congrats dizzi romily, i have seen the opk's on ebay very cheap, i might get some from there, i had af 2 weeks ago, so will wait and see when af next comes before using them. i think the general idea though is to actually (whispers....have sex...) chancewould be a fine thing at the mo.

milosmum · 03/05/2005 18:36

go for it spacecadet- i get my opks from ebay on they are great!

Spacecadet · 03/05/2005 19:27

right will order some

Hulababy · 03/05/2005 20:22

Evening

Hang on in there Munz; have my fingers crossed for you.

Massive congrats dizzydi!

Tuech - sorry you had a bad weekend; it can get you that way can?t it?

Thanks romilly; FF was forever changing my OV dates. I am having a break from temping now though as I was finding it a bit too stressful, esp in the 2WW ? counter productive really!

romilly · 03/05/2005 20:23

thats good spacecadet because you may feel left out if you are not peeing on sticks and giving us all the lowdown on how convincing those blue lines are actually, we are all fans of the rip-off clearblue digital ones because you can use them first thing in the morning and they give you a cute smiley face which takes out the guesswork of how dark the lines are! enjoy!

bella hon how are you doing? i was thinking there is probably something in what you said about not doing it every single night for a week. if it hasnt worked for a few months that way Toni Weschler advises switching to every other night to see if that helps. agree its worth covering all bases at 0 time tho. either way i have high hopes for you that you are not far off, so stick with the reflexology and lets hope the next few weeks work out for us all.

wendy which dpo are you now?? must be getting close eh?

any news from munzie?

Spacecadet · 03/05/2005 20:38

lol at peeing on sticks, like the idea of a cute smiley face first thing in the morning!(take it smiley face means go for it??)

romilly · 03/05/2005 20:47

hey hulababy - oh boy, do i know what you mean about the stress of the 2ww - it is possibly the only thing i can think of that is super-stress-out and yet mind-numbingly boring at the same time.

milosmum where are you at? i've lost tract of your CD day.

wendy - found your dpo! so not far off hon. better get down to head office fast and check that order is top of the pile.

frizbe - you are near me on timing aren't you?

worriedbev - and lottielou - any sign of anything yet?

apologies to anyone having problems with this thread now its so massive, just gotta hang in there a little teensy bit longer

Hi Rom, Yep I think I'm near you on cd 11 at the mo, is that near you? think handbag is also around the same time, hula too possibly?

charleepeters · 04/05/2005 09:22

Hi ladies today i started what looks like my period (sorry i dnt know short hand terms!) and it seems roughly the right time to have one after my last so hopefully my cycles getting back on track!
anyway quick question
Do you have to have a special thermometer if so where do i get one?
Anyway good luck to everyone my thoguhts are spinkled with fairy dust for you all xxxxxx

Bella23 · 04/05/2005 09:36

Morning all ladies.
Charleepters - yes you need a special themometer, don't temp myself but Rom should be able to help you out on that.
Rom - yes going to try different tactics this month, my friend who "got caught" straight away did the deed in the morning so am going to give that go, Mr Bella is not going to need much persuasion on that one!!
Piffle - yes the 2 ww sucks doesn't it, although at least there's no POAS for a while!!
Well to add to my list of things I am willing to try in order to nail this baby making I am now going to take Aloe Vera Gel. My friend has just become a distributor and apparentyl its packed with natural nutrients etc so that's me signed up.........you know me?? Literally lurve spending money that I don't have on anything that may help the cause!!!
Wendy & Worriedbev - how are you?
Anyway - best get on with some work.......

teuch · 04/05/2005 09:37

hi folks,

for those with BFP's after m/c...I noticed you are going for the early scan option - in my area they have stopped offering those since it only reassures you for the period when you are actually being scanned (which would be right for me...an early scan would have shown no problems at 8-9 weeks).

Having said that I know that we like to cover all of our bases but perhaps you should also request the bloodwork that measures your Hgc levels? These should double every 2 days or so and is a good indicator that things are progressing well.

THe added bonus is that they can start that now - whereas sometimes an early scan won't pick anyting up til after 8 weeks...

