Please don't be offended if you're not named, you're still welcome, I just have a rubbish memory. I can see a couple of you on November thread but there's a whole load of people not there. Just wondering if you wanted a little thread to keep in touch?

Headfairy - just replied to you on grapefruit thread. So sorry about your sad news. Was hoping a new thread might provide you with support from old friends.

And Sunnydale, I know you're wary of new threads, so though you might also like the company of old friends.

Wishing and Bubble having your weird long cycles and missing whole month's threads, thought this might be one for you too.

So what do you say? I'll start a list just in case:

Issy, ttc#1, cycle 14, ucl 28ish, cd 23/10dpo, mc Mar08, cp Sep08, IVF in April.

Hi everyone... so on CD3 (sorry head promise I will try harder to ignore my cycle) of a 40 day average cycle. so I am on the 4 week wait until BD time. From a positive stance this means that we should just relax, have sex for fun and try not to worry about it all. In reality harder said than done, but I promise to try!

rip sorry you are feeling down about it all. It is really hard, especially when others around you seem to get pg at the drop of a hat. I try to be pragmatic about it all, but it is really hard, I just want ot shout... Why can't it happen for us!?!

Dr's on Tuesday, so hopfully they will do something to help. I keep thinking of my SIL who was trying for 2 years, had all kinds of tests etc. then decided to take a break from it all and emigrate to Aus. then got pg with twins! they still went to Aus. but it just goes to show, it just takes some people longer.

HeadFairy · 18/03/2009 12:06

Hi everyone...

Sorry to hear ttc is getting you down rip. It gets us all down sometimes so feel free to rant away to those who understand

Glad you had a nice day yesterday blue. Poor ds had a rotten day, first I took him to the docs for his MMR jabs and he really cried poor love. Then he had to sit in a hot car for an hour while we drove to the garage to sign the paperwork for the new car, plus we had a little spin in the new car so that was yet more time strapped in to his car seat, then an hour back to get home. He was rightly hacked off at me, so I've promised him a day of fun today. He's been playing all morning, having his nap now and then after lunch we're off to the park so he can run around and have fun. I'm hoping he'll crash at 6pm too

Sorry af got you girl... hopefully as you say the docs can work out what's going on with your cycle. I do hate those stories of people who try for ages to get pg, then give up and get pg with twins straight away. Of course I'm happy for them, but it's flaming typical. I've tried being as nonchalant as possible, but still no twins. I WANT TWINS, NOW!!! Actually, I take that back, just one would do

A big sunny hello to everyone else. You caved and tested yet Suzi? Not that I advocate early testing at all

x

Issy42 · 18/03/2009 14:15

Be careful what you wish for Head. Now some of you will know that I was a little freaked about the thought of bringing up twins on my own. I've come round to twins now, mainly as financially the extra tax credit will pay the extra nursery fee, but still freaked about increased risk of mc and am really freaked having read that IVF has higher chance of identical twins, so you can have double embryo transfer and end up with triplets. Anyway, mum phoned last night so decided to tell her that the IVF is happening end April. She asked about chances of twins or triplets so told her freaked but calming myself with chances of triplets being very low. She promptly tells me stories of twins (her uncle) and triplets (her grandad) in the family that I never knew about and then goes on to say that she doesn't know if they were identical as one of the triplets and the mother died in childbirth and her uncle had a vanishing twin. Great positive stories - thanks a bunch mum! Tact was never a strength in my family!

Sorry you're feeling down Rip. We've all been there. Hope the doctor has some answers Girl. Hope AF stays away tomorrow Suzi. Hi everyone else.

SuziBhoy · 18/03/2009 14:47

hey everyone.... still havent tested....i was sick this morning though but could be because of the wine i had the night before... oh i dont know... still going to wait until saturday to test

Bubblebell1 · 18/03/2009 18:05

Hey all, how is everyone?

sorry to hear your feeling down rip girl i hope the 4w pass quickly and/or the dr can sort something out for you? do you take agnus castus? i phoned a medical herbalist and she said that it can reduce cycle length?? i know some ppl cant take it but thought it was worth a go.

