well i'd do the chocs on the pillow thing but well munzH wouldn't get a look in as i'm a confesed chocoholic! lol.

romance is DH telling me he's going up to bed early, putting about 20 candles all over our room with the lamps on, nice music and smelly oils, then shouts for me to come up and pretends to be coy and asleep! lol. he's not half bad at a massage either!

yellowbear · 06/04/2005 21:20

Hi everyone, not posted for a while, I think this ttc is really getting me down & can't seem to stay as positive as you lot seem to, so I stay away rather than posting depressing messages!

I do have a question though that I hope someone can answer.

After missed m/c in Nov (2nd one) i didn't get af until feb, i OV after 8 days then next af on cd 24. Next month was basically the same ov on day 8 & af on cd 23. this month though on cd 10 & nothing - is this just my body getting back to normal?

Cadmum · 06/04/2005 22:25

Hello yellowbear! Please, do not hide because you think that we are more up-beat than you are feeling. We are here to support each other through the rough times as well as joking through the less rough... I hate to think that you have been alone feeling miserable.
I am not sure that I can properly answer your question as my only experience of af following missed m/c is purely anecdotal. Following all three of mine my cycles were all over the map. I did not get af back for at least 2 months each time and even after that my cycles would vary in length between 31-47 days. My most recent missed m/c was in June 2004 and I think that I have only OVed three times since then. (in Nov, Dec and Jan) Even the last two cycles have been unusual so I would say that it is likely that your body is taking time to heal and recover from the m/c.
Please keep posting (unless you find it more challenging putting up with our silliness). We really want to help, honestly.
I, for one, would have lost the plot had it not been for being able to vent on MN about the things that I can't really discuss in RL. I am convinced that the healing was much faster and more complete following my third loss because of the help I found here.

dramaqueen72 · 06/04/2005 22:41

hey ladies well my RL is hectic and crazy so i am seeking the kind quiet place that is our thread!! my head hurst from all thinking today.
munz, oooo thanks girlie, nicest thing anyones said in a while! if you 'feel ' i'm pg thats fabulous!
cadmum, nice to have you here agiain, no i'm NOT testing til next week (and the end of that) george is keeping me company, and anyone else whos about due then. fingers crossed ladies.
bella/rosies how many sessions is usual? i am so wary of starting something I couldnt afford to keep up! and .er..... does it tickle? what does mrbella say about this bella? mine thinks i've totally lost it already. buying and showing him the opks did it for him, making him sign the oxford conception study did it for him too... hes still of the 'babies will happen without trying' group, duh!
yellowbear, sorry no exact advice other than i believe that kind of mixed up cycle is normal after m/c. if youre worried check with your Dr, it wont hurt to be reassured by someone medical. hope they settle down and make ttc easier for you. after my first m/c op they were all over the place, but with this one they went straight back to my cycle, maybe its because this mc/ was earlier on? {shrug} and for heavens sake POST when youre having crap days, have you read some of mine? i'm not called dramaqueen for nothing you know! i have massive black dark days because of this m/c and ttc lark. so please let us jolly you along and support you too.
rom if i left chocs on dh pillow chances are the children/dog would eat them, make a mess and leave wrappers about, causing dh to be in foul mood before bed and totally ruining any romance.....LOL
I wish we could all meet up (andi dont mean that to sound 'stalker'-ish!) but i just think we'd be great fun down the pub together

lilsmum · 07/04/2005 07:27

dp 30

BD'd on cd 13 (tues night), and yesterday had mild cramps, and loads of CM yesterday (tmi!), does this mean it likely i OV'd yesterday?

feel abit funny tbh since yesterday

munz · 07/04/2005 08:52

yb - to echo what cad mum said don't sweat it, we all have our down days, we all have our depressing messages (most of mine are on the TTC threads thou), it helps thou to get it all out to ppl who undersatnd exactly where ur at etc... (((((bigs huggles)))))) hope ur body settles down soon.

DQ - hold ur horses hon I've been known to be wrong as well on occassion but keeping everything crossed for you! what CD r u?

