp Sep08, IVF in April.

hey everyone

sorry... i havent managed to keep up, been busy with stressing

so who is all on the dreaded wait then?? wish you all luck ladies

just thought i would let you all know the latest.....

I went back to my doctor as i really wasnt happy with the last visit... i demanded a different doctor and she is doing tests as she thinks i could have polycystic ovaries , I will get my results in about 10 days. She said she is going to refer me to a fertility clinic depending on the results. has anyone had any experiences with this sort of thing?

wasabipeanut · 03/04/2009 13:44

Hi everyone

Hope we all have that friday feeling. I am feeling much perkier today after several days of feeling like shite. Still have a slight sore throat but not a patch of before. I am cured. Hooray!

Blue - hope you had a lovely anniversary stay at your posh hotel

Irishmum - my god you must be going potty. I really hope you get some clarification soon! (Of the positive sort of course)

Suzi - sorry I've not had any experience of PCOS but there are lots on conception boards that have.

Sif I loved your mention of the san. Took me back to my Malory Towers and St. Clares reading years.

Oh I am so loving these bunny emoticons.

bluesatinsash · 03/04/2009 16:15

oooh, wasabi - totally loving the bunny ears too glad your full of Friday feelings!

Suzybhoy - hope you get somewhere with your new Doctor, what makes her think you have PCOS?

Irish - waiting until day 40 hope you get a BFP at the end of it!!

I got a +ve OPK this morning - - CD 15 and I was beginning to worry that I wasn't going to ovulate this month. AF did come early so maybe that threw the days off. DH and me had a lovely night away thanks, we were upgraded to a suite and made the most of it . Retired after dinner and stayed up to 12.30am watching Sex and the City on DVD in bed - totally cream crackered today but at least DS is at nursery.

Its soo glorious up here really warm and sunny - have a good weekend everyone, let the 2ww commence x

SuziBhoy · 03/04/2009 16:33

hey blue thanks. my doc said that all my symptoms point to PCOS, so shes takin all the tests and i will find out within 10 days, but she said she will refer me to a fertility clinic once i have my results back. Im actually a little relieved that i might get some answers for once!!

good luck on your 2ww

Bubblebell1 · 03/04/2009 19:54

Hey everyone!

Wow bunny smileys!

Hope your all well and happy.

Happy anniversary Blue for yesterday!

irish sorry that it wasnt a bfp! I hope you get 1 soon

glad your feeling better wasab!

Suzi im glad you finally got to speak to a half decent dr. i hope they can finally give you some answers.

hope you all have a good weekend.

HeadFairy · 03/04/2009 21:45

Hi everyone...

I'm at my mum and dad's for a weekend while dh is on his stag do... (right at fertile peak for me - doh!) so just a quickie from me.

blue - glad you had a wonderful anniversary, sounds absolutely lovely! May the 2ww fly by!

Suzi - I'm glad you're finally getting some answers. I don't know much about PCOS, I was tested for it when I was ttc ds, but I know although it does reduce fertility it's not impossible to get pg with it. Doesn't Louise Redknapp have it? I think she's just had her second. I think Posh also has it, hence her bad skin and extreme dieting (I seem to remember weight gain being a symptom - sadly my porkiness is purely down to greed). At least once you know what you're dealing with you can take the correct steps to fix it without floundering around in the dark trying everything.

Wasabi so glad you're feeling better. Such a relief when you finally come out the other end of a cold isn't it?

irish good luck with your wait to cd40. That's very impressive. Hope you get your bfp at the end of it.

Hope everyone else is good. I'm off to be spoiled rotten (mum is handing me a cuppa and some biscuits as I type - never get that kind of service at home )

Xmas Grin bunny hugs to you all xx

HeadFairy · 03/04/2009 21:46

ooops that was meant to be "" bunny hugs to you all xx

bluesatinsash · 05/04/2009 22:04

Hi guys just a quickie as I go back to work tomorrow (boo) and might not get the chance to log on (hell who am I kidding ?)

Head - hope you and DS were royally spoiled at your Mum and Dads and your DH has returned from his stag do all horny and up for the job in hand .

Suzi - I've also read that Jools (just had her third) Oliver has PCOS and conceived her 1st on her first round of clomid. Hope you get some answers soon.

Well DH and me managed six (count them) bd sessions this week, so if AF comes it won't be for want of trying .

Only two day week for me as off on Good Friday - yay!

Have a great week and catch up soon tomorrow.

irishmumwannabe · 06/04/2009 08:58

Hey ladies just a quick one before work starts in earnest

AF arrived this morning so looks liek I'm ouit for this month - ah well at least I know now and can jsut start eth whole roundabout again - but 35 days - never before.

will post later to make up for this short one.

HeadFairy · 06/04/2009 09:39

irish. Sorry she got you.

