Nemo: Do you really have 2 eys up on offer? I live in Canada but I would pay for the postage... I can't seem to find them anywhere here!

Cadmum · 19/04/2005 23:23

Hereshoping: I am so sad for you! I was sure that this was your month... How daft of me to add that kind of pressure to your situation. Try and stay positive. You will succeed and then this nightmare will be a fading memory. I am so sorry that your sil is expecting at the same time as your baby would have been due. That will make it very challenging for you to enjoy your niece/nephew. I really hope that you are pg before then as every time I look at DS2 I can't help but think that he wouldn't be with us if I hadn't lost Owen...Is your SIL at least pleased about her impending arrival?
I find it very hard to see children who are the age that mine 'would have been' had they not taken the fast-track to heaven especially if they are not loved to pieces. My SIL was moaning today that she will just 'die if it is twins' and I was thinking that I would race her to the grave as our twins were due last December. I just don't know how I could bear it, really.
Oh my goodness will you listen to me? PATHETIC! I am afraid that I am the true BridgetflippingJones of the TTC world. In fact, I have even put on a stone since last summer and NONE of my clothes fit. (Bear in mind I was PG with twins then too.)

I must really hold out for my own BFP in the next week or so although I've no idea how something as obvious as ovulation might have snuck (is that even a word? sneaked? YKWIM) past me...

Big Thanks to all of you today because I was feeling so rotten this morning that I could barely function and within minutes you had me laughing. A Big Mac now that is certainly a suggestion!

Will re-read this thread once the little ones are in bed and post some Good-morning messages for your side of the Altantic.

Cadmum · 20/04/2005 03:55

OK like everyone else I should really be doing some work. Another crap day, wind and rain and I am supposed to be out all afternoon. Wonder could I change my appointments and just read Mn all afternoon!!

Lottielou · 20/04/2005 09:58

Morning All!
And how are we on this fine Morning!
Welcome Hell Kat. So sorry to hear of your m/c Are you TTC now or waiting for AF to arrive. I am sure you will be kept very warm and secure here and find great support from all these lovely ladies! I know I am!
It has taken me sooooo long to catch up with everyone since i wnet home form work last night. It is probably a good thing that i dont have my PC connected up at home yet as otherwise i would be sat on MN all night long! LOL
Bella - How are you after your ordeal at the Dentist? x
Heres & Rom - How was the wine last night? I have to say had a bad evening with DP last night so participated in a glass or 2 or 3 !!
Twinklemum - Sorry, no experience with Depo Injection but am sorry to hear that it is taking you a while
Meant to give you a little info about me yesterday pm but got distracted with work( how dare they make me do reports when i have MN to cathc up on)
I'm 22, DP 28. Known each other for 5 years, finally gave into eachother 2 years ago. Got Engaged at New year and have been living together for almost a year now in the Midlands. Lived here all my life as DP has. Have very close familes around us giving great support (allthough future in-laws are a little too close for my liking sometimes). I'm a Marketing Manager and DP a Projects Manager.
We are waiting for AF to arrive after M/C 2 weeks (ish) ago before we start TTC again. Can't wait to start again am willing AF to hurry up!
Well another day, lets all stay positive and lashing of baby dust for everyone! x x

Diddle · 20/04/2005 10:50

Lottielou- you sound very cheery today, how are you feeling? Still no sign of AF then i wish she would hurry up and visit us. I'm so impatient. I'm trying to ration myself from mumsnet. i'm managing to leave my pc for at least 10 mins now thats good for me.

Lottielou · 20/04/2005 11:03

Yeah i guess i am feeling quite cheery. Not sure why as DP really annoyed me last night There was a family wedding last week (DPs Fam)and he got a card from an ex, wishing his family well (which was nice i know but not for me) They were together a while. With what we have been through it really upset me as he seemed pleased to recieve it and the cheek of it wanted to put it on the mantle piece! We spoke about it last night and he told me it meant nothing and i was over reacting, he couldn't see me point. MEN!!! I trust DP with my life but to see his reaction and not take into consideration my feelings i was hurt.
No sign of AF yet but i know when she does arrive i will be so so so happy! knowing i can get down to some serious BD'ing
Other than that i am feeling not too bad today, trying to see the brighter side of the day. I know SOON AF will come and it will be a start of a new chapter again!
Am finding myself more and more addicted to MN, must not keep logging in! LOL
How are you feeling today Diddle? x

Bella23 · 20/04/2005 11:06

Lottlielou - congrats at engagement at New year, any wedding plans yet or too early days?
I hope AF makes an appearance soon for you and Diddle

Wendy - fingers crossed for the ey face this afternoon. Where do you live as its lovely and sunny here in London, had a nice walk into work this morning, its great how much more positive you feel when the weather is sunny! ...you watch the rain will come now!!

Bella23 · 20/04/2005 11:09

Lottielou - remember that your hormones are all over the place so you are bound to be feeling more sensitive than normal. If you look at it this way...that your DP felt comfortable enough to be open about receiving the card from his ex and putting it on display like you would a card from anybody else means that he really does think of her like any other friend or acquantance and wasn't making a big deal about it. With the hormones racing though I can understand why you saw red though!!