CD1 here, AF in full flo, can't wait till she goes then can get BD with DH!! YAY 12 more sleeps to go! OMG i'm soooooo sad!

george32 · 07/04/2005 09:27

Glad to see you back YB. Please don't feel you can't post here when you are going through a rough patch. We might have a new thread name but we are all still cautious TTCers and everyone will be here to support you whether you are feeling up or down. {{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}
Like you, my cycle is all over the place this month. I've blown the fuses on fertility friend (yes it has changed O day again today!) and my Persona is sitting in the corner ignoring me until I offer it a regular cycle .

Well, the work doctors yesterday said I shouldn't be back at work yet & should take another 2 or 3 weeks off then go back 1 day first wk, 2 days 2nd etc! I think that means that I'm officially nuts now then
I really don't think I need any more full weeks off so going to go for another day next week. This having time off is new to me (haven't really done bereavement before so 2 in a month was a bit of a shock) so was a bit surprised! Is this normal to have so much time off???

Munz have you got some inside info on the del dates for our orders? Can you give me a month please, pretty please???
LOL @ DQ and the dog eating chocs.
Please someone enlighten me...what is the Oxford Conception Study? Should I be doing this? Will it help me to conceive? Am I missing out on a gadget?

munz · 07/04/2005 09:30

lol@ george - I've only had a date for myself! on or around the 10th of feb, and a girl so i'd need to get PG next month I think not this one, but we'll see!

not heard on this oxford thingy.

Bella23 · 07/04/2005 09:56

Morning ladies, very chatty, just what i like to see!
Yellowbear - please feel that you can post exactly what you like, we all post when we are down, I think the others will agree when I say that this thread is very "real" and we don't hold back from how we feel. We all seem to take it in turns to feel down and the rest of us understand as we've all been there. Right will stop babbling on that one ....stay with us
DQ - yes agree we would all be a great bunch down the pub. Would be a fab idea once all our babies are born to get together to celebrate how far we've come!
Munz - our two cats sleep on the bed and have to be turfes out for a a night of bding. Sometimes if they are fast asleep though we end up doing it in a different room as I am a bit of a soft touch (= cracked in the head) !!
George - I can imagine that being off work is strange but I do think that they are right in telling you to do that. The thing is often when we feel ready its actually a bit too soon and we need the extra time to just have some "down time" and space to be for a while. I think if you can you should not rush yourself back, take the time to eat well, excercise and be good to youself. Bereavement can take may forms and if you don't take time out it can come and bite you when you least expect it. Sorry to hear that your cycles aren't behaving, if any consolation mine are behaving but its not making any bloody difference!!
Having problems with the computer at home so having to get my fix of you guys during the day, hopefully DH will be getting it fixed soonish.
DQ - Mr Bella is quite interested in the alternative therapies, never had any but is very keen to see how I will get on. To be honest at the moment he would agree to almost anything I suggested as he knows how important it is to me to get pregnant (him as well obviously but as we all know men are still in the camp of your DH and the "it'll happen when it happens") Obviously if we end up having to remortgage the house to pay off all the debts I have mounted up due to my ttc treatments then he may step in and stop me then!!
Munz - I am on CD1 today so looks like we can be together this cycle
Well that's all for now, keep forgetting that I am actually being paid to do some work rather than be on here!!!

lilsmum · 07/04/2005 10:04

ok thanks for the replies

dramaqueen72 · 07/04/2005 10:08

morning all.
bella, sorry af has shown up after all. the cow, hope this is her last visit for many months!!! how nice that mr bella supports youre treatments. mine is abit like 'whats todays mad crazy theory?' every time i suggest something!
george, sorry about the time off, iyswim... but hey, enjoy it, as it may well be awhile til you get any more. bless you for coping with so much this year already.
oxfrod conception study is a study (!) of hormones whilst ttc/pg. they are trialing a fertility monitor and it will store info about your cycle and hormones. they will share it all with you after six months or during the whole thing depending on whcih group you get put in. nice thing is not only are you helping people in the future NOT go thro all this ttc crap we are, but if after six months you havent got pg, they show you all the data and a fertility expert tells you when you could most likely get pg and if they have spotted any problems... I havetn explained that very well, they have a website thats better at it, will try and remember to link to it later.
welcome lilsmum, sounds very like Ovulation. i also feel quite sick and strange around then too. fingers crossed for you.