Teuch

Lottielou · 04/05/2005 09:55

Morning All!
Bella - Still no AF but have a slight confession to make. DP and I did decided to wait for AF but we have been having unprotected for a couple of weeks, well hit and miss anyway - wenever the mood took us. We were getting so uspet at the thought of waiting and wanted to fill that void. We didn't see the harm in it. But I went to see my DR last night to ask about dates that i should expect AF. He said AF should of technically arrived by now as it's been 4 weeks. I was reserved in him doing a test as i didn't want the dissapointment. So he said wait as long as i like but if i AF doesn't show early next week then i should test.
I really want to see that BFP but am sooooooo scared of testing now as it may be too early and i dont want that BFN. If i dont test i dont get either and i'm on an even balance. iykwim?
2 Weeks ago i was willing AF to arrive now i want her to stay away for 8/9 months! God i cant win!

Bella23 · 04/05/2005 10:05

Lottie - arh bless, yes a hard time. Maybe wait until the weekend and then pluck up the courage to test. Just take a deep breath. Good Luck

Lottielou · 04/05/2005 10:24

Bella - Thanks. You watch now I have said this and been open about it AF will show! It's like some people with thier driving test, you tell the world your have it and then you fail, second time round you dont tell anyone and pass. Sods Law!

teuch · 04/05/2005 11:05

Morning Lottielou,

I know what you mean about wanting things to happen right away - you have to do what's right for you both and to be honest my midwife couldn't give a definitive answer as to why you had to wait til after first Af to try (although I do feel more relaxed about it once I knew hormones and body were back to normal!).

Just a wee word of caution from my midwife (that I am also ignoring!)...just to be extra prepared to really grieve around your last due date and the that pg hormones won't help!

I personally think it will be easier to handle come August if I have a nice little bump to comfort me...

Lottielou · 04/05/2005 11:22

Morning Teuch - It is sooo hard to wait. When i had my m/c the hosp said that i could try again as soon as i felt i was ready. The first 2 weeks after if i'm honest i wasn't ready to TTC again but now i am and i want nothing more in the world (as we all do on her) Since i've been at work this oast hour i have been having a few cramps so doesn't feel good that i will be PG. It sucks!
I know what you been about grieving on my due date and having a bump to help me and DP. It will make everything that little bit more bearable.
So are you TTC now? or waiting for AF? x

munz · 04/05/2005 11:42

morning all,

no changes here, PIL's have now gone home, DH is convinced I'm PG, no AF not tested thou, DH is saying to wait until tomorrow then we'll go into town and get a clear blue or something, I'm worried about it as well. we'll see what happens and how things go, yesterday kept gewtting tingles in my hips when I was sitting down, and am feeling slightly sick but nothing major, I keep getting up to go to the loo just to wipe incase AF has come lol. so far thou all I have is serious EWCM (even for me to say it it's v v noticable) not trying to get my hopes up too much thou.

hope everyone else is OK.

Worriedbev · 04/05/2005 12:14

Hi everyone
I am on day 27 now - had af cramps last night but no show of af. If felt like the same type of pains that af should be in full flow, but now nothing. Noticed a creamy white discharge this morning when I went to the toilet.
I am feeling very pessimistic today as when I took my temperature this morning it had gone down from 36.6 to 36.3 which is below the coverline so I suppose it is just a matter of waiting for af to start now. I have heard that temps dont drop down if you are pg, especially 16 dpo.
Anyone know?
love Bevxx

Lottielou · 04/05/2005 12:16

Quick Questions after reading Bev's post...
Do you get white creamy discharge before AF comes or is it a sign of PG haven't heard of that one before?

Nemo1977 · 04/05/2005 12:22

ooo munz u neeed to test hun

EWCm isnt a sign of being pg as such but when pg ur discharge increases a hell of a lot more than normal...

Lottielou · 04/05/2005 12:25

So if it's creamy as opposed to being Egg White then thats a possible sign? sorry blonde moment!

Nemo1977 · 04/05/2005 12:27

lottie lou..im only going on personal experience but that is what has happened to me when pg..i know others get it before af...so no more enlightened i am afraid

piffle · 04/05/2005 12:33

munz got everything crossed for you honey.
As you all told me, it ain't over til it's here you know
Ooooh pls let this be another bumper week ladies....
