rachelrog - i wondered where you'd got to when i was scrolling down thread the other day. nice to have you back.

sounds quite normal that you are spotting first, i got my first AF after m/c exactly 30 days later (whereas am normally 26/27 day cycle)

Thanks Lottie, think the celebration is a bit for me too

Rom, providing all goes well, going to miss you guys on here too. Feels like we have been through a real journey together from the other thread across to here and now moving again. As soon as we have a Jan BFP, "www.romsbabyorders.com" starts over on ante-natal and we can carry on in our barmy way only obsessing about cramps and constipation rather than POAT

Hi RachRog, glad to see you back again. My first AF was nothing major just brown spotting 2 weeks after op. Sounds like you can count this as yours and call today CD5. Might help if you start temping as you will get a clearer understanding of where you are in your cycle. It can be a bit knocked about by a m/c.

Bella23 · 20/04/2005 11:42

George - have e-mailed you my address, thanks honey
Arh - Rom, sorry you are feeling under the weather, lord as if AF wasn't enough eh!! very annoying!
Rachelrog - sounds like AF has arrived, I think the first one can be very hit and miss. Mine was pretty light on the ground as I remember. Just got to get it out of the way and then can begin TTC in earnest.
God am turning into a desperate woman as am seriously considering buying some grapefruit juice at lunch even though I bloody hate the stuff just in a quest to maximis my cm.....ARH!

george32 · 20/04/2005 11:43

Milosmum, you seem to have done a vanishing act too - where are you????

Diddle · 20/04/2005 11:48

i am totaly confused. with all this AF business I was told nothing, should i be having a litle period after my m/c? because i did have a light bleed, pinky colour last week? has it been and gone. i wondered if this may have just been left overs from the m/c. wonder if i could start trying now. sorry just getting desperate.
Anyone else who's had a m/c got advice? or a desc of AF after M/c without TMI

Lottielou · 20/04/2005 11:55

Diddle, am confused now too! I had a very faint show last week but didn't think it was anything to do with AF. Perhaps this is Normal? Hmmm!!?

Diddle · 20/04/2005 12:00

lottie - oooh how exciting. getting quite pleased now. what date di you have your m/c?

Lottielou · 20/04/2005 12:16

3rd April!
Just been thinking bout it (haven't really thought about how close the dates were before) i only found out that i was PG on the Thursday 31st March that i was 5 weeks, had my appt with DR then it all went wrong! My head is fried with the dates!
But it was last week that i had a tiny tiny show but didn't think anything of it!

Lottielou · 20/04/2005 12:17

When was urs?

Worriedbev · 20/04/2005 12:18

Hi ladies do you mind if I join you. Feeling very down in the dumps today, got two dark lines on opk last two days - yesterday and the day before but poor DH was so shattered that he didnt feel like bedding. Last time we bedded was on Sunday evening. Temperatures are a bit erratic, keep going up and down. Yesterday 36.6, today 36.3, very erratic, not had the three days temperature rise to confirm ov. I am very upset though that we didnt bed when I got the two dark lines on the opks, so I can only presume we missed the crucial time. Havent noticed any ecwm at all so dont know what is going on. Is it worth me doing another opk tonight? Even if I do there is no knowing whether DH will feel like it tonight, I hate having to ask him to bed to order.

The other thing that confused me was that I am doing the oxford conception study and I showed high fertility on this between days 7 and 11 and then it went down to low fertility so it totally contradicts what the opks are saying.

Help and advice needed please.

I have got a very sore throat today and a horrible metally taste in my mouth so not feeling on top form.

I look forward to hearing from anyone that can enlighten me on all this.

Sorry to go onbut I wanted to get all the facts down on paper.
Bev

Diddle · 20/04/2005 12:25

lottielou - mine started on the 1st April but didn't lose anything major until the 3rd April.
Had known for 4 weeks. I have no idea what to do now. don't know whether it might be worth trying or wait until have a decent AF thats a bit more normal.

Worriedbev, i'm no expert but i would say that although you haven't BD on the exact days, but did the day before then you still have a chance of conceiving during this time. your dh swimmers will still be in you upto 72 hours. apparently.

Lottielou · 20/04/2005 12:29

No Nor me! Perhaps it would be better waiting for a 'normal' AF to show which the Hosp did tell me to expect between the 28th and 3rd. But they did say it could come sooner/later! I haven't a clue!
Any suggestions anyone?

Diddle · 20/04/2005 12:36

I know that is the sensible thing to do, what a shame was getting my hopes up for a second there. I feel ready to try but really our bodies do need ime to recover. lets wait. i'm going to, have just decided. lets be sensible

Diddle · 20/04/2005 12:37

you're hospital sounds much more efficient than mine. They hardly said a word to me.

Lottielou · 20/04/2005 12:38

Yes we will wait!Have decided too! At least we can wait together and by the sounds of it we should be expecting AF together! We'll get their hun!

Lottielou · 20/04/2005 12:39

which one did you go to?

Bella23 · 20/04/2005 12:47

WorriedBev - sorry you are having a crap time.
No idea why Oxford study is telling you different to OPKs. I do think that if you bded on Sunday then you are still in for a chance this month. If at all possible I would go all out for sexiness tonight with DH (whatever he really likes then go for) and that way you might just catch that egg!
Don't mean to raise your hopes or anything but isn't a metallic taste in the mouth a really early preg sign?

Diddle · 20/04/2005 12:53

bella/worriedbev - i wondered that about the metallic taste in mouth. fingers crossed for you.

Lottielou - I went to Russells Hall in Dudley, which has all be done up and looks lovely, but obviously the staff haven't got a clue.
With my first m/c i went to a&e and they were useless, just sent me home.
Witht he 2nd i went to the docs first and then had a scan appointment on the 4th but had lost it by then.

Worriedbev · 20/04/2005 12:54

Hi Bella
Thanks for your message
Yes they do say that a metallic taste can be a pg sign but it is a yukky taste as well, not sure what it is.

I will try my hardest to seduce DH tonight but if not then will have to hope for next month.

Times can get very hard cant they when one is putting everything into baby making. Not sure about the ocs and the opks, really confusing me and as for the temperatures, it doesnt look as though I have ovd yet as they say it is supposed to go high and stay high for 3 days to confirm ov, do you know about that? Havent seen any cm though, is this unusual or can it appear only on the day of ov. Does a positive opk definitely mean you are going to ov or can it give you a positive result and then ov doesnt happen for some reason?
Bev

RachelRog · 20/04/2005 12:56

Many thanks for advice....glad it sounds normal!
This is all so frustrating! I feel like my body hasn't got a clue what it is doing at the minute.

Bella23 · 20/04/2005 13:05

Worriedbev - no expert or anything but I would say that a +ve OPK would mean that OV is on the way as it is detecting a surge in the hormone.

milosmum · 20/04/2005 13:45

im still here- been reading all the good news- just a little depressed at it all and dont want to over shadow your good new.....

Diddle · 20/04/2005 13:55

milosmum - why are you so blue? fed up with the whole ttc process?

dyzzidi · 20/04/2005 13:59

Milosmum I know how difficult things can be I'm a bit quiet on here myself but I do keep reading everyones news. I hope you are ok.

I keep thinking next time it will be me!!

Bella23 · 20/04/2005 14:13

Milosmum - sorry you are feeling so .... I know its hard sometimes hearing about other people's good fortune when you think you are just not getting anywhere. Just remember that people on this thread have been through hell to get a BFP but they have managed it, try and view it as giving hope to the rest of us that it will happen.
I notice you have said that you have been TTC for 2 years, are you receiving medical help or advice?