Lottielou · 20/04/2005 11:12

Thanks Bella!
We are plannining the Wedding for July 2007. A while away i know but the wedding i want i'll need months and months to plan it. We are booking it in July this year! Exciting!
Glad that the weather is nice for you, i'm in the Midlands and it's really dull and dreary! Shine some my way!

george32 · 20/04/2005 11:14

Hi all,
Another faint line today ( - hooray). Promising myself that no more testing til Monday now. Been trying to arrange DPs birthday & now have his Mum cooking us & the kids a roast on Sunday & then a massage booked for him before we find the hotel on Monday - really excited, has a dream about it last night!!

Hellkat, so sorry you have to join this thread. I do hope that you are being kind to yourself and that you don't have a long stay.

Lots more talk of wine I see!!! Hmmmm, tried Eisberg last time & it is just so not the same. Very . Hadn't thought about it for weeks & now, can't get it out of my head!!!

Twinklemum, I was on the depo injection about 3 years ago and I knew that it could take a long time to get out of my system. Combined with the fact that it seemed to be making me bloat more & more each month I knocked it on the head. I was told that it could stay for up to a year. I used to think that the pill could have an impact but have completely changed my mind as I caught 3 months after being off it, a friend the first month and have read somewhere that it may even make you more fertile. If you aren't already, have a go with OPKs so you definitely know that you are ovulating and BDing on the right days.

Munz, "only" once a day!! "only????? We couldn't even manage once a day!!!! Think you are doing fine.

Hope you are feeling brighter today Cadmum. Have you looked on e-bay for the ey OPKs? Think there is usually someone selling them. By the way, I've also put a stone on. Just can't stop eating cakes!! Struggle to fit in anything I own and now it's getting warmer, I can't use big jumpers to cover my bulging belly!

Rom, how are you doing? Are your temps still playing up or has AF arrived. You never know, mine have been up & down like anything. Nothing is certain till AF. Fingers crossed still for you.
Bella, Good luck with your BDing. If you e-mail me your address, I'll have the l**ky p/g test across to you in time for this month!!

Lottie, Diddle, I felt so much better once my AF arrived. Means that you take control of TTC again as you know where you are with your cycle. Take the time now to order in as many tests as possible!! Always made me feel better POAS even if it wasn't the right time

Hope everyone else is OK. Sorry for really long message, fingers got carried away!!
xx

Lottielou · 20/04/2005 11:22

George - another faint line, yay!
Wont mention the wine again unless DP annoyes me again! LOL
I think me n Diddle are on tenderhooks, needing to know where we are at! Where is the best place to get OPK's from? Haven't used them before? x

Lottielou · 20/04/2005 11:23

BTW George, that brithday celebration for DH sounds lovely!

romilly · 20/04/2005 11:25

welcome hell kat - so sorry to hear what you've been through. you must be a very strong lady - and glad you've come to our crazy thread.

lottielou - gotta admit i would be a bit miffed if d/h wanted to proudly display an ex's card too - but i think bella's probably right that it is a better sign than him squirrelling it away somewhere!!

cadmum - sorry about sick family. i am sick today as well, not like me - cause i usually have a stomach of iron, but couldnt go to work today, exhausted and nauseous plus my temp had rocketed this morning. if i hadnt got wretched AF yesterday i would be feeling very happy with these symptoms! dont feel bad about work as i've been doing more than fair share of extra hours this week.

didnt hit the wine last night bella, felt too rough after all. glad you didnt muppet-up your OPK again!!LOL bella - another blonde!

dramaqueen - good signs! how are you enjoying the ante-natal thread? are they as nuts as us?!

wendy - v. pleased to hear the grapefruit juice is doing the trick its amazing isnt it.

munz - can you walk??!!!!!!! (sorry that is a bit naughty - bad rom)

WHERE IS YELLOWBEAR? CALLING YELLOWBEAR!

Morning all......I haven't posted on here for a while but am following everyones progress closely.
Just a refresher about me....
me age 32
DH age 31 (been together 10 years this month)
DS age 5
m/c first one 4 weeks ago.
I had a missed m/c....found out at the scan and opted to take a tablet to start it off. Then was told to return to hosp 2 days later where would have pessaries inserted! YUK! Fortunately tablet was enough and lost most of it at home.....on the mend now and feeling less desperate to be pregnant than I was a few weeks ago when I posted!
I am on Day 30 after the m/c and just have a question about what my period should be like. I have been spotting occasionally since Sat- brown rather than red - had a little red yesterday - but no AF. Does it take a while to get going?? I know it is prob normal but just wondered?? Will feel so much better when AF over and can start trying for much wanted baby.
Any advice gratefully received.

Lottielou · 20/04/2005 11:32

Rom - yes your probalby right, now i think about it the more I may of over reacted a little Oh well, damn hormones! Sorry to hear your feeling under the weather! x

Lottielou · 20/04/2005 11:36

well as soon as AF comes Boots had better get stocked up! LOL
RachelRog- Hospital told me that it may happen like you have described, sounds like AF is on its way for you though.
