Milosmum - please stay with us, you are not crashing. It really does help to share things with people going through the same experiences. May your stay with us be short (for all the right reasons of course)

munz · 07/04/2005 13:48

rom - same in my office! i'm being linked to BB next week so i'll be posting a lot more and working a lot less - ooh hold on I mean playing cards on comp a lot less!

the other TTC thread is a bit quiet at the minute, the chatterboxes as it were have all left us, besides i've been on it for 6 months so I 'know' most of the girls now there so it's easier to keep up. we tend to have periods of being really quiet then it all goes mad again then quiet! weird! lol.

munz · 07/04/2005 13:50

MM don't be daft girl, u stop, on if u want to, theres no such thing as crashing a conception thread! lol, we're all in the same boats.

milosmum · 07/04/2005 14:21

you sure know how to cheer someone up- "crashing a conception thread"- if that was said anywhere else bar the interent people would lock you up! thanks to you all... i think ill enjoy my time here!

yellowbear · 07/04/2005 14:26

Hi everybody, thanks for listening! I think I was just having a bad day.
Think I have ov'd today though so maybe it is my body just getting back to normal! Just got to keep my fingers crossed that this is the month for me ( and all of you!!!) as it will be the anniversary of when i got pg for the second time (missed m/c in june).

Hi lilsmum & milosmum i'm a newie too & get lots of support from this thread, I read for a while & then finally plucked up curage to post.

Rom I am on Cd 11, so not far behind you.

Here's hoping for some BFP's this month!!!!!!!

munz · 07/04/2005 14:27

talking of which I haven't been postingmany jokes of late have I - will have to get cracking on them this evening and dig some old ones out for u! MM on these boards u'd be amazed what we talk about! there was a convo going on the other thread about the possitioning of the cervix around OV tiem, fascinating but in RL would be highly embaressing to turn around to ur bud over a morning cuppa and say so how high's ur cervix today then! lol.

romilly · 07/04/2005 14:41

i second munz - there is no such thing as "crashing" on this thread milosmum, its an open-house for anyone wanting to talk, moan, laugh, cry, obsess, lurk, fret OR share their happy news !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(did you hear that up there at The Head Office???)

yellowbear - we're glad you're back, stick around

munz - ooh cervix talk, may have to sneak a peek at that thread - was this on thread 20?

OP posts:
munz · 07/04/2005 14:45

ooh it was back when hest/jedds were round more I think if I remeber rightly, have a look around xmas time there was a lot of talk on them, I'm embaressed to say unitl that thread I din't know a thing about mine and where it should be/ how it should look, i'll have a look see and do a link later on if u want.

where's head office then? oh right yeah ok then blonde moment!

dramaqueen72 · 07/04/2005 14:47

been reading this link re cm and cp during fertile times.
here its a good general site to explore actually, esp liked the chart showing how you do indeed often o on the same day as LH surge1

munz · 07/04/2005 14:48

right then that's me done chatting for today, i'm on the bosses comp filing our end of year returns with IR, so I suppose i'd best actually get on and do some work now or I won't get my pay rise, do u think £900.00 is a respectable amount for an increase? for the year that is, no additional duties as such. althou the boss has said the accounts have never been so uptodate and together think he just wants a bigger b'day pres! (as if i'd get him one! lol)

dramaqueen72 · 07/04/2005 14:48

never mind that one (1) it was meant to be a '!'

Nemo1977 · 07/04/2005 15:16

Just ordered 3 early pg tests from ebay so will use them when they turn up

Bella23 · 07/04/2005 15:31

Nemo - sounding soo positive for you this month. We sooooo need another graduate so have everything crossed!
DQ - that site looks interesting, i think this month am going to concentrate on doing rest of digital OPKs in the pm at 2pm (as per that site) and doing my persona in the morning to see if I can get my Ov time right.
Am a bit disheartened to think that I am on CD 1 again and also when I think that I've been ttc for 10 months now.....mmmmm.....not allowed to think like that though am I as I did manage to get pregnant in that time. Sorry rambling on......
Sorry not meant to sound negative just sharing thoughts. No booze for me and DH this month which is going to prove very difficult (I do sooo love my wine) but am determined to do it in case it ups my chances this cycle.
Munz - ooh yes please, a joke would be good.

Nemo1977 · 07/04/2005 15:35

bella thats sooo weird as i was just having that very convo in my own head...sound loopy i know. But we started ttc when ds was 8.5mths old. He turns 18mths at the weekend so have pretty much been trying for 10mths to. Was thinking it seems ages but of course 3mths of that was taken up with an actual pg so suppose 5mths doesnt sound as much. Just seems ages

Bella23 · 07/04/2005 15:42

Glad its not just me that has the little negative gremlins that always have to put a bad slant on things!

wendy11 · 07/04/2005 16:13

Afternoon Ladies,

Welcome to everyone who is joining the mad house of ttc.

Yellowbear - really sorry you have been finding all this ttc lark a bit tough going. We all go through down times but please stay with us - as the saying goes.....a problem shared is a problem halved.