Bella23 · 07/04/2005 10:09

Lilsmum - sorry didn't mean not to say hello, it just gets so busy on here.
I would think that if you had loads of cm yesterday and your cycles are normally 28 days then there is a very big chance that you ov'd.
Good luck and let us know when you are testing

girlfromip · 07/04/2005 10:35

bella, I left a msg for you on the other thread

romilly · 07/04/2005 12:52

morning all - nearly the weekend girls

lilsmum - welcome to the cautiously ordering babies club! please stay with us, we are not at all cliquey on this thread, promise - just VERY chatty . i agree with bella and DQ that it sounds like you did Ov. watch that CM over the next couple of days but keep bding until you are sure.

yellowbear - i was just wondering where you'd got to. sorry to hear you have been a bit blue . which CD are you on now? are we still around the same dates?

OP posts:
romilly · 07/04/2005 12:53

ybear - i am CD15 and OV'd on CD12/13 methinks -
i think you were just behind me...

milosmum · 07/04/2005 13:10

sorry to crash your thread girls but im realtively new and need help- and you girls seem to know what you are talking about..Im really confused myself and my husband have been trying for another child for 2 yrs and just recently have started using ovulation testing. it showed i was about to ovulate on monday- therefore did the deed. but we are now on thursday and i ve started bleeding, at first i thought we d cracked it and it was breakthrough bleeding but its a little heavy for that. my usual cycle isnt perfect but its with a week each time i start my period..... please help!

munz · 07/04/2005 13:19

afternoon all,

bella - i'm afraid i don't give up my bed for the dogs, they move out for us! lol. OK also hula/ES r on the same cycle roughly on the TTC thread so we'll all be testing together.

LM - hiya and welcome, I'm just about managing to keep up witht eh girls this time! lol, v chatty lot we have here!

DQ - think i'll stick with my persona thanks all the same! lol, that other one sounds a bit complicated.

MM hiya and welcome as well, would it be too early for implantation bleed? is it a full on AF so to speak or just a bit of slight discharge (I know TMI but after al while u'll be talking about with with ease like us!)

Bella23 · 07/04/2005 13:23

Milosmum - sorry you are having a rough time. Am no expert but I would assume if tests are showing that you OV then that is a good sign. Have you sought medical advice? Do you chart? I would start this so you can see the pattern.
Ladies - anyone offer more help as I seem to be struggling....

milosmum · 07/04/2005 13:27

it appears to be a proper bleed- its a bit hard to tell as i dont really have that much of one anyhow. thanks for helping really thought we d do it this time- feel so sad. i ve also been checking my cervical mucus- urgh!- and the test definatly showed i was due to ov......

Bella23 · 07/04/2005 13:30

Nemo - sorry hon that you are feeling a little overwhelmed at the moment, lets just hope its all due to hormones and you will be getting your BFP!
Come on here and have a good moan if it helps...sometimes just telling someone makes it better doesn't it?
Am off work tomorrow so won't be able to chat so who's testing this weekend, anyone? Will work on DH to fix broadband

munz · 07/04/2005 13:37

only to suggest seeing ur DR as to what's going on. perhaps there's an imbalance or something? don't know really hon (((hugs))) anyhow. what CD r u? is it possible u OV earlier? I have really thin CM a few days B4 AF comes on as well.

romilly · 07/04/2005 13:39

nemo - are you still having all the symptoms???

hi milosmum - so confusing isnt it. personally i would never TOTALLY trust OPK's because they are not 100% reliable, i would check out all your other signs - esp. CM (and temps are a fantastic back-up if you can be arsed to stick a thermometer in your mouth every a.m. at around the same time)!

OP posts:
romilly · 07/04/2005 13:41

george - i am fascinated to know where you work - are there any vacancies!!! Lol, they sound amazingly understanding...

munzie - how do u manage to keep up with two ttc threads? Respect!