Morning everyone else.. I hope the return to work isn't too painful blue, nice short week though (not for me, I'm working Easter weekend )

I'm very impressed at your dedication this month... dh didn't get too drunk at the stag do. I think they're all getting too old, they didn't even go to a titty bar as I totally expected. They're all in their late 30s or 40s so there was much talk of golf handicaps and after a 1am curry they all went to bed. So dh came home in relatively good shape, no grumbling about hangovers and not being up to the job in hand.

I'm on the countdown now... not to af, but to the time I can have some chocolate!! Yippeeeee, only 5 days after today!!! Unfortunately I can't have a drink as I'll be working easter Sunday (oh and a little matter of 2ww but you know I'm going to throw caution to the wind this month and have a glass of wine on Bank hol Monday). I sit and browse the Hotel Chocolat website like a junkie searching for her next fix

Bubblebell1 · 06/04/2009 10:41

Hi girls!

hope your all ok...

sorry that AF got you Irish fingers crossed for this next cycle.

Blue wow i take my hat off to you... i dont think ive managed 6 times this whole month still af is due between fri and mon so i will know if our attempts have worked soon enough.

HF i hope you had a lovely time at your parents. that you are working easter wkend but pleased the choc and wine ban is coming to an end.

issy how is/was your break in the lakes?

how is everyone else?? its been quiet in here. where are u all? Sif, girl, suzi, wasab and any others ive missed.

wasabipeanut · 06/04/2009 14:25

irish I'm really sorry that AF got you. When you have these randomly long cycles it just messes with your head.

Headfairy I am most impressed with your self discipline. Not long to go now! Your dh sounds similar to mine! He used to be a proper party animal (as, indeed, did I) but now any nights out with the boys tend to end a little earlier than they used to and with less beer 'n fag breath.

Blue - enjoy your short working week. You have been a busy, er, bunny indeed

Suzi - I'm glad that you seem to have found a sympathetic doctor and that soon you will know whats going on.

No news from me really. Trying not to obsess this month so we'll see what happens. I really can't deal with the same degree of post AF trauma as occured this month.

girlwithacurl · 06/04/2009 16:58

Hi everyone, sorry to have gone quite, had two really high temps on Sat & sun so thought I had ov'd early and missed it, but then low today and loads of EWCM, yehay!!! neg opk, but i suspect tomorrow or weds will be D day.

irish sorry AF got you, are you going to try any thing new this cycle?

head don't overdose on the chocolate come Easter Xmas Grin!!! hope you had a lovely time being spoiled this weekend.

suzie hope you get some answers soon!!

Hi to everyone else, blue, issy wasabi bubble hope you girls are all doing well?

JumpingJellyfish · 06/04/2009 21:01

Good evening ladies

irish I am so so sorry the evil witch got you, especially after so long. That just isn't fair. Wishing you tonnes of baby dust for the next cycle. You will get your BFP hun.

Sorry only popping on quickly as actually meant to do some work tonight... All fairly quiet in our camp, I managed to get a pretty nasty tummy bug which started last Thurs til Sat, really, erm, cleaned out my insides! At first I was worried it was the dreaded m.s., but thank god it was a bug as I haven't been so sick for years. All back to normal now, and no real symptoms at all...odd cramps occassionally, some lightheadedness and very mild nausea but nothing much- but for me symptoms usually don't start until after 6 weeks or so. Desperately trying to keep plugging away at my thesis in the eves before the tiredness starts to really kick in.

Have to admit am feeling quite wobbly about the whole pregnancy thing...It's so hard not to be able to even share it with my mum, and I've been reading about experiences of medical terminations and I am finding it all quite hard to cope with. So I am now just in denial about being pregnant (though still of course taking folic acid etc.), and am praying... Wish I could fast forward to the end of May.

I always knew having children would be a bigger rollercoaster than anything I could imagine, but never in my wildest dreams did I think we'd be faced with cvs tests and agonising decisions etc...and yet I know I have this time got pregnant in full knowledge of what we've decided to do....

Sorry know this is not the place to waffle about all this, especially as so many of you have plenty of heartbreak you are enduring too.

so much for the short post. Sorry it's been so self-centred. Just can't talk about this in rl really at all, and don't want to start threads about such agonising as don't wish to inadvertently offend people. I'm very sorry if this does offend anyone by the way.

Right, back to the joys of Irish Sea oceanography....

Much love to you all- really wishing you lots & lots of happy healthy baby dust xx

HeadFairy · 07/04/2009 09:21

Hi jumping don't worry about coming on here for a rant, that's what it's for.

So tell me more about the oceanography of the Irish sea Actually, in my yooff I was very into scuba diving, did loads around the UK and was really in to all things ocean related - though the warmer oceans were my favourite, natch. I have a friend who runs a dive centre in Mexico off the sea of Cortez. He does lots of filming with the BBC natural history department and the Discovery channel and he's well in to oceanography. Some of his interest in all things sea related have rubbed off on me.

bluesatinsash · 07/04/2009 14:22

Hi ladies,

Didn't know if I would get on today as DS has started to resist his afternon nap (nooooo!).