Well back to CD1 for me. Really disappointed that we haven't managed to conceive naturally. We have tried really hard over the last 5 months.....even to the extent of BDing when we were not necessarily on good terms with each other - really makes for a loving atmosphere!!Have to go to hospital tomorrow and leave in period details to get dates for starting treatment. Was just wondering this morning if we can still try this month as the nasal spray doesn't start until CD21. I suppose we can give it one last chance - also have a few OPK's that just need to be used I think I would find it very difficult to get through ov time without trying IYKWIM.

Today was our genetics appointment and thankfully we had a lovely Dr who was so considerate and really put our minds at ease. She also had the post mortem results from our ds. They showed that there was no kidney development and only a small bladder so now we know that there was no chance that he was going to survive it makes it a little easier to bear. He was well developed for 23 weeks at 1lb 4oz so does not suggest that there was any other chromosomal abnormality persent and that it was just one of those things that happen for no reason, but is still so unfair. They have given us an initial 3% chance of having another baby with Potters Syndrome, although this will depend on results from kidney scans of DH and me and also results from blood tests taken today, but she does not see any reason not to go ahead with our IVF treatment. To me 3% seems a very low chance of it happening again, as DH said if you were given a 3% chance of living you would be dead in an hour. I know he was trying to cheer me up but really!!

Bella looks like we will be at the same stage together this month - can compare notes.......HA HA. DH and I also off all booze this month as advised by the fertility clinic to cut out all alcohol in the month before treatment..... 2 glasses of water please doesn't have quite the same ring to it!

Hope everyone else is OK.

Of work tomorrow. Going to a knit and stitch craft thing with my mum and her friend. Mums the knitter and I am the stitcher so hopefully will be a good day out. Always get treated to a nice meal afterwards for driving them so don't really mind doing taxi service.

milosmum · 07/04/2005 16:36

would you guys now take today as my new "day 1"??? and count my 10 days from here?? or stick to my original??

to nemo- i buy all my tests (ovulation & pregnancy) from ebay as they are cheap & still do the job- like you said otherwise you re just peeing on a tenner each time!

romilly · 07/04/2005 16:56

wendy - so sorry to hear you are back on CD1 hon. at least you have everything lined up to start the next step. agree that you cant possible ignore 0 day though glad your genetics appt. went well and 3% sounds low to me - and you know what i'm like about stats, LOL!

bella - off the alcohol, you and wendy - who am i going to moan to about hangovers!

dqueen - ta for the new link! you do find some good ones.

nemo - LOL at pissing on a tenner

munz - £900 hmmm, well it depends what percentage of your salary that is, which i'm not going to ask you - obviously! - but i would personally gun for at least 5% of salary - upwards!!!!!!!! (a girls gotta pay for all those tenners we pee on after all )

Bella23 · 07/04/2005 16:56

Wendy - sorry to hear that you are joining me in the arrival of AF. Looks likes this month is the last time for you to conceive naturally before IVF if you are not using the spray until CD21. What is in the spray?
Sounds like you had a lovely doctor at your genetics meeting. It must have been really difficult but at least you now know what happened to your little boy and that the chances of it happening again in the future are really low. Lovely analogy there from your DH!

Right Wendy - CD1......am a firm believer in determination.......one last try before IVF....... We can test together

Milosmum - erm yes if I was you I would count this as CD1 but would keep a very close on CM to see if you can figure out what is going on

Bella23 · 07/04/2005 17:04

Rom - on the no booze front, literally pulling out tufts of hair at the prospect of a weekend with no booze.....ARH!!

george32 · 07/04/2005 17:06

OOOOhh guys, had to dive on to let you know; I know I said I had given up with testing this month but terribly itchy fingers so just got them out again and finally I have a .....yes cd 25 and finally its a positive OPK!!!

DP won't know what's hit him!!

Bella23 · 07/04/2005 17:10

HOOOOOOOOOOORAH George !!!!!!!!!
Go forth and become a limpet on DH for his swimmers!!

george32 · 07/04/2005 17:18

Thanks Bella, I'm just so excited. Is everyone this bad when they get a .

Quite funny really because I spent this morning explaining to DP that I hadn't O'd this month and therefore our chance of being p/g was zilch......not now though!!!!!!!!!

Cadmum · 07/04/2005 17:19

Oh my! What a chatty bunch today. I am not sure that I can really catch up here! DD is poorly (bad cough and runny nose) and DSs are winding her up so I only have a moment here...
We are away for the week-end starting this evening so please don't think that I've run off with another thread again! I am true-blue to you all.
Wendy: Sorry about af. I was really hoping that this was your month. In your situation, I would also try this month since the spray is not until 21 days. But can you ask someone if it would harm an embryo if you did manage to conceive? I am pleased that your appt went well and that the Dr was sympathetic. It must have been hard for you. How are you feeling?
Romilly: I may need to take up drinking if not pg this month as DH is off to New York for three months starting end of April.
Welcome Milosmum and Lilmum.
Yellowbear: Glad that you are feeling a little better today. Great news about Ov. Wishing you loads of baby-dust then!
Bella: Roll on next month without the drinks...
Nemo: Still counting on you to be our grad (no pressure there at all).
Must post this as DS2 is crawling accross the keyboard...

romilly · 07/04/2005 17:21

YAYYYYYYYYYY! Go georgie go go...
(put choccies on his pillow, LOL)

bella - i was wondering if i could stay off booze for a month, but it seems like the only solace on CD1 for AF duration IYKWIM!!!