Good luck suzi
whenever u decide to test.

im feeling pretty low too. bils gf is due to test tomorro and has decided to wait til sat instead. i feel so and its making me feel like horrible person. then to top it off a woman i know in rl has just started ttc and she asked how it was going with us. i told her i had a mc last month and she said ' o wouldnt it be funny if i fell pg before you.???' i didnt know wether to laugh or cry. i certainly felt like crying and i was so angry that someone could be that insensitive. i didnt say anything but i prob would of if my sister hadnt said in my ear 'someone has to f*&% u first u horrible cow'

so i am feeling sad and hoping that this is my lucky month. i dont even feel like trying this month. iykwim. ive just about had enough.

god sorry to be so self indulgant.

Bubblebell1 · 18/03/2009 18:07

sorry girl that was supposed to read... i phoned a medical herbalist when my cycles were incredibly long. since starting it they have reduced considerably each time.

wierd how whole parts of a post can disappear?????

SuziBhoy · 18/03/2009 18:40

aw bubble that is so insensitive, that is a really low thing for someone to say! your time will come and it will be the most amazing time ever!!

bluesatinsash · 18/03/2009 19:52

Hey girls,

and at that woman's comments bubble but loving your sisters muttered reply .

oh Head your poor DS with MMR and caged-animal-in-car day yesterday, hope you and him had lots of fresh air and romps in the part today . We pick up our Volvo on Thurs - girly question - what colour is yours? DH has plumped for silver in the end..

Suzi - I salute your wilpower!

Issy - ah mother's, they always know what to say eh? There are twins all over my family too so who knows (eeek x 1000!)

Better go DS and DH are ready to come out the bath, toodle pip!

JumpingJellyfish · 19/03/2009 10:04

Morning ladies- hope it's as sunny with you as it is here (for once!)

bubble I'm outraged but that woman's comments, how can people be soooo insensitive! Hope you are ok hun.

Just posting quickly as at work and busy busy today- but I'm just back from my follow-up GP apt. All hormone, thyroid, blood count etc. tests came back normal And had an internal examination which showed cervix to be normal too. Relieved but still perplexed. GP is kindly referring me to gynae to have a wee scan just to check for adhesions in case that explains the early spotting (& could be possible since have had 2 emergency c-sections) but she thinks it's unlikely. So basically got to try to relax, keep trying and if no joy in a few more months then will have more tests (DH too then I guess). She said cycles do change after childbirth so maybe that's all it is. Hope so, but now just so so want a BFP.... Got to try harder I guess (OPKs definitely next cycle!) while trying not to obsess

Hope you are all well- Gateau good luck for your scan today, hope it's all good news!

HeadFairy · 19/03/2009 11:23

Hi all....

bubble do you want me to come and slap that woman? What an arse, especially as you'd just told her you'd had miscarriage. Oh well, just hope karma gets her and if she does get pg she gets a nonsleeping non eating baby to freak her out.

suzi well done at holding out for so long, I'm very impressed Good luck for when you do test.

Issy My worst fear was having twins first time out too, I guess the reality is you're just glad to have healthy babies and you cope but I can totally understand your fear. To be honest there are times at 3 in the morning when you're holding a screaming baby that you think you can't cope with one but it doesn't last long, I imagine the same is true with twins, you find your routine and it all clicks in to shape.

blue our volvo is black. As we're buying an ex demo we didnt' get a choice. I was worried it might look a bit like a hearse, but it's not too bad. It's shorter and a bit sportier looking than the v70 so the hearse associations aren't so bad.

I hope everyone else is ok... i'm off to work out what the hell to do with the pigeons on my roof... have a lovely day all xx

bluesatinsash · 19/03/2009 12:47

oooh Head we were swithering with the black too but the silver was the showroom's one hence we can get it on Thurs so DH just went for it. Lets hope they're fertility omens .

Suzi - how are you holding up?

Jumping good to hear you got the all clear at the docs

sif - how are you, been a bit quiet n the sif front this week - have you got a big case on at work [intrigued emotion].