Jumping hope you felt better after writing everything down last night. Its a tough time for you and I just want you to know we're here and thinking about you. I know your situation is different but I suspect I'll be deemed 'high risk' with my next pg and will have to decide whether to do amnio etc. but have that 'I'll cross that bridge when I come to it' attitude as there's so much bloody else to worry about .

I'm v. impressed with your thesis I can't begin to know what its about but you've found a kindred spirit in Head .

Head glad your DH was 'fit for purpose' on Sunday lol at stags of old v of now - all comparing golf handicaps and retiring after the curry that's sooo true. Not long know 'til you can drizzle yourself in chocolate .

Hey sif I'm assuming you still have no mn connection at work - pants and double pants. hope your 2ww is flying in (yet right).

Fingers crossed girl for +ve OPK...

to bubble suzi Izzy wasabi Irish

HeadFairy · 07/04/2009 14:55

I'm a water baby blue... in it, on it or under it, I love it

girlwithacurl · 07/04/2009 16:29

Hi everyone, Sorry you are feeling down jellyfish I am a bit today as well, and will join you in a self indulgent wallow if no one else minds (not that you were but you know what I mean )
So after 6 cycles of 40 my body seems to have decided to play a nasty trick on me and throw in a 32 day cycle. My temps have been high for 3 days, with one low one thrown in to confuse me naturally. I have loads of CM, and didn;t have any last week, but FF has me down at 5DPO which means we have no chance for this cycle as we definitly didn't BD anywhere near the right time... so apart from being pleased at getting my old cycles back, I am really annoyed that we have missed out on another month. I was also supposed to do a DC28 test this month, but I din't know when the hell to go as I am really sure when I did ov. arrrgg. I could just sit and cry really. What does it have to be sooo hard.

sorry, totally self indulgent, just cant take much more of this!

HeadFairy · 07/04/2009 16:32

for jumping

irishmumwannabe · 07/04/2009 18:10

HI Jellyfish and girl - so sorry to hear about your down moods at the mo but we are all here to listen to you and give advice or just agree to what you are saying. I hope you are feeling better soon.

Hello to everyone else - jsut getting out of work now so only a quick post - after licking my wounds for the past 24 hours have decided there's nothign for it but to get back on the horse (so to speak ) OPKS are being purchased and will attack DH with renewed venom this month - especially when we get a +.

Blue hope your DS goes back to afternoon naps. Had to look after my DN yesterday when he had no nap in the afternoon - he was a little monster!

see you all tomorrow.

littlepea72 · 08/04/2009 07:37

I keep not posting because I haven't caught up, but each day I don't post catching up takes longer so I figured I'd better just jump back in here and apologise for lack of personals. Sorry to those who got AF and good luck to those about to test .

I've now done 6 of my IVF injections and am sure I'm eventually going to run out of non-tender areas to inject. Only got 2 big bruises so far though. The nurse told me that it was OK to ttc this cycle as they don't think the drugs affect a pg but I googled to find out if they interfere with a pg test and all I could find was 'must do a pg test before starting this drug' everywhere, as high doses have caused deformities in rat babies, so even though it's 3 days early I started testing this morning so that I can stop the drug asap if I am pg. Was BFN - not surprised as think bd was too late. My IVF clinic has come out 2nd in the UK (for under-35s, newspaper article doesn't mention older women like me) in the recent results published by the HFEA, so am feeling hopeful for the IVF next month.

Spent yesterday evening helping my 8-month pg friend sort out her birth plan. So excited for her, just hope it's my turn soon.

Good luck everyone.

Hi littlepea how are you - what's going on with you these days? Same as Issy I can't remember if you are pg - sorry.

Issy ow for the injection bruises - well done for doing them yourself - I'm not the biggest fan of needles as you might realise from that. Hope everything goes well for you.

Jumping hope your thesis isn't wrecking your head and that your mood has improved a little.

Hi to everyone else, blue, wasabi, girl, Headfairy, sif [bgrin} to all.

also just on the subject of AF - it was here Monday morning and then disappeared last night. I wish it would make up it's mind - still nauseous so hopefully it'll all sort itself out soon.

Issy42 · 08/04/2009 20:53

Irish - have you done a test? - Could be implantation bleeding or hormonal bleeding [hopeful emoticon].

OP posts:
bluesatinsash · 08/04/2009 21:51

oooh Issy - I'm getting excited for you! Hope your bruises heal soon - you could get some arnica cream?

Irish - I like your style and military planning but as Issy says maybe its not really AF after all ?

Sif - where are you girl?

Head - how's the eye? DH cleaned the new volvo on Sat a mere week after it was purchased . Now his last car was lucky if it was washed twice a year - we'll see how long this lasts .

bubble - fingers crossed for you for Fri...

girl - I feel your frustration but you never know for this month until the fat lady sings