Its sooo sunny and lovely up here today and my flowers are starting to come out in the garden - its all very symbolic - flowers budding = fertile ladies

Love to you too izzy not long to april now!

And rip sorry your feeling down hugs coming your way! xxxxxx

Jumping you seem to have a plan, sounds good! try preseed too, it worked for me and the reflexology!

though was speaking to the girl who did my reflexology today after went to docs and she thinks when she thought she felt a blockage that might have been the bean! this is following dr and midwife thinking im 13 weeks? can they really be so sure from just feeling my tummy?? i thought i was about 6/7 Do you remeber back to start of feb when i had a really light bleed, that i presumed was af, dr thinks it might not have been! so i have a scan next thursday! it still hasnt sunk in and i know this is going to sound ridiculous but with all the hormones flying around you dont always just feel happy when you get your bfp, i have gone from laughing and being extatic to been in floods of tears since monday! DH says you can never satisfy a women bless him!

love to all im sending you lots of sticky thoughts and bdust all round girlies

xxxxxxxxxxxxx

bluesatinsash · 19/03/2009 12:55

Hey sif! Hope you've got your power suit on

sifuentes · 19/03/2009 12:58

ps i think this volvo thing is hilarious - so random!!! My first ever car was a ginormous volvo saloon - it was supposed to be indestuctrible but I crashed into a titchy clio which received a wee scratch. My monster was totalled but it was very old - so not trying to freak you out.

They are impossible cars to break into btw. Aged 17 i was forever leaving my keys in the ignition and then shutting the locked door. The AA took hours to get into it again! which only really mattered the time when it was parked in the middle of the road outside my parents house with very loud music blasting out from it at about 1am - was not veh popular

anyway - i digress. must get my toxic arse back into work mode.

ttfn
xoxo

sifuentes · 19/03/2009 12:59

Power suit - check
hair in bun - check
serious look - check

yup - i'm ready to rock

SuziBhoy · 19/03/2009 13:14

hey wishing im glad things are going well!! I take it you are still not sure how far on you are then? and when will you find out for sure??

well af was due to show her ugly face today but she has stayed away so far... im getting all the signs that she is on her way... but im still hopeful!

sifuentes · 19/03/2009 13:32

I just lost a post - how bizarre

anyway it just said wishing you are so lucky to be so far along already!!!!! and to not have ben scared by the bleeds in the knowledge that you were preg.
no waiting anxiously to get to 12 weeks!
amazing.

I'm so happy for you.

girlwithacurl · 19/03/2009 15:34

Thanks bubble for the advice re Agnus castus, I will look into that! and how unbelievable of that woman, people say the stupidest things sometimes, good on your sister though!

wishing, really hope you are 13 weeks already, that would be fab!

its so lovely and sunny, and DP and I have a free weekend coming up, as we are so far from ov time we can just relax and do what comes naturally hopefully the sun will continue to shine and we can get the garden sorted out!

bluesatinsash · 19/03/2009 21:08

oh wishing - how great would that be if you are 13 weeks and got through the '8 weeks from hell' wait that is bfp-12 week scan - holy moley!

HeadFairy · 20/03/2009 10:50

Wow wishing, you've just achieved what we all dream of, skipping through the crapola and jumping straight to the blooming second semester. Well done Hope you are most definitely at week 13, you're going to start feeling kicks/movements in a few weeks which is the best most reassuring thing ever.

my fingers are still crossed suzi, hope you don't see hide nor hair of TEW.

blue perhaps we should swap cars because I'd prefer a silver one if I had the choice. Hey, maybe you're right about the whole fertility indicator, although it might mean twins after all

ooh sif Are you a high powered lawyer in your power suit and serious look? I've realised I don't really know much about you lot beyond who's got babies, who wants more babies (all of us ) and how often we have sex Hope the trip to the cop shop goes well.

I hope everyone else is well, enjoy the sunshine to day. The weather map didn't have a cloud on it this morning so I guess we're all in for some. I'm in a dark windowless office so I'll creep out, mole-like blinking in to the sunshine at lunch time

xx
